mysticat – Smallest Minecraft Base World Record!

What is the smallest base possible in minecraft i don’t mean some simple dirt check i’m gonna use redstone to fit as many survival essentials as possible into this one little cube mumbo jumbo did a video like this a few years ago so i thought i’d see if i can make it even

Smaller with the new minecraft updates so here’s our cube we’re going to be working with today you can see it’s very roomy very spacious all around great floor plan very cheap for the price good area good neighbors we’re going to start by actually making it even smaller

Because you know i feel like this is a little too open for me so what i’m gonna do is i’m gonna crawl out here and we’re gonna put four snow right here and if we go through here we can actually fit through four snow and a trapdoor this is

The smallest hole you can fit through that you can make as far as i’m aware and there we go now we have a four high floor of snow all the way around we have successfully already halved the size of our house though it is still quite a bit empty and

I think the first thing we’re gonna need is a bed let’s get a white one for now let’s put it in this corner and if we set it down it does look like it is yeah this so this is the absolute perfect height we

Can’t go on top of this bed it is one pixel too high all right well i did some thinking and i think the best idea would be to get all the blocks we want to fit in here and set them outside because i’m not really sure how to go about this and

What to do next these are all the blocks i could think of that i want to try to fit in here but you may have noticed that we’re missing something and that would be a furnace i don’t know why i’m looking here as if there’s a furnace

Here there’s a little there’s not a furnace there’s not a furnace and that’s because i want to fit a super smelter in here yeah you heard me right a super smelter so i designed this to work specifically for our base how it works is that we have one chest for the input

No matter what it is whether it’s food or cobblestone or nether ingots or whatever they’re called that all goes into this chest and gets sorted out so if i go down here it’ll all go through a mini sorting system and anything that’s coal and look at this one anything

That’s coal will be sorted and put into the back of the furnaces and anything that is not coal will be fed into the top of the furnaces where it will smelt and then after all the smell things done this minecart will collect everything put it into this dropper right here and

It’ll shoot up one by one into the top although you may have noticed an issue how do i put items in this chest the only way to put items in a chest is to have a hopper that points into it and we need to have the water elevator run up here

Run into the side and go into the side of the chest and that’s way too much space so i thought of a different idea all we’re going to do is we’re going to go down here we’re going to break this we’re going to break this put water here and if i get a

Carpet just like this one piece of white carpet now whenever we have items go down to the dropper let’s say we made 64 smooth stone it’ll all shoot up through the water up to the carpet and when we’re in our base it’ll all just sit

Right here for us to pick up because the carpet is thin enough for the items to like go through it whenever we’re near it so there we go problem solved but you know i should probably actually test this and make sure it works so let me do

That before we replicate it in our actual build but before we test one last thing i want to change is swapping this chest for a trapped chest and the reason is if you put a bunch of stuff and then you go oh whoops i don’t want to put in

Diamonds that’ll clog my system let me take them out then because it’s a trap chest it will freeze this hopper with redstone signal until the chest is closed you see if i open it everything stops if i close it the items go if i open it they stop again and again that’s

All just to make sure that you don’t accidentally put the wrong thing in but it does look like everything is smelting correctly i just got the food back so if i fly out down here we do have seven furnaces so that should dump out and batches of seven

Is crazy that’s insane but now that we have a fully working super smelter in our base let’s get back to the storage because that’s arguably more important in my opinion and don’t worry there’s still a lot more redstone to do so if we get rid of this we can fit a double

Chest down here but then i feel like there’s wasted potential because if we’re on this side we could like put another block back here like let’s say we have our crafting table back here because if we put it on this side we can still reach back there so i don’t really

Want to open it from this side maybe we can open the chest from here and then we can get to the crafting table and the double chest maybe that would mean something needs to go here so what’s a block that’s not full uh grindstone and let’s go with the anvil

Put it there oh the crafting table is very small very small line to click on the crafting table but we can reach the double chest i have an idea guys what if we change the chest to be over here like this and then we get are there stairs of this block

Is this is this this one i think this is it let’s get stairs right here there we go yeah that’s the same one and then we get the chest and we can put the table down there and if we get these blocks here now yeah now it’s easier to get the

Chest and the workbench perfect although you can kind of see the dirt through there the little crack maybe i can turn it the other way let’s try that and place the stair like that so now we can only see it on that side so we put the

Anvil back no exposed dirt and there is the double chest all right perfect although i am now noticing uh how few spots we have left to fit all of that oh geez oh geez this is a funny angle hello oh that’s no longer funny too close so we

Can fit two more things here we can do like the loom under the bed and the table right here the cartography table oh and by the way you can step down it doesn’t break your curl you’re still technically crawling in the little tiny spot but i feel like we can fit more

