Modee – Getting Warped (Minecraft Mage Quest | Part 54) [Thaumcraft 4]

Good evening and welcome back to mage quest i’m modi apparatus on today’s episode we are going to turn to the dark side we’re going to work on some warp in a thumb craft let’s get going all right so as i mentioned today we’re going to do some more work in the thumb craft

We’re leaving our botany a ways behind we’ve uh done much in this and i think we’ve progressed pretty much as far as we can go um we could always do more mana and that kind of thing but uh you know what’s the point you know we’re just gonna get more

Mana to make more things that we don’t really need right now anyways i thought it might be fun to do some more thumb craft thing because really we’ve been sticking to the light side of thumb craft avoiding warp for the most part here but today we’re gonna dive into that and get

Fully warped hopefully um what i want to show off today also is that i did some work in the end you remember last time i left off we were making a ender pearl farm and so i’ll take a look and see how that’s going so this is my new entrance way a little

Work into mind with the resources i had in here which was mostly just obsidian and end stone brick uh easy to make just put some endstone together to make against on brick and this is from botania also adds that in and then a nice little path going around here

And then this is my uh enderman safe farm i just look at these guys here bring them over to the area and they get killed off here and i’m safe from them no matter where i stand and they die off and they sometimes drop the pearl sometimes they don’t i gotta

Stand here and collect the pearls though hi guys how’s it going over there wanna come uh try some of this flower here really good i can punch him too if i want to but uh safe enough for me um so yeah this is about a little uh it’s a little slow

But uh it’s better than uh than it was which was now we uh now we get tons of enterprise oh hey hey hey there we go that’s all i can see see how this goes pretty quickly though it is a little loud though but no fuss no muss no effort on my part

Whatsoever that’s what i like anyways let’s get out of here uh let’s go to our thumatorium and uh oh that’s right i can’t go out that way uh i have to go find the portal which i think is over here i want to say yeah there it is i love

That thing i love to have the exit beacon there why did i take off just fall damage i don’t really take damage anymore i just kind of wonder what happens when i do things we got our dragon egg here i’m not quite sure what we can do with it is

Our use for dragon egg in this let’s see here quick we want that for anything dragon egg uses just no uses just looks cool um drops yeah drops one every single time and uh that’s it any can spawn in any biome okay sure sure can um yeah so i don’t think there’s really

A use for this i guess we’ll just leave it here we can always take it with us but uh whatever uh okay so let’s uh let’s head home and escape through this and end stuff here back safe in our bed but not for long because nowhere will be

Safe very soon because we are going to do some work in the thumb craft to really mess ourselves up quite a lot let’s get our armor back on here wow i still wasn’t taking any damage even with no armor on that’s interesting my my room my runic rings and my absorption

Absorption ring is uh doing the doing the good work here so what do we need we need the uh nomicon where did i put that you think oh my gosh that’s our most crucial thing here here we go and uh let’s see do we need anything to do in this still west

Manual’s kind of left us behind i mean we really moved away from this now we’ve completed all of our classes ready to graduate uh two unclean rewards for what magical chores maybe no initiation possibly uh monster hunter sure we can disclaim that and uh we’ll get the mob killer

Sure why not it kind of offsets each other because this is like plus this is plus light minus dark and this is oh this is plus light minus dark and that one’s plus dark minus light yeah so it kind of balances itself out there’s no real advantage that i think i don’t

Think it’s a fully implemented thing um we have like eight light for mostly neutral there i don’t know if it gives you bonuses after that maybe we’ll find out um friendly is 10. i don’t know what these things do for you though oh maybe we’ll find out

It’s easy enough to get to uh or six for my preservation or even like house as as nori and as as an orion uh we’re we’re still six i don’t remember doing anything for them but somehow we raised it up in earth for some reason is a negative eleven i don’t know that’s

About so yeah these affiliations i don’t really know if they actually do anything in this um the houses that we actually did are they on here yeah hello blocka is is we were unnamed and unnamed um so there’s like not implemented whatsoever here and uh we could have still do the hedge mage

Quest quest lines if we wanted to it’s just making all these rings from adventures amulets was just kind of time consuming um or the uh the the runes we’re at the super green one which is the floral rune in floral garden also both of these are fairly time consuming to make because we

Need so many apples we didn’t so many apples we need nine apples for each of each like block and it’s just each seed and that’s like for pure daisies and for pure your seeds i think they’re called pure seeds pure daisies we need all that we need like

Vines we need grass blocks mushrooms apples it’s just kind of cause we need to collect those stuff saplings is not a problem mushrooms are a bigger problem and apples are the biggest problem but biggest time sink probably is just growing all the mushrooms necessary and all the apples necessary

But that is neither here nor there what we’re working on today is thundercraft so let’s head up let’s grab our um stuff let’s see we have this baton or just inkwell you go fill this up again um and also probably grab a regular inkwell

