Nether Fortress Discovery! Epic Minecraft 1.18 Survival

Welcome back to the basement the friendliest place on youtube i am waving a block of dirt at you i’m not really sure why um we we’re here in the villager area we’re not gonna spend too much time here i don’t think that’s not my plan we spent a lot of time here last

Episode the sun is going down let’s pop into bed and i’ll show you guys i’ve been busy a little bit off camera and i want to show you what’s going on i’ve been farming these trees gathering up some wood not too much just a bit two of these i believe makes stacks of

Sticks eight stacks of sticks which would be 16 trades and 16 emeralds let’s see uh let’s let’s set aside the existing sticks that we have and the existing wood that we have so we have a a pure count here i want to make sure i have

This right one two three four five six seven eight eight stanks of stakes eight stacks of planks uh per two stacks of wood two three four five six seven eight oh and that would have been 16 stacks so i really only need one one stack of wood is an entire um like ability

To trade before the villager says no more okay so speaking of these villagers let’s pop in here and uh you know what i want to show you some one other thing real quick here first um i found a couple of sheep and i dropped them in here and then i also

Made some space for grass blocks to grow down there so that they can never eat them all i don’t know if that can happen but in a two deep hole i don’t want them to eat all of the grass i suppose i could stick like fence here here and here

And then when that one turns to grass it would never go away but i’m just trying this method for now see it’s grass down here so let’s cover that up and it might be actually smart to put a torch down there so you don’t get any

Of a creeper spawn in there that’d be terrible okay i’ve been farming farming up this stuff and breeding i also did find a second cow and i’ve read them a couple of times in fact let’s go ahead and feed all four adults that we currently have we’ll grab these and there’s a cat

In here too kid then i need to get some fish so i can tame that uh so yeah so with the swole we’re making we can make beds and i think we should make some beds because that encourages uh breeding and we’re gonna need a few spares where’s all our wool right here

So 12 and 11 that’s a that’s a lot of beds i wonder if we should take this wait how much wool did we have 21. so we’re gonna need 21 planks which we don’t quite have unless we borrow from that that’d be fine uh okay so let’s make uh seven beds

Oh and they don’t stack do they all right hang on a sec here we’re uh we’re running a little low on room in the old inventory and the chest and stuff it’s quite a thing uh okay we want to hang on to most of the rest of this stuff let’s just go ahead

And finish making our beds and i’ll show you what’s going on uh with these villagers okay so in here we have a fletcher and actually i added one bed to this because i got the wool from the sheep and uh something very interesting happened i added a purple bed down here from actually

A different villager house and now we should have three three villagers so this one’s a fletcher we’ve been trading with him in fact we need to trade some more but i just got all those sticks out of my inventory uh and then we have this guy who i’ve

Never traded with he’s a weaponsmith and i don’t know why he won’t not be a weapon smith it’s like he’s forgotten that his block was destroyed and this guy’s nothing so if i sit down an extra one of these yeah this guy will change and now he’s a fletcher too so now we

Ought to be able to get 32 emeralds per round of trading as long as we use them both that’s going to be a lot of sticks though let’s see one two three four five let’s set the beds down for now all right we’re going to trade sticks to

These fletchers and i’m thinking about murdering the weapon smith but you know he hasn’t caused any harm and maybe he’ll have good trades later i’m just not sure why he’s stuck being uh wait a minute oh yeah we have two fletchers okay so we can trade

16 times with this guy before he refuses to trade anymore with us and i imagine we can do 16 more with this guy [Applause] which is very nice and he’ll level up since he wasn’t max already so yeah we have bow bow trade okay so now we have 32 emeralds just from sticks

And we’ll put those in here that means we have more than a stack which means uh we can bring a stack with us downstairs when we go with these beds and These doors should probably bring some more doors and some blocks Do we have any doors in here oh we do look at that seven doors and seven beds okay um and where are those blocks in here and lecterns all right now let’s go see what our villager friends are up to down here i’ve added a little bit of uh an

