New Hermitcraft update: Fierce Guardians!

Oh hey hey guys welcome back to another episode here from the hermitcraft server with you goat hello ah huh huh what do you think oh yeah oh this has to be my favorite mural plans change but not really let’s check it out from a distance man oh ouch why

Am I why did I just fall down down man I just finished that thing an hour ago and underestimated it I thought I could hammer it out in a day or so but took two and a half because the block pallet of it was uh brutal for some reason

Thought we uh weeded it out nicely but uh yeah that that thing uh complicated but look at it a man look how beautiful it Blends in oh my God I love it it Blends in so nicely with the tomato tree and um yeah tells the story of the area back there beautifully the

Big flat Des the goat mother in the background amazing and yeah this is a piece by ladium um which was Fe which piece was also featured last time on the thumbnail and the idea of the big city that will happen here which will still happen um definitely going to use that

For inspiration but yeah that’s another piece they made um two 3 months ago and I already saw it back then and thought man this is amazing and yeah while thinking about it a little bit more and then actually went into creative and transferred the art piece into Minecraft

And it looked stunningly great like it does look now just beautiful I thought man I got to put it there look how beautiful it Blends in with the tomato plant right and then there’s the big flood the wave the gold Ms pulling the strings in the background

I mean come on these pieces they are just fantastic so larium man they are doing amazing work thank you so much for that amazing piece couldn’t think of a better piece to fit back there it’s amazing it’s not fully finished everything over there there needs to be some Leaf action right need

To put some leaves along here also I haven’t had time to do the pipes yet but yeah it’s a yeah magnificent piece with lots of shading in there although you don’t really see it on first glance but yeah if you look around here for example there’s lots of stuff going

On lots lots of stuff right here so that’s why it took um really long to build like here this one you know I was under the impression I got really fast with building murals now but look at the areas here of having you know plain colors lots of um yeah um big scale

Areas that are not really shaded much and so on and you could Hammer that out rather quickly this one here has a yeah quite the higher resolution again and if you look at some of the areas here using a huge color pallet and each of the pizza slices just consisted out of yeah

Let’s say two double chests of different items pretty much all the time so it was a lot of going back and forth and back and forth blasting through a whole shocker box of rockets just from going back and down back as two days yeah this is definitely one of the more tedious

Ones this side here then yeah the last bit here flowed better but over here um yeah took quite quite some time underestimated a bit um yeah maybe for the next time we need to ease the color pallet up even a little bit more but yeah we want to have a certain

Resolution and then it partially gets tricky you need to yeah it’s it’s still a learning process with the murals but yeah this one um took took too much work for the size like it felt like it took as long as making this one here just for this one one piece and it was

Significantly less time in total but yeah towards the end I could feel a little bit of burn you know what I mean when you’re really not happy about the progress when you’re just feeling oh God I this needs to be finished oh yeah here I just came over brought a few note

Blocks uh up in here we want to throw in a note block real quick that’s still missing I saw that and I was inspecting it um I tried to save some time here we go by cutting some some areas out right where it’s not visible like for example

Here behind the structures here so saved the saved on a few blocks here and there or a little bit further over there but um yeah definitely cool but yeah now I mean the total view on the perimeter now is just mind-bogglingly cool I mean if you look from over there Hall of Goatman

Um looks absolutely glorious let me get over there what is scar doing looks like scap is also seeing some progress was on all the time monitoring the wi reactor looks good no issues yet um with Ren building over there but yeah man and we got to

Probably get an angle from over there a little bit further ah yeah that whole area back there I mean that’s gnarly W can’t believe we hammered it out over the past few weeks man crazy look how smooth the transitions are now right we have the gold mod depiction the purple

Wings transitioning over in here you know you have the purple wings again and then crazy stuff going on tomato plant flowing into tomato plant into big wave wow that is just absolutely cool I love how these pieces uh turn out uh by ladium they’re just one of my favorite um fan

Art pieces this season um you know for this whole theme wait what what is going on here now wait what scar is spreading his Forest we didn’t you know we were talking about maybe we can connect our two areas here a little bit I guess uh scar has

Different plans I haven’t had time to chat with him okay I guess the forest coming up to here maybe we can blend a small bit in there all right then his advanture land here now he taking shape made Pathways and stuff all around okay so that problem solved too