And fill that up too so we can have both and then we also will need some paper um i don’t know like that let’s open here is this full this one’s full i think looks like it is so we’ll have a full in there and we can

Use the buttoner just after we fill it up with uh fill it up with some mana goodness we need paper that’s my pointer reputation paper please all right there we go all right so let’s make a bunch of paper so we can do a lot of research today

And we’ll try to raise our warp up to see how bad we can get things to be let’s go to recharge these bad boys and let’s drop it in here i’ve been messing around with the uh the sparks a little bit here to see if i can get a

Good way to like get my large like manipulate going but so far for our purposes this has served us fine oh we want to switch that around to distribute there we go spearing mana two i’ll get that bad boy charged up doesn’t take much at all for this one

Yep that’s full and that will use mana instead of ink it’s another minor inconvenience um of having to recharge the thing with with uh ink so let’s put this in here and it’ll last a little bit longer i think than regular ink does so now we figure out

What we can do to raise our warp like a ton we’ve been avoiding the kind of warp related researches the forbidden knowledge and that kind of thing um but now we’re gonna be diving into and getting warped more much warp as possible here so we’ll get liquid death we’ll get bottled taint

We’ll raise our maximum warp just by researching these things and then also i think by completing the research we also get uh more warp so we got the nine can have nine tails for nine tailed nine hells rather uh which is like exploding bats it casts i believe

Uh pretty pretty fun you already got that one let’s see there’s warped for brain in the jar there’s work before there’s no warp for that one we’ll get it anyways this is basically completing all the research here for the most part um here we go this is a sinister

Lodestone yeah sure let’s do that uh auto magic i don’t think actually anything automatically is um warp inducing golemancy there are a couple that we’ve been avoiding advanced gold i’m sure let’s research that anything in this oh it tells me the medium this can be used to uh remove our

Harmful effects we’ll definitely want to craft one of these once we get well warped up here um protect yourself from the harmful outside influence redirecting these effects into a construct that tells me to spell the most harmful effects on the holder and keep them on itself

Taking damage it will remove some of the effect stemming from warp at an extreme durability cost so this is going to cost us durability on this thing we have to make more of them every single time um that we that we wear it out but if we

Really ever get sick of having a warp we can uh use this to remove it basically it must be worn in your amulet slot to take effect so um and we can disengage it too so we can get warped back whenever we need it so that might be a good thing to get

Going here right away we need smoky quartz which is just quartz and coal or charcoal just charcoal actually and we can make smoky boards blocks bricks ooh smoking quartz is kind of cool anyways we can make this pretty easily just gotta get some charcoal and then we’ll have uh well everything we

Need i think the gas here oh i don’t know if we have and then i don’t know if we have all of these essentials but we’ll look into that here let’s do some uh let’s do some more searching here there we go there’s some that was a free

That was a free one no no research needed there and then we need to have researching over this one and we don’t have that one yet we don’t have that one yet anything else that’ll give us warp pretty much it it’s flame won’t give us warp

So that’s pretty much all the warp we can get right now and i think we’ll get more as we research more things here hope we get bone for wand here research that um we shall probably research all these and upgrade our wands here at some point

Too and get some scepters and that kind of thing going because i’ll just hold more of these uh we already got that one okay let’s do some massive researching here and hopefully we have enough uh aspects to do all this oh we have plenty of air plenty of water

Plenty of fire oof ordo is the one running a little bit of thin and um yeah well we got a lot to work on so let’s see what we got here we got okay let’s let’s do a few of these and see how long it’s gonna take us let’s go water

Uh that that’s not gonna be tough at all um like this use anything from there whatever we have a lot of um what do we have a lot of it doesn’t matter as long as it’s um so we can replace easily like this and then like oh that’s not gonna work

So that one and then uh vacuous we’ll do the trick yeah there we go first research look what death done then we got uh magicka oh man pantio magica that’s not the right thing uh the sword one telum and beastia let’s go like this that’s earth oh our

Warp is beginning here can already feel it uh and then we’ll go earth is worth water fire this is a good path to go on here that consists of victus there we go cool got it and a bottle taint why would you want this i don’t know we have to research it anyways

And then anything with that in there okay so that’s that and then we just need to get from here to here which won’t be too tough we can do void and let’s go again and put idio in between there we go another one done and advanced golems for that we’ll go earth

So let’s see hmm oh we fire we have fire with that okay there we go got it nailed it sinister lodestone very tightly compacted one here gonna be difficult gonna be difficult we’ll go magic what is this one oh that’s pretty easy yeah that’s done and then we just need

To get from here to here to oh i feel like this oh it’s not gonna work look this way there we go got it connected sinister lodestone and then uh we have two more remaining and i should do it all right cool oh we got this new symbol here

