Monumental Drain | Minecraft Create Mod Survival | Hose Pulley Monument Draining and Witch Farm Tour

Hey guys welcome back to another episode from my minecraft create mod survival world right now i’m high above the witch farm on the afk platform getting ready to take you guys for a quick tour of it i’m up here resting after a long week of working over at the ocean monument

It took some time to figure out how to use that hose pulley there were a few things about it that i didn’t know as well as some quirky behavior but before i show you that let’s go take a look at the witch farm i put in fence gates here

So that i can just leave that wall open while i’m away and just fly back in with the elytra down here you can see the farm and all three windmills that i had to use the power of this thing a wool is cheap so why not

All right well in here is the storage room for the farm everything gets collected and sorted here glass bottles the glowstone gunpowder redstone spider eyes sugar and sticks over here is the main power switch that turns off the encased fans that blow the witches across the platform

As well as the mechanical drills that kill the witches and the sorting system back here which is the same setup that’s used in my main storage room with a mechanical arm and the belt moving the items across it’s going to be really kind of hard to see

This is the elevator that brings the items up i’ll tell you what let’s hop into spectator mode and then i can give you a proper tour i don’t do this typically but like i said to make things a lot easier to see so here you can see the row of case

Here you can see the row of encased fans that pushes the witches across the platform and then they drop down and there are three separate spawning platforms looks like i’m getting some light bleeding in here i’ll have to look into that but they get pushed down here

And then these fans blow them into the mechanical drills and the items fall down below through this chute onto this belt then they are blown upwards by the encased fan and they land on this belt which carries them into the storage unit okay and over there is the nether portal that i use

You may be wondering well why is it way over here this is actually where i set up my rv that i was living out of while i built this it was kind of set right over here so i built myself a little porch and just decided to leave the portal here

Okay well i’m going to make my way back over to the base i have some cleaning up to do and a lot of things to put away while i’m doing that i’m going to go ahead and show you the process of using the hose pulley to drain the monument

And i’ll see you back over there when i’m done here we are back in the storage room this is a perfect opportunity to show you guys the crafting blueprint i’ve got the hose pulley already set up to go in here so you have to do is hover over it and

It’s going to show you all the items you need so we need a copper casing we need a shaft we need a dried kelp fluid pipe and copper sheet kelp a fluid pipe and a copper sheet now we can come back to our crafting blueprint hover over it again and then just right

Click and we have our hose pulley so i will see you back over at the ocean monument okay as you can see i’ve already got a glass wall put in the elder guardians have also been taken care of unfortunately that footage got corrupted so now i’m just looking for a spot to

Put this hose pulley we want a deep spot looks like there’s a low spot right there so we’ll go for that just going to put that one as a placeholder we want our hose pulley to be over the water obviously now we’re going to flip that around

We want our outlet pipe pointing outside the wall so that the water leaves of course and i’m gonna put a mechanical pump there and let’s see i think i’m gonna put a another pipe on there for now and that probably won’t be necessary as you’ll see later something else will

Need to be there all right and we’re going to bring in our drive to the pump i’m going to use a water wheel to power this one i’m going to put a rotational controller and then just run the water wheel right into the large cog and i’m going to put

Right there on top of the rotational speed controller and get these it oh uh always fun dealing with guardians okay let me uh let me put a wall up here real quick so we can work in peace okay that’s a little better now we’re going to frame this in now i want the

Water to be pushing the fins across the top from right to left and then down the left side and back across the bottom you can see how the fins are angled so we will get the most power out of that water wheel with it rotating counterclockwise so let me get this built up All right now our pump got facing the wrong direction there so let’s flip that back around and more guardians maybe i should put a wall up on this side too yeah i think we’ll do that so i’ve got good enough armor it’s just like i said they’re just the pain

Keep knocking me off the wall so let’s see we’re going to crank this up can we go to 256 no we need more water wheels so we’ll leave it at 192 for now and let’s see let me get this block out of the way so we can get to this handle

And see the actual pulley underneath or the hose underneath at the pulley i should say so if you hold that down it’ll keep moving but we want it to stop on the top lever so if you just press it once it’ll just go one layer at a time so as

You can see that’s going to be draining our top layer of water and it’s gonna start actually from the opposite corner but we need to remove that source block coming out before more water will pump out so i’m gonna go grab a few other things and i’ll be right back all right

We’re going to be here a while so we’re going to use the rv i’ve gone ahead and got things running here i’ve got an adjustable pulse repeater clock set up each one set to 10 ticks and that’s sending a signal through this block to the piston

Taking up our water source i started the clock using the lever here just gave it a quick flick for a quick pulse and that’s basically allowing it to one tick and drop the block there momentarily a number of ways you could do that but that seems to work i also put a fourth

Water wheel up so now we’re running at a full 256 rpm so i’m gonna let this top layer drain and once we see that’s working properly we’re going to start on the next section you can see i’ve also started sectioning this off just so we can drain a bit quicker

So we’ll keep an eye on this and be right back All right well i’ve gone ahead and set up another pump here on this wider side just to see if it would do this entire half and it seems to be working i’m using a furnace flywheel on this one i just have it burning wood i’ve got so

Much wood that i can just afford to burn it in the charcoal now i got a feeling it is going to take a while to do each layer of this side just because it is so big so we’ll probably split it up later and then this side’s going real well it’s

Several layers down now about to drop it down one more as it’s just finished another level you can see we’ve got the top of the monument exposed over there and it’s starting to pump out that next level so it’s going good it’s it’s a slow process i don’t know that it’s much

