month ago on June 21st PewDiePie uploaded his first minecraft letsplay okay not the first but you get the point originally part of his special week called gaming week this video got a lot Of support prompting him to continue the support he got for each minecraft video that followed led him to continue until eventually minecraft became a permanent series now PewDiePie is literally a Minecraft Channel throughout each episode we follow Felix as he explores it makes new friends along the way Who could forget Jurgen or spend or water sheep or Jurgen number two or Dinnerbone or anyone else it’s a truly entertaining series that caught the attention of the entire Internet as it became more clear that this series was here to stay one person began to speculate about how PewDiePie’s world seed could be reverse engineered he alone sparked a movement in this topic leading to the seed eventually being found ladies and gentlemen today we’re going to be taking a look at how the youtuber dream reverse engineered PewDiePie’s minecraft seed Before we begin I would like to make one thing clear dream did not find PewDiePie seeds single-handedly instead he prompted the creation of a group that together would find the seed it was all a group effort dream just happened to be the one guy who allowed everything to fall into place this Raises a question who exactly is dream dream created his YouTube channel On February 8th 2014 a lot of his videos were based around trapping other players in the Minecraft game-mode the hardcore even from the very beginning Green was a channel of ingenuity he also had a twitch account Where he would often livestream needless to say his channel was very captivating just 5 months after he began his YouTube channel Green achieved the milestone of 1000 subscribers he posted his celebration video on July 13th 2014 which is currently the oldest video still up on his channel it seems not too Long after dreams stopped persistently pursuing YouTube as such he stopped seeing as much Channel group for years his channels growth remained stagnant this doesn’t mean he quit minecraft however dream was an active player on a server called MC PvP as a matter of fact he discovered minecraft by watching Youtubers found his server in May 2015 due to financial issues this server shutdown was announced where would dream go now fortunately for him a new similar server had just been created around the time of the MC PvP shut down one of the admins bad-boy halo started a new server Called Munchie MC this server would gradually revived game modes from MC PvP bad boy halo andreen were working together when bad offered him a staff position on the server Green accepted making him a staff member from beginning he began as an admin then soon became a developer in July 2017 dream announced That he would no longer be Stephan Munchie MC while there were many reasons the biggest one was him not seeing eye to eye with some of the other munchies staff I should note however that he was still on good terms as bad-boy halo at this time he decided that he would begin His own circle dream continued to be an active player in Munchie and eventually he eased his way back into staff we can see that in March 2018 around 10 months after announcing who is no longer on staff dream made a reply on the forums about building a prison map Currently is a manager on July 5th as big minecraft youtuber Skippy was experiencing a massive boost in popularity due to his videos on cursed minecraft dream decided that he himself would make a cursed minecraft video to on this day we see that not only did his channel growth seized her main stagnant But he also gained over a hundred subscribers it was likely around this time when dream decided that he would attempt to pursue YouTube again like most creators dream wasn’t fond of most of his older videos the day after uploading his cursed minecraft video he got rid of some of his videos just 6 Days later over 100,000 views worth of videos were deleted while I don’t know the videos specifically that were moved or privatized I can say what probably happened is that dream was a bit conflicted at first about getting rid of almost all his views in the end he did Also an important thing to note is that dreams channel isn’t monetized so he has never made any money from YouTube by this point dream was attempting to re-establish himself on YouTube one of his next steps would lead his channel skyrocketing in popularity on July 14th dream posted a video titled How to get PewDiePie’s minecraft the world seed he was a little unsure of whether to post it or not but his fans were strongly in favor of him doing so in the video he speculates that it is possible to reverse engineer PewDiePie’s world seed he begins by describing the Vast array of possibilities in Minecraft kind of like this video and that certain landmarks can be utilized to determine a seed one of the biggest problems with his idea was the inconvenient fact that PewDiePie only showed his coordinates two times throughout his entire Minecraft series and at that point he Only noticed one of them despite this dream retraced PewDiePie steps from where he used f3 all the way to outside his mind essentially the video was a call to action encouraging those terrorists enough to help him embark on this ambitious journey the video just blew up on July 16 he reached 7000 subscribers Dream got to 10,000 the following day and then on the very next one 25,000 it would be a little misleading to say that it’s all attributed to the one video however in fact dream was now closer to finding PewDiePie seed and the span of several days than he could have ever imagined On July 17th dream posted a follow-up video called the community almost has PD PI’s Minecraft world seed in this video he explains that he had a ton of messages of people wanting to help the cause at this point PewDiePie had recently uploaded an episode about raiding a woodland man Where he pressed f3 twice while those two button presses weren’t super helpful considering the team had mapped out PewDiePie’s yard already this helped dreams newly founded team and hence dream team anyway the f3 presses solidified the team’s findings in addition the team realized that PewDiePie had opened Maps – to see Monuments this was from the f3 press that dream had not noticed earlier these maps allowed the dream team to narrow down those monument locations despite PewDiePie’s video containing edit cuts the team was also able to map out the coordinates of a desert temple by paying close attention to the Orientation textures of the stone PewDiePie exposed here it’s important to understand blocks go through a cycle of texture changes that rotate based off of their coordinates all the while there was a code looking for the seed this was all absolutely insane using tidbits of information and watching hours of pewdiepies series to Rebuild map the dream team was closer than ever to coming to the solution on July 18th the day after the just mentioned video was posted dream posted a tweet of this video today after the tweets dream officially announced that PewDiePie seed had been found this was it the task that seemed Impossible at the beginning was done in only five days this showed off just how great the community can be when it comes together to work for a single cause one of the members of a dream team coz locked posted a video the same day going in-depth on the specific process of Finding the seed if you want to understand more I recommend you go watch it but actually there is more to the story not that long after dream relief speedy pies world disease PewDiePie posted a new minecraft video where he says he won’t post his world seed until He defeats the ender dragon to avoid spoilers I can only imagine the look of horror on the faces of everyone who worked so intensely on the project some of the brightest finds collaborated together on one of the most ambitious projects in the history of the entire Game only to find out it wouldn’t have been appropriate to spread the seed sure a scammers would be quick to downvote any spoilers on reddit but what about all the work they just put in was it all for not not in fact remember when I mentioned how dream is a manager on Munch EMC well guess what he decided to make up for publicly releasing the seed by creating a museum dedicated to PewDiePie that’s actually where this background footage comes from since then while there has been a bit of backlash against the project as a whole the response has been overwhelmingly in favor of dream After all there wasn’t any way he or his team could have ever known PewDiePie wanted to wait to release his seed dream did all that he could to make up work and even posted this video apologizing the same day he released the seed all in all the tale of dreams thus Far has only begun he is now beginning his massive rise and had this one experience that he can attribute it to so far it’s a story of community and coming together while it’s hard to predict what direction dream will take you following this incident what I can Say is that
