My Top 10 Best Minecraft 1.16 Survival Bases

Hey folks whip here and welcome on back to minecraft today we’re going to be taking a look at my top 10 favorite minecraft bases i have ever built i love building big old bases inside of minecraft and today i want to take a little bit of a look through the flip

Absolutely love this place but the reason why i put in honorable mentions here is i feel like i didn’t finish it enough to warrant ranking it in the top 10. it was one of the first times i ever tried an asian inspired area the only other one was source block

Season one server which was another similar style to this one up here but this thing i actually finished the main building for i love this guy to death it’s so very cool but when we come up here you can see a lot of this area here

Still needs to have some love to it now this one right here you all probably recognize a lot this is our current season 2 hardcore survival world where i’m putting this in the honorable mentions because i love this base but there’s not quite enough done for it

To really rank it in the top 10 compared to what else we’ve built we’ve got a dock area down there we’ve got an enchanting tower we’ve got our nether portal we’ve got our starter base with storage room starting a giant castle project right along those lines once that gets finished up

I think this would be a top five base for sure now as we’re going through these worlds i want you to let me know down in the comments below what was your favorite as well as what was your least favorite build that i have done so far

By the way i cleared out this giant area of the nether in survival it took a long time all for that wither skeleton farm that portal right there leads us to a number 10. we are in the top 10 list now after all the honorable mentions and i want to start off here

With white glenn but this is the very first village remake i ever did inside of minecraft it is very cool for me for the nostalgia sake for it but there’s a lot of things from the build style to everything going on in here that i would love to update and improve on i

Think it’s something very basic and i’ve grown a lot as a builder since i did this one but it still holds a great place in my heart because of everything that i was able to accomplish inside of here the reason i put in this one at number 10 is one because i absolutely

Love the builds but there’s nothing really functional to the area quite yet besides having a mending villager that’s literally the reason i did this entire place is because i found a mending villager out here but then i started adding all this farmland around it which really just set the atmosphere and

Vibe for this entire world and i love it so very much now the amplified world i’ma count this as number nine in its entirety because we spread things out so very much that the entire world is kind of our minecraft base starting off here in the guardian farm still a work in progress

Let’s go to the city if you aren’t familiar with this world this is an amplified minecraft world so the terrain goes way high into the sky which is the main reason why i’m ranking this one at number nine flying away from the city so we can get

A good view of this one i love the build style we have going for here i tried a very steampunky but functional minecraft build so we have an iron farm in there there’s a creeper farm inside of that thing we’ve got a slime farm with this giant pipe

We’ve got a sugar cane farm we’ve got cactus farms we’ve got every type of farm farm and it’s amazing it’s so very cool but the reason why i put this one at number nine my friends is because it is a pain in the butt to traverse around

And i really have realized that i don’t enjoy amplified minecraft we even have a sheep farm up there in the hills but until we had an elytra which i now thankfully have inside this world it was an absolute pain to get around ever hey look another farm for villagers

Again this is one that i think i could do a lot better if we weren’t in an amplified world and i did the terraforming myself instead of trying to work with the amplified space that we have because again cliff village right there looks absolutely beautiful but i think

That’s something that we could achieve a little bit better and with more of a drastic appearance inside of a regular survival world instead of doing it all inside the amplified lands of this now here’s a base i have not visited in quite some time legacy smp season one our attempt at a

Cyberpunk base inside of minecraft unfortunately i was not able to finish this one but i absolutely loved this base it was so very cool over here we’ve got our cactus farm this thing i believe we have a sheep farm underneath where the items come out

Out of that pipe and flow all the way in there into a storage room inside of it we also have double tall flower farms for all the dyes zucchini our nether portal is looking absolutely absurd over here we’ve got some cool power generators and stuff and i really tried messing around

With the honey block as a source of power inside of this then we also have our storage room inside of here with squiddy boys equipped as our mirrors on all of our cars insane looking storage room and everything over there this actually has a sugar cane farm in

The top of it all of our mass item storages inside of this area do i have diamonds in here ah apparently i’m storing diamonds there was uh my absurd iron farm that of course also needed a building around it but you know that was something that was supposed to happen

Unfortunately didn’t quite get there super smelter underneath all of the kelp farm and everything like that and this one in here was the most insane part the only time and probably the only time i’ve ever built one of these or will build one of these is an automatic tree farm the amount of