Over here what if we moved the workbench let’s take it out from here we’ll put something else there what if we put the workbench in the wall and then we have a button somewhere like maybe over there and whenever you press it it swaps the crafting table with another block because you know

Redstone i haven’t made a block swapper in actually such a long time i wonder if i can even get it to fit in here it shouldn’t be too difficult but i don’t know so the first design i have here let me get this grass out of the way the

First design we have here is very simple very easy works super well it looks really good if you build a thing around it there we go this is what it looks like when it’s covered up very neat very cool except one issue um there’s not really a way to fit this

Piston hidden in the wall anywhere so sadly we’re gonna have to think of a different one and so this is a design that is directional it only works in certain directions so hopefully this is the correct direction but you need to put things in these two spots left and

Up and then if i get some blocks here let’s get a repeater put it to two ticks put a button now what should happen is we press the button and it swaps the blocks it’s a little bit slower it’s a little bit bigger but uh it does work and it goes up

So i think this should fit in the base i’m pretty sure all right here it is it seems to work fine we’ll be able to cover it all up just like that you won’t be able to see anything other than the block there on the outside let

Me just run it again that’s what it’ll look like from the outside uh and it doesn’t appear to be visible anywhere on the inside uh or right there but we can put a block here to cover that up like one of these blocks yeah now it covers it up can’t

See any of that nasty redstone but you may have noticed a small issue which is the fact that uh the buttons over here it needs to be in here somewhere i’d like to put it right here just to have it really convenient next to the block but

Underneath here is the crafting table so i can’t really work with that if i put it on this side then the pistons here and if i put redstone down here then this will actually just break the thing and not work properly so we actually can’t put it anywhere near here and

We’ll have to put it on the other side of the base also i got rid of my table and you go get that there we go so the only real spot to put it is right here but that gets a whole block out of the

Way and i don’t really want it on the outside because that’s that’s no fun i don’t want that maybe we have another block look at the grindstone right we can put the grindstone here and then maybe we can go down and make all three of these something if there’s a button

There can we reach that oh we can what if the button’s down there oh i like this idea i’m gonna grab the ender chest let’s try an ender chest here still open because of the glass we can reach the button down there we can put some

More blocks over there some more of our tables and now we need to figure out how to reach that button over to the repeater outside and i’m not too sure how to do that okay i think i got it so the buttons right here that activates the redstone goes sideways into the

Repeater hits the observer and it should break the base perfect was it just messed up or did i do something wrong i think it just got pushed around when i tested it with that one thing maybe so if i go down here let’s try it again we’ll press the button

Okay there’s the smithing table press it again there’s two workbenches what did i duplicate it was it what had what it worked when we tested it over here did i just have two in there and i didn’t notice when did that happen press the button swaps with the workbench pressed it again

Grindstone we’re gonna have to actually cover this back up perfect okay i got worried for a second i wouldn’t be able to put the block here for the snow but it worked out oh and i didn’t put the glass back in so let’s get our stone cutter i can go here

Because the saw blade should cover up the rest of the stuff there can reach that we can reach the button and on this side we’ll put the grind still oh boy that is small wait you can click on the leg i thought you had to click on the stone

But is that what’s happening how do you click on the link okay well i guess it works it’s just very small right there but you can reach it all next i say we do the jukebox let’s go over here i have very small mouse room

There’s a cat on my desk uh i think oh wait the block under the anvil let’s do that we can replace this block right here with anvil and we can still click on it okay so if we get cat It’s kind of hard to do the dancing camera angle when i’m very small like this but whenever we’re done we click on it and we get it back okay i was scared it was going to like fall down in the button spot but did it fall down on the

Button spot where’d it go oh it went over the chest okay or you know what we can actually just swap it with this thing there we go we play our music just pops out right here you can’t lose it anywhere and then you swap this one

With the block i forgot to grab the cartography table gonna put that back over here with the anvil on top now we can reach our cartography table we can reach our loom we can play our jukebox and then get the music disc back out without

Losing it we can reach over here and get a double chest we can reach under here and get an enchanting table we have our smithing table we can press this button to change it to a crafting table then back here we have the stone cutter we have the grindstone we have all of

Our furnaces inside of this chest for a super smelter for all three kinds in the exit right here oh this is actually like a perfect base i also have the anvil which i just didn’t mention or the inner chest oh there’s so many things in here

And of course you don’t only just have one double chest you can of course use your shulker boxes just pretend all these are full of shulker boxes there you go look at how much storage we have these are all an individual chest look at us go

Look at us go that’s so cool oh and i know some people will ask about the bed so let’s time set midnight i seep into bed sleepy time we get out of the bed and then you just jump out so there you go works fine and to top it all off the

Only thing we’re missing in our entire base is a little bit of light actually i’m gonna use a saw lantern because i don’t know if the normal lantern will melt the snow so to be safe i’m gonna use a soul lantern and now we have a completed base