I mean fortress armor and that’s not one of the ones i think that was going to cause a warp but it was fun to have anyways and then we have magic fire so like so there’s the path all right we found it one in between and then a fire between those nailed it

All right so let’s see if all this warp has unlocked anything for us in our through nomicon now and we have not unlocked the uh eldritch tab yet so let’s go back in here and start taking some of these things gained permanent warp all right let’s keep checking it

Let’s keep checking it to see how many it’s gonna take so far we got uh tier five vampire bats not a warp inducing thing anything else we unlocked here let’s take a look around quick here make sure i’m missing anything no research here through tinkering there’s some new research

Don’t see where it might be let’s do like a restaurateur we’ll figure that one out later um all right not there yet let’s do this liquid death oh that’s lithuanian fortress armor liquid death permanent warp see unlock some alchemy options ooh purifying bath salts okay so this is a thing to remove warp

We’ll need that at some point here the temporary thing only i think and here oops okay i didn’t need to research that we got it anyways if there’s anything oh here we go oh here we go this will be good we can do these for free

To do some more warp and we need sanyo and victus and get this one get this one so we can get all these different kinds of like masks to put on it running devil when worn this mask has an interesting dampening effect on those suffering from

Warp effect while it does not reduce the number of events it does reduce the severity somewhat so that will help us like through all this warp here um ghostly face plates under striking comment wearing this grim mask a creature striking you has a chance to suffer a withering effect

So uh source them right yeah i would agree and then uh the slipping fiend faceplate uh all you strike creature in combat while wearing this mask sometimes steal a portion of their life forces strengthen your own okay cool sipping fiend so it’s a vampire effect interesting uh we still have not unlocked the

Eldritch research all right let’s keep going here so i don’t quite know where our work is at now um we haven’t we haven’t got high enough to get the eldritch research done yet um i’m completely wrong about how to get this now let’s do this one last research here i

Think this is one that might unlock some new things related to warp we’ll try it get hurt anyways i guess it could hurt but it probably won’t hurt all right another purifying bath salts let’s see what this one unlocks this will knock the research up above that then the arcane spa and

The sanitizing soap arcane spa is uh going to remove some warp for us looks like temporarily um nothing can remove war permanently once you have it but we’re trying we’re trying to get there i wonder if we could just like eat a bunch of brains to get enough warp

To get those things unlocked maybe i’m gonna double check and make sure this is the way we unlock the eldritch thing here because that might not be at all how we do it let’s take a look here quick that is indeed how we have to unlock it we need to get enough warp

To uh get that tab to show up here so we’re going to try to do is eat a bunch of brains and see if that does it for us so we have 29 brains though oh we need to get hungry first though then we can eat some brains let’s run

Around for a moment so we can bring down our hunger and then we’ll eat some brains see if we can fix our warp situation which is a non-warp situation actually there’s also you could fight the eldritch guardian so let’s go fight him quick because that does also raise your warp temporarily too

So we’ll go fight him quick um and hopefully that’ll do the trick we’ll get these brains on the road and see what we can have uh if we can get enough warp to to get that research unlocked and then we’ll have all kinds of new stuff to play with

All new stuff to try here we go there we go temporary warp all right we’ll just keep eating brains and i’ll head up to fight that elder guardian and then hopefully we’ll have enough warp to to uh get that research unlocked here so far the side effects of not taking

Hold of me which makes me think that maybe it’s not working somehow maybe it’s broken i could double check that it might be turned off i hope it’s not we’ve had warp recently though i think um because you can actually disable it in the configs i don’t know if it was

Done at some point maybe um maybe i was sick of the warp i turned it off accidentally accidentally maybe i just turned it off i would just hang on the taint for a while maybe hang on here there we go now we should be hungry enough to eat these we’ve gained temporary warp

And then uh yeah i’ll have to check the configs if it doesn’t if we don’t start getting warped soon here i mean we did while we were doing the research we did suddenly have some of those like the heart pounding moment so maybe it is working

I don’t know all right let’s go see if the eldritch guardian wants to play with us good day sir oh hi guys whoa hey my whole posse showed up thanks guys we’re going to fight the elder guardian you want to come with it’s going to be fun it was a lot of fun

Come on boys let’s go here it comes hi man how’s it going he’s not really increasing my warp here there we go no problem when we’re standing here this is a puzzle’s warp at warfare hi guys thanks for thanks for showing up here let’s just keep you guys still now

Because i don’t need the whole posse whole posse helping me out here everybody’s already good this guy’s almost dead you guys are still walking around huh all right well i think this thing will respawn if we give enough space so let’s get away from it a little bit and they’ll come

Back and it should respawn but let’s go see if we got the research now nope no luck yet it would be like right here if we had it so our warp is not high enough yet we haven’t eaten enough brains there we go temporary warp

