Good evening and welcome back to mage quest emoji apparatus on today’s episode we’re going to do some work in thumb craft work on making arcane distillery so we can get some essentia to make some really cool items in the future so let’s get going all right so as i

Mentioned we’re gonna be doing some work in thumb craft today i did a little work for botany between episodes here i kind of set this up a little bit better so we have um i’m working on getting some night shade for all these open spots here next to the

Bay blooms so basically the debris work during the day night shade is the exact same thing but at night it’s slightly less effective than the day blooms but it’s better than having nothing going and then of course we still have our what is this like 16 16 uh hydra hydranius hydro anges

Uh pumping some water and getting some uh mana that way i did some uh separating out of these put the end of flames in a light over here so i can kind of boost up this whole system when i need it and this will be firing over to wherever

I need it uh to go at that time mostly to our our runic altar i would believe and then i did a little bit of work over here so i kind of try to play around and figure out the best way of getting trees you’ll remember last time we made the

Mana blaster with the lens bore attachment and it works just fine on trees as well here it’s a little bit long range but what i figured out though is if i fire up at the trees i can almost knock out all of it without moving around at all it’d all fall down

To me so i’ve had to stand underneath it so basically the idea here is that these will grow up and i’ll be able to walk over here just fire straight up towards the sky here knock out all the wood and i should be able to collect it in

The future and actually right now i try to hopper hawk right here and what this does is basically just works like a vacuum hopper uh because vacuum hoppers don’t exist in this mod pack so we have to do the best we can with some magical flowers like from botania and

Basically this will take anything that falls on the ground here let’s just throw dirt on the ground there it should suck it up like that there you go and it should be in the hopper so we’ll put right in the right in the chest next to it then

Uh so it should collect all of these i don’t know if it will the range on this varies depending on how much man it’s receiving and as far as i can tell it’s not receiving any mana despite the fact that this is pointed at it

And this is getting mana from that so i have no idea why this is yeah this is not sending any man over to it so i’m not sure why that is um oh you know what it kills the can has to draw from the man of pool so

What i need to do here actually is get a second man a pool that was the issue it doesn’t get mad fired at it that’s more of uh different things here so if we make another mana pool which you actually have one here i can take some uh of this mana here

And fire it off and just put it at this one here so we’ll put something over here to uh manage that and then i can also put another aggregation over here to get these growing even faster so don’t worry about uh getting that done so often and it’s

Already hitting i placed it in a good spot i’m actually going to redirect it just a little bit um let’s click off this one click on this one and we’ll uh set it right there there we go so that should be getting some mana now and this should be filling up

Yeah there it is now it is filled so this will be select this will be collecting from even farther away now uh than it was before it actually was collecting pretty far away before but maybe it looked like they’ll be out here yeah oh wow okay so we can actually do a

Lot more with this we can make a much bigger tree farm that it can just you know go around with the mana blaster and fire up at it uh for now until we get some more better ways of of mining and uh also of uh chopping down trees that

Should be coming very very soon i believe with thumbcraft so domcraft is going to give us kind of abilities but first we need to do some you know essentia distilling we need to do some crucible things so one of the first things we want to do i don’t like using the crucible because

It’s a lot of it’s not very exact oh god i’m getting burned by the hot water um didn’t expect that to happen uh yeah so this is kind of inexact we can’t we can’t uh do um like we’ll get a lot of flux if we use too much of the same uh

Aspect for instance or too much too much of the aspect that isn’t used in a recipe or something so to avoid that i’m just going to go right to the arcane distillery and i did a uh the essentials distillation here this arcane distillery here um our alchemical furnace for instance

So we’re gonna make now so we need a crucible and some more cane stone blocks i’ve been cooking up some stone in here and we should have some iron in here and that should be all we need so let’s go make ourselves another crucible here which is just a

Cauldron tap with the wand and we can mine that back up so we can use another recipes and then we need some uh arcane stone i think i’m gonna use earth here so i’m just gonna go 10 of those probably more than i need but we’ll put this in

Here like this so we only have four but that’s okay it’ll make each one of these makes uh nine i think is what it makes so let’s take a look here quick yeah each one of these makes nine arcane stone blocks and we don’t need a whole

Lot of them actually so that’ll be plenty uh and then let’s take a look at the recipe again here so essential furnace or arcane alchemical furnace this requires a regular furnace then two um let’s just do a regular furnace then with some cobblestone like so okay so that should be

Everything we need i haven’t never made okay this is kind of the the achievement seemed to be resetting quite a bit because i clearly have made furnaces before um and then we take our crucible put it on top here and we have all the necessary viz