Bone meal required to keep this thing rocking was absolutely insane but oh my it was a fun project to get going i only blew it up like four times while working on it my favorite part of this base was when the night came around so i’m so happy

The sun is setting right now seeing the giant flower lighting up in the center was so very cool and the hologram of a tree above our tree farm was absolutely absurd i had so much fun building up this base which is why i’m ranking this one here

At number eight i think it just needed to be finished number seven here we come my friends we are walking into the desert city it was originally a village and it’s just grown a lot of papyrus i absolutely love this place i’m ranking this one at number seven here though

Because it’s one of the older builds i’ve done and similar to white glen i feel like if i were to do it now i would do it a lot differently this one however i’m ranking a lot higher because it has a lot of functional elements to it as well underneath that absolutely

Massive desert monument over there of the palace there’s an entire hostile mob farm underneath it which gives us a lot of good drops we have the insane storage room for the entire building with whip world out underneath this big building over here two layers so many chests

The original house i ever built inside of this world is this guy right over here which turned out really really well but i think things that i would add to this style is breaking away from just sandstone on sandstone and being able to add more variation to it

Without just diving into red sandstone with terracotta i think the desert styles i would do more recently similar to how we did the 100 days hardcore challenge is they’re just different they’re a lot more unique and have different dynamic elements to them next up we have the port city itself

This is something that turned into temporary storage rooms giant map rooms of this entire world and just buildings upon buildings upon buildings all over the place and i think it’s very very cool i’m ranking this one here at number six however because it’s a project that i

Let get away from me there’s a lot of good elements inside of the world and a lot of good things going on but when you get down to the nitty-gritty of it there’s just a lot of things that i think i would have functioned differently and planned differently as i were going throughout

This project but you can see this project is absolutely absurdly huge when we pan back and forth and see everything around here however there is no function behind any of this so then all the way over here come around minecraft 1.16 i set up a new shulker box location and started

Tweaking and fine-tuning this side of everything the part that i feel like i could have done better about this is being a single-player world here is setting a project that was meant to span all the way to that back wall all the way over there

And then all the way to the ocean on this size was a little bit more than i could chew just being blunt about it and i think i should have planned things and only done things to where we put this river line throughout here and then if i wanted to after finishing

All that instead of doing a little over there a little over there a little over here is that we could eventually expand more as we wanted love this project to death i think it was so very fun but it was one of those things that again is just got away from us

With overly planning a minecraft build and not setting real expectations which why for this one it comes in at number six getting into top five territory now with our village remake come 1.14 i decided to take a regular minecraft village and transform it into what i thought they should look like

With all of the villager professions completely natural functioning nobody is trapped inside of anything we have wheat fields down here that the villagers able to use to create some bread to share around increase the population we have every single type of villager profession in here and most of these buildings i believe

Have interiors done for them as well for the villagers to actually be able to have spaces to work in and apparently the iron golems be able to hide inside this is one of the projects that i feel like i did completely finish over here so we even have stone

Masons chilling out with some rocks here that they’re trying to sell we’ve got i think that’s a leather worker in there we’ve got custom trees throughout the place we’ve got an entire stage here in the middle that jelly cat is hanging out on and the villagers are just roaming free completely safe from

Everything except for trying to jump inside of the magma blocks in the forge but over here i think i think all the villagers because i put the bell up here if i remember cockley yeah most of them are still stuck in here hey guys how you doing hanging out

In the bell tower perfect nice nice nice again number five on this one because it really hits that aesthetic mark that i love and it also very much hits the functional mark as well then we have entire giant fields to try and protect the village around it so

We’ve also done the terraforming to make the build fit into the landscape and the terrain everywhere going on the outside of it but you can see one of the original village houses right over there left that one in just for the sake of you can see what that

One was compared to what we did over here keeping to the same blocks and just pretty much introducing spruce wood coming in at number four this is a bit of a sad one to be revisiting my hardcore season one world where i feel like i was able to almost

Perfectly blend the building with the functionality and creating an environment the reason i’m putting this one at number four is well we died hence we’re in creative mode flying around it in a creative backup that i made so i could at least show this gel here we’ve got sugarcane farm over here we’ve

