Hello everyone today we are taking a look at potion brewing and i have made a little little contraption to help brewing all the potions you ever want to need that is if you have the ingredients to it because this one is big and you’re gonna need a steady supply of all

These ingredients to be able to use it properly and that said you could also use it even if you skip some of the ingredients the thing is controlled by this book where the first page is instruction page or something like that and then you choose which potion

You are going to leave as you see there is empty slots here there are two of them and so you there are 14 slots total and we only use 12 so if mojang would like to add oceans in the future this machine can handle them hopefully and there’s a broom stand

Down here which will do the brewing it’s just here where the oceans end up and you have a choice of making one set of potions you can see it start to brew or you can switch it to outer brewing which means that it will continue to brew whatever

Potion you have in this book until this chest fills up completely and then it will stop and apparently something went wrong oh i had spare another watch system here we go and this machine also can make potions with modifiers such as extended splash strengthening lingering and corrupt and it also have

A protection system back here that make it so that if you’re trying to brew a potion that cannot have the modifier it will cut it off even if you have it on here it will not try to brew it so all we need to do now is

Show you guys how to build this and in advanced i wanna apologize for the length of this video it’s gonna be almost an hour i think 15 minutes something like that so let’s get to building okay so a fresh new empty world to build in and this is pretty much

The stuff you need to build the machine and some of them might not be totally correct in numbers uh redstone dust for example might be half a stack too much or something building blocks this should be more than enough and you don’t need to use wool any solid block will do

And i’m gonna start off by placing down the left turn and five blocks up and on electron we are going to place a book which contains 15 pages and this is important that it has 15 pages what it says on the pages is not important but the first page can be totally blank

Or you can use it as a instruction page for how to use the machine and the rest of the pages i have used to name the potions with the exception of two slots which are empty and can be used for future potions if mojang is gonna add some in the future who knows

Anyway we’re going to place the book on the left turn and we are going to place a block behind it and this block is gonna be part of the wall that surrounds the machine so you don’t see it if you like so this block can be whatever you plan on building the

All out of as long as it is a solid block and we’re gonna go 17 blocks out so 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17. and i’m going to make a a pattern like this let’s make this the simplest way

Do it like that add one there and we are going to grab comparators and redstone dust and a torch comparator on subtract mode just there a comparator there and we’re going to go just all the way down here and let’s start at this place dust character dust comparator and as you can see

This build is quite repetitive and it’s gonna be that further along as well but then again many redstone machines are repetitive in building we are going to need sticky pistons on top of each of these torches like so and we are going to need five more like so and a a6

Right there torches on those as well distance on top of the torches like so and if i now change page in the book you can see that according to which page we are on it will push up one of these and going to need some blocks going down the length of this

Like so get dust on top and i’m going to need a repeater right there and a repeater right there a block on top of that and then we gonna start building up the brewing part of the system need a brewing stand of course and we are going to place down a just

Like that hopper going into this side of the just a hopper into that brewing stand on top another two hoppers on top and another two hoppers going in the side like so and you are going to need a block right there lock like so a repeater side there

And what we are building right now is a sensationally a item sorter with an extra torch there and this is gonna block this hopper from filling the brewing stand with bottles but it doesn’t need to have them and then we need something that i apparently don’t have in my inventory observer

Watching this comparator with a sticky piston on top observer looking that way and you’re going to need another sticky piston facing that way with ain’t no block on top and to keep that quiet i’m going to place a slab on top of that you can also use a carpet and a slab like

So with a repeater on two ticks and this is important that it’s two ticks we’re gonna need a block on the block we’re going to need a lever on that one a button on that one and what this does is that it pushes away the observer from this comparator and that way

You have an on off switch for outer brewing and this when it’s looking at this comparator it will automatically brew a new brew or whatever you have chosen in the book until this chest is filled up and then it will stop but we can disable that if we want to only

Make three potions then you turn that to off and then press this button and it will through the three at a time anyway time to place quite a few droppers this line is going to be as long as the machine itself like so and you’re going to need two single chests

You can use barrels or chalkers if you like and this one i’m also gonna do the same length as the machine and this one is for our storage of water bottles and if you are on a single player world where only you gonna use this machine you might want to make this line

Off as big because then you don’t need to have that many water bottles hanging around but if you are on the multiplayer server where many people is going to use it this water bottle is going to go rather quickly and this one is for your blaze powder which is used as fuel

In the rowing stand so we need a lot of storage for that as well and now we need to grab the droppers place them facing this hopper line like so and wherever there are a target block there should be a dropper like so and the last one here is for

Netherwards so we need or need a need we want a little bit bigger storage for that and also for the turtle master brew which uses total shells which don’t stack so you can only have nine of them in the raw dropper so additional storage is quite good for that as well

Let’s see what else do we need ah of course we need a way to add modifiers to the potions and there are five of those there’s the extended potion to add time along the duration of the mirror there’s splash there’s strengthen there’s lingering and corruption and headlights so we can see

Which one of them are active and then we’re gonna need oh hang on i think i made this yeah i built this wrong this line and that should be there with the torch standing on top of this like so and we are going to do it like this and you can do

This if you like and use repeaters going like this but it’s a lot cheaper to use a block in between and we’re gonna fill that row with repeaters this row with repeaters and a line of blocks like that and add torches like so and then we’re gonna need to have five lines of

