NEW Project Revealed! – EP74 – HERMITCRAFT SEASON 9

Hey guys welcome back to another episode of Minecraft from the hermitcraft server in the last episode I told you about a project that I was planning the next big build and a lot of you got it right a lot of you guys said Hunger Games in hermitcraft however it’s

Gonna be Hunger Games with a Twist guys it’s not just gonna be any regular Hunger Games it’s gonna be hermitcraft TCG Hunger Games before I get started on building anything for it let me explain to you the quick rules again these rules are still sort of under construction I

Haven’t finalized anything yet but I think I’ve got a good base to start with so let’s get up here so you guys can see a little bit more of the island it’s kind of the tallest tree which is probably this one that was that one but that’s okay so

Each player will start here at the same time I have eight shulker boxes I’m hoping that eight Hermits sign up for this event because I think it’ll be very very fun they will all have a specific number of minutes to find up to 25 TCG hermit and effect cards so no item cards

Permit and effect cards there will be barrels hidden throughout the entire Island filled with carts including that Island right there right there that’s going to be part of it as well so there’s going to be a little bridge heading over to that island and there could be some barrels hidden there

Probably there will be players can only have five cards in their inventory at a time before having to run back here and deposit their cards in their respective shelter boxes so at the very least you’ll be making five trips back you start find five cards come back deposit

Five five more come back deposit this is to encourage PVP that’s right PVP will be allowed now if you kill a player and um oh by the way I should mention the barrels will have tons and tons of cards in them but players have to be sort of

Selective on what they’re picking it won’t be filled with cards but they’ll be definitely more than one or two we’re talking maybe nine cards per barrel so you could find the barrel and take five cards and bring them back but you can only Bank a total of 20 five so maybe

You pick the best cards and maybe you come back later and see if there’s still some cards available I don’t know we’ll see what happens but anyway as I was saying PVP will be on if you murder a player that has a bunch of cards in their

Inventory you end up picking up those cards and you have more than five cards in your in your inventory you must drop the cards on the spot until you have five to return back to your shulker okay good even if you’re at a barrel let’s say and you have five cards already on

You and you’re kind of searching for better cards you have to drop the cards or place the card in the barrel to only have a maximum of five cards on your person you cannot have more than five you can’t even carry more than five back to your shelter and pick you have to

Drop the cards on the spot or put them in the barrel if you’re searching through a barrel at the end of the timer whatever that timer will be that’s it it’s over you you now have your deck I will fill out the remainder of the 42

Card decks with item cards so there will be no no double item card so you’ll have 25 hermit and uh effect cards and then the remainder of those 42 will be item cards so I’ll hand those out and I will um allow the person to pick and players

Can probably go ahead and pick those from a predetermined uh set of chests or something somewhere else and that’s it and then afterwards there will be a mini tournament between these eight players and the winner will get a special trophy The Hunger Games TCG trophy that will be

Pretty cool looking I think you know what I should probably sleep right now I certainly hope all of that made sense and if it didn’t well then I’m sorry sorry I’m currently making the platform for it so I think what I’ll do is probably three and then there should be

One here like this and then one two three and then one two three four five right one two three two two this way one two three and then one two three four five yeah so I’m making the platform where all the players will have to retreat to to bank their cards

And I think it should be kind of fancy I’m trying to stick to the theme of the season for the TCG which is the cyan and gray sort of coloration I think it’ll look nice when I’m done with it did I miss one there yep okay so one two

Three another one there and then one two three Perfect all right so this is the outline I think on the outside of this I might need to put a little bit I will have to put a little bit more grass here to round it off a little bit the grass

Part doesn’t need to be round but it needs to be sort of easily accessible to players who are coming to deposit over here I guess they could reach up and above by the way each player will have to label their shelter just so that things are not sort of mixed up halfway

Through the game I need a lot of stairs I do not have a lot of quartz uh let’s go and get as many as we can I think I have another one in here I do so this will be like this and then I’m gonna go all the way around

You know I’ll have to make a trip back to my um back to my card building base to grab some more materials anyway guys have a clever name for um this this entire project or this game please let me know I’ve racked my brain trying to come up with something clever I don’t

Know call it I really don’t I think Hunger Games sure um TCG has to be in there I guess oh did I bring enough grass again I’m not trying to make this a perfect circle here but oh this is not good either this

Is not a good a good spot to be in if you come if you’re on this side I guess it’s not that bad not that bad I think I think if I do that it’s probably fine let’s do one more there and one more there

That should be I hate the fact that this is all even though but it’s it’s okay it’s okay we’ll get over it yeah this is fine okay so like I said if you have any clever names of what to call this I am all ears let’s surround the Middle with these guys

