Normally we normally don’t start in uh in like these spawn areas because they’re normally a little drab but the ftb team man they have outdone themselves they have this starting area if you’re beautiful yeah if you join an ocean block server this is how it starts there were little signs all over that

Said to create your island do slash ftb team islands create but i just i don’t know if i ever want to leave no i feel like this should be our island man look at this barbecues we’ve got actual barbecues got ice coolers uh we’ve got this lovely i’m

Assuming it’s a terracotta floor yeah yeah it’s it’s gorgeous it’s fantastic right i love it alas nick as much as we would like to stay we do have to do fdb team islands create so we start out in this mod pack on our own abandoned you know desolate

My favorite thing is looking at photos you know somebody’ll be like a greek island somewhere right and then you look at the photo and it’s the bluest blue imaginable and then if you go to that same spot on google earth the water is like a muddy blue brown

It looks like all of the water right yeah yeah 100 yeah i mean it’s the filters man just saying um it’s not the filtered water of the sea unfortunately yeah it’s people are just the filters yeah just photoshopping it right yeah they are unfortunately although there are some places where i

Think it does look like that like i think i think like mauritius and like some other places like are really nice um i just love that we started in like a five-star like villa pool right and then we had to come to the like the we’ve gone from like the best one on

Expedia isaac to like the sort by lowest price oh it’s like airbnb the pictures versus reality yeah outside surrounded by what look like pirate ships there’s like the neighbors over there with their campfire and that like skeleton of a tree oh yeah but we’ve i think actually gotten pretty

So that’s new i also didn’t spawn near one of these like giant phallic towers yeah i was gonna ask you about that what is that i think that that is gonna have mobs in it right it’s a mob phallus i believe so yes okay right the only reason i think that is

That i’m fairly certain there’s a quest and also you might want to change your quest keybinds and ftp ultimate keybinds out of the gate here but i’m pretty sure there’s a quest that mentions uh depending on your spawn it might be better it’s talking about making a mob farm it says um

If you respond near an ocean monument or a slime island you might not be able to get as many mobs to spawn so i think for us it’s going to be harder to get like a mob spawner going because of the right that there are going to be mobs spawning over there

The amount of mobs that we can spawn locally i see i see okay that’s um that’s fine i guess and here we go is the quests um weirdly the pack has like maybe it’s because you changed this and sent me settings but uh here we go so my

My my quest is the grave key here we go let’s have a look man let’s uh oh yeah let’s have a dive into what this is all about like look at it do you guys claim the quests as well and uh like i’ve completed the getting word quest do we

Toys i used to do this nick a lot of the quests in this pack have a random reward oh so if you click on the quest again the chest actually says random reward oh it does and there’s quite a few of those as we go throughout the pack and so we

Get random things you got uh some spikes then i got fire seeds from mystical agriculture a lot of random random stuff here man okay this is very exciting man this is this is good here we go i’m just looking through okay look at this there’s these pumps and these sluices

So this has a little bit of a different take to the normal start also look at this we’re getting freaking slime sorry i know they’re having a great time they’re having a little dip in the pool i would love to see one of those slimes like jump back onto land and then shake

Quest along here is the basic resources quest and you’ll see as a reward here we get the ulta miner trinket so basically as soon as we get eight cobble eight gravel eight dirt eight sand and eight dust we can then get unlocked right i see man they’ve got they’ve got their

We go that’ll do yeah so if you press that you’ll see you have the trinkets menu you can click to add and then after you have so you take a trinket in your inventory you just right click it that will unlock the trinket for you and

Then in the trinkets menu you can select it okay it makes it oh it’s like yeah okay that’s like a nicer now yeah so now you should be able to alter mine the rest of that tree away to my heart’s content here we go there we go yeah i can see it working
