Mischief of Mice – TOP 40+ Quality of Life mods for Minecraft! Bit by Bit by Mischief of Mice!

Welcome to the mischief I’m Belen and this is a list of my top quality of life mods for you there’s well over 30 in here so let’s get down to this as quickly as possible so you can get through them bass first is gonna be ding when you’re done loading your mod pack

You should hear a little ding in your background just like that and it’ll let you know when your mod pack is done loading up very simple sometimes your mod pack can be very large in this will take a while yeah next we’ve got tipped the scales it adds

In a simple slider so if you want to change your UI you can actually do so with a little like slider instead of having to try and find this this thing and you can actually slide it to the size that you want and so on it’s pretty convenient just adds a little nicety

There number 3 is toast controls you can notice when I spawn into a world I don’t have all those little pop-ups that show up on the very top of the screen oh that can be so annoying when you’ve got these things telling you to punch wood all the

Time the mod pack isn’t even oriented around that well hey you know what you can do away with that with toast control next we’ve got step assist or rather step up as the mod is called if I’m hitting the J key you can see it is currently disabled so therefore when I

Walk into a block nothing happens I can turn on the vanilla auto jump which you’ll see I will actually let’s see if I can do this I’ll do a little hop instead of the just automatic step up or you can have the new and improved version where you just automatically

Step up one block Heights it’s really convenient and very helpful especially if you’ve got a mod pack that requires you no need to not eat as much or something I don’t know it’s something that I I must have in most of my mod packs alright this next one is tomb many

Graves – yes there are several grave stone mods this one kind of hits the middle or at least it hits it right on the spot that I like so as you can see I currently have this little black smoke going off into the distance this is where my grave is currently located at

If I want to see what I had on me I can right-click and I’ve got a list that I can scroll through all the items that were in my inventory it also works with several other mods that might you know otherwise be a little more difficult and if you have certain map

Mods installed you can always see your latest death on there like in this case I have zeros mini-map and if you’re in creative you can a teleport to that location therefore get to your death point even quicker and you’ve got your little face here right-clicking well allow your inventory to not be adjusted

So therefore nothing that is in my inventory will be moved or you can change it so that items that were in your inventory previously will kick out other items once you are done with this though you throw it down on the ground it just disappears into nothingness and

All I have to do is just sneak and all the items go exactly where they were in your inventory before pretty darn cool no need to resort and collect all your items that may or may not have fallen into lava on your pie speaking of zeros a mini-map let’s

Actually bring that up if you notice here by pressing you key I have a list of different way points you can have them disabled so that they don’t show up for instance or you can enable them you can share them in your chat but with others therefore putting a little link

Down here that you can click on by going in here you can add that waypoints to it you can choose the different colors and so on it’s really convenient as well as you can turn on a mini-map at the top there you can change its sizes all sorts

Of settings as you can see here that you can mess around with and it’s rather lightweight now on top of that we’ve got zeros world map which adds a little bit of heaviness to it and this is where it kind of differentiates itself from other

Mod maps if you will because if you hit the M key when you’ve got this installed you can then see a zoomed out version of the map I still find it quite nice and rather lightweight in comparison it’s one of the first if not the first map

Mods for Minecraft and has come a long way and is still one of the top ones out there and personally I find it very convenient very not glitchy at all and sometimes it could be a little GT in some cases so you got to watch out which

Mod pack you’re playing it with alright this next one is pretty basic diet hoppers now more recent versions of Minecraft doesn’t need to worry about this but older versions do you can now actually click around a hopper in the same block space as you can see here I’m

Breaking the sand instead of actually trying to break the hopper in that space without this you would be affecting the hopper when trying to dig in these areas it allows you a lot of options with therefore accessing your inventories and furnaces and stuff on top of that I

Recommend this next mud uppers which adds an option to put down hoppers that go up it’s the same exact thing so let me set something up here there we go I now have a hopper going down into this chest and upper going up into this chest therefore creating a circle so let’s put

A piece of wood and you can see it will appear every now and then now let’s put a hoe and let’s put a pic as well and you can see now it is currently cycling these items in a constant circle throughout here yes of course so this

Will create some sort of some tick and whatnot if you leave something like that going but at least you get the idea that you can now transport items up at a simple more vanilla style now if you want something a little prettier in your display cabinet as it is there are

Several items display offers you this that’s yes that’s the name of the mod and as well as the configurator now the display will offer you a way of displaying things let’s say I’ve got a special hoe that I want to display sneak right-click and it will actually freeze it in place