Right there chiseled whatever they’re called that was a mistake let me take that right there then we’ll put some in the corners here again sticking with the theme the shop is kind of this color has these blocks involved doesn’t have any pillars I don’t think I don’t think I

Put pillars in the shop did I so I’m not going to use pillars um I’ll probably need some slabs but for now I think I need more stairs and I use smooth stairs just because it Blends really nicely now can I do here let me see if I do something like this

Okay I like that I had a rough outline in my creative world of what I wanted it to look like and I think this is the right path for it keep going like that I thought about filling these little things with water too but I don’t think that’s that blue

Would be too much of a contrast I’ll try it but I don’t think I’m gonna like how that looks okay oh so far so good so now I think we got to bring some did I bring cyan concrete because I think we got to bring some cyan concrete

Into this build yes I did of course I did I think maybe a straight line in the four core I get faces not Corner these are like the faces of the square all right now we want this to be exposed right here on this side because these are exposed

So I could do oh stairs won’t work will they because it’ll kind of connect yeah we don’t want that to Connected on that side this is where I need the slabs I believe so let’s go and try to make some slabs here um one two three four five I

Don’t know how many I’ll make or a need but I’ll make 10 of them so we’ll put slabs in each one of these good next let’s see more stairs I think let’s try stair stair um can I do a stair here how does that look oh no I can’t I can’t okay

Okay that’s fine because it connects on one side so so maybe I’ll do oh what if I did stairs like this ah no that still connects of course it does here here’s here’s my idea if I do that and if I do this oh and then I’ll just fill these guys

With the slabs and I think that’ll be all right by the way the room below here is the starting room so that’s where people will start and there will be a bubble elevator that could pop up um so that I’ll make the announcement out here but if they get killed there is

A bed down there you respawn down there and you pop right up it’s not like get killed and you’re eliminated no you get killed you can get back out there and collect more cards so yeah you’re never out of the game so how did I do this I’m gonna go like this three

Like that like this and like that I think that’s how it’s done yeah I don’t think the water is going to look very good but I like ice like I mentioned I will try it I don’t need a whole lot more of these either I don’t think

That looks like a pretty epic starting Circle starting platform I should say not really a circle I don’t there’s one thing you know what hold on a second hold on a second do I have more of these I do if we just eliminate the middle ones here a little bit more detail

It looks very exclusive and that’s what I want it to feel like an exclusive event at only a select number of Hermits can participate in and by select I mean the ones that sign up for it oh I do like that okay do I I don’t even have a bucket on

Me I’m gonna go get a bucket I don’t suspect it will look very good with water but I’ll try it I don’t know if I even want I’ll try it I’ll try it uh this way oh it looks pretty cool from a distance too

By the way then when this is done we can totally repurpose it to have just regular Hunger Games PVP matches I will more than more than happily remove all the cards from the barrels and add weapons and armors and stuff and I think that’ll be kind of cool too but in the

Meantime it’s going to start as a TCG event okay so the that’s right I was gonna try the water um I don’t think I’m gonna like this but that’s okay let’s just try it just for the sake of trying it you never know until you try right so I was thinking like here

For instance let’s just do one section and see what that looks like do I can I this is not like a infinite spring oh it is an infinite spring nice okay perfect that was a little bit too not Infinity okay I guess I have to get back on the tree here

Over this way no I it kind of represents the island right because there’s water and that could be like your Island but I don’t know if I like that should we try the whole thing or am I just gonna this could be a huge waste of time

You know what let’s give it a shot let’s give it a shot maybe down the road we make like a lava based one so then this will have a theme what do you guys think does it kind of suit the theme should I put more water

I don’t think more water is something I even want to try but I I don’t hate it and like I said it does kind of fit the it’s an island right so this could represent the island this represents the water around it so maybe we’ll stick

With this maybe we won’t in the meantime though let’s make the bubble elevator I don’t really know what I’m gonna do for down here but I do know that I need a bubble elevator this goes all the way to the nether where I think there’s a no I didn’t

Build a fancy tunnel but there is a small tunnel um already in the nether here so if I do this right we’re gonna have to have let’s for now for now let’s just have something like this in the middle here so when players enter there’s gonna be beds and storage on one

Side there’s going to be signs with the instructions on the other side then there’s going to be this bubble elevator in the middle so if we do glass for example like this and you can enter from the sides right of course dang it come on dang It Bobby

Three one two three bubble elevator activated not quite the next thing we gotta do is uh fly up there and drop water down I hope I didn’t Overlook anything and the reason I’m making this now is because I’m not sure about how it’ll look and I think the bubble elevator will will kind

Of determine what the overall look is gonna be I’m thinking oh I’m gonna get rid of all that dirt and stuff as well anyways but I’m thinking it’s gonna be something that looks in the theme of what’s up here another thing I didn’t realize is I gotta have some some sort

