Hello everyone my name is pixel riffs and welcome back to the minecraft survival guide i hope you guys are having a good day today we’re back here at the modern house we built in yesterday’s episode thank you so much for the love on that episode i’m really Glad that you guys are into the modern house build today we’re going to work a little bit more on this getting the interior finished because my word it is still a giant mess i haven’t done any kind of work on the floor here we only have one real interior feature which is This lovely fireplace i didn’t even do a balcony on the outside yet because i kind of thought of that as an interior decoration even though it is technically part of the outside of the build and there is so much we could do with this there is so much potential here and i’m Really looking forward to exploring some of that so today we’re going to do an interior design video focusing on modern interior and there are a couple of things that i really want to do with this build that i haven’t really done with any of the builds that i’ve done Elsewhere in the series specifically the stuff that’s meant to be a little bit more fantasy inspired first of all i don’t want to use torches anywhere i have them up here on the walls and stuff for now since they are kind of a you know an easy to acquire light source Something that i pretty much always got with me in case i need to go caving or anything like that but i do not want to have them in a modern build i really feel like they feel out of place and so this is also Going to be a bit of a look at how we can conceal lighting in an interior or make lighting a feature as in the case of this campfire block that’s going to still mob proof the build while also making sure that the torches don’t have to be spammed everywhere i also kind of Want to take a little bit of a different approach to this interior than i would with any of the other interiors that i’ve done in that i want to make it feel kind of you know minimalist and classy as opposed to cluttered and chaotic in the way that some of the medieval stuff Has been modern interiors much like the exteriors are all about kind of clean lines and a really kind of deliberate placement of stuff instead of throw everything down wherever you can and so yeah we’re gonna do our best to do some stuff with this interior and i need to Go and grab some materials from founders forge really because even though i’ve got my ender chest with me and that’s got some crucial stuff like bookshelves we are going to need a few other materials before we make this interior into something truly special i think the thing i’m most excited about though is Just getting rid of all the puzzle and grass on the floor and giving this whole thing a little bit more of a modern clean feel on the inside and i just noticed that maybe we have a couple more gaps to fill in the exterior here maybe we should swap that out for spruce Planks instead of stairs there’s a few design choices that we’re going to have to make inside of here but anyway let’s head back to founders forge let’s grab some stuff i’ll meet you guys back over here once i’ve got a few supplies together and we’ll build an interior Together hey folks welcome back so you may have noticed the number of shulker boxes over here has basically doubled i kind of wanted to bring a few different things over here and it’s a long trip to and from my base so i figured i might as Well bring a variety of stuff with me here’s the stuff i think we want to work with though i’m thinking about maybe using acacia logs for the floor which is not something i do particularly often but modern flooring also often has this kind of like gray wood Feel to it if you’re if you’re looking modern i don’t know for certain if this is going to look all that great when we just tile it like that though so i might try and find another texture to mix in here but i think having that as a Starting point is not going to be too bad obviously it’s gonna look very gray in combination with stuff like the fireplace and the walls but we will we will come up with ways of making that look a little bit more colorful with furniture and carpets and stuff like That for now though the acacia wood just has a subtly different kind of gray it’s got a little bit more warmth to it than the cold gray of the stone and the andesites so maybe we’ll go with that to start off with mostly i’m just excited To get rid of all of this podzol and stuff i’ve also got a bunch of dark oak wood that we’re going to be using for furniture and i want to make the balcony slabbed area out of that as well i’ve got some lanterns sea lanterns and end Rods for lighting so that we can swap out some of those torches also brought a few redstone lamps if we want to get technical we’ve got a few other types of material to work with including blocks of iron which are now pretty much abundant for me so i figured We might want to work those in here and there some note blocks some dark prismarines stuff like that textures that are a little bit off the beaten path and get away from the stone and the wood aesthetic and start to look a little bit more kind of modern and tiled And fancy i’ve also brought some of this stuff for detailing i brought a ton of snow layers that i’d farmed from a snow goal and we’ve got some leaves to decorate the outside with and some plants that we can put on the interior in flower pots i think that’s really Going to look quite nice especially with bamboo and stuff