NEW How To Get Mods In .mcaddon Format on Minecraft Xbox! Working April 2023!

All right what’s going on everyone it’s Smitty back with another video today everyone I’m gonna be showing you all how to download.mc add-on mods for your Xbox if you already know this method it’s pretty much the same method but just like a few steps have changed so a

Lot of people have been confused in the old tutorials so I figured we would just remake the tutorials and hopefully these will be the last ones that I have to remake for a while if you have any issues at all while doing this I’ll put

A lot of fixes to a lot of common issues in the pinned comment of this video and I can also help you at my Discord server in MC support chat make sure you go to MC support chat to ask your question but without any further Ado let’s get into

How to get these mods the first thing we’re going to do is download one file explorer app so go to your Microsoft shop on your console and then you want to go to the search bar and very simple once you’re at the search bar go ahead

And type in my files Explorer and you want to download this purple application right here this is the one get that installing onto your Xbox it’ll cost two dollars and sixty cents but there is a one day free trial and if you want a 100 free method to getting add-ons I’ll have

A playlist linked down below so some videos that are completely free but nevertheless get my files explored onto your device after you’ve done that we’re going to go ahead and get the download link to our modification so go to your my games and apps right here go down to

Where it says apps on the left side and then we’re going to go ahead and we’re gonna find Microsoft Edge every Xbox will have it and launch Microsoft Edge so we can search the internet and once Microsoft Edge pops up you just want to search for whatever add-on you want to

Get right here this is the furniture mod that I’m gonna download so I type in this furniture mod followed by mcpedl and MCPE DL is a very popular all Bedrock site for add-ons if you want like a dinosaur add-on type in dinosaur mod MC pedal and you’ll get results in

Google but if you want to get the same add-on as me go ahead and type this into your search bar and then simply press enter once you press enter it will be the top search result right here it’ll say search results for this load Furniture right here MC pedal press on

This top search result and then it will be the first option right here the season 3 City update pack and this is the add-on that I’m gonna get so we’re just going to press on that then it will take you to this page and you just want

To scroll scroll down all the way to the bottom where it says download links right here and you want to go to that top download link that says add-on and this will be our Mod download so right here it says uh season three part two

And that is the one that you want to press on and after you press on that it’ll say you’re leaving mcpedl that’s okay press on this green link that’s in the middle of your screen to continue so we press on that green link and once you see this link for Ty’s loading sign

Right here what you want to do is go to the top right here this top URL and hover over it with your cursor once you’re hovering over that URL with your cursor you want to press the button with the three lines on it on your controller

And you want to go down to where it says copy right here and we’re going to copy this entire URL after we have that URL copied we’re now going to go and create a new tab by pressing the plus button right here and once we have this new tab

Created we’re going to go to the search bar on the top and we’re just going to type in the space bypasser and the bypasser this will be a website that will allow us to get past link for ties which is what we have to do here so we

Type in the bypasser we press enter and then it will be this top search result right here the bypasser online and you want to press on that once you do that the website will look like this and once you’re on the website you’ll see this little box right here that says insert

You want to hover over it press the button with the three lines on it and once you do that you can go to where it says paste and that will paste in your entire URL into this box so it knows what URL to bypass and once you do that

You can go to this green button right here that says bypass link pretty much and you just want to press on that green box and once you press on that green box it will basically spit out a URL right here a MediaFire page it says bypass

Links and you want to press on that MediaFire link and after you press on that MediaFire link it will then take you to your download page and this is our add-on but we can’t use Microsoft Edge to download it won’t work on Xbox so we actually need to copy this URL at

The top so we’re going to go to this top of MediaFire URL right here we’re going to hover over it press the button with the three lines on it and go to where it says copy and we’re going to make sure we copy this entire URL and once you

Have that copied you’re actually good to close out of Microsoft Edge completely and now we’re going to go back into that application that we downloaded my files Explorer so open up my files explore earth once you are loaded in it will look like this and you want to go to

Where it says install from store right here and we’re going to press on that left button so once you press on that left button it will then take you to the Microsoft shop and it will make you download another app called expansion for explorers and this is perfect go

Ahead and press install on that and get that installing onto your device and once that is done installing right here you’ll see it in your recently installed go ahead and launch expansion for explorers and once you’re inside of expansion 4 explorers what you want to

Do is go to the top left where it says download from URL right here and we’re going to press on that button after you press on that you want to go to the top right here and we’re going to paste in our URL by first pressing a and then the

Button with the three lines on it and once you do that it’ll basically give you these options and from these options you want to go to where it says paste so we’re just pasting in that entire download link and after you press on paste what you want to do is go back up

And hover over this box Press A on it that will update it and you will now see your MediaFire Link in there and once you see that you can go to this next Arrow right here and press on the next Arrow that Arrow will then take you to

Your MediaFire page which is perfect and we can actually download it in expansion here so go ahead and press on that blue download button and once you press on that blue download button it will begin downloading to your Xbox which is perfect after that’s done it will then

Take you to this screen right here and you will see your MC add-on right here which is perfect and all you want to do is hover over your MC add-on press the button with the three lines on it and then go down to where it says copy file

