2b2 T A Realm where time folds into chaos each block holds stories of survival forging passion in the fires of an anarchic Legacy embark on a journey through the pixels where hope and Nostalgia dance carving a legend in the tapestry of Minecraft’s Untamed history In the waning days of December of 2010 A Team Fortress 2 player angry that his friend had been banned from the to for to Furious server decided to create a game where rules were not something you could break if there wasn’t any along with his friend George they would birth One of the most famous servers in the history of Minecraft two Builders two tools named for the server he’d enjoyed playing so much on Team Fortress 2 this person of course was housem the brain behind 2B 2T nothing is really known about his personal life he managed to Keep his identity hidden over the years and although many players have tried to discover his real life Persona the only thing they would manage to glean is his Scandinavian Roots shortly after house would find himself becoming the de facto owner due to George’s sporadic presence largely influenced by internet connectivity Issues during the initial years house would occasionally join the server delighting players with random item gifts through spontaneous teleportation however his primary engagement with the community involved mostly updates and Bug fixes as time would pass his appearances would dwindle and he would eventually change his Minecraft account name before Finally deleting the account alog together during this video I wanted to take a look at the history of housemaster the person or more likely people behind the username and how they enforced the the unenforceable on 2B 2T housem would face his first major obstacle in the form of a back door in December of 2011 orchestrated by none other than the notorious pop Bob allegedly the serba admin was consistently dealing with players becoming stuck on the nether roof and to fix this issue pop Bob would offer them A plugin that the admin would proceed to implement the plug-in however had some lines of hidden code that would allow her and other players she was close to like police mic 55 xcc2 and pao5 access to operator like permissions these players would use their powers to build At multiple bases the first of which was plugin town a base roughly 990,000 blocks from spawn the second one was a spawn Base called Ziggy base where the Bedrock Dam Bedrock Comet and Bedrock bunker were built the back door was also used to create hacked in illegal items Including Pig forers spawn eggs locked chests water source blocks fire blocks and end portal frames pop Bob likely also used the back door to build end portals in different locations on the server however she and police Mike 55 I’ve tried to create an End Portal below The NF base and failed since they didn’t place the end portal frames correctly once these were discovered they were removed on top of this pop Bob would use the back door to teleport to other bases and Destroy them and once the admins were suspicious of Pop Bob she was Eventually caught by them after they worked with other players to bait pop Bob to a base this fake base resulted in pop Bob teleporting and arriving right in front of the admins confirming their suspicions the plug-in was promptly Removed over the years house would exhibit commendable stewardship maintaining the server’s massive 3,500 GB memory he would ensure its Survival by updating Minecraft versions preventing the deletion of the original map and covering the monthly $90 rent from his own funds or Community donations with failure to pay more than Likely leading to the server permanent shutdown this is a moment that we shouldn’t Overlook while server downtimes would occur for various reasons the most prolonged was the 3mon great server Decay period the great server Decay or simply the great Decay was a time in 2B 2ts history Where the player base would stagnate it lasted from 2012 to 2013 and during it the peak amount of players online was averaging around 40 the period was mostly fueled by 2b2 T’s domain change from 2b2 t.net to 2b2t.org coupled with 3 months of downtime during the change this would make many players believe That 2b2 t was gone for good and this period is also considered one of the most widely agreed periods on the 2b2 timeline with many others mostly up for debate on the original timeline it was denoted by a skull with not many active groups at the time to try to combat These issues housem would hire helpers and admins to try to lure the player base back while while also executing temporary Maps four times each serving a different distinct purpose such as resolving lag adapting to updates and testing new plugins housem would begin to Institute rules against gamebreaking tools patching various dupes glitches back Doors and hack based exploits although initially he had wanted a server with no rules at all but it would very quickly become obvious that this wasn’t really possible possible due to Minecraft’s relatively low security at the time he would use tools such as MC edit and world edit much to the players’s Annoyance to eliminate lag machines and unauthorized Bedrock placement Frost Walker elytra glitches and slill exploits were also subject to his patches creating an environment where rules were sparse but the server could run and players could play The occurrence known as the second back door would then unfold in December of 2013 marking how house Master’s second Big Challenge it was orchestrated by players I Tristan and pyy and its conclusion remains unknown raising questions about its distinct separation from the subsequent third backd door according to I Tristan one of the Perpetrators the service administrator would seek assistance from coders in the community due to ongoing issues and in 2013 I Tristan would establish contact with the admin likely through Steam groups collaborating with pyrobyte they developed a plug-in in December of 2013 ostensibly to address nether roof access and item renaming problems however the plugin Surreptitiously granted players the ability to transform items into negative or infinite items by appending this/ 0xa7 to the item name the plugin also allowed them to circumvent the nether roof blockade while riding an entity meaning long-distance travel was now possible an auto updator in the plugin would Empower them to modify it discreetly Providing capabilities like spawning items teleportation and game mode changes some of the illegally spawned in items would include player heads gas spawn eggs and stacked 32k weapons gear and armor pyrobyte would even craft a unique 666 sword with a sharpness level of 666 which was selectively distributed to Play players like Sato 86 and Jack the Ripper the back door was also exploited to spawn items with unusual item IDs leading to the emergence of items like barrier blocks introduced in January 2015 with Java Edition 1.8 odd items such as Alpha snowballs and textureless iron horse armor may have originated From this back door although it is unknown additionally it allegedly resulted in the creation of a rare tattered book purportedly used by Trist in a pyrites for acquiring Bedrock or changing game modes other items obtained during this back door such as infinite TNT and Bedrock were employed to support members Of the third incursion in May of 2015 notably the G spawn eggs were used to transform existing spawners into ghast spawners witnessed at space valkiria in