Or v i don’t know how to pronounce that but we got everything we need okay so now we can take this and start creating aspects from it now i’m going to put it up here i think this is my area for uh distillation for now um we’ll have a nice setup for this

Over here i think so i’ll put it like right here let’s put it here and then we’ll actually need to also need to make some ammo backs and those are we gonna make v filters and then we need to make the arcane ammo back and this requires gold a vis filter and

We have some i think we have some uh that’s right because last episode or episode before that we did a little bit of work finding some uh some silverwood trees and silverwood logs are here okay so i have plenty of silverwood logs and we need for an arcane elbec we need

Uh one of this filter which is just gold oh man so much gold there’s so much gold required for this we’re gonna have just enough though i think let’s clear all this stuff out and put these together i’m not going to i’m just going to do the bare minimum

Here we’re going to need a lot more i think in the future but we’ll do what we can so we got that and now we can make our first now we want a few of these i think oh man we probably want to do three but i can’t do three because we

Only have six gold oh man uh let’s see no more gold man we’ve really got to go mining for some gold here between episodes so uh i will make two to start with is that going to be okay yeah we can make two one more we’ll make two arcane

Enamel backs here to start with um because that’s what we can do and still get them crafted so we’ll go like this like this and then take another look at the recipe again it was uh iron in a bucket okay so actually i need this working table back actually

Probably just grab my old workbench out of here and put it next to it it won’t be my primary workbench but it’s nice to have a secondary thing i can build from so we got some iron and we’ll put this together like so and we’ll need uh two of those and then

That should be everything we need so look at this like this and we got one and then two oh insufficient oh no we’re going a little adventure here and collect some more uh aqua all right so let’s see we can do here do i have any aqua on the map marked

I’ve been marking these things as i find them let’s go waypoints let’s see fire earth and water there we go i found him as i’ve been marking them and that is oh pretty far away but we’ll run down there and grab that then let’s go on a little adventure

Cross country and uh let’s get our rod of the skies out so we don’t take any fall damage when we when we uh start falling off the world here and we’ll get over to that marker here not too far away 241 meters and it’s a little bit of a journey but it’ll be

Okay so if there’s a way we can actually move these down the road um you have to be kind of careful when moving nodes and that kind of thing you want to get them too close together they can kind of feed off of each other and when you drain out one it’ll feed

Off the other one here we go where is it i put it like right on top let’s get my thing on here maybe i can see it better then oh it’s right on top how about that okay so it’s got 30 water in it that’s perfect we’re only

25. let’s drain out all that we can and let’s drain it out we need to make better wands pretty soon here and also the goggles are revealing would be helpful to keep switching back and forth between these i could see what the uh the levels are in them without uh switching to my

My thermometer all right so let’s head back to the house and we’ll get this all set up so yeah if you’re if we start moving around nodes it’s gonna be just gonna be kind of careful that they can kind of combine and feed off of each other i believe

Um in this so we gotta be kind a little bit careful about it but i think we should be able to manage it there’s there’s some different machines we can make magical machines we can make that’ll protect them there’s a stabilizer i saw uh we could try looking at that

That should uh help them from not combining together hopefully um and draining from each other but yeah you can have one node completely destroy another node if you get too close together which can happen by accident too sometimes you’ll accidentally destroy one to uh get another but you can also make new

Nodes so you can actually plant those silverwood trees they are rare but you can plant them to get new nodes and uh yeah so we’ll have a way around it if that does happen if the worst comes worse i’m not super familiar with with doing a whole lot of messing with

Movement of nodes here so we’ll have to work on that here in the future but i think we’re getting close to that point we need a better one in order to do it cause we need uh 50 i believe as far as uh for each of the aspects

Um in order to do that so i think we have everything we need now let’s see we have enough water that should make this last one and bam okay cool so now we can take these over here and we can start distilling off of our uh thing right here now this thing

Will uh basically break down aspects break down break down items into their aspect so if i put in silver what it’s going to break it into um the the tree one i forgot what it’s called okay let’s just do this one i know these ones terra and perdita verdio

Uh so if we do cobblestone in there it’ll break it down to the terra and perdidio and it’ll be uh one two one and one basically so actually let’s throw some in there right now we need some coal to power it so just for an example

Here and then the other thing we’ll need is uh some jars to hold it in so let’s go let’s see coal let’s get some coal in there and coal is uh not too bad of a resource to use there’s better resources you can use aluminum as a better resource but also requires