like that i’ve also brought some barrels because sometimes in modern interiors you get those kind of like vintage things or stuff that’s meant to look a little bit rustic by contrast to the rest of the surroundings stuff that’s been reclaimed or upcycled And i think barrels are actually just a really nice storage thing to have that looks very different from your standard kind of chests so i figure we might bring some barrels in here and uh pop them around if we want to as well my main concern right now though is just Getting rid of all the grass and snow and pods all that’s in here so i’m going to go ahead and strip out a bunch of that we are going to keep the variation in height in this interior though because i do have the back door over Here two blocks higher than i have the front door so we can work a little bit of that into the structure of the house instead of just flattening out the interior so it’s all one level i’m also while i’m at it gonna take the pods all Away from the front of the house here because i really don’t like the way that looks at the front and underneath the main front window we are going to add a row of stone bricks just to make sure that window looks like it is supported But the rest of this is going to be grass possibly even covered in snow and we might pile up some snow layers around the outside of this window as well there we go got this whole place looking a lot tidier now i like the step up to The next floor we do need to put a few torches down because i already had a creeper explode on me once while i was in here unfortunately wasn’t filming that at the time but uh these sections here is something i need to sort out really quick because the roof line does Extend past where we’ve built these larger structures into it and we are gonna need to close some of these gaps off so i’m gonna grab some spruce stairs once again i should still have some lying around from the build yep there we go and what i can do with these is Potentially just turn these into corner stairs like that allowing us to kind of cut that off that doesn’t look super neat though so maybe this one here we should turn it into a full spruce plank like that it’s not going to look perfect from the outside but we’re not really Going to look at the outside all that much the interior is going to matter a lot more to us as a player the way i’m imagining this little area here is if we take out the shulker boxes and we’ve got an area that could be a kind of like Galley kitchen sort of area that’s right adjacent to the main living area so everyone kind of cooks and sits and eats in the same space uh just kind of casually i suppose if this is gonna be like a holiday home for kind of like skiing and stuff they’re gonna be Spending a lot of time outside it’s not like they need too much in the way of home comforts they just need a nice cozy place to return to and cook their meals at the end of the day and that’s why one of these boxes has a couple of blast Furnaces and cauldrons and stuff like that because i think it’d be nice to have a little stovetop over here maybe with a cooker hood over the top of it and we’re going to build a you know separating wall here to separate it from the rest of the living space the Bedrooms and stuff like that yeah polished and site stairs are kind of perfect for a cooker hood we could have a uh you know wash basin and stuff over here on this side as well maybe fill that with water and if we wanted to put some doors over here this little section Could even be a corner pantry so we could have shelves of ingredients and stuff like that maybe a few things in item frames maybe a chest or a barrel or two and maybe we’ll continue the polished andesite theme for these countertops as well because that’s more Or less as close as we’re going to get to the darkened stone texture that the blast furnace uses and on the end here we can do one of my favorite things which is using a note block as the stand for a kind of bush style plant i’ve used That elsewhere even in the uh medieval kind of fantasy builds that i’ve done but i really like the two of these together and we’re using birch leaves here once again because this is a cold biome and the color of plants and grass is a little bit different here so birch Trees will keep their color i think what i might do for this wall section here is come up at the end here with a column of the dark oak planks but then make a bunch of trapdoors along the back here out of dark oak because those are going To look a little bit more like a kind of kitchen backsplash tile pattern as well as making a quite a nice interior wall for whoever’s on the other side here maybe not floor to ceiling though maybe we’ll just kind of keep this to a couple of layers maybe even just one because i Don’t think it’s really going to work as a wall all the way up it looks a little too repetitive at that point you put in a couple of spruce trap doors though those make quite nice kitchen shelves and we could always add the reverse in Here and use the dark oak ones there as pantry shelves so that we could put items on top of those if we want to while i’m at it with the spruce i should really finish this section of the roof which i guess i didn’t quite fill in the Same way because i was working it around the outside of the fireplace here so we can just add in a few of these spruce stairs to complete the roof inside while we’re up here i’m going to take a couple of stairs out of the ceiling here as Well because i kind