Right-click you’ll pick it back up if you have something that does not go into this spot you can always hop her into it and hop her out of it as you can take things putting a hopper underneath it and so on this will allow you a lot of

Different ways of just showing off your your loot now if you use a configurator which is actually really simple to make as well then you can also kind of make it go different directions as well going up down left right back forth it cetera within a few blocks of it so you can

Actually hide the display itself if you so desire and therefore have this just kind of floating in air this next one it’s called find me if I’m trying to find something like let’s say gold or I need to find it in these other chests there’s nothing but I’ve got a whole lot

Of chests nearby and I need to find it you can just press the key and it will highlight the chest that it’s currently in very simple somewhat vanilla and a real time-saver for when you need it this next one is called apple skin and it basically allows you to see the

Nutritional values whether it be the saturation how much it will heal over time or how much it will actually heal on your hunger bar as well just by holding the item you’ll start seeing a flashing effect on here and it’s really useful comes with the apple corer MOG

Requirements as well but it’s really nice and therefore allows you to see how effective the foods are especially if they’re going to be healing you anytime soon this next mod is called inventory tweaks and it allows you a lot of different things actually in as well as chest sorting inventory sorting as well

As it will allow you to land item restocking so if I have one here and five there and I’ve placed down my last block it will automatically restock that item and or broken tool into my hand you can also configure this a lot of different ways including how when you

Reshuffle your inventory it may or may not automatically restock things in specific slots specific inventory locations and so on this next one is called nature’s compass and it’s really really useful for finding those hard-to-find biomes have you ever gone on a search for something that you need

To craft and you know you can’t find the biome and you’ve gone thousands of blocks and you just done you can’t find it anymore that that’s pretty much what this does you just right-click this thing and you can actually scroll through the items let’s say I want a

Cold taiga Hills I can click on there and start search and then when I look at my little compass it will actually tell me on the top their status it’s found cold taiga Hills it gives me the coordinates and the distance 5,000 blocks if you’re not sure exactly where

You just follow the pointer around the compass itself and you can continue on in that direction to find it it’s as good as that now if you’re in a certain mode here you might also like maybe a creative mode you might also be able to tell port directly to that biome which is

Really darn handy let me tell you this does also work really well for modded biomes so if you need to find out if something is available in your mod pack you’re not sure if it’s spawned in or what not this is a really good tool even

If you don’t use it in your mod pack in general another mod is called just enough resources you’re familiar with just enough items here right well just enough resources if you hit R for the recipe on gold or or any other types of or types it should automatically tell

You where they’re most likely to be found what dimension and so on you can use this with most ores as well as a few other things you might be able to configure and so on in order to find where they’re at the percentages of which you’re going to find them and the

Y level of which you’ll be able to locate them it’s really handy and you can even use it on things like you know another or other dimensions speaking of ores let’s get into or excavation this is a favorite of mine you can put down several ores you can even configure what

Will or will not be affected by this and you can mine things up by pressing down the hotkey in this case it is the grave or the tilde in the top left of most keyboards you can then therefore mine veins of items or if you have things blacklisted it still doesn’t end up

Affecting things that you want you can have white lists black lists you can actually carve out shapes long tunnels and paths and so on it’s really helpful and nice to use a little time saver you can have it just affect ores if you really want to there for just allowing

People to just that little extra quality of life this next one is one of my favorites it’s not so much a quality of life I guess as much as it is just immersive passable leaves and that allows you to actually pass through leaves now if you fall through them it

Will also slow your descent but doesn’t work on all of them for example this is a modded leaf most modded leaves will be affected sometimes it won’t so that’s just something you’re probably gonna have to set in convicts but it is really nice it enables you a certain measure of

This it works especially well with the mod swing through grass allowing you a measure of being able to attack enemies through bushes and the difficulty of doing so really really nice this next one is called simple harvest which there’s actually two mods by the same name simple harvest with a

Space between the two words will have a different effect than simple harvest without the space so with the space you right-click the item the the drops will automatically go into your inventory I now have seeds and wheat let’s do this again there we go I now have two wheat

And two seeds it will automatically replant anything in here if you have an extra seat so it effectively uses one of the seeds if you use simple harvest without the space in the title then it will have the items drop into the world instead of going directly into your

Inventory so it’s up to you on which one you prefer for your mod back this next one is a really really big one that I wish was in more mod packs controlled burn this allows you a lot of control over fire in Minecraft you know how

You’ve gone off to the some of those mansions and you find the entire thing burnt down because of lava well you can actually change it so that lava doesn’t set fires you can change it so that fire spread is more or less off but it will still destroy the blocks that it hits