Uh materials to make that so i don’t know if but that’s the most efficient resource to me i would rather just set it and leave it like that anyways now we need those jars and for that we’ll need some glass glass panes or glass blocks well i don’t know

Let’s find out here was i making glass in here i said what’s okay so let’s actually take a look at the book here and take a look at worded jars where the jars require glass panes and a slab of any type and then one water for each one so

Let’s uh let’s grab some slabs i have them i have nine that’s perfect okay great and we just gathered all that water just a minute ago so we can actually make a few of these hopefully two i guess that’ll do we’ll make two of those right away that’ll be our two

Aspects here and we’ll get started on collecting all the aspects needed for all the different things we want to make so uh basically what we’ll do here is once this is done distilling so it should be done already this will flow into here and we can actually use this

We’ve really got to make the goggles revealing here very very soon um let’s see so then we can actually see what uh is inside of these things so i don’t think we can actually see what’s inside of them just yet oh well all right so let’s just

Right click it and that’ll take it out there we go so we have uh two perdido and two terra so that’s the start of our collection here we got the we’re gonna get like the basic resources here we’ll put them like right here and my idea is that this is a nice wide

Open area we could actually use it for our infusion altar down the road here so i’m going to put this like we put all the different uh you know jars that i’ll need kind of in this in the area here it’s not super protected from creepers and that kind of

Thing that’s the only drawback to being out on the outdoors here we might have to make like a little better like moat around this thing maybe um i kind of liked how it was built into the mountain though but uh we’ll get some more uh

V from all this stuff and uh i’ll be right back actually i think what we’ll do here today is also set up the infusion out there if we can let’s go take a look and see what that’s gonna require all right so i did a little bit of

Research in the through nomicon here and we have the infusion altar unlocked now one problem we have with this is requires an ender pearl and besides that one episode where i followed enderman i haven’t really encountered any beyond that so ender pearls are limited for the moment we do not have

Any left and i also just noticed it requires 40 ordo which means we’re gonna have to upgrade our wands before anything else uh so we can’t do it with just the standard iron capped one we’re gonna have to get a better one before we do that

So i thought the best use of our talents today would be to do some magical gear here so we’re gonna make some uh enchanted fabrics here and make ourselves some nice uh nice little magical out outfit the thermaturgis robe the leggings and the boots and that’ll help us as far as saving some

V when we’re doing some crafting and that kind of thing uh we’ll use less aspects and then i also want to make the goggles revealing because that’ll help us with our other quests of finding more nodes and that kind of thing so what we need is i already did a little

Bit of work on this i got the second thermometer here we won’t need this one anymore actually we might need another one here but i’ll i’ll deal with it for right now we won’t be able to scan anything for the moment but uh there’s not too much we need to

Scan right now anyways i think i’m pretty much caught up when we start making the uh the altars and that kind of thing i think i scanned all those already i might not i might have missed a couple of those they actually i should mention

This i did a little bit of work on my uh distillery here so what this basically has is a couple of valves on here um these will just draw out the essential right now i can’t actually see what’s in there um even though i scan it right yeah even

If i scan it so what you can do is open those up and then open up the one you want to go into so this was i don’t know how does it say which one it is we’ll try that one first let’s see if that’s it

Yeah that was the right one we got lucky there uh so it’s taking out all the perditio and pulling it out of that one and this should be empty yeah it should be full um okay so it should have about 32 in there if i scan it will it work

No it just tells us this tells us what the aspects for that but when we get the goggles revealing it should tell us what each of those contains which will be very very handy uh for doing more of this stuff so let’s get that done

Right now that way it’ll be a little bit easier to do some distillery work and get all the different uh essential that we’ll need here so what we need to do is go over to our arcane workbench here and my wand is perfectly full here i got 25 of everything that’s the best

We can do we need a couple of these we’ll need some i think they go down here actually and we need a couple of this like this and i need to look at the rest of the recipe here because i don’t remember what the rest goggle revealing requires or is two gold

At the top and bottom okay so we got that right here someplace oh man we are so low on gold i cannot find any ever in the mines it’s few and far between anyways we’ve got the goggles revealing now so we put those on and bam we’re looking good oh my god yeah

That’s a good look indeed oh yeah rocking rocking some cool shades now all right so let’s go over here again and we’ll take a look at this now and it should well it’s not showing it i thought i really thought it would uh in other versions of this oh there it

Goes it’s actually in the oh man it was it already isn’t always in the way of there oh no there goes okay so we can see on top there um we can’t can’t see that one very easily oh it’s empty that’s why so we can see that there’s 32 tara