So I don’t have to do much teror forming that’s a smart trick by Scar let’s just cover everything with dense forest and it looks good and that’s nice that it transition transitions here he did plant some trees here too and you want to grow them now

Okay I guess I’ll bone Mill the floor here a little bit and then this this will look fine okay good good very nice very nice um okay let’s have a quick peek over at SC g land the castle is really taking shape you can’t miss it by now from the

Perimeter it’s so crazy here we having this amazing amazing neurals and stuff and then we got Ren’s chunky place behind for the people don’t know he’s trying to deliberately build as ugly as possible and he’s definitely succeeding oh my God it’s such an ior like thinking of putting a wall here

Like what oh I didn’t think it was going to be so close and so visible right there oh well what you going to do oh yeah thumbnail as well you guys might be oh randu left oh come on you don’t have to leave randu stay bro I don’t hate it that

Much yeah thumbnail of today Bam by the one and only most amazing fan artists out there docky one day the other day docky came to me and said Papa um I want to draw you pretty much and I said okay and then starts drawing me he’s like that looks mightily like my

Minecraft character with the googly eyes and stuff and then when the wings came out it’s like okay doy actually depicted us flying around on the server and yeah still a thing docky loves to fly around and yeah I just said come on best thumbnail that can happen so yeah um new

Thumbnail artist docky make sure to follow their socials it’s mine Link in the video description twitter. M77 yeah the fan artist I shared that on Twitter and all the fan artists said okay this has to be the next thumbnail also they challenged me to uh you know

Make a fan art of myself because they’re working on another crazy fan art project they’ve been hinting um and asking if I would do it if I find time I’ll try guys but my you know especially my digital painting skills are miserable probably I could try to P you know paint something

Together with doy but it probably will not be um you know more sophisticated than the thumbnail today so maybe you can just use that fan arst out there doy says it’s okay all right so we got this mural and pretty pleased about it and today I want

To work down here a little bit um you know we mentioned our street system we will have going on here our around in the perimeter and it would lead to the procedural stairs leading up to the you know um glorious holy elevator I found it funny uh some

Comment I was reading last on last episode somebody was saying wow this guy he really goes goes out of his way to come up with all kinds of crazy Lord just to justify his super over engineered elevator yes true that he came up with the whole Lord just so we

Can justify the elevator now you can now you can think about if I really would be that crazy to do that so anyways today we want to work here a little bit and uh idea is we want to build some staircase leading up and yeah um got some materials here and yeah

We’ll just um start building here a little bit and catch you when I made a little bit of progress but I think um you will like this we will include another amazing Community suggestion all right aha building these roads also got a little bit smoother but it’s still yeah still a bit tedious

Showed you last time but we’re getting there and yeah here um I started work on um yeah the main road here in the middle as you can see there’s bunch of dirt there that needs to be transformed into pass blocks yet but we’re getting there and it leads up to this monumental build

In the front oh yeah I like that it’s St to look cool so people will come along the bridge here or the road and then um enter here and start to you know process upwards maybe I should throw in some stripped Oak into the mix just for a

General look I didn’t do that yet yeah yeah I’m going to I’m going to throw in some some of that just to make it look a little bit more yeah fitting with the rest but the style of the build is the same more cubical style and then we have

A lot of copper and yeah basic idea right as I said the big processions that would happen here and we have our Ring Road and the Ring Road needs to be connected from four sides so in a cross shape I’m going to have one of these

Here here and one in the back and forly before I came here and built the um drown Farm here right we had the floating goat skull that was the big artifact they had discovered here so probably the roads met uh straight under the floating goat skull and people were

You know doing circles here and when they were done then they would continue towards the temple but yeah they would probably March under here to get the blessing of the goat skull or something like that but yeah that is all lost in time um and yeah the roads were

Destroyed and yeah I put the farm here then later when the goat people in the shape of me returned here so yeah got to go ahead get some buckets and flood here a little bit more and then I’d say yeah we getting there yeah and um get some of

The stripped Oak and mix it in to make things look a little bit more fitting and then I had this cool idea for some cool statues um I guess I’m going to build one then we can look at them that was also a suggestion from the community

Which makes me especially happy oh yeah a mighty guardian of the perimeter look at those bad boys just finished building this one oh man and yeah this was an idea by secret visuals 1847 over on the hermitcraft Reddit they posted that a while ago and I thought it