You ever have those dragons and fire and ice just destroy villages and you therefore die because you you just can’t move with all the fires going on well you know these will I sped off the tick rate of just the fire so it burns out very quickly and doesn’t spread with or

At least a very minimal chance of spread so therefore it’s a little bit more manageable on servers as well as it’s not just going to destroy your FPS so that you unfairly get killed by some red dragon but then again you can always change it so that it enhances things and

Goes much longer and spreads much faster this next one is called born in a barn it’s actually something that should be on most mud packs at least for those in 112 and that is there’s a glitch where sometimes where the villagers open and close doors in villages it would

Actually load chunks or keep them loaded rather and this could be quite an issue especially when you visited several villages then you’ve got all these chunks being loaded and so on oh this this fix is quite a nice little bug they’re an older minecraft or at least 112 so this next

One is to avoid that right there where are you going brick and horse get back here it’s it’s a really really handy mod let me show you how it works it is called dude where’s my horse and it is very useful for bringing back lost entities not just

Horses it also works on others as well so if you just sneak right click with your ocarina which by the way it’s just a bunch of glazed terracotta whoa okay so this is successfully claimed entity you see that did that was a crazy it randomly plays different tunes you can

Also attract multiples there we go yep and now we now have a couple of these if I sneak right click while I’m in the air he says now tracking the horse and I can potentially I actually use this earlier on there we go successfully playing the entity now tracking the pig and the

Horse just by sneaking and clicking in the air so if I want I can say alright well I want the pig come here Pig ooh I’m gonna run over here and teleport ooh the only thing is the area that they’re in has to be loaded so if you try and

Teleport them without the area being loaded it won’t work and if you want to switch to the horse say hey get over here so we can go on our adventure etc then there you go that that’s pretty much it so I think I think I can just

Can i connect yes now we can go off we are thank you this next mod is called Auto third-person it’s fabulous when you click on something like a horse you automatically go into third-person view when you jump into let’s say about automatically in third-person view if you want to fly

With your Electra automatically into third-person view grabbing well but that’s pretty much all it does it just automatically jumps into third-person view for several of those mods that you might find well useful as well as if you end up going through some of these different

Issues oh my gosh it cannot it can fix some of those things oh no wait it can’t fix those things that’s what you need third-person camera fix for therefore if you’re going through non collidable blocks like this you no longer get that camera stutter like you just saw where I

Was walking through blocks and suddenly it would do a zoom in and zoom out but if you have a non collidable block like leaves or tall grass or tall ferns you shouldn’t have any problems anymore it’s nice do you ever have a problem where you’re climbing some tall steep edge and

You just need to get up that that one double block and you can’t quite make it well that that’s what wall jump is for you just jump and jump again I did a bit by bit on this one and I think it still needs to be called out again it’s such a

Fantastic mod highly configurable you don’t have to allow it to do too much you can also add on things in the context that allow you to do a double jump in midair I don’t have that equipped right now I was just trying to fly with my Elektra instead but you can

Do a double jump you can have it so you move faster or slower when you jump or double jump you can have it so that you are flung much higher when you grab on to things and climb up to another ledge you can jump back and forth on walls

It’s fabulous have you ever tried a new mod pack or you’re making a new mod pack you’ve got new mods adding new biomes or new ores things like that and you want to know hey does this actually have those new ores in it and and you figure

Well I’ve got to start taking down it’s just not gonna know that’s what world strippers for I may not like the icon but it doesn’t mean that the mod isn’t that good the mod is actually really good you hit the Delete key it tells you that the world is stripping lag may

Occur and then POW you can now see all of the different ores and whatnot that are non-standard underneath it will eliminate any mundane things from vanilla minecraft like gravel and sand clay dirt diorite and all that good stuff and it’ll just leave the ores now there may be some items from modded that

Might also be in there you know like you might see some marbles or some weird stones like that but in the general sense you should be able to get a little x-ray view of things you can also undo this with a key though it may end up

Changing some things if you had stuff going on with entities up above so be careful about that this next one is actually a combination in two mods it’s called fast workbench and the other one is called fast furnace therefore allowing you when you shift click in and

Out of these vanilla items it will therefore be quickly transferred into these locations rather than give it a moment you know where it might be taking its time to craft stuff it also will remove in your own inventory the little crafting book that vanilla minecraft comes with but then again you don’t

Really need it if you’ve got jei you can turn that on and off in the comics but there you go pretty darn cool just a little bit of a nice quality of life option this next one is called fast ladder climbing it’s simply that you climb faster in the

