Hello everyone this is mumbo here welcome back and today we’re going to be taking a look at something really quite awesome for those who don’t know on the hermitcraft server we’ve got an area known as hermit thrills now this is a place where all of the hermits can come Along build mini games for all of us to play and generally have quite a bit of fun now i personally am going to be building a race but sadly i didn’t have any way to time any of the hermits using redstone so i headed off to the drawing Board and this is what i’ve come up with is a fully functional redstone stopwatch that works absolutely brilliantly so let’s take a closer look so to use this all you have to do is flick this lever here that will lock the chest and make sure that your score is Stored then to start timing you just flick this lever here and the stopwatch will begin now you have to do your race finish your course or whatever you have to do but once you are done with that one all you do is flick this lever right Here take a look in this chest that that is the score that you have achieved of course if you are doing a raise then a greater number of items means that you’ve taken quite a long time whereas a smaller number of items means that you’ve been relatively quick but once You’ve noted down your score you just flick this lever here all the items will leave the chest and the stopwatch is ready to use once again now i think from this point forth i’m going to refer to this design as the pocket stopwatch because as you can Quite plainly see the redstone behind it is incredibly compact there is very little redstone involved we only have a few tiny little circuits to lock all the hoppers and then this little item elevator here which transport the items from this hopper up into the item storage so that the stopwatch can be Used once again so all in all it’s an extremely simple circuit and you shouldn’t have any trouble building it so how about we crack on and i’ll show you how to do it so you want to get things started with a three by six area and the first thing That we’re going to be doing is our little hopper dropper setup so you want to place a block like this and then a chest on top then you can remove that one and place three blocks up like this three blocks up like this and then a Redstone lamp on either end with a lever on the faces of both of those now i have to say these two blocks here they don’t have to be redstone lamps but it certainly makes life easier for your users so i’d suggest using them anyway now you want to head around here place a Hopper running into the back of that chest a double chest on top of that hopper with two droppers facing upwards running straight into that one then you want to run a hopper right into the side of that dropper and a hopper running into the side of that hopper blimey i Never want to say any of those words ever again time for the tiny bit of redstone circuitry to make all of this work on the back of this redstone lamp you want to place a redstone torch then two blocks out like this and redstone dust on top of both of those then you Want to head down to this dropper here place a comparator running out of that one a block like this with redstone dust on top of both of those they block up like this they block up like this a block down here with a repeater running out from that block redstone dust Running background into that comparator and set the comparator in subtract mode now what this circuit here does is creates a redstone clock only when there are items inside this dropper so for example if we chuck a bunch of items in here you will see that the droppers Start firing and it will actually start firing the items up into this dropper which will then start firing them up into this chest right here seeing that it can fill up now what we have to do is chuck all of our items into here and we’ll have ourselves a working system so Now to test it out firstly you want to lock your stopwatch so that means that no items will be flowing through the system then to start timing you flick that lever and we should begin to see items flowing down into this chest then when we want to stop timing we flick This lever that should now stop so that is all good when we flick this lever we should see that all of the items flow out from the chest go into our item elevator and should all be fired back up into this chest here in which we are Left with all of them back up there so there we have it ladies and gents that is your simple redstone stopwatch i hope that you found it enjoyable if you did please be sure to that like button and if you really loved it then make sure to subscribe but thanks for watching guys This has been mumbo and i’m out i’ll see you later Video Information
