This is oh my gosh it is such a relief for me as someone who’s a content creator to finally have spectator mode in Minecraft I am so hot happy if you need an update Minecraft Java Edition has had four different game modes for a very long time obviously creative and

Survival modes also Adventure Mode which is a sort of like toned down version of survival mode where you can only break specific blocks that map makers allow you to break and a fourth mode which is spectator mode oh my gosh uh this mode allows you to

Not have a body and fly through the world clip through walls and it is the best for finding things in Minecraft this mode was lacking and did not exist on Bedrock Edition until now now the weird thing is is that you know you kind of think okay well I know how this works

Game mode spectator wait a second why isn’t it uh Auto completing with my spectator that’s because they’ve like hidden it weirdly behind game mode six which I’m like what other way you’ve had three game modes before this right Adventure creative default and survival wait what the heck

Is default game mode what what is this this is weird default I don’t know what the heck game mode that is but survival so I guess that’s number four what’s five what is game mode five what does that do oh my gosh wait a second I am in

A wait am I in a new game mode no I don’t think so did it do anything thing you set your game mode to default okay what is game mode three not five and six they all work is there a game mode seven what on Earth is this invalid anyway

Okay so it’s game mode six uh that you have to use now there’s some weird bugs uh currently with it uh one of which is that if you enter in to Game Mode six spectator mode while you’re already in survival mode uh things get really weird so I’m gonna switch into creative mode

To kind of reset everything then switch into survival mode so here I am with hearts and health and I can break blocks over time and then I’m switching into spectator mode and I can’t fly I can sort of Crouch if I hit space it doesn’t

Do anything oh oh it looks like I I go up like a half pixel look oh what am I doing I’m barely flying I can still clip through stuff but I’m really just like stuck on this plane so that’s just a weird bug so let’s switch back into

Creative and then if I go into game mode 6 from creative oh I have to be flying okay I have to be flying in creative mode so let’s start flying now I have all the things now go into there we go now I can do everything now what’s crazy

Is that this isn’t just part of the Minecraft preview so this current version of this uh Minecraft that I’m playing on is 1.19.0.27 so down there in the corner you can see that clear as day but we can switch into the Minecraft that’s released right now and get a few of

These features so here we are in Minecraft 1.18.30 and we can do very similar stuff and this is what is released right now like anyone can go get that like this is the version so here I am flying around in creative mode and if I do the same thing game mode six bam

I have weirdly health and and hunger back but I’m still flying and now I can clip through stuff What is this what on Earth is this weird game mode what happens do I die in this if I like and when I’m in the floor my oxygen starts to deplete can I click anything is there any sound I feel like there’s no sound right now let’s switch

Back into creative mode because this is just okay yes we have we have sound okay switching from that back into this okay let’s wait let’s see do I die if I lose all my my oxygen bubbles okay here we go oh no no I don’t oh nothing happens oh

This is weird the other big difference is that you can’t see nearly as much as you can in the preview so like all the caves and stuff they won’t render until you get close by them where in the other version and let’s switch back over and this version back in the Minecraft

Preview you get to see everything all at once under the ground this I cannot tell you how excited I am about this mostly because I do something like uh okay so let’s locate an ancient city and okay now let’s teleport by the way it’s still not clickable but you know I got my

Workarounds here as you just type this stuff in like you know while it’s still there the other thing is once you start a command like all that’s got like okay great I’m glad I saw the coordinate for half a second uh so I start to type

Without a slash and then I can add the slash back teleport whoops I added a period in front of that teleport over to that area and I should be oh my gosh this is amazing I can see the ancient city I can find the ancient city looking for things

Like biomes before was like impossible oh my gosh this is the game changer now there are definitely some features from the Java Edition that are missing I mean it’s all right it’s still buggy so they haven’t even like figured it all yet out yet uh one of which is on Java Edition

You can scroll your mouse wheel forward and you’ll actually move faster in uh this mode you can Sprint in this mode that’s how I was able to move faster just then because I can Sprint forward uh to move faster but I cannot use is this two ancient cities like right next

Is that what’s going on here or is this like a Contin it is wait what see I would have never known that if it were not for uh having a spectator mode like I wouldn’t have been able to tell that there was another city there before you

Had to like break through the block Box by hand no thank you I’m not doing that uh that is that is just ridiculous this is awesome a little use feature on Java Edition is there is a hotkey where you can highlight players and it will use the spectral like highlight tool to add

A border around players and this is great when you are like spectating PVP matches and that sort of thing and that highlight also will respect if they’re in a team so if they’re say on Blue Team the Highlight will turn blue that is another feature that I would absolutely

Love to see come to the Bedrock edition of the game and finally now that we are getting closer to spectator mode does that mean that hardcore mode in Minecraft Bedrock Edition is just around the corner and follow my logic here the reason why I feel like that could be

True is a her core mode has been missing from Bedrock Edition for a long time and because it’s like everybody loves that feature everybody like it’s such a like oh my God DanTDM did a crazy hardcore world forever um I feel like Bedrock players would love that look at these weird blocks

Right here that are just like what are these blocks so weirdest generation I’ve ever seen what are you there’s a little air pocket that’s crazy uh okay so the other reason that I feel like Bedrock would is getting hardcore mode kind of soon is because on Java Edition

Here’s what happens you die in your hardcore world and then you go into spectator mode so that you cannot touch or interact with any of the things in the world you can only just look at your world so if spectator mode is officially coming to better awkward obviously seems

Like it is does that mean that we’re getting hardcore mode I hope so because I don’t understand why that is a Java only game mode uh that should exist on Bedrock for now I am just absolutely happy that we have spectator mode in Minecraft there’s a ton of things that I

Feel like need to be worked out with parody between the two versions of Minecraft but this is a step in the right direction and truly truly uh desired by me someone who makes content and will use spectator mode look at this I would have never found this in Bedrock

Edition if it weren’t for spectator mode uh so I I I’m just so so so thankful that we have this now and that they are improving it one other weird thing in uh spectator mode here is uh your player you’ll be seen still in uh Java Edition