Direction that you’re looking so if I look straight forward I will climb at a normal speed I look up I climb fast down even faster you get the idea it’s really quick and easy to get up and down ladders now no longer do you need to

Wait all day to get to your location and this one is called better advancements it simply is that you know the advancement screen you get to it and it looks kind of weird well you know this actually fixes a lot of that and makes things a lot more approachable easier to

Read and all these extra tabs that you can actually use as quests as you so desire for the mod pack of choice and then of course we’ve got carrion it’s just a very simple way of allowing you to oh here we go this one’s got some

Stuff in it allowing you to move chests around and therefore replace them as you so desire let’s actually mix this up a bit and then I can put it back here and there we go it also works with entities as well come here Pig ooh I got a little Oh

Pick you up here there you go just got to be close enough to do it you can transport things to wherever you need to instead of needing to worry about using a lead on a side note though you might want to make sure that if people can or

Cannot depending upon what you want your mod pack to do pick up items that that might be restricted this one is called enchantment descriptions it simply adds in descriptions on enchanted books so if you’re not sure what it is you can press the left shift button in this case and

Therefore it will tell you a brief description of what the books are now there are some mods this actually works with and therefore it can be even better for that plus you can modify it to add those descriptions yourself this last one is a combination of two different

Mods depending upon which one you prefer and that is either quick leaf Takai or fast leaf decay either way when you end up chopping it down let’s actually just do this with a little bit of ore excavation in mind your leaves will quickly disappear instead of hanging

Around for a good 5 10 minutes like vanilla minecraft you probably have noticed that I don’t look like I’m actually wearing any armor I mean it’s not displayable at least but yet I have this stuff equipped well that is thanks to cosmetic armor reworked this allows

You to turn on the option of seeing the armor or even adding in your own special glamour version if you wanted and therefore there we go I can look like I’m wearing chainmail but actually have diamond done it’s pretty cool especially if you have a lot of modded stuff things

That just make your armor look really pretty but yet you don’t want to necessarily use those options this does allow you for extra slots of carrying armor but it does not actually benefit you in any other way short of just aesthetics so if you really want to just

Look really cool even though that cool armor looks like crud or you want to have your specific dyed leather armor but you want to wear diamond protection this is the mod for you this next one sound filters has been one of my favorites for a very long time it

Doesn’t add a ton to Minecraft it’s very lightweight it adds a very small touch but it’s very noticeable that is echoes in these chambers it also will change sound sources that are around corners in walls and water and stuff like that it definitely adds a lot to the ambiance

When you’re out mining and you’ve got the kind of the echo of the the caves going on well speaking of sound let’s go over super sound muffler this one allows you to carry either a personal version that you’d have to carry on your person whether it be in a bubble slot or just

In your inventory or you can place one down near blocks that you want muffled and therefore you can whitelist or blacklist these items and therefore you can add in stuff like I’ve got this lava popping next to me I don’t want that anymore I don’t want any any lava at all

And you can actually change its range down to three we can add in some more lava so that it affects all of them if you would we so do it and decided to let’s do it lava pop add that as well and now I hear nothing so if I mind this

Up you can hear the lava again this next one that I showcase a long time ago called oops undo oh no I don’t want these blocks placed there I didn’t want to do that CLI I’m in survival as well I didn’t do anything specific you have up

To three seconds to just right-click any block that you have recently placed and therefore it’ll go right back into your inventory allowing you to kind of fix things oops I didn’t want that one there and oh oh this one is stuck that one was longer than a few seconds there so you have

Some brief fix moment so if you’re building your another portals this is a real time-saver for you I’ve only got a couple left but this one is a doozy if you’re not playing with Optifine which I don’t know if most of these mods will or

Won’t work with it but it simply adds in a zoom in fact it’s called item zoom but it’s not this kind there is this kind where it actually highlights the items as I’m hovering over it item zoom is really really cool speaking of zooms there’s also simple zoom as I said it is

A simple zoom but this one here with the letter C as it is by default which you can always change will actually zoom in things so you can see what’s going on this one is the one that really adds in the Optifine benefit but it unlike the

Previous one my bad hey but you get the idea you can see things from far away that you can normally see has before and the last but not least is called lapis stays in the enchanting table got a regular enchanting table and we’ve got an enhanced enchanting table which

Is basically just got an eye of ender added in next to it does exactly the same thing the only difference is that as one would expect you put lapis in here instead of it going back into your inventory oh wait look at that it actually did ooh it does

Either way it’s just a matter of what config options you have set up for it you can actually set it up so only this works or you can have it up so that they both work up to you and there you have it my friends well over 30 excellent
