Hey everyone it is mr. crayfish and welcome back it has been a while but I am once again creating your mod ideas in Minecraft and I can’t believe we are up to episode 4 already and to make this video special I decided to take four of

Your mud ideas and turn them into mods now it was about over a month ago I asked you guys if you could have a very simple model created for Minecraft what would it be and of course you guys left so many amazing suggestions I wish I could

Ideas but let’s not delay this video any longer let’s start creating your mod ideas so the first mod idea we are creating today it comes from a user could not a and they suggested to add in a goblin trader which unlike a wandering trader this goblin would be found

Underground and would sell you special and rare items that could only be purchased from the goblin on that note though let’s start heating this mod so in the first stage to creating this mod was to simply add in a new mob into the game this being the goblin but I wasn’t

Gonna add a model right now I just wanted to get something working because I’m now programming in 1.15 and the process to creating an entity is a little bit different and this is how the first test went there it is we made a circle that we can push our hand man

What am i doing in my life alright so the next stage I wanted to work on was to add in the trading system now minecraft actually makes it really easy to add new types of merchants it made sense to use the same system that wandering traders and villagers use

Because I’m trying to make a mod here that fits into the vanilla feel of the game now so we have something to look at I see I set the model of the Goblin to a regular player model until we actually create a proper goblin model having that

Said now when we right-click on our mob we now open up the merchants window and as you can see we just have a basic trade so far I am going to be removing that experience bar because I want this to be like the wandering trader it can’t

Really be leveled up but that was easily fixed by changing a couple of lines in the code and now the trading system was complete and ready to be populated but before I did that I wanted to implement the model now I knew I wasn’t going to be able to create a good model

Especially creating textures that’s one of my weakest points when it comes to mod development so instead I decided to contact one of the best minecraft artists I know Vinnie on Twitter decided to pull three and he was able to create this amazing goblin model for this mud

The cutest goblin you guys have ever seen and this little guy is gonna be wandering around in caves trading new mystical items he’s even got a little backpack he’s carrying all these items in that is so cool I think he’s missing his hood but I’ll fix her up in a second

Here he’s got a big gigantic nose just like a villager and this is why I got Vinnie to create these models because he is just amazing at making these models fit into Minecraft and keep the vanilla feel whereas you know if I was to do

This it would we don’t want to know what it would have looked like so we’ve added the Goblin with an amazing model and trading system however this little guy doesn’t really do anything right now he just kind of stands there staring in one direction and it’s kind of creepy so we

Need to make this guy actually start walking around have a bit of a personality so the next stage to this model was to start writing some custom AI I wanted these goblins to be in kind of this permanently annoyed state and if they were to find a player

Roaming around in a cave they’re going to start following them and insist that they trade with them Now if you decide to ignore this little fella well he’s gonna get even more annoyed and this is what I decided to add I’m just gonna ignore him I don’t want to trade with you why are you following me I don’t want to trade but

If I do ignore him for too long he is a he’s gonna retaliate hey why’d you do that for basically he wants you to trade with him so once I open up the merchants window here he will stop hitting you and it doesn’t stop there he he still he’s a

Little bit he’s still got a little bit of a temper say if I was to go ahead and close this window without purchasing anything there is the off chance that he actually might hit you because you’re not buying anything from him so it doesn’t happen every time but there is a

One in five chance that he might hit you when you close the window here but once he actually purchased something he will stop hitting you and he will also stop following you as well and will start looking for other customers to trade with well other players next I simply

Made it so the Goblin would wander around the area right now he was just kind of just standing there until he found a player but what I really wanted to continue working on was the personality of this goblin I still had so many ideas I wanted to add to this so

The first one was if he hit the Goblin he is just gonna hit you back once it’s not a hostile creature but because he is annoyed all the time he’s just gonna hit you back you know to make it even The second idea I had was to make the goblins favorite food apples now I originally wasn’t going to do this but a Vinny who created the model actually also created me a render which I can use for graphics for this mod and in the render the Goblin is holding an

Apple having that said when the Goblin is not at max health he will actually eat an apple now if you’re evil enough to kill one of these little guys they will actually drop apples And finally if there are any apples laying on the ground the goblins will go over to them and pick them up now this model was reaching its final stages of development there were a couple more things we needed to do one we needed to make this goblin spawn underground and

Two this thing needs some sounds now making the goblin spawn it was quite easy I based it on the wandering trader logic and just modified it a little bit so it suited towards underground and just for testing purposes I made them spawn a lot more commonly but when you

Guys download this yourself it will be a lot more rare just like the wandering trader for the sounds because the goblins are annoyed all the time I imagined that they would be making all these small grunting noises and honestly this was one of my favorite parts of creating this mud because I actually

Recorded my own voice so when you actually hear the goblins in the game you’ll know that it’s actually my voice with some effects applied I also made it when you hit the goblins they fall over and I added lots more trades for the Goblin and there we have it mud is now complete