Of a hatch going down into there because once that bubble elevator is activated I can’t get back in so um hmm let’s see maybe over here I’ll put like an employees only door or something authorized personnel only I think that’ll be kind of cool so let’s go let’s go this way okay perfect

This should work and I’ll just do uh for now we’ll leave it open like this but I’ll just do a um just some ladders I think coming out of there I might even relocate it to like one of these sections we’ll see in the meantime though let’s

Put some some torches up so we’re not in complete darkness down here perfect now I just have to grow some kelp I learned this from XP not long ago technically I already knew about it but I just forgot about it because I don’t make a lot of bubble elevators so it

Should be working now right oh that’s a problem that is a problem okay let’s go back down so we might have to Get caught here every time guess we could change it to glass blocks and only have one entrance so let’s say we did glass blocks all around there’s only one entrance from this side which is the side you would need it on because that’s where you spawn in

And then you just go straight in or maybe we just leave it like that and if people get trapped and drown then that’s their problem oh man that’d be terrible all right so how the heck am I gonna make this interior area note I realized I should try actually

Instead of these shroom lights is the sea lanterns the sea lanterns they’ll have a slightly different shade of the cyan so I’m thinking I’m thinking maybe you either match it exactly or you go completely opposite and use room lights but we’ll see we’ll see I might

Still oh yeah I can’t go down through there I might still try that okay I’ve got a uh a rough outline of what it’s gonna be I don’t think it’s too detailed I mean it’s kind of based on the one up above but it’s not as detailed as the

One up above which is fine though because there’s going to be many many more things here including beds of which I only have one at the time up or at the moment I think I’ll probably do like cyan beds and stuff and then of course these walls are going to be decorated

And so is the ceiling eventually so it’s gonna look like a nice room I just don’t know is there wall there still aren’t any quartz walls are there smooth quartz block of Quartz of course not that would have been very very handy so I’m not sure exactly what to use for the

Pillars here I would have loved to have pillars and then a wall afterwards to kind of make it look indented but that is not something I will be dealing with so we’ll have to think of something else I’m sure it’ll be great in the end um the signs will be here okay so

Players come in beds can be in the back here signs can be on this side and then probably the signs meaning the rules and then probably some more beds or chests or something on this side I’m not sure there’s another thing you can suggest not only do I need a name suggestion but

What else can I put in this room that will be useful because technically I can do the beds and chests in one area of this is kind of maybe I’ll do bunk beds oh that’d be kind of cool actually that would be kind of cool if I stuck the beds like this

Come on what the that was weird oh I guess I was using the wrong block like that and hmm and maybe with some iron pressure plates hold not pressure plate sorry iron trap doors I think you can get one then you’d have to put the trap doors

Here too but the trap doors here three so you can get six beds here which is more than enough you really only need one this is just for respawning so that might be a cool little feature and then you’ll have the middle column completely open and clear oh I like that idea

I’ve also been thinking about hiding not only cards inside these chests but also weapons so you everybody starts with a specific set of armor or no armor and a weapon and then you can find weapons as you go so you can deal more damage to your opponents and possibly steal more

Of their cards what do you guys think about that lots to chew on let me take hmm we do cyan beds that is a possibility I should not have brought this much stuff back with me okay the kelp can stay the uh Shield can stay in weapons

Technically armor and the bone meal can stay with the crops the stone can stay just making all kinds of room here guys and then I have dirt on me too I do not need and I don’t need any more Grass either okay so let’s take

A stack of cyan wool we’ll take a stack of white well not a stack but enough to make a bunch of beds then we’ll take some logs oh the editable signs we’ll take some logs those are for the beds now I need probably I don’t know how much iron I’ll need but

I imagine I’ll just take a half a stack of iron that might be hey do I have any more pressure plates here anywhere where did I see pressure plates the other day find me at the Museum wait find what at the Museum you guys shut up I gotta go check something out

Get replaced all the stone all the dirt that’s all gonna get replaced by some cool stuff you got the beds back here the bunk beds like I was mentioning the ones up here don’t actually work though it’s too far away it won’t reset the spawn like it’s really weird should shouldn’t it

It always says you may not rest now bed is too far away I don’t know why that is even though if you’re jumping it doesn’t matter you really only need one for respawning purposes but we’ve got four clickable beds I realize now I do need to make some shulkers or something for

People to store their stuff in so I might turn like these three and these three maybe even the first four on each side into white shelters where people can store their stuff for the match we’ll see I’ll think about that but yeah I’ve got this here for something maybe

So you got to be really careful and hopefully do it and deposit your cards before you’re murdered cards deposited back out we go I think it’ll be a lot of fun and I think maybe I’m thinking maybe 20 min maybe 15 minutes something like that is a good length of time anyway I