Addition to the building i want to show you guys what i’m doing here So we’re just building out from the original building there’s uh there’s three dudes in here that guy is unaffiliated two of them are and that one’s the librarian the mending librarian so they they got their windows here they got their beds we’re gonna put some glass in here but we’re gonna um

We’re gonna build this out and near as i can figure it takes eight blocks here and eight blocks up top and then two on each side so that’s 20 to go out uh a layer and we have enough blocks to do that one two three four times And then we’ll put an end wall on so let me uh get busy doing that and i’ll show you guys when it’s done and we’ll add some beds and some other things and then we’ll move uh the villagers out here and that should be a real good time

So i’ll uh i’ll check back in with you in a minute so all right so uh we have built this little room here and there’s no glass yet um but we’re gonna put a bed how are we gonna put these i guess we’ll just put one here and uh we’ll put a lectern

Here and then a wall and then a bed and then a lectern and then a wall and we may need to put um like that uh to prevent them from getting out i don’t know so hopefully this guy will sleep in this bed eventually yeah go sleep in that bed would you

What are you doing in there look your comrades are sleeping go to bed villagers can be so difficult to work with i’m going to bed i’ll tell you that much right now oh look there he goes And now he’s away uh okay but you know what we can move this because he is all locked in and we’ll put this out here and hopefully he will be attracted to it and go to it come on yeah you’re still mending neither these guys changed but that will end soon

Because we’re gonna give this guy one and we’re gonna put a wall and a bed and a lectern look now that guy’s a librarian oh i wish i had more blocks on me right now i can’t believe what a doofus i am unfortunately it’s quick to grab some

Additional blocks uh okay that guy’s there just fine by me and that guy’s there Which is fine by me don’t be escaping okay good he’s trapped he’s trapped and this guy could be trapped Uh what is this guy this this is no good we don’t want a bookcase we want i don’t know on breaking three or something there’s our mending guy he’s great we’ll keep him we need to put a bed here there we go there now we need and we need to put

Some glass in we don’t want these guys escaping and i could probably make some glass by just smelting up some of the sand here this sand here i could go get it from the houses but there’s just not that much however how much do we even need to do this

One two three four five six six is that what it was one two three four five six yeah so 18. hey fox hi cat Um but the idea is that off camera i can come and uh break the lectern and set it down and see what trade we get and break the lectern and set it down and see what trade we get and just keep doing that until uh

I get something that i want soul sand 3 eventually or soul speed 3 will be a thing i’m interested in is that that’s only 13. so close all right let’s go get uh take a big jump here ouch let’s get some of the sand so we can

Smelt it in the glass and give these guys windows and then um uh we’ll see about whether or not we want to make well we made an additional fletcher right so we’re just going to leave the wood guy there no big deal let’s see six of these turns into 16 panes so six

Times eight is 48 so if i get 24 of these there’s 23 24 look at this pretty waterfall Oh I want that oh that happened in the wrong order he shot him But at the wrong time he shot loser would you miss me well you got me that time but it hurt you is it worth it Could be doing this Not today how come i’m not getting that not today achievement well see you later all right we have all the sand we want and need for these boys let’s put in the glass anyway because i’m nervous um Suppose i could do it from below couldn’t i here that’s nice i could have done that with uh i should put some ground there okay so let’s check on these guys are they the way we want them for now we got a fletcher and a fletcher

And a and a librarian and three kids you’re not a weaponsmith interesting you’re a fletcher though you’re locked in 32 sticks for an emerald you too we can already trade with them again this guy will uh we can play around with him but it’s an interesting thought that the lecterns downstairs

Could be becoming librarians up here also it seems that the beds downstairs are becoming children up here so we need to think carefully about whether or not we’re okay with all of that maybe we need to move the fletchers down here in boats one at a time and give them

Their own space i’ll have to be more careful than i was previously okay are we all filled in this window just looks at this goober i’m not sure we need that there in fact i’m sure we don’t need that there nope oh we could put a little window in here though