Is a brilliant and cool design and this is not exactly you know the way it was posted on the Reddit but you know heavily inspired of course by it and yeah thank you so much secret visuals really really cool idea and yeah obviously the idea is right we have the

Mighty Guardians of the perimeter here I might throw in some more wood bits in those two now looking at them maybe here and there a little piece of wood could blend them in a little bit better better we’ll see we’ll see uh work in progress work in progress so yeah the idea is

We’re marching up right and there the the path to the holy elevator is flanked by these Mighty Guardians of the perimeter and they look so cool from all angles man they look cool I always have a hard time making figurines like that you know we had these amazing goat

Statues already we’ve been using all over the place that was also designed by the community and yeah those are the a little bit and pieces I appreciate a lot because you know I’m more yeah the technical player in a sense but uh you know those larger scale big picture

Things I think I have a better Talent um than for the fiddly stuff so I’m yeah and all the people that help me also don’t like fiddly stuff too much so if you can contribute small bits and pieces like that very much appreciate it we love them and yeah this one is

Particularly cool uh in in spite of the original or in contrast to the original we added some more copper to the whole mix and this guy is holding a Warhammer at the moment um we will build a few more to be exact let me think how many

Did we have here one two three four five six seven more I will build now and um yeah they all hopefully most of them will have different weapons and a bit of a different configuration and then for two that will sit on these pillars up front

Had a cool idea to kind of make make a gate that is kind of uh supported by them so let’s see how that will turn out but that should look really really cool but yeah it’s it’s coming together but yeah I definitely think I will throw in

Some wood and maybe when we’re done with the statues maybe we can damage one or two of them as well at some point make them look a little bit more old at the moment they look too clean almost for my teste maybe they need a little bit more uh grass or so more

Overgrowth but yeah things are shaping up that’s that’s that’s for sure yeah added some wood bits right to the structure there and that blends it in uh nicely already and yeah looks like an old Temple structure man look at how cool the statue looks from a difference

Dude then is this thing back there man this makes me particularly happy whenever I look over there I think to myself man this looks so cool this flows so nicely this whole area back there in the perimeter looks absolutely freaky and I love it I love it but yeah pass is

Coming along then there will be two roads coming in from the sides one will originate here in the tower go through here and attach to these other stairs that are coming up here on the side right that kind of brings it all together and everybody that lived in the

Houses over there and so on could reach the holy stairs staircase yeah which leads to the holy elevator okay um I’d say I hammer out a few more of these epic statues and U then I’ll see you Again Oh yeah the Guardians of the perimeter nice nice nice I like those guys cool man yeah you walk through here and be like bow down to the goat mother show some respect yep scale is also good of these things you know this guy holds a shield spear this guy normal

Spear this guy it’s like an X like thing I don’t know what the what the English word for that would be hellard I think and Trident here and this guy holds a bit of a spear with a bigger tip and different postures smaller shoulders wider shoulders like that different

Variants see so yeah we’re trying to mix it up and I think turn not great I love that section here threw in a few wood blocks here and there not too many yet and I think that’s that’s all right pretty cool let’s look at it from a distance a bit go further back

Here yeah nice nice it’s pretty cool finish the road here too all the pass blocking has been done so that’s done just need some debris around it I guess and yeah now as a Finishing Touch we have these two dudes here right and they’re holding up

Like a yeah I don’t know some some carriage or something and on top of that now I want to put holy slime AKA tomatoes and yeah I have to rail track ready already to do so now we will see we will have to stack a few on top so

I’ll put one roughly here there’s no stopper on the end so it will Scoot a little bit further and then we’ll see if he can maybe stack five on top or next to each other so it looks nice and not too regular um we’ll see how how that

Goes problem is like you know I can only be on these block sections right cannot really move them in the mine Cuts but they got to be in mine Cuts otherwise they’ll jump off so yeah we we got to somehow stack it on top of each other

And then make it look like a bit yeah not too yeah let’s see I’ll try let’s get over there we already have two big big boys spawning in Nice Nice stay close so not more spawns then we try to haul a few let’s get one guy killed

That’s the the safe way to do it here sure there’s no other slimes that can block this big slime from moving about yck tomatoes man okay got that now let’s get a mine cart on track wydo okay stay here a little bit so the guy actually is on the tracks can be picked

Up nice okay now we send him over put him in position I’m thinking maybe five or so we can stack on top there um yeah let’s see how it looks it should look fine in the end should be pretty epic I think it’s a it’s a cool little feature

