NEW SWIFT SNEAK ENCHANTMENT: How To Get! – Minecraft 1.19 Wild Update

Hey guys what’s up j-wisp here and today i’ve got a super exciting video for you because today we’re talking about the brand new swift sneak enchantment now if you don’t know mojing just released a brand new snapshot along with ancient cities the warden and some new blocks we

Also have a brand new enchantment called swift sneak so today let’s talk about what is this enchantment what is it used for and also how can we obtain this enchantment because we can’t get it with an enchantment table like a normal enchantment so let’s get into today’s

Video because i’m super excited so first let’s discuss the basics of this enchantment and also some changes to it coming in the future so with swift sneak we have three separate levels we have swift sneak 1 swift sneak 2 and swift sneak 3 and just like the name implies

When this enchantment is applied to your armor when sneaking you will go much much faster now this is going to come in really valuable in two separate places one when fighting the warden the warden is a blind boss and cannot see you but it can hear you so

One of the ways you can avoid the warden is by sneaking and the swift sneak enchantment will allow you to sneak much faster and get away and move around the warden now swift sneak the enchantment can only be applied to boots in the game currently now there’s a slight issue

With this you have swift sneak you cannot use soul speed you cannot use frost walker and you cannot use depth strider now since boots in minecraft already have so many unique enchantments that can only be applied to them mojing has decided to actually change things up

A bit and will be allowing sneak to be added to leggings instead of boots so pretty soon in the next couple snapshots we can probably expect that which will be really exciting because boots already get so many unique and cool enchantments and leggings don’t really you know have any unique enchantments of their

Own does it make more sense for sneak to be on boots definitely but you know i’m still cool with it being allowed to be uh you know applied to leggings now here’s the thing like if i wanted to i could apply swoop sneak to my chest plate but

As you can see i’m not sneaking not sneaking very fast we can do the same thing with the leggings we give it swift sneak 3 and nothing but if we decide to apply swift sneak 3 to boots things get interesting you can see that my sneaking speed is so much faster so

For comparison no swift sneak and then swift sneak 3 much much faster especially if i get a sprinting start and then decide to sneak it seems like it’s a little bit faster i’m not sure if it’s actually faster or if it’s just my increased fov that makes it feel faster

But i don’t know i think it’s faster if i get a little running start just like when you’re in creative and you decide to run before flying and you go a little bit faster or it could just be the change in fov so like i mentioned you

Can’t just get swift sneak from an enchantment table unfortunately you can only find it in one place and that one place is the brand new ancient city which can be found underground so let’s head there yo here we have it the brand new ancient city these things are absolutely

Gigantic i mean mojing said they were going to be bigger than bastions but i didn’t expect it to be a literal like full-sized procedurally generated city which is just absolutely awesome now the reason we’re here is because you can only find swift sneak in chests within ancient cities now if we look around

Ancient cities have lots of really cool things we have deep slate we have skulk veins we have skulk blocks everywhere and one of the interesting thing about different scope blocks is they will actually drop xp when mined but nevertheless we have this we have more new blocks like the reinforced deep

Slate this weird portal looking thing that we’re unsure about but what we’re looking for is chests so if we fly around we’ll see that every now and then there are chests with different blocks we have candles we have skulks we’re making noises so we have to be careful not to uh

And there we go we accidentally set off the skulk streaker and we have a warden but thankfully we’re in creative so you know when looking for ancient cities and you know exploring them to look for chests be careful you want to be sneaking because you don’t want to

Make noise the warden is seriously like a hard boss i’ve done some tests prot 4 netherright sharpness 5 netherright sword and it’s still an incredibly hard battle you know we have some more chests here mostly skulk blocks potions candles but occasionally you will get lucky and

You can find yourself a swift sneak book now swift sneak does come in three levels again we have one two and three and you know it’s still a fairly low chance of spawning it still does spawn but you know it’s not going to be in every chest

I’ve you know i’ve looked through a few ancient cities and it seems like in every ancient city i can at least find one maybe two chests with swift sneak the interesting thing though is i’ve only found swift sneak three books i haven’t found swift sneak one or two i’m not sure if

That’s just a thing because it’s a snapshot you know we also have cool new blocks like the skeleton skull off topic but yeah i’m not sure why that is maybe it’s just my luck oh another sweet i’m not sure what’s up with that but if we keep looking around boom swift sneak three

Again now like i said you’ll have plenty of opportunities for xp around here because not only are there or veins around that you can mine but you can also mine the different skulk blocks with a hoe and get xp and also you can decide to take on the

Warden if you want to but the warden is gonna be uh gonna be uh pretty dangerous he hears the sound of the baton he wants to take him on but yeah that’s how you can get the new swift sneak three book now it’s not as easy as it sounds so let’s

Talk about this now ancient cities in minecraft are extremely rare i mean it’s giant there’s lots of good loot there’s lots of unique and cool blocks it’s not gonna be something that you can find easily and so it’s going to be very hard to find one and you can’t just travel the

Overworld looking for one of these because you have to be underground so if i were you i wouldn’t specifically look for an ancient city what i would do is just go about your day playing minecraft normally and if you run across an ancient city cool but if not you know it

Happens if you’re really struggling though or really want one you can use the locate command and locate the ancient city and it’ll show you the nearest ancient city usually it’s a few thousand blocks for me they seem to be pretty dang rare and uh you know but it’s definitely it’s definitely worth it

I was trying to just purely find one in survival and it was taking me hours and i still hadn’t found one and then i remembered about the locate command and i was trying to locate the deep dark but instead you have to locate ancient city now there’s still some secrets we don’t

Have you know we haven’t discovered about this place we still don’t know a lot about these reinforced deep slate blocks why is there this giant portal looking thing but you know that’s not the point of this video the point of this video is to talk about swift sneak so

That’s how you can get the enchantment that’s what it’s used for i’m super excited for the enchantment not only because it’s gonna help me fight the wither but also because you know i like to play minecraft with friends on servers and i know that having swift

Sneak will help me sneak up on them or run away from them much faster because when we sneak our name tags are hidden which means people can’t see us and swift sneak will allow us to sneak much much faster now i can’t actually tell but i feel like sneaking seems a little slower

I don’t know maybe it’s just me sneak seems so slow maybe i’m just used to swift sneak but yeah it’s a really useful new enchantment and i’m super super glad that we’re gonna be able to put it on leggings soon instead of boots because boots you know boots already get

Their cool own unique enchantments leggings leggings are kind of left out i feel like they’re just kind of like meh like you know you can enchant them with any normal enchantments nothing special but now now they get swift but anyways guys that is all for today’s video i