There that’s nice okay um you’re not yet a librarian okay will this lectern turn you into a librarian yes it will all right get over there No no no no you you were not supposed to do you escape a good trade for me at least no it’s just another bookcase that’s a bookcase this is a what protection 2 and this is mending right so we’re keeping him uh that i don’t care if that changes

This oh he’s in spot he’s in place okay so we’ll mess with breaking these and resetting them and seeing if we can get something better there i’ll probably drop in from the ceiling i wonder if all these guys need hatches that i can drop down into or if

I could just i could just trade with them from from outside the rooms i think uh yeah and then this will be right so we’ll have six librarians or so or maybe we’ll have four librarians and uh a fletcher either way we’re only one librarian or one testificate away one villager away and

There’s three babies upstairs so uh that’s pretty good i’m gonna get rid of that flesh and uh we’re gonna um go back to our base because we have a stack of emeralds which i’m really happy about stack and change so we can come back here and do the whole like farm and grind

Thing if we want and get more beds and all that kind of stuff but for now i kind of think we’re uh we’re all set just for the time being oh it is getting dark though let’s sleep all right i’m gonna head back to camp

And uh back to home base i’ll see you guys there ah home sweet home all right let’s apply mending to this pickaxe because i’m happy with the silk touch the efficiency and the unbreaking and there now we can heal this up any time we want using our uh experience machine

I’m thinking might be a good idea to take this and go looking for a name tag there is a uh i don’t have those fire resistance potions there is i do i did find a dungeon off camera and i know where it is but i’m

Not sure i know how to get there so i’m thinking we may just have to get to the coordinates and dig down let’s see it’s z is 10 and the x is negative 101. so here we are at our lapis mine and i’m guessing we got into it somewhere over there but uh

We actually need to go up 14 blocks to get to it so i’m not too concerned about digging down because we’re digging up um and i’m wondering maybe if we would be better off yeah no we’re gonna do it this way there’s that mossy cobble and here we are i found this little

Place while i was exploring down here off camera i put that wood block there it’s awfully suspicious oh yeah i pillared up here and uh i was like holy smokes i found a zombie spawner and then i lit it up and i did not even open the chests

Because i wanted to do that with you guys just in case there’s a name taken here so we can name the cow i’ve gotten other good uh no name taken there we do have melon seeds that’s new some coal and iron not bad what’s in this one

Oh a name tag excellent i was hoping for that okay um so yeah now we can name the cow we also got a couple of music desks 13 and cat that’s kind of fun this is a zombie spawner i mentioned that uh and now we have

An easy way to get back to our lapis mine from this spawner in case we ever want to do something with it i’m not convinced that we will but we’ll see and uh but yeah that’s kind of cool uh the man i just i wish i don’t have the

Comments in front of me but i got some really good cow comments um i got one from amelia pond uh fugo i think i may be misremembering that something like that It means something significant but i’ve forgotten that also boy am i a forgetful guy is it night time no it’s fine it’s day okay uh but what i someone said to name the the chicken cow and the cow chicken that would have been funny also but i have an idea

We’re gonna blame everything on this cow uh so the cow is gonna be like a scapegoat but of course it’s going to be a escape cow so if that all fits we’re gonna name it scape cow otherwise just cow would be fine let’s see space upper no

Delete i’m trying to do it without moving all around so it’s escape cow one enchantment yeah we can we can deal with that okay let’s go name scape cow and make it official and we’ll have to catch another chicken and name it duck unless you guys have a suggestion that

Can win me over that’s better than that okay it’s oh and also it sounds like escape so the cow escaped and now it’s skate cow and i think i have to turn on player name tags hold on escape cow [Laughter] hi escape cow so the cow escaped and now it’s escaped

Cow something goes wrong blame it on escape cow lose my stuff in the nether escape cow lose my stuff in the void escape cow all right so glad we got glad we got her named escape coward girl i think skate cow is a girl already i think the time has come to go

