Y’know, it’s not that I only show off Minecraft glitches now, but when I come across ones like this, I feel compelled to share them. The glitch that I have today works from Alpha 1.2 through Beta 1.7 and possibly even earlier. Under very specific circumstances, If you travel hundreds of thousands, or even millions of blocks away from your spawn point, the chunk that your spawn existed in will reappear this far away. And not only does it look like the exact same chunk, it IS the exact same chunk. Like, internally, if you edit the blocks within this glitched chunk, it will actually modify the spawn chunk itself. And that’s while you’re potentially millions of blocks away. Well, how does this work? Let’s check it out. So, while I did know about this glitch months prior to today, And I almost even tweeted KurtJMac about it, I want to thank Xelanater for bringing this glitch to my attention again. Enough for me to realize that something really strange is going on here. So what exactly is going on here? I am 524,288 blocks away from the spawn point on the x-axis, And I kept my z-axis near zero. 524,288 is exactly 2 to the power 19. That’s where this bug starts. If I travel to double this number, 2 to the power 20, or 1,048,576 blocks away, I see the spawn chunk again. Same for 2 to the power 20, 2 to the power 21 And even 2 to the power 24, which is in the Far Lands. Okay, let’s teleport back a step because I don’t want to lag out, and, uh…wait, what? I am outside of the Far Lands, and the Far Lands came with me. Okay, maybe if I teleport back another step, they’ll be gone. 2 to the power 22, and they’re still here. Alright. Let me log out and log back in just to see what happens. And, okay, the Far Lands are gone, but the ghost spawn chunk is still here. So, alright. Let me explain what’s going on here, At least to the best of my ability. When you load a glitched spawn chunk, any chunks that you’ve loaded that are touching become temporarily glitched. Let me show it in a way that I think might make it easier to understand. So, okay, this one is really hard to follow, But bear with me if you can. If I teleport to 2 to the 19th blocks away, I start the spawn chunk glitch. If I then teleport directly to another glitched spawn chunk, anything that was sort of touching the first loaded glitched spawn chunk will be kind of copied. Alright, so I’m gonna teleport from here, 2 to the power 19, directly to a Far Lands glitched spawn chunk, or 2 to the power 24. Notice how a ton of blocks moved with me and how the Far Lands are not immediately on the outside of this glitched spawn chunk. Alright. Let me teleport back a step. Now you’ll see that the land from the first teleport and the land from the second teleport are still here. Now, you wanna know what’s even crazier? If I mess with these Far Lands blocks while I am outside of the Far Lands, Any blocks that I mess with will get saved in their original location. I’m not even joking. If I mess with these Far Lands blocks, they will get saved in the Far Lands. However, when you log out and log back in, the chunks touching the original glitched spawn chunk will disappear. But remember how I made changes in the Far Lands area before when I wasn’t even in the Far Lands? The changes stuck. But you wanna know what’s even crazier? Not only that this glitch also occurs in the Nether in every way that I just described, But if you go to the Nether from a glitched spawn chunk area, say, 2 to the power 19, and then you go back to the overworld, the glitched spawn chunk is completely gone. There’s normal terrain here. I can place blocks, and they’ll stay put if I reload the area just like this, But if I log out and log back in, the glitched spawn chunk reappears. This is such a mindblow. So, if I repeat the Nether cycle, the glitched spawn chunk disappears again, and those block changes that I mentioned before are still there. This is such a weird bug, And I really recommend that you guys check this out. Get yourselves a copy of single player commands for Beta 1.7, and have a blast. Oh, and while I’m almost done, I’m not quite yet. If I enable the glitched spawn chunk, and then I teleport all the way back to the real spawn point, Those temporarily glitched chunks that were attached to the outside of the glitched spawn chunk will follow me all the way back to the spawn. So, I can actually bring the Far Lands all the way back to the spawn point, mess around with blocks within the Far Lands, And those changes will get saved in the real Far Lands. I don’t even have an explanation for what’s going on here, but that just about does it for now. If you guys enjoyed this video, please leave a like on it. It really does help out myself, the channel, and the video quite a lot. But anyways, guys, I hope you all enjoyed this video. My name is AntVenom, and I bid you all farewell.