Thank you again to not a for suggesting this idea but we need to move on to the next model now this next model we are creating consists of two ideas these ideas come from a jaw and Rex games and they suggested to add in some sort of dog

Bowl and also make dogs be able to perform tasks I loved these ideas because I felt like dogs could be a little bit smarter in a Minecraft so let’s get coding so to start this mod off we are going to be working on the

First idea and that is to add in a dog bowl now I quickly added in a simple dog bowl which we will improve later because I wanted to work on the AI now I actually made this mud before I created goblin traders so this was actually my

First time working with custom AI and to test this out I decided to make wolves jump all the time so now that I know how to create AI the next stage was to write the AI so wolves would try to locate a dog bowl if their health was below their

Max health this was relatively easy to implement and when the wolf reaches the dog bowl it simply just sets its health to max health next I added some particles when the wolf eats from the bowl all right here we go first test oh alright I think I’ve got some more

Sensible values now let’s go ahead check it out here a little bit better but a little bit messy and here we go hey but now we needed to improve the dog bowl because in order to finish off the AI we need the dog bowl to actually have

An inventory we can put food into so the first thing that I did was improve the model now I thought a round model would look good but that actually ended up with some shading issues in-game so I decided in the end to just go with a

Square model and that seems to fit into minecraft a bit better and of course I made it so you can get them in all the 16 colors alrighty so this mod was off to a good start but now it was time to work on the inventory system I’ve been

Talking about so for this inventory it’s simply going to have one ass lot of space which we can only place food that dogs can eat inside of it and after a short while we had something working now I also made it that the item actually renders on the dog bowl model and

Depending on how much steak or food is inside of it it will render more of that item on the model and to wrap this up you can rename the dog bowl and it would display on the side of it only dogs with the same name of the dog bowl will eat from it And now the dog will consume the food in the inventory so that is the dog ball complete now going to create the second idea of this model so to rehash the second idea it was to make dogs be able to perform tasks and the one that they

Suggested was to be able to make dogs put items into chests so how we were going to achieve this is if I was to go ahead and press the letter U on my keyboard and I am looking at a chest at the same time it’s going to tell my dog to take

The item out of my hand and put it into the chest now this first stage contained a lot of coding I think I spent three hours just working on this but soon enough we were ready to test it out and I mean went pretty well all right things should be fixed up now

So when we go ahead and press you should come to us take the item out of our hand and put it into the chest something I didn’t show you is you can actually cancel the command so if you press the same button again the dog will bring it

Back now I thought it would be a great idea if the item actually rendered inside of the dog’s mouth so you can actually see which item they are taking to it however we are now at the final stages of this mod and in order to polish it off I added some sounds so

When you actually cool your wolf you’re actually going to have a whistle sound and I also added crafting recipes for the dog bowl which I forgot from before and just like that mud was now complete so thank you again to jaw and Rex games for suggesting these ideas I absolutely had

A ton of fun at programming them but it’s time to move on to the last idea this has to be our biggest video so far but we’re gonna finish it off with the fourth idea here which comes from tarnished a silver and they suggested to add in a glass cutter now this would

Work just like the stone cutter but is actually designed for creating shapes with glass currently there is no possible way to create glass stairs or slabs in Minecraft but with this mud you’ll be able to do that so let’s get coding alrighty so the first stage of

This mod was to simply add in the glass cutter block now I wanted this to look like the stone cutter because I wanted it to fit into the vanilla feel of the game I felt like it didn’t really make sense to stray off and create a completely different model but soon

Enough we had a working block in the game all I’ve done so far is just change around the blade texture to a diamond blade but honestly I am bad at texturing I mentioned this earlier texturing is my weak point when it comes to modding so

This is just one of the designs that I came up with but later on I decided to change it it was time to head back into the code though because next on the plate we were going to implement the glass cutter window and because this was

Going to be just like the stone cutter window it was actually quite easy to implement because all the code is already there it’s just a matter of copying it and changing it around for the glass cutter so it was now ready to be populated with recipes so just like

The stone cutter here we need to add in some recipes for the glass which currently right now doesn’t have any to start this off though I added recipes that glass can already make in Minecraft such as bottles and glass panes this also included stained glass however we

Need more shapes so for this mod I’m going to be adding in glass slabs and stairs funnily enough this is actually where a lot of the time developing this model was spent just because of the amount of blocks I was adding in at once but soon enough we had something working

All right moment of truth let’s have a look here you scroll down on the building blocks well good there uh-huh they don’t really look too much like glass right now let’s fix that oh they sound like glass now that issue was easily fixed however from this image you

Might be able to see that something is a little bit off those models just kind of look weird when you apply glass to the normal minecraft stare model I needed to do something about that I wasn’t happy so squishing over an hour’s worth of work into four seconds you can now

Clearly see what the problem was it looks a whole lot better now finally the new blocks could be added to the glass cutter recipes the glass cutter can now be crafted with one diamond to iron and three stone and last but not least I have improved the texture of the glass