Got every single type of animal pen we could need we have an auto melon and pumpkin farm in there which is all as storage leading into those silos right over there which we have villager trading set up in that place all the emeralds you could ever need get

Generated right in here and all of the experience we have an awesome looking windmill inside of this amazing looking mega tag area where we have some custom trees and things all over the place i really tried to make very tall trees i tend to not do that so much and i think

It turned out so well for this build over here doing some custom terraforming with these magical rocks and crystals floating around was super fun there are renditions of the map all over the place so you can see an older one right there but coming down underground

I have an entire safety network of a railroad setup for us to use for zombie villager clearing with that guy right down there with good old jeremy and then we have just kind of things all over the place connecting to all of the different farms or in this case houses where we were

Storing the villagers like these guys unfortunately uh a zombie got in here and converted them all back but this is where i was storing all of my armors miss excuse me you all stand there okay we have a very cool village center in here which i

Thought was so fun to have the giant mountain that we were working in on in the back i really wish i had been able to finish that before we died but unfortunately that didn’t happen coming back down into the cave though we have an insane storage system down here that

Auto sorts everything you could possibly need and we have this very cool graphic here with you can barely read flip in it and i think it’s so fun taking a look above though you can see there’s a few more buildings that are meant to be in there there’s our enchanting cave

Hidden back into that point completely spawn proofed and very very dark and ominous but i love it so very much we have a quarry down here that leads to a tnt cobblestone generator which is super sweet as mentioned though the environment was really starting to come together with uh you know the giant

Mansion we built in the back and then having all the trees inside of here it was just something that i think i would rank higher if i were to have more time to do it there’s a giant creeper farm underneath there we’ve got the iron farm over here and

You can see the remains of what was supposed to be finished for the mountain range everything over there is done these unfortunately as i was trying to take this down so we could build a giant dwarven gatehouse to get in here died literally doing that to a creeper

Coming out of a cave but it’s fine sheep farm was set up in here ready to go so i could start texturing the mountain because i didn’t want it to all be stone oh man it’s so sad being back in here f in the comments f in the comments for

The hardcore season one world everybody the sun is setting and so did this world but dang does it look good from up here moving on to the top three my friends we are here in the colorful lands of this old village that i created over here and i

Absolutely love this one this is where i really started experimenting with using new blocks instead of minecraft and breaking away from the mold that i previously had more so just in the landscape you can see down here on the beach look at all the different types of blocks we’re

Using again i used to have a texture pack which allowed me to use petrified oak slabs that i created a recipe for that turned those into coarse dirt slabs so i’d take a little bit of a grain of salt right there but anyways coming around here i want to make a whitewashed

Village that really had this magenta that are so absolutely beautiful i made my first ever boat that i was super proud of as you can see i really experimented a lot with the landscapes using cyan terracotta and great concrete powder in the cliffsides themselves which was super

Fun we’ve got all that stuff rocking around here giant fields and one of my favorite parts is over here we have the giant peony fields which are just so so beautiful to look at double tall flower fields like this inside of minecraft are absolutely one of my favorite things

To have in this entire game i just think they’re so beautiful meant to be doing a lot of dye farms inside of here but i think just purely on the looks itself and the amount that i feel like i learned on this project and was able to complete throughout doing this this base

Is probably definitely in my top three of what i’ve been able to achieve so far in minecraft building it’s just too good to pass up and i guess hey there’s a functional thing look chess it’s a storage room we can check that box and move on right around the corner from the flower

Village as we have number two here being castle bleakrock this is one of my all-time favorite builds i’ve ever done and i think it is the all-time favorite castle i’ve ever created it is so very cool i was not able to finish all of the interiors but there’s still a lot

Of good stuff going on in here this is something i built way back in and like 1.12 1.13 tried using glazed terracottas as a form of like stained glass window we have a giant stable structure over here this one i really tried to go off of the defensibility of a castle so

You can see multiple gates and there’s a lot of things to be taken inspiration from so say maybe a new project i’m working on right now so we have a big old gate leading up to the throne room we have an entire mess hall cafeteria kind of dining hall session

Inside of here with very cool stuff going up at the top of it for all these rafters and things the throne room back here is looking super duper cool but i wish i had been able to finish off the actual palace itself all i did was the throne rooms inside of here

