Hello miners and crafters i’m your host ruby j and today we’re going to be talking about everyone’s favorite hard labor simulator minecraft in the game you can fight zombies build fortresses chase pigs mine for resources and do well pretty much anything you can imagine but it wasn’t always that way Let’s see what changed while minecraft was being crafted on what they got right with I minecraft In minecraft the name of the game tells you everything you need to know about it you mine and you craft and you also shoot arrows at skeletons but that last part wouldn’t fit on the poster but seriously minecraft did have a couple different unused names before it Was released at one point it was called minecraft order of the stone but those extra words were cut because minecraft is just a bit quicker to say but hey if you like the old name don’t worry the order of the stone was used again for a group of adventurers in Story mode after all you never throw something away in minecraft you just build it into something new the very first name considered for minecraft was the super duper boring sounding cave game which makes the super fun video games sound like a lesson in geology instead Up next steve one of the default player skins in the game alongside alex and in the earliest releases of the game he was the only one he also had a beard but people kept getting that blocky beard confused for a huge creepy smile so they fixed the Situation by giving him a clean shaven look hmm i wonder if his barber had to use diamond scissors to get that thing off and steve isn’t the only one who changed during the development of the game take the ocelots and guests for example originally they were supposed to have The same voice actor the music composer’s cat the cat provided all of the sounds for the scary ghast but when it was time to record the ocelot noises the kitty caught a case of stage fright so they ended up using the sound of a real ocelot roar instead Great job on the ghast kitty but when it comes to the ocelot i’m glad they went with a professional oh what a scaredy cat in minecraft you can put down a water block or a lava block and it’ll fill a small area with ice-cold agua or red-hot magma But it wasn’t always this way in an earlier version of the game one of those blocks wouldn’t just fill a small area it flooded the whole map but they eventually fixed that bug because let’s face it the only characters in minecraft who wish we could flood the game that easily are the fish And finally creepers ugh why’d it have to be creepers in early versions of minecraft creepers were actually supposed to be pigs while designing the pigs the game’s creator accidentally got the height and width all wrong and the pigs ended up all stretched out and well creepy ugh now that’s a nightmare that’s fit For the nether but what could have been a horrible mistake ended up leading to two of the best mobs in the game making minecraft took a lot of work especially when you consider that most of it was done by one person but thanks to all his hard work and the Team at mojang we got one of the craftiest games out there and to think it could have been called cave game we really dodged an arrow with that one Thanks for watching what they got right what should i talk about next let me know below with a comment then click up there to subscribe to dreamworks tv for new videos every single day there’s solid gold Video Information