Redstone going down to each lever down here like so just like that like so to go down like that like so and now we need quite a lot of redstone dust and we also need repeaters so that the signal strength is good enough and it’s 15 at maximum

Two three four five six seven i can’t count one two three four five six seven eight 9 10 11 12 13 14 and 15. and to make it symmetrical and place the features on the same spot even though that this line is shorter than previous just looks better i think oh i forgot

You need a repeater there like so and on top of this and that we need dust and like so and then we need to link the lingering potion with splash because we need a splash potion to make a fingering potion so you’re gonna have to use

Let’s see if i can find a couple of signs to mark this off splash goes there fingering potion goes there corrupt strength then h in there and extended like so now you can see if i push the fingering both the splash and lingering will turn on and the toilet block moves up

But if i just do splash it splashes on and that’s pretty much the whole machine and at first we need to fix the on off for the system so that we don’t get weird things happening when we don’t want them to and that should be as simple as doing here let’s see

That i guess that should do fine like so what that mean is that when this is on page one none of the target blocks are up so the droppers cannot be powered so even if i press this button to start the brewing nothing happens we also want this machine to be

Kind of bulletproof because as it is right now if you choose a modifier that can’t be used by the potion it will clog up the system and it will break so if you for example brewing regeneration potion and you have the corrupt on it will break the system and this

You have to clear it out by hand to get it started again so to prevent that we are going to add a little bit of redstone on the back so that it is kind of um idiot proof or nitwit proof in my term craft terms and the first thing i’m gonna do is

To mark out where the ingredients to the potion is gonna be and i’m gonna do that by using item frames that’s simple enough like so and let’s see if i can remember in what order these are going to go and i actually don’t want one that is named like so and empty

And i have grouped the ingredients after which modifier they can have to make it a little bit easier to do the redstone and like so that should be right i’m gonna grab see i need one redstone dust i need a gun powder i need a glowstone and you are going to need

A lingering potion and a fermented spider eye like so that should be everything and let’s start to build up the proofing on the back side here it doesn’t take that much you need blocks you need repeaters you need redstone dust that’s pretty much it okay so we need to

Turn off some of the ingredients that cannot be used by some options and we do that by simply grabbing a single torch at chooses which ocean is gonna be road and simply turn off and this one is for the weakness potion so that is also turning off

It’s a little bit special because it turns off the netherwart because we don’t need that when we’re brewing weakness but it also powers the spider fermented spider eye so that it will send out an extra one and we need that because of the how the machine works anyway we need this one

To go over here based on dust and a repeater see this one i think just like that peter peter peter peter like so i can go down like that let’s fight something is fishy yeah this one is not correct to go like that like so i’m going into that so let’s see

Like that and that should be it so whatever lever you pull in the modifying section it should never make a try to make a potion that it can’t do so we have to do next is of course fill this up with ingredients and then we can test it okay so i’ve put some

Sugar and some gum powder and some in other words just for testing for it purposes the some of the ingredients that goes into potion making is not easy to get survival i mean rabbit’s foot is probably the hardest one because you need to kill a lot of rabbits to get a foot

And phantom membranes are a hassle as well you need phantoms to spawn and the turtle shells of course you need to breathe up a lot of turtles to make but they are at least farmable and spider eyes yeah i mean need a spider farm yes

But it can be quite a hassle to do so get all the ingredients and before we can test this i think we are going to need a floor to stand on let’s make it quick and dirty floor like this and usually place stairs in front of this chest

And above you can access it and the rest of the place here you can fill in with the wall if you like i’m not gonna bother right now you can make this a small little room that all you see is your levers and buttons and background chest and the rest is hidden

But before we need we can test this we need to prime the system and to do so we need a stack of place powder or not a stack but you need a couple of them in here we need rest of the hopper to be filled with water bottles this chest needs to have

Water bottles in it and as i said earlier the whole row just up here is for a water bottle and this one is for lace powder so i’m gonna fill up this chance like so and we have extra storage for place powder on the back and to make a

This work and make a potion we need place powder in the burger stand and we need one nether wart in the brewing stand to prime it and if you are going to brew weakness potions you’re going to need to take the other word out and replace it with a fermented spider eye

Like so and then you’re ready to make weakness potions and when you’re done put the netherward back again that’s the only thing you need to think about when doing the potions and we are going to make a swiftness splash potion and we are only doing one batch so and this lever is powered

That server is retracted away from this comparator which means it won’t brew more than one batch and all we need to do is press the button and this should start brewing and i hope i remembered to tell you that you need 22 items in this hopper otherwise i i’m doing that now

And sometimes a step in these kind of builds are very easy so i hope i haven’t forgotten anything important and almost ready you can see that the oceans will disappear out of the brewing stand and a new but another watch will appear and end up down here

And as i said if you have this set to auto then it will continue to blew the group that is in this book and theoretically you could change the brewing recipe there’s a recipe file the brewing is going on but i don’t recommend it because if you change it

At the same time as a brew is finished then it will send out a signal and there might be problems with that yet ingredients in wrong order that’s not anything i recommend i recommend that you put the book to page one and then turn on or off um turn off the out brewing

And choose another potion and then turn it on again of course when you have chosen you need to make and decide if you want outer brewing art thing this button is what triggers the system anyway that’s it for today and i hope that you find this useful and thank you for watching you