mid 2015 where Jack the Ripper would utilize a spawn egg given to him by pyrobyte on on December the 7th both Players would utilize the back door to reach different world borders leaving behind bedrock and signs at the plus X Eastern and minus X Western borders in January of 2015 with Java Edition 1.8 the world border would undergo changes surrounding the entire world with a massive striped translucent wall the Signs left by iist and a parab btes were discovered to be behind the wall on March the 26th 2017 by the nether Highway group subsequently in January of 2020 player true game would destroy these signs using a Wither pyob byes would also take advantage of the access to inundate Spawn with numerous Withers declaring himself the king of 2b2 through their names the server would endure three backdoor infiltrations over its 13-year history with the third executed by The Tyranny resulting in widespread destruction the tyranny’s hack of George Bush 420s account would Mark a dark period contributing to the prevalence of Overpowered items on 2B 2T the introduction of a q system became a flash point during the Russia era when a surge of new players would flood 2b2 the camping Russia a popular Canadian YouTuber proposed the queue system leading to the introduction of a veteran queue which later would evolve into a priority queue house Master’s Decision to enlist Russia in the management of the que system would fuel annoyance within the community as players grappled with the evolving dynamics of access and player hierarchy initially players who had joined the server at any point before June 2016 the date of Russia’s arrival would be given Access to the queue but this is now not the case with any players able to join the queue with a $20 monthly subscription this has been a topic of much debate over the years due to the Q system reportedly being botted in order to create longer wait times pushing People to consider paying for priority Q access the way the queue works is often mistaken with players believing that priority Q members are given access to the server first with normal Q members having to wait but this doesn’t seem to be the case there would appear to be a Split in the player allocation with a percentage of the given maximum capacity being purely for priority Q members with non-members only being able to join when another non-member disconnects this means that no matter how many people are in the priority que non-paying players would still be able To join as would priority Q players the other way around there has also been controversies over the administration with the queue being hosted on the Aron a server owned by the camping Russia and a member of his staff Curtis being the one in charge of the Q system most players believe that Curtis Now owns the entire 2b2 server admin account with fuel being added to the fire when Curtis was discovered to be the admin for the 2b2 subreddit he was however moved from that position after some unsavory Behavior but players still believe he is the owner of the server Having been given access by Russia who had likely bought the server in 2016 the camping Russia no longer makes 2b2 T content nor Minecraft as a whole having transitioned to playing fortnite on his channel so having a staff member on his own server be in charge of 2b2 T Would make the most sense whoever owned the server behind the scenes would continue to use the housem account on both the the website posting updates and in game they would continue managing the server post Russia War addressing glitches like the 1111 and Donkey jeeps in 2017 an attempt to enable elytras With AAC as the antiche would cause issues but house would eventually reimplement AAC with improved functionality server improvements including plugins would Mark to btt’s progression and are one of the main reasons the server is still playable to this day the most recent incident and one of the more obvious clues that the original Housem is no longer in charge was the 1.19 incident also known as the strike which unfolded across the server from August the 14th to August the 27th 2023 during the transition from version 1.12 to 1.19 housem implementing the update introduced unforeseen alterations including a soft economy reset this reset would wipe specific Items like golden apples and end crystals from not only players inventories but stashes Additionally the update would include chunk calling removing certain old chunks loaded in previous Minecraft versions to generate a new 1.19 terrain the player community would react strongly to these changes expressing widespread discontent in response the 2b2 T Union would emerge aiming to to compel house Master to revert the alterations the primary protest method involved encouraging players and union members to mass refund priority Q subscriptions causing a significant financial impact on the server after weeks of financial strain housem would yield to the pressure and decided to Roll the server back to version 1.12 planning to update again to 1.19 this time without including the contentious changes this roll back would result in the loss of 2 weeks worth of server progress however causing further dissatisfaction among a minority of new players just before the roll back on August the 27th Housem would issue a lengthy apology outlining the initial reasons for the changes and assuring the player base that such alterations would never happen again this would Mark a Triumph for the 2b2 T Union achieving its main objectives Now this is the part where I usually like to give my own opinion on these topics but as I don’t play the server and haven’t in a long time I don’t feel like I really deserve an an opinion I am of the mindset that being offended on Someone else’s behalf is kind of a strange thing to do and in this case the players of 2b2 T are the ones who should be given a voice here after all they are the ones that have put hours days and weeks into the server they are the ones That have created the Legends myths and stories and they are the ones who brought the server into the Limelight and made it into the incredible place it is today I have made maybe six or seven videos on different topics people and events on 2b2 and there is no other Server I can think of with such a rich history yes housem created the server and was a good admin by all accounts for the first four to 5 years but the lack of respect shown to the players during the rush accused situation was objectively wrong and I don’t need to be A player to see that the housem account was finally deleted in 2021 but even before that I’m pretty convinced that the man who made the account and the server was already long gone it has been well documented that he refused offers for the server multiple times so to have Given up his creation would have either been for a larger amount of money or maybe by some more nefarious means but the house that governed tb2t during its conception and formative years will all most definitely be remembered fondly by a lot of players time will tell if to be 2T will ever return to its former glory but for now the players and Legacy are in limbo and as the old adage goes you don’t know what you have until you lose It I just want to thank every everyone who has watched and subscribed to the channel already when I started uploading videos a few months ago I didn’t think I would get any subscribers let alone over 300 already uh thank you as well to everyone who’s commented it always gives