Come up here you know and the holy tomatoes are loaded onto the entrance of the temp Temple I think that’s pretty pretty cool law wise there comes the Tomato you know now want to have like tomatoes like that driving around everywhere in the perimeter and there would be so many

Things you could do it’s endless all right we got a tomato up in there now let’s see yeah it’s positioned right there now scoot it a little bit over okay um I think I’ll try to get one in here more in the middle so it’s a little bit

Offset we stack them just need to be smart if I want to have one first I think we want to have one maybe here as well right next to this one here so we can build a bit of a pyramid I think yeah we put one guy

Here maybe offset it like it makes it half across the block so it will sit roughly here then we can put a second one there and then three in the front yeah let’s see how that goes okay let’s grab another one come on and spawn all right I’ll go

Over there and then they quickly spawn normally and yeah is a lot a lot O A man goes so quick the ideal case is if I only get one one big here and then I catch him right away but yeah the rare it’s just perimeter conditions Right Stuff spawns crazy it’s

A quick thing I maybe want to talk about while I do this here with the perimeter it’s because it’s kind of a reoccurring comment here and there uh and people say they are confused when I don’t uh when I put quite a bunch of my other Farms the

Wood Farms and things not inside the perimeter why would I do that they ask well um obviously perimeter is meant for Mob spawning so you know you only have a few spots where you can have perfect spawning conditions and not intersect with other things uh other Farms namely

So you know obviously you don’t want to waste your space inside the perimeter with things that are not um you know related to mob spawning and stuff right so obviously the perimeter I I I think there’s a bit of a a misconception about that topic because I think back in the

Days Mambo kind of made something you could call a perimeter was his industrial Zone and he had all kinds of other farms and stuff in there right so I think then people thought that is what a perimeter is used for but it’s not it’s technically you’d only use a

Perimeter from up spawning anything else doesn’t make much sense right why would you dig out a giant hole and then have a sugarcane farm there sugar cane won’t grow faster mobs spawn faster because you’re low down that’s what you want to achieve all right we cool yeah I think

We’re getting a bit of an offset here here that is uh yeah pretty cool all right let’s break that out let’s say the next one we potentially put here so we could achieve that by doing this then maybe we get a little bit of a different are they sticking into each

Other much no that’s actually quite perfect you don’t want them to intersect much too much okay so there is a hitbox that will bump into each other this might be good I mean if it’s not a good position you can always kill the Slime right and and retry it’s not like set in

Stone oh oh oh perfect only one yes that’s what we want to see all right let’s catch it and then then we’ll try and see how the positioning works when that is in place I’ll put a few more there then we happy Campers or happy tomato Farmers I guess wait what how how

What what bumped you there’s always something with you slime isn’t there come on catch it yeah there you go all right let’s send that guy over tendency to always wait and then flick the lever because uh when I just leave flick the lever and leave I always

Forget and the mine cart was going off while was trying to catch the the Slime so certain routines uh do help okay let’s see how that plays out now there slime arrives let’s see man mine carts that should be faster look at how slow this feels come on come on all right let’s

See yeah there’s a bit of intersecting but I think that’s okay it’s not too bad cool whoop let’s get back up here can we no and then let’s fly and then let’s see where we whoops where’s the lag coming from ow knocked me off the platform those slimes are

Fisty all right let’s land here um okay this one track can we reach all the tracks yeah okay and now now I’d say we put one maybe here it’ll sit here with a little bit of a gap then we can put one here and then start stacking on top yeah

I think that’ll look cool okay let me let me stack a few more slime and then um yeah we check it out all right I just came back from the official netherite Beacon reveal ceremony of jav um he’ll put it up on his channel I think by tomorrow so go

Check it out pretty cool yeah it’s amazing he he pulled that off man grinded out a whole legit netherite Beacon since the start of the Season thing looks crazy um yeah but before I finished the work uh in this section here just uh coming down the old road

Which is slowly been taken over by Nature here and I think we have a good balance here now with leaves and things we’ll look at it from on top in a second and now coming through the archway of tomato greatness with um total how many

Did I stack up there now one two three four five six seven eight eight Tomatoes stacked up there looks really cool in my opinion yeah I like it then you come through here and I made sure you know to try to age the place a little bit here