of want to have lanterns like sea lanterns dangling on fences we’ll try it with the sea lanterns first but the the regular lanterns the 114 lanterns might actually look pretty good there too i like these lanterns a lot more actually i think the Sea lanterns are a little bit too blocky and bulky for something that’s hanging from the ceiling like this the regular lanterns have a bit more elegance to them and we could always use sea lanterns underneath carpets as underfloor lighting or something like that if we want to make sure that Certain stuff is mob proof because dangling stuff from the ceiling like this looks quite good but unfortunately doesn’t provide a huge amount in the way of block light once we get towards the walls you start to find the block light fading a little bit yeah especially if We take the torches out there you go this corner absolutely needs an extra light here but already this area is starting to come together and one of the things i want to add into this oh wow i’ve got loads of lanterns in there i didn’t realize that i want to add Bookshelves to the sides of the fireplace uh probably floor-to-ceiling bookshelves like that that’s gonna look really nice from the outside it’s gonna look quite modern i think we might even move this cauldron over next to the blast furnaces here and just have a single line of stuff acting as the Kitchen that way we can do the same with the bookshelves on the other side of the fireplace like that i think that looks really good in symmetry that looks quite nice now the next question is do we want to have a mantelpiece of sorts over the fireplace do we want to have something Like this where it’s about yeah about that sort of level maybe we do and i think we could add in a couple of flower pots on top of there and i really wish there were three by three paintings in minecraft unfortunately there aren’t so we won’t have a painting that can fill That entire chimney breast space but a painting would look really good up there maybe some map art or something if we had the time for something that would cover six maps or nine maps that would be pretty good wouldn’t it no i think we’ll probably leave it there as is we Could even put stuff like mob heads on top of there if we wanted to these kind of lodges you might expect to have some sort of like moose antlers or something over the over the fire which isn’t necessarily my cup of tea but you could have i don’t know the dragon head or Something up there if you wanted to that could look pretty crazy and in the flower pots on either side we’ll put a couple of our favorite flowers those are looking nice i like that definitely adds a lot more color to this area especially when you’ve got the bookshelves in well At least this is gonna make sure that whoa hello that woke me up at least this right here this ice road that i’m building is gonna make sure that i never get lost on the way yep i never get lost on the way to the ice plains biome again because i’m just Stitching this on a few blocks away from the tunnel that leads out to the guardian farm and the mushroom island and we’re creating a blue ice road over here that we can ride a boat down we’ll add buttons to the tops of these of course to make sure that stuff doesn’t Spawn in here and i should probably have been covering over the tunnel before i even laid this out but what this is gonna mean is that we can get over to the ice biome nice and easily to work on more stuff over at the ski village Whenever we want to and just to give you an idea of quite how far away this ski village site is this goes through two nether fortresses this is the first one and the other one is a little bit further down the line and around the corner so even in the Nether this is going to be quite a distance to travel and having a faster way to travel it is going to be an enormous convenience now if only i could make it gas proof that would be so much the better back at our little ski chalet or maybe i Know ski lodge maybe that’s what we’re going to call this place i’m not quite sure at this point but anyway i figure we can make a couple of pretty neat additions around here starting off with some tripwire hooks which are going to serve as coat hooks by both of the doors We can have some at the front some at the back we can probably put them yeah a little bit higher on the wall we’ll put them up here for example and that can be some coats that some uh folks who have been out on the slopes could hang up Their uh their their wet gear and anything that’s gonna get covered in snow probably wants to get left by the door over here we could do the same and we could have a little kind of closed off um yeah like little wardrobe type of thing or just like a closet i suppose Maybe throw some acacia doors in front of this one like so and uh yeah those are both gonna be facing the same way let’s uh turn that one around there we go nice uh little wardrobe that you could even see through into if you wanted to Wait wait wait i can go one better than that where did i leave yes the end rods okay let’s put these in here and then we can take out the torch and these two tripwire hooks have those hanging up like that bam that’s a coat rail Brilliant okay i think we can we can probably go with that and then maybe we’ll put the coat hook over here just kind of next to that so that maybe some stuff that didn’t want to get put in the cupboard right away can be hung up to dry while we’re thinking about lighting How about we move the torch