In the top one this one’s empty now that’s why it’s not showing up anything so now we can look at this too he tells us there’s two in there and 34 in there that’s exactly what you’d expect we’ll open those two valves up and draw it all out

And this is really as automated as i can get with it i think i don’t like to get any more than that usually i get some problems if i had too many tubes and uh adds anything more it’s a little bit of a tedious process to get essentia

But at least it’s reliable so uh that’s what i’ve been working for right now until we can get some more advanced stuff down the road maybe um all right so now we have that we need to make ourselves some robes and we should be getting a nice like healthy discount on uh

Arcane crafting here so let’s see how our wand did so we’re at 19.5 left as you can see it didn’t take the full points there now because we’re using we’re getting a little bit of a bonus from our uh our our viz cost um what we need now is we’ll need some

Shards i think no what’s what do we need here we need i think we need string and wool okay cool i think we should have some one here uh we need about oh actually that’s the exact number we need i think i counted up and we 19 will

For all the all elements of the gear here and those together with this and i think this was the right number just about the right number but we’ll need for this and it requires one aspect for each of the each of the the ask the primary aspects here

Um one point for each of those so that should be enough we can actually do all those and we’re missing one cost on each one and a half costs 1.05 cost on each of them oh man that sucks and we only have 0.6 unless than most of them oh that’s too bad

You know what we should have done is actually before we started making all of this we should have put our gear together here now that we’re out of uh stuff we’re gonna have to go back in another little adventure here to get some more now i did actually well

Let’s take a little break here i did a little bit of mining i was looking for more gold so we could do more things but uh didn’t didn’t prove too fruitful but i found something even better so my source of string down here is a nice little spider spawner not too far

From my my main mine here and as you can see from the map there it looks pretty beautiful right now it’s i’ve been pretty busy down here making all these little tunnels with my mana blaster and all that so i think it’s down this one yes this looks right i found a

Couple diamonds down here but i don’t actually have any need for diamonds for the moment so i’m leaving them how they are hopefully we’ll get a a looting not a looting but a fortune three on a pickaxe eventually so we can actually get more diamonds out of that

But for right now we don’t need any so i’m just going to leave those how they are for the moment and oh man i flooded this area on my way out last time so hopefully there’s some uh i think there’s some cobblestone one of these chests in here that’ll help

All right so i dug right into i was trying to dig away out of here so it’d be quick but i dug right into a lake so i’m just gonna lock this up i think it’s not uh flooding my whole area down here and if we put this in our hot bar we

Should be able to get some more uh v from just killing these guys and we’ll get more string in the process so it’s a nice handy way of doing it so now let’s take a look and see what we got here we got uh four three and three

If we kill these guys again from the safety of our little uh hidey hole here taking a little bit damage occasionally but not too much not too much problem and then we take a look at our wand again we’re at four seven four nine or four seven two

Four nine so this won’t take too long we’ll have enough in no time i’m just going to take a little moment here and do a little bit of a whacking on some spiders down here so i’ll be right back all right so i got all of the aspects or

Rather v that i’ll need to uh do this except for ignis the fire element and i don’t do i have a good spot for that let me take a look at my map here quick i don’t think i think i think i might have a waypoint for that uh firework earth water is

Ah this is the one we were just at before earlier this episode so i’ll just run back there quick we’ll fill up our ignis reserves once again and then we’ll come back and do some crafting all right so we’ve made it back home and we’re ready to finally put the last

Couple pieces of this together here uh we’ll do one more piece of wool another piece of string and hopefully i did the math right on this we don’t need to worry about too much here so let’s first make the shirt cool and then we’ll put that on right away

And then we can get a little discount for the rest of the stuff here too the pants everything’s gonna be cheaper as we go so now it’s 5.15 and the next one is some boots oops not that this so right now it’s at 3.09

And then if we put this on it’ll be at 3.03 so just a little bit of a discount but we’re doing something that only costs three it’s not that great but if you’re doing something that costs 40 it’s tremendous it’s tremendous savings so let’s grab those and we’ve got everything we need now

Let’s pop everything on here and we’ll take these iron boots off put this on and we’ll see how we look oh yeah that looks real good okay so i think that’s going to do for this episode we’re finally starting to look like a mage for once actually i kind of look ridiculous

With my skin and the way the glasses sit on my face my eyes just look a little bit too high for this uh this this character model and where the glasses are positioned i wish i could raise them up just a little bit it looks a little strange how it is