Stair is TR out and broken here some Moss is GR growing already and nature is slowly taking over here a little bit of a hole in the structure but also with the idea then for later when you walk up here you might get a glimpse that there’s Redstone hidden below here gives

A nice little view into the the whole thing for our display here right people who people don’t know this is a working display for our elevator if you look down from On Top This Will shift um you know liquid Cobblestone display we call the technology yeah and then you make it up

Here through um the soldiers and the Protectors of the perimeter pretty cool like this area lot in and if you look from on top this is how I envisioned the streets in the end over there I was a little bit scared with the debris here I yeah up the

Number of degis uh debris a little bit and I think this looks really cool now it flows nicely looks really really neat it’s fun fun detail work and yeah giving giving it the perfect look now I just need four more of these streets and continue this street here there will be

Lots of Street Network building ahead of me but yeah this is cool now I’m also looking forward to create a transition to over here into the elevator right cool staircase that leads up to the first floor here and then finally to the front of the elevator which will look cool

Yeah definitely looking forward to do that then we need to do this area over there this over it’s like man has so much stuff but yeah to they already cool additions again to the perimeter man now we can see bow in one shot here the old Temple entrance and back

There the prophecy of the wave pretty cool pretty cool I need to fill in the floor here so I can flood the rest of the perimeter all the way over that is also something I need to tackle it’s this bit here and there’s a bunch of it on the back side there

Too and that’s definitely one of those afternoons where you just want to mindlessly place a bunch of blocks I think that’s the perfect job for that yeah but we’re getting there man this picture is slowly but surely telling something I’m really pleased about this what you guys think

About the whole whole statue setup here I think that turned out great for sure let me know if you have any ideas or addons um we could do here to the section but in general I think that should do the trick to the area that

Leads up to the elevator but yeah as I said always open to for feedback and um looking forward to hear it oh there it is oh my God I just slightly panicked I was looking for the Dragon for the last 3 five minutes or whatever flying around

Here everywhere and there it is look how far it drifted holy moly unloaded here that’s it’s right there pretty much almost drifted the whole perimeter okay I know what I got to do now uh do some Dragon relocation bring it back to towards the tower I didn’t do it for uh

Yeah two weeks now or just building and doing my thing here and Y I was just panicking thinking when what flying around here the dragon’s gone I was already oh my God okay but that’s still going to take some time to move it back here all right anyways I let’s remove

The hit boxes uh continued here a little bit further and made another path yeah yes which now also connects to over to the bridge we need to remove these mushrooms finally it just didn’t do it because I had this assortment of Sher boxes there still which I still use for

Some of the building sides here but yeah it connects nicely now into our staircase which I you know prepped up a little bit more broke some blocks out here and there some more grass and whatnot but um yeah all good this part of the road is done as well

Now I just um need to do a road this way kind of running out towards the perimeter and connect back there and then we have the Circle Road pretty much finished then the crosssections and um then this will be done I think next time though I want to

Work on another one of the bigger building projects maybe tackle this side or this one here we’ll see always something to do for now uh there’s dragon dragons need to be moved back and yeah let’s wrap up the episode today I’m doing a lot of building progress at the moment but it’s

Also you know hard to make like long format content out of that I mean you know I’m building roads and things trying to keep it entertaining so yeah the last few episodes were a bit shorter than usual around the 30 minute-ish Mark not one hour uh long chunkers um but

Don’t you worry um if there’s more complex and technical things to do episodes also get longer again so yeah um comment of the week by wolfman 675 says Hermits struggling to finish their base meanwhile dog over here saying hold my tomato builds a massive perimeter gamebreaking farms and covers

The perimeter after it got covered then completely covers the walls in amazing art and detail he has time to get involved in local Wars in conflicts plays decked out and it’s only been about a year well the season has been running a little bit longer one and a

Half years that’s for sure but yeah you know I was not kidding when I said I’m going to outg grind them all I mean what is the best retaliation to a prank where people say oh man you can’t beat this you know they just covered the whole

Thing well by now I’m thinking I placed more blocks in the walls that they used uh to cover the whole perimeter and you know I made murals it’s not just dirt on the walls so if you still have a a doubt who won this conflict I can’t help you one thing

For sure there’s only one goat and nobody nobody can out grind me this season that’s for sure I mean yeah one section of my wall is probably bigger than a bunch of the players this season built in total so I win I win don’t you worry all right so yeah with that said