Into the nether and find a fortress and see if we can’t make good things happen with that so uh do we need to prepare or do we just need to dump some things out of our inventory we might just be ready to go on our own we could even bring a

Bucket of water because why not uh some blocks would be good don’t need any iron uh we could make a spare shovel i’m just not too concerned with any of our losing our tools or weapons other than that awesome pickaxe let’s leave the nice pickaxe here

It does have mending on it after all uh and then we can put this one in here and it’s gonna be another time oh it’s getting dark let’s sleep i want to go to another in the morning always feels ominous approaching the nether portal hopefully this ends well we’re looking for a fortress

All right so i think we’re gonna do it the old school way we’re just gonna we’re just gonna travel and uh see what happens i’m a little nervous about it i’m not gonna lie but i think we’ll be able to find something before too long um so yeah let’s uh

Let’s get started let’s get exploring in the old nether better have the sword at the ready just in case is this soul sand it is i don’t want to move slow in seoul sand oh but now i’ve got no choice hmm squeak squeak this is a very squeaky path

Whoo i like that green tree okay let’s build a cross here all right we made it so we’re in a forest biome which is kind of fun but we’re way low at lava level and i’m kind of thinking if oh we might want to just sort of like staircase up here

All right watch out for oh you guys are mad that i’m not wearing gold that guy can’t reach me okay watch out for lava i think we’re gonna put this here so if lava starts flowing we can stop it protect ourselves oh we busted out into the open here oh hmm

Not very promisingly though do you see what i see okay now we want to remember how to get back Oh i see a blaze ooh ow Okay i don’t need to mess with those guys um but i do want to take a picture of that just in case my this is dangerous i see a wither skeleton we are going to want wither skeleton skulls eventually and i see a blaze this doesn’t look as promising

Interesting happens here is this a dead end no it’s an intersection but then there’s not much to it this feels like it might be ow ow gosh i’m bad at this should be a little too slick a little too quick let’s take this guy out i feel like we might be right above

What looks like a spawner room maybe not though okay think about using your shield we already have six rods that’s fantastic a lot of glowstone okay a bit of a dead end let’s not go that way yet uh hi okay here we could go down let’s not do

That yet either let’s check this out this might just dead end and in fact it looks like it does so down is the way to go this i don’t know if this is a small fortress or uh it’s just mostly buried and undiscovered as of this point for me we will see

I like the shield stuff another down okay now we’re getting into it there’s a backup i see some wither skeletons this way that looks like a dead end at least i thought i saw some feels like a dead end and yet it’s not nope it’s pretty pretty cool slash terrifying

I haven’t seen a single chest yet or anything new like netherward plenty of soul sand that’s dead end this might be the other side of that uh wall i found earlier here’s our spawner right here uh we already have 15 rods but i’ve never been one to shy away from

A little bit of fun and what do we have now still just 15. okay so let’s bid adios to that can i sneak by this guy i did regular skeleton it looks like what’s gonna be here not too much nothing to be afraid of ooh here’s the blaze

I did not shield in time well this isn’t even our silk attach careful holy smokes oh man i thought i was going to hit the piglet for sure yeah they’re not friendly oh don’t hit him You might want to watch out mr piglet ain’t got no beef with you what is this oh yeah our spawner okay we gotta get out of here because we have enough blaze rods [Applause] it’s up here another one oh withered oh this is bad Not too bad you see them just turn into three it’s nice that they’re not so hard to find anymore but hey they weren’t flaming whoops you didn’t you didn’t notice that did you we cool all right up this feels promising and there may be another up right here now it feels very promising

Oh jeepers we do have a wither skeleton skull i’m not exactly sure when that happened but i’m happy it did oh careful there’s my torches all righty i’m gonna take these blaze rods and head home we do have a couple of ender pearls that we can turn into isabender

So uh that will give us something to do in the future and i’ll see you guys next time in the basement