Right here and we’re now going to copy this into our proper folder so after you press on copy file you want to go to the left right here to the packages folder if you don’t have this packages folder reinstall expansion and then it should show up but after pressing on the

Packages folder you’ll see all these different folders and we want to go ahead and find the microsoft.minecraft uwp folder Within These folders and there is a chance that you won’t have this folder if you don’t have this folder I’ll have a video linked down below you can basically add in the

Folder yourself very simple if you don’t have it move your cursor way to the right side of your screen press the button with the three lines on it and then go to where it says new folder and that will allow you to create a new folder and you have to name it exactly

As it’s shown on on your screen right there at the very top microsoft.minecraft uwp but I’ll assume you have this folder so if you have this Microsoft Minecraft folder go ahead and click on it after clicking on it you then want to find the local state folder

Right here again if you don’t have the local state folder you can simply just add it in yourself by going over here go to new folder but you want to go and find that local state folder and press on it then you want to find the games

Folder and press on the games folder and then lastly you want to see this com. Mojang folder and I’m going to press on the Comm dot Mojang folder once you are inside of the comdot Mojang folder make sure you have all these Behavior underscore packs resource underscore packs skin underscore packs and

Minecraft world’s folders created you need to have those but make sure you have all those folders made then you want to go ahead and find an open white space hover over it press the button with the three lines on it and go to where it says paste and we’re going to

Paste in our DOT MC add-on and once we see our DOT MC add-on right here all we’re going to do is hover over it press the button with the three lines on it yet again and go to where it says install and after we press uninstall it will automatically begin importing our

Custom add-ons into the right folders and this can take like honestly like five to six minutes so you might have to leave and go do something but give that a few minutes to install and eventually you’ll come back to see it extracting at a hundred percent it’ll say install

Completed right here twice but it’ll also say install completed some other things are still processing so you want to make sure you just let it process do not press B just let it keep processing right here until you see this process bar go away and eventually that

Processing will be completed and it will say again install completed for LF part 2 and that’s how you know you have all of the add-ons imported properly it won’t say processing anymore and you have everything done now and this last step is optional but just to clean up a

Few files here what you want to do is go to this multi-select tool in the top right the second button from the right here and press on it after you press on this button you want to go to where it says emcee add-on right here and press

On it then you want to go to this folder right here and also press on that and we’re just going to delete both these files so press the button with the three lines on it and then go down to where it says delete just so you can clear up

These folders a little bit and just clean up this mess in here a little bit so there we go after pressing delete this will also take like three to four minutes to delete these folders and files but go ahead and do that if you you want to just to clear up a little

Bit of space in here and once those are done deleting we now have one final step left and that is called the reinstall method and we have to do this reinstall method in order to load add-ons onto our Minecraft because with this reinstall method we’re basically going to completely uninstall Minecraft off of

Our console and then we go to the Microsoft shop and we download an older version of Minecraft that allowed add-ons and then we’re going to update that version of Minecraft to the newer version and then we will have our add-ons and kind of a little disclaimer

There is a chance that doing this method could actually set your worlds back in progress or corrupt some of your worlds there is a chance that’s never happened for me it does happen to some people and honestly I think for the large majority of people it works fine but I will give

You that disclaimer and I unfortunately don’t know if that’ll happen to you or not I don’t know any signs to look out for if your worlds will get corrupted but I need to let you know there is a risk to doing this but if you don’t really care this will basically work for

You to get add-ons this is how you do the reinstall method okay so where I’m at right now I have all my Minecraft’s completely uninstalled off of your X Xbox I have no Minecraft right now and we’re gonna go to the Microsoft shop we’re gonna go to the search bar and

We’re going to type in SpongeBob and you’re going to see this Minecraft SpongeBob add-on for eight dollars don’t worry we’re not gonna buy anything but go to this Minecraft SpongeBob add-on and once you’re at this page scroll down to where it says works with right here and you’ll see this Minecraft and that

Is the proper Minecraft that we want to install now and it should say install right here and you just want to get that installing if it says not sold separately or not currently available go ahead and download the game pass version of Minecraft the normal Minecraft and

Open up that Minecraft and have it running in your background and then come back to the special Minecraft and it should let you get it installing but we’re gonna press installing on this Minecraft and that’ll send it to our queue it’ll be a little like under a

Gigabyte there let it install and once this special Minecraft is done installing it’ll go to your recently installed right here and you just want to Simply press on it yet again and this time it’ll say Minecraft needs an update that’s zero kilobytes right here and you

Want to go to where it says update and press on that and honestly for me on Old gen this update takes like 35 minutes it takes a long time if you’re on newer gen it’ll probably go faster but right here so I just leave my console for about 30

Minutes I come back and eventually the special Minecraft will be installed and now once you load up Minecraft it’ll be the proper version you can go to create a new world and once you’re in create a new world you can go to your left side and go down to where it says Behavior

Packs and you can activate your behavior packs you should see all of your mods there that you imported which is perfect make sure you activate those Behavior packs make sure you activate those resource packs and then with mods one other thing you want to do is go down to

Where it says experiments on the way bottom left and you want to activate all of these experiments because those kind of make the mods work and there you go you have everything activated go ahead and create your world and enjoy your mods hopefully this helped you out thank