out of this corner but instead replace it with a nice comfortable reading chair we could uh make some of that out of nether brick perhaps and we’ll put that there we’ll put a desk of sorts maybe even like a scaffolding table here just something Nice and simple and then we could put an end rod on top of that if i still have a couple in here of course i do can put one there and then maybe on top of that just a carpet like so so it looks a little bit like a lamp with a colorful Hood over the top of it and you can imagine that the people who want to sit over here are the folks who want a little bit of peace and quiet and they just want to read a book but they don’t want to be right here in front of the Fire speaking of being in front of the fire i was thinking about putting some beds in here and making them into kind of like a shades type of thing so let’s put the maybe a dark oak trap door on the back there and there and maybe if we Move this shulker box we can have the head of it like so i like that actually that’s actually really nice and then you can just have a kind of comfortable thing that looks like it’s bordered on two sides that people could recline up on if they are uh yeah keen to sit by The fire and get warm maybe we can do something similar one block back from here make a kind of corner couch type of thing it’s gonna look a little bit rudimentary for now but i didn’t bring a huge amount of the other stuff with me that i would normally make this stuff Out of like red nether brick would be a really good material for this kind of thing but no i think that’s that’s probably going to be okay i think if we put the bed round that way so it looks like this section is at least like a White stripe in the couch instead of it being just it looks too much like pillows anyway but we we can go with that that’s not too bad i wonder if maybe we could put something like an anvil on there can we put like a couple of those We put a couple of those up there like that is that gonna look too weird i don’t know i think that kind of looks okay not quite sure what it would be i’m imagining it more as like a chimney breast detail than just like three anvils stacked on top of each other Gotta use your imagination a little bit here i guess clearing the shulker boxes out of here i think i will want a sort of hallway rug coming out from the door so we’ve got a bit of red wool i can make a little more into carpet and Somewhere in here i had some gray wool as well and maybe that’s in one of the shulker boxes i just moved around the corner i don’t know why but whenever it comes to like modern looking rugs i always seem to default to this design it just always seems to be like gray and Red but i know i think that the two colors go together pretty well and underneath here we can we can eliminate some of the torches from the wall by placing down some sea lanterns underneath the carpet which is going to allow it to illuminate from below without worrying about it uh having the Really obvious sea lantern texture there we go that’s looking good it’s all pretty well lit up at that point we can take all of the torches off the wall perfect really really good some of these other bits of wool we could also turn into paintings it’d be nice to have a Couple of paintings up here on the wall uh probably not the donkey kong one though there we go a little selection of art on the wall up there i think that’s gonna look quite nice uh it’s just something to have on the wall there that isn’t gonna stick out too far and ruin The perspective of the hallway i feel like they’d have like landscapes of the local area maybe a couple of other tourist destinations in the vicinity something like that getting the shulker boxes out of the way once again because i think we’re more or less done with This room i just want to add a barrel or two here and there in fact let’s add this barrel facing upright on top of that we’ll add a flower pot on there and maybe we’ll put a nice fern in that flower pot lovely that’s a nice little Rustic detail there one of the things i would like to try and in fact i kind of want to try that on all of the pillars here is to have a kind of bracing section of spruce trap doors all the way around the middle here i’m going to take This as the middle even though it’s probably not the middle of the trunk all things considered and yeah just to have that wrap around the outside here to look like a little bit of ornamentation and a little bit of a supportive structure now if we add that to this one As well obviously we’re only going to be able to do it on this side here and around the front because this glass window is going to get in the way otherwise but around the front there like that just kind of wrapping around and yeah it does kind of feel like it’s Been strengthened somehow just kind of reinforced with like a band that’s holding it there i think that’s looking pretty nice we’ll do the same on this back one as well all in all i think this little living room is looking very very cozy now we’ve got the uh carpet here Leading into the hallway we can walk up here and we need to get started on the bedrooms and i guess we’ll probably have a bathroom here i’ve been calling this a bathroom for a little while so i think we might as well have some sort of facility here right now it’s mostly Shulker box storage but i think this bathroom section should perhaps have a nice solid wall here and maybe we can uh maybe this will open out into the sky here a little bit