Let’s see if our friend is back here yet nope he is not um we are getting a debuff on as long as a hunger never mind that’s not gonna be good um let’s see we’ve scanned this one already i really don’t know what else we can do

I think maybe hang on the taint and then um i think there’s some items we can get that might help us increase warp let’s find out i think there’s a way to do it we’re going to try unlocked research today as the goal so let’s see if we harvest some of this

Let’s harvest some of this and see if uh that gives us anything paint plant maybe no nothing nothing there’s like a tender thing we can get i thought there it is oh my god these are new where are they now fibrous taint nope not doing the trick there we go i’m

Getting some bigger tentacles here now i’m not getting anything out of this i don’t think it’s causing us any warps let’s get out of here it’s not causing any warp i think eating brains is the quickest way to raise some inferior warts now we’re just gaining regular warp

Loads as we’ve gained war but sometimes it says we gain temporary warp um there’s this temporary warp i going the right way no we’re not this way let’s go back and see if our eldritch guardian friend is there again we’ll raise some warp that way hopefully

I wonder if we can go fight those crimson guardians guys i’m sure we can handle them now we can handle just about everything now nothing over here oh there he is come on you lose him what happened all right let’s keep eating brains oh there he is hi

Nope oh then again temporary warp awesome there he is again okay great we keep fighting to raise our warp up a little bit right he doesn’t drop anything ever this experience and uh it’s not unlocked for us yet i wonder if actually crafting these things would raise our world

Sometimes you know they’re really mad we need to drop something there real essence is nice there he is again oh i wonder if this we’re making a storm wars here all right so far no warp no no side effects no nothing and no war but locked so uh yeah we

Gotta think of some better ways to raise our warp up here i guess can we craft some warped items maybe and that’ll help us this is not enough whatever we’re doing here is not enough so maybe we need to do some warped items let’s do this cursed spirit blade

Yeah let’s do that let’s craft that so that might maybe crafting some of these items will help us raise some more oh these guys are just taking them out i’m not doing the trick though sorry guys okay come on come along now let’s get you guys out of here come on

Colonel uh oh seriously it’s gotta keep coming back all right now he’s done okie dokie let’s head back home and then we will uh craft that cursed spirit blade and see if it does the trick as far as uh getting us some more all right so i’m finally getting some serious effects

From warp and then i just had to pop up that we unlocked the eldritch research fantastic now we can do even more things with the eldritch research making void seeds don’t know why what any of that stuff does uh the eldritch chapter is kind of a

Mystery to me i’ve never done it before so we’ll get into this next time uh it’s kind of an abrupt ending i know my plan was to make this cursed blade here which we are very close to doing everything could just do it uh it’s pretty much just ready to go we got

Everything we need for this i think we don’t need that we need a the tener bray which i was working on making with obsidian and i think we only like five of that so that should be ready to go and then we also need phames which is uh used

Like in foods and that kind of thing which that appears mostly so i’m uh melting down some carrots right now and that should give us thumbnails we might have enough of it now 25 that should do it okay i think that’s everything we need then let’s go take a look

At the recipe here quick and it requires temporary oh humanness uh that we should have got that on hand right yeah there we go all right let’s go back up and we can do this and this will let’s start getting uh souls from things we kill now this does

Damage us to use it which is the one that drawbacks to it i think that’s everything we need we don’t need those other ones right yeah we don’t so uh we can just make this research happen it is not a super low stability it is let’s see under artifice where is it

There it is tells me uh that talisman um pinkers uh it is a high instability so this could be dangerous we’ll try here quick and see how it goes hopefully it’ll be okay i got this balance as i can make it two here one here one there it’s already looking a little unstable

That’s going pretty quickly though at least speed is the name of the game here because if you have it go slow there’s more chance for something to go wrong yeah it looks like it’s going okay oh yeah we’ll make it so that’s good to know we can do a high stability i kind

Of want to push the boundaries of this thing i don’t know what our stability is on this thing uh there is a mod out there that actually will tell you that but i don’t want to add anything into the mod pack here someone played just kind of vanilla mage quest what’s the problem

There we go all right so we got the spirits cursed spirits blade let’s go test it out on something here so carrying around gives us a little bit of a speed boost apparently oh yeah sure does and uh killing things with it will do damage to us

But there’s a chance to they then they drop a soul which we can use in the mob summoner so uh here we go guys oh geez only things which has a chance to drop but not every single time but we have a chance to drop it i don’t

Know if there’s many guys around here but that’s pretty much going to do it for this episode i just want to get all the warp and i wanted to get to uh oh now things are getting to be uh more difficult for us oh oh my god what is that

Another guy around here oh boy all right whoa where is he i don’t see him all right let’s just get out of here oh god warp is um dangerous so there he is hi hi there hi there thank you thanks all right flux phage four all right well that’s not good