And add a little bit of a seating area and had all the pathways going around but i didn’t i wasn’t able to finish the building of the structure itself which is why i’m putting this one at number two from the exterior it’s very very cool especially from the water side over here absolutely

Love this thing it is so fun to work on i think there could be a little bit better job in the texturing of all the dye right in there i love that white wash to it with the salty spray off of the ocean but i think there’s just a lot more we

Could do the actual outside of the build itself even the landscaping connecting all the way down into the water and the cliff sides along the back edge have been completed and finished up so that’s super duper cool but the insides just need a little bit more love and there needs to be a

Functionality aspect to this going into spectator mode and flying way underground the functionality of this castle was although the blocks that i gathered out in order to break it and build it and do all those different things around the place is this is one of the largest mining sessions i had

In all of this world now because i can and before we jump over to number one i want to show you all the actual mining area that we’ve been using inside of this world this is absolutely massive look at the scale of this we can be in

One corner and the chests don’t even render and yes for the proof on the stats is if we go to times use there’s a broken number that is 1 million that is 1 million uses on the diamond pickaxes that was pre 1.16 so we didn’t even have netherright

Yet now that came up to 351 000 didn’t plan it that way but funny enough the little break over there leads us up to what i’m putting at number one inside of my minecraft world let’s get all of the landscaping and terrain to load in behind this guy and oh it is

Absolutely amazing i’m putting our nordic inspired mountain village as my number one base that i think i’ve ever built because we have the insane mountain biome around it completely as a backdrop and you’ll see here if we fly on underneath this everything is floating about 50 blocks above the

Ground because this was one of the most insane landscaping projects i’ve ever done in survival minecraft this is why we were able to break a million blocks mind and all that because i needed the stone and the dirt and everything to do this i would love to finish the

Forest throughout here and get all that stuff worked out but the actual thing that i was able to finish is the mountain village itself right over here you can see even the trees up on the hillside but just walk through this area with me we can walk on the ground going up to

The tippity top and i absolutely love this place the height variation for this build is something that i’ve always wanted to achieve i wish minecraft had rolling hills like this where super smooth working its way all the way up to the top and that was something we were able to

Achieve here by building the entire terrain ourself with a castle at the tip of the top cleared around so we have a lot of cool stuff going on but you can see this is finished all the way out here to a back exit gate we’ve got structures and buildings a

Little bit of a gladiator fighting pit inside of there we’ve got different buildings for all the different types of villager professions with a butcher being right over in here we’ve got a giant longhouse all these different styles of structures and things all over the place and every single one of them

I finished the interior for that is one of the first times i have ever done that even to the little nooks and crannies up there of the sleeping rooms and uh ignore that ignore that definitely finished everything walking away from that one see look another finished house check that out

Right there yep i did it look at me go and then in here oh even more this is actually a bath house i believe yeah yes it was it was supposed to be like a sauna bath house or something for all the people in the village and the castle i believe we even

Finished the castle this is something that i absolutely loved building a wooden fortress in the mountains so we got a nice little entrance in here very cramped quarters trying to make it very much of they’re trying to put as much as they can into one small area

Small throne made out of the stones of the mountain itself and look at that everything inside of here is decorated and finished up swords on display we’ve got very cool things inside of the towers themselves of people are living in here and then the quarters for the rulers to

Be living up in this place even brought in the red sandstone look how much we spent in here absolutely loved working this one here because we have all of the smooth chords creating these dragon heads being skulls hanging off the edge of the buildings just that was a very cool aspect we

Could add to this to make it more unique from everything else but then one of my favorite parts is i didn’t decide to just do custom terraforming up on top of this which we have an old like nordic ruin up there inspired very much off of skyrim if you can’t get

It from being just looking at it from down here but down at the bottom of the valley i made an entire mine system that you can go through and yes yes yes yes this was all floating every single little bit of this mine shaft is floating it’s an iron mine of sorts

So we’re showing some form of production inside of this village giving it a story giving it life and giving it everything it could possibly need for an entire forest surrounding it so once you’re in the village doesn’t matter that everything outside of it doesn’t look fully finished yet

Because being right down here maybe you can see a touch right over there but that could also just be an open grassy area everything in here appears to be finished and that is why for number this is going to be number one for me on this whole thing i