but we could put down a column of spruce wood there to act sort of like a beam i guess because Having some kind of cross beams would be a good idea and that’s also going to help support the mezzanine floor that’s going to lead out to the balcony there so we’ll do the same on this side just for the sake of symmetry etc and maybe we can mirror that spruce log on the Opposite side here as well instead of having this concrete pillar here we’ll have the spruce logs coming down the side like so what do we think of that yeah that’s actually quite nice it kind of tempers the uh how bold the concrete is at that point and gives it a little Bit more of a rustic interior kind of feel supporting beams would be quite common in this kind of style of house anyway because you’ve got to have something to brace the a-frame style access to that mezzanine floor up there is going to be a little difficult but What if we have a set of stairs coming off this side here we might actually have to move those trap doors but no i think we might be able to squeeze past them here actually if we have a set of stairs coming up here because that way Maybe if this uh ski lodge area is being shared by a couple of different folks they could have like their own entrances they could have a front entrance the kind of communal area down there and then the person who enters through the back could always just head straight up To the bedroom they’re staying in and the folks who are staying in the downstairs bedroom can use the front door and this just makes it a little bit more accessible to both parties i guess so yeah not too bad i guess we can we can go with that we can have the stairs Kind of wind up to the top of this like so and then they can come in through a doorway here i guess at this point it isn’t really a mezzanine floor though because the mezzanine floor is more open and i expect this will probably end up Being a little more closed off but uh yeah having a doorway at this height probably not such a bad idea we can add in some dark oak planks like that we’ll put a doorway here and then perhaps then we can have this all kind of come around With the the concrete surround again we can fill in the gap at the end here with some inverted stairs so that will actually connect to the stairs we’ve got on the underside of the roof there and yeah that’s actually quite nice i like that it gets a little cozy as you get up Here as well and maybe we could even knock those two out and do what we’ve done downstairs by the door and have like a little closet in the hallway here where people can hang their coats up the door opens like this it’s not the most practical thing in the world but once Again it’s just an excuse to hide some end rods up there so we can have some lighting and prevent mobs from spawning up here maybe a couple of little shelves or a shoe rack or something in the form of some scaffolding how about that’s a Detail we can put down here as well yeah that’s good it’s actually really good i like that now i would really love to have some oak wood for the ceiling of this room and the floor of the room above but i didn’t bring any with me unfortunately so i’m gonna go out in Search of some oak wood should probably find a forest biome adjacent to this snow plane somewhere so back in a second i guess yep luckily for me there’s a forest biome just to the north of here so i’ve got even got a couple of oak saplings That i can replant if we need them let’s add a little bit of oak wood uh planks across the top here or maybe we can set that up as stairs and have a kind of slight arch to the ceiling yeah that’s that’s really quite nice actually i like Having this kind of arch shape to the ceiling really not that difficult to do with the uh oak stairs like this i’m not sure quite what that means for this space in fact we might end up having to just block this space off entirely somehow and uh yeah pretend it doesn’t Exist behind these trap doors up here of course we are just going to fill the slab spaces in so that they are full blocks like that and yeah we need to figure out a way of getting out onto this balcony i guess the balcony might be a slightly more private thing for Whoever’s staying in this room then or perhaps what we could do oh no it’s not really going to work i was thinking we could have a sort of landing out here that maybe they could access the balcony from this staircase but doesn’t look like that’s really going to happen with The space that we’ve got okay never mind so this is where the option for it to feel like a mezzanine floor kind of creeps back in because what we could have is a lip here with some stairs and maybe some trapdoors some like oak trap doors or something along the top here And that would still allow people to look down from this balcony section down into the living space while still affording them a sense of privacy for being up here in the first place and that does require me to go and get some more oak but i think we will probably be Able to do that in the meantime let’s seal off the rest of this so that it can go out into the balcony area here and yeah we can step out onto this roof space that we have out here and i wanted to trim this in dark oak once again so That we have a kind of dark oak uh veranda type of thing out here and for some reason there is a zombie standing on the roof so you can dispatch him he looks like he’s ready for a day on the slopes though there we go this is what i Mean so you’ve kind of got a balcony of