Quicker than sponges but obviously it’s a lot less uh putting up of sand walls especially on this side but we’ll see how long that that takes like i said i may section that off a little bit more just to speed things up i’m just going to head back up in the rv

For a bit and let it keep draining now quite some time has passed i’ve started running a shaft over to the other side so we can get another hose pulley set up and start draining the southwest corner so let’s get busy As you saw i had to move this hose and pulley around a few times to get this thing to work this seems to be the sweet spot though looks like it’s working good i had to put it one two three four five six seven blocks away from the edge

And that seems to work let’s go take a look at the other corner well everything’s running smoothly on this corner in fact i’m ready to drop that hose down and start that next layer and i notice on the way over here that the big side here on the north is ready to

Drop down as well we finished another layer on this one we’ll go take a look at the southwest corner see how it’s doing i need to get in there and close up the front doors on that monument as well oh that didn’t look good i’m getting

Shot at let me get out of here out of here not into there okay yeah i’m not sure what to do here the range is set to 512 which should be more than enough i don’t want to mess with it anymore because i don’t want to break that north side but

Let’s just reset it and then i’m going to head inside and close off them front doors there we go all right let’s try again no see inside all right here we are i’ve made my way in from the top because coming in from the front outside there are so many guardians out there

And i would not have made it alive i don’t think so we’ll just sneak in from the inside close this off real quick and now we should have no issues when that water level drops down to there we’re draining that out i am going to make my way back up out of

Here and i will see you all topside we’re back on top and i’m still running into some trouble draining this side so i’ve decided to put in another divider to see if that’ll help because i can’t figure out why this won’t work so i’m gonna get this wall built up and

I’ll be right back okay the wall is done i also had to fill in this corner that i’m standing on for some reason the pump will not reach past that spot even though the range still works fine behind me on that other side so i don’t get it so

This is actually day four working on this thing in real life so i’m really trying to speed things along so i just filled in this corner see if we can go ahead and get this draining and so far it seems to be working okay and hopefully it stays that way

Let’s go take a look at the other side and it’s broken again oh man it’s it’s like things interfere if you make a change on one side it breaks the other um hmm and it just filled in all right let’s let’s reset this pump or hose pulley let’s drop it

Or pull it up out of the water and drop it back in okay and that’s back to draining properly over there let’s take a look at this side again and i see a problem well besides that guy he may be the easier problem to deal with here um i’ve got source blocks here

Now okay source blocks dealt with i figured as much all right we just need to reset this pump i’m going to disconnect the drive from it and go over there and pull the hose out of the water and drop it back in let me run over there and take care of that now

Okay everything’s still set where it was let’s drop that back into the water now and i need to go drop the hose over on the southeast section there because it is done and another level over there and ready to be reset let’s reconnect this pump that should get us going back here let’s

Make sure that didn’t break the other side all right looking good that is looking good hopefully it stays that way all right let’s go pull this or drop this hose down another layer here all right i set up a little platform for myself to make this a little bit safer all right and

Down it goes now that this side seems all to be pumping okay i actually want to stay down here and keep an eye on the southwest corner it’s been giving us so many problems i’m at least want to make sure this top level finishes off so i’m going to afk

Here for a little bit hmm all right well that didn’t take long new plan i’m gonna disconnect that southwest corner let this middle section here drain and in the meantime i’m gonna drop inside the monument and start using the sponges to drain it out i’ve managed to get a couple of layers

Cleared out of this monument i’ve got two sponges left so i’m just gonna drop down here uh let’s see where can we put this one about right there all right so i’m gonna collect up these sponges it’s been a while since i’ve checked the hose pulleys and the pumps

So we’re gonna head on up and take a look and see if we can’t get that southwest corner working so i’ve set up another pump here in the southwest corner our other one over there still disconnected uh looks like it’s still not reaching across to this other corner though no so

What we can do is either fill in this corner with sand which is quite deep or try dividing this section in half i think that’s what i’m going to do i’m going to build another wall here and try using these two pumps in opposite corners and hopefully that will work for us

Let me pull this one back up out of the water get this wall built and i’ll be back to let you know how it goes you guys have probably already seen this but i wanted to show you the process i use for making these sand walls real easy set up

Redstone torch on a block facing towards where the sand wall is going to be a redstone dust on top of a block next to that and then a block next to the redstone dust and then next to that block you’re going to place a piston and that’s it

Now you may also want to put a little wall around you just to protect yourself from the guardians now we just need to put a bunch of sand on our hot bar and we’re going to look right at the top of the redstone torch and place the sand and that’s all there

Is to it i’ll see when the wall is done okay that southwest section has been split in half the wall is done i just need to go drop this hose down into the water and we should hopefully be working okay over here now oh yeah that’s pumping already awesome okay

We might be on our way to completion here guys let’s go get this other hose down into the water looking good looking good all right let’s see shift click and come on uh all right yeah there it goes fantastic okay well what i’m gonna do next i think

Is move that rv over here to this side because i want to stay close there’s been so many problems here we’re now on day five day five five days in real life i’ve been here pumping water so hopefully this water will be gone after this time lapse

And we can get to work on the guardian farm let’s go All right here we go this is the end last water it is done we are done we are done we are done look at it look at it it’s beautiful but it’ll look better when we get rid of those sand walls but it’s still beautiful and almost a week

I am so happy right now i cannot wait to get started on this farm look at that there we go we got all that sand out of the way i’m just gonna take this in before we rip it down oh man these things are so massive that was a lot of fun

Let’s take a little look around down here just kind of walk along the edge look how big that is these things are huge yeah it was a lot of fun it’s gonna be even more fun building this farm i got some big plans big plans lots of create