sorts that people could see out over if they wanted to look down into the room from here but still step back from that it does afford you a certain amount of privacy kind of like a screen i guess And yeah i like that i like that detail that’s cool now let’s get some bedroom furniture up here i think we need at the very least a bed or two a nightstand a bookshelf something like that and a few light touches later i’m really happy With the layout of this room we’ve got a kind of dividing screen here made out of oak trap doors for this little bedroom area and because this was five blocks wide and we had a double bed here i just brought the wall in a bit by adding a Bookshelf floor to ceiling over here well not quite floor to ceiling there’s a little bit of space up there but we’ve got some shelves over here on the side just some slabs and a few kind of touches like the uh the barrel like we had downstairs where they Potted kind of bonsai there and uh a lantern by the bedside both to provide some light so we don’t need to put a torch up here and also to make it look like a night light on a nightstand kind of thing like a lamp that they could Switch on and off from the bed over here on this side of the room we’ve got a simple table that they can eat a private meal at a little bit more lighting and lighting to go to the outside balcony which once i’ve been to sleep i’m Actually going to start working on now i wanted to slab this entire kind of outside space but unfortunately it looks like if i have a slab here i’m not going to be able to get through the door because of the stair block being in the Way and so i may as well just move that one out of the way and then around the outside i think what we’ll do is have um stairs instead of these slabs around the outside here and around the top here we could add some fences or alternatively i Think what we might do is add some glass panes around the outside there to make a nice modern looking glass barrier and what we could actually do is bring the corner in like so so that we can have these glass panes connect to it just next to the door frame and that also Prevents you from walking up on the slope of the roof to prevent people from potentially falling off and injuring themselves if we’re considering this a slightly more realistic build anyway that feels quite realistic to have and the cool thing about the glass panes is we can even put lanterns on top of them So i could add one to the corner there as well maybe one here and one here to make sure this balcony area is evenly lit and also probably provide a little bit of light to the roof to make sure mobs don’t spawn up there and surprise Me but that now looks pretty nice from the outside i feel like having the balcony kind of roof section on top there prevents this from looking like a giant slab of white concrete which is a good thing i think at this point because it was looking a little bit Overwhelming peeking out from the build there having a uh a dark oak hat on it certainly suits it so for this downstairs bedroom i am going to fill the ceiling in there a little bit at this row of stairs and then we could create a kind of outside wall here if we Wanted to and i think that might be a good idea maybe we can create a kind of contemporary log cabin feel by framing the door out with these large kind of spruce posts i think that wouldn’t look too bad and we won’t over complicate things we’ll just fill in on either side With this oak wood and if i can grab a few more oak slabs i can probably fill in those gaps there as well let’s even take the corners out here and bring some spruce logs down inside here as well that could create a little bit of depth to the space and I actually really like this in here i think this feels very cozy we could add another couple of beds on either side to make this a super wide bed or we could just keep it like a double bed kind of thing here but of course i’ve come with A an odd numbered wall size here again so we should probably make it like an odd number bed maybe i’ll just keep the one in here for now gonna be honest that’s mostly because i didn’t bring any more blue wool with me and i don’t really feel like going out looking for It right now so i think what we’ll do is for this outside section here there’s a section where the uh the roof line kind of pokes out from the side and i did initially floor this off but i think what i might actually end up doing is Just blocking this off with more white concrete and filling in the wall there take out those two blocks of the roof and yeah that just feels a lot less complicated to me we can probably fill in that gap of dirt on the other side if we want to but overall that feels a Little bit nicer maybe we’ll have some bookshelves up here on either side of the central bed and i once again i would love to have a uh three block wide painting in here but unfortunately minecraft does not have those so let’s make a couple of little like Bedside table type of things here i’ve been adding trap doors to the ends of beds to make it feel like they have a bit of a headboard so that’s a nice little detail we can add and we could add a couple of plant pots or a uh a Lantern on one of these as well to make sure that we can take some of the torches out of the room i tell you what i would absolutely love to have on this side as well is some sort of like walk-in wardrobe type of thing so basically the entire thing can be Wall-to-wall wardrobe doors and i think acacia doors are perfect for that i’ve just made far too many of them but yeah if we just add doors all the way along there and then we can have these sections of doors which open potentially on the right side of the blocks there we Go we can have like sets of doors that open outwards like this if we fill in the top row of this with spruce trap doors there we go we’ve got this nice little wardrobe that you can see into and we can even put some armor stands in There wearing leather armor to make it feel a little bit more like there is clothing on racks inside of here but you know what we could always do what we’ve done in the hallway closet and add some end rods for now to provide a little bit Of lighting i think on this side of the room where it’s kind of adjacent to the kitchen i want a pretty solid looking desk and i’m wondering if maybe just some spruce stairs like this might fit the bill uh that’s not looking too bad We need a fourth one to go on the corner there and we could put another lantern here or maybe another one of our uh end rod lamps on the side with a carpet on top something like that now we can have some papers and stuff strewn on the desk Just uh as though somebody’s using this for work as a kind of mountain retreat another rug on the floor over on this side we could even put some of the grey wool underneath the bed if we wanted to so that we could make it look like the Rug continues under the bed and the bed is just resting on one corner of it uh like so and then we’ll put the bed back there yeah okay that looks quite nice and since we’ve got enough iron for a minecart we could turn this into an actual functional chair that the player Can sit in gosh i’ve got so much stuff in my inventory right now this is a little bit of a nightmare but bear with me uh if we end up with a rail on here let’s say we’ll grab a regular old rail you just place a rail there and uh maybe Actually straighten it out so it’s that way and we’ll put the minecart on top of that we’ll put the uh get rid of the rail there and on the sides here we can probably add like the arm of a chair like so so that the minecart doesn’t Roll around too much and we can add a back to the chair if we have some appropriate kind of wood let’s use dark oak for this one why not we can have a back to the chair like so and then it’s actually a chair that we can sit in a Kind of high-backed chair as though you’re sat here at a desk working on some stuff if you wanted to you could also roll the minecart onto a trapdoor or a daylight sensor or something so that the minecart feels a little bit higher at the desk and it feels like You’re not just kind of like dwarfed by the block in front of you but yeah i think that’s kind of a neat little design and nice to have a writing desk with an actual usable chair there as well for the sake of ornamentation we’ll add another red carpet on top of there To make it look like a proper lamp and you know what we’ll add another uh flower pot to the desk as well we can have a blue orchid in a pot there and aside from taking the shulker boxes out of the room i think that’s more or less Done i’ve tried to do a little bit of stuff with the end rods elsewhere but i don’t know they just don’t quite suit the kind of stuff that i’m going for so i’m going to put those away and in order to light the hallway a little bit we’re Just going to dangle a single lantern from a fence up here in the ceiling which is going to evenly light this area pretty nicely and should hopefully be the last little touch we need to put to this interior you know what yeah i think that’s it’s dangling a little low so i Might move that one block further back towards the wall where it’ll connect with the fence post like that and then we can just have a lantern kind of dangling against it yeah now that’s a lot a lot more discreet i think it’s kind of nice having it there we’ll put a Dark oak door on the bathroom i’m not really going to do anything with the bathroom right now because i don’t really have the supplies for it but another dark oak door here for this room as well and that’s looking really really nice i think the interior of this place might be done It’s it’s a long project and all of this little detailed stuff is so kind of time consuming but it’s also really really worth it when we get to step back and take a look at this place and i think it looks fantastic aside from the fact that there’s still iron on The floor here and there let’s take another quick look around before we head off for today we’ve got this lovely living room with a couple of beds here using those as kind of couch style furniture we’ve got a little kitchen over here with a doorway to a ladder or Pantry type of thing where we could store some some dry goods and that kind of stuff some stuff to cook with up here on the left we have the shulker box storage bathroom we have a nice sort of main downstairs bedroom here and then up around the corner we have a couple of Cupboards for uh people to store their clothes upstairs we have a kind of i think of this i guess a master bedroom kind of thing with lovely windows looking out onto the view we’ve got a balcony overlooking the living area there and of course the main balcony That we can come out onto this terrace veranda whatever you want to call it this uh this this section out here where we can take the night air and uh enjoy a nice warming brandy after a night out on the slopes maybe we’ll see but thank you Guys so much for watching this episode of the minecraft
