Hello everyone my name is pics Horace and welcome back to the Minecraft Survival Guide you join us here in the work in progress castle of the nether where I’m going to actually head out to the desert we made the nether portal connection to in our last episode because I’ve been busy connecting that Up to our castle kind of nether highway thing we’ve got going on and right now this is all just stone there are better ways of transporting yourself long distances through the nether whether that be ice roads with boats or whether that be mine carts or anything like that There are a few different ways of getting there quicker but for now I figured I would just lay the foundations for a road like this and we can discuss faster nether transport solutions in a future episode we can also discuss exactly where these nether portal connections bring us out because as you Saw in the last episode I’ve made the connection over there right next to that nether fortress I’m really looking forward to doing something with that turning that into some sort of wither skeleton farm in the next little while but I’ve continued on down this passageway over here as you can see this One over there leads us to the village where we found the mending villager who is still tucked away safely over there we might have a go out bringing him back over to our settlement in this episode because I would like to talk about transporting mobs around in today’s Episode but before we do that I’m gonna head over to the desert and we’re going to grab some sand while we’re over here now made a staircase down kind of following the same staircase design we’ve used elsewhere in the nether hub and I think this is looking pretty good So far I still need to bring a few more stone bricks just to pad out the width of this cobblestone no cobblestone this stone brick bridge over here because it goes over some fairly precarious sections just a little bit of a jaunt over some regular nether I can stuff Here nothing too much to worry about but this is the bit that scares the living daylights out of me especially when I haven’t got a fire resistance potion with me so I’m gonna focus on the nether portal in front of me try not to freak out ah there we go we’re good we’re Through and this little section of the nether over here is actually fairly wide open so we don’t need to worry too much about that but now here we are back at the desert temple night is starting to fall now I’m going to collect a little Bit of sand out here and since night is on its way I might stick around to see some mobs area here even though I do have a bear with me and we might we might experience some of the desert mobs that I have not been able to show you before because Deserts have been quite far away when the morning comes we will also head over to the savanna biome over in the distance and I’m going to grab a some acacia wood while I’m there because that is the last wood type that we have not yet collected oh wait no there’s jungle Wood but we’ve got a little bit of jungle wood from shipwrecks and things like that I might also take a quick look around to see if this desert and Savannah are attached to a jungle in any way because I’ve not scouted out the location of a jungle in any kind of Biome finding application or mapping to land it would be really useful to stumble across a jungle at some point there are a lot of things in a jungle that we could potentially look for in this episode including jungle temples now that we’ve got a desert temple checked off the list I’m certain there Will be a jungle temple out there that we can find and explore a lot of the monsters that generate in deserts will be much the same as the ones you are used to by now in fact a desert is often a really good place to go looking for Enderman when you’re looking for ender pearls to fill out your stronghold portal because you can see for miles in deserts it’s usually a wide-open space and you’ll be able to to spot Enderman quite easily if they are dark against the the pale color of the sand but not Only that there are a few mobs which are native to deserts in the first place one of which has just dropped himself into a river over there but there are a few other examples around here instead of zombies deserts generate these mobs called husks which are a variant of Zombie in much the same way that the Drowned are now if this guy comes up from the bottom of the river in time he might actually make it to the surface and I can show you him close-up but it’s a fun fact that much the same way as Zombies convert into drowned if they stay under water for too long husks will convert into zombies if they’re under water for the whole time the idea there is that yep there we go there’s a zombie that’s excellent timing my friend now let’s see if we can take him out with a Bow there we go not worried about the experience right now but yes over there you’ll see a couple more of them the husks are these kind of grayish yellow zombies and husks will pursue in much the same way zombies do but if they hit you they will inflict the hunger debuff And this happens pretty much 100% of the time it’s as though you just ate some rotten flesh basically and the that will only last a few seconds it should probably have worn off yet by now and most of the time the hunger debuff is not something to worry about you just Need to eat a little bit of food afterwards to make sure that your hunger bar replenishes it’s going to take away some of the saturation that you had but that’s just something to bear in mind because having a full hunger bar is pretty much essential to healing up Health so chances are if you’re fighting husks your hunger bar will deplete a little bit faster and your health bar might not recover as quickly husks are essentially meant to be dried out versions of zombies which is why they convert back into regular zombies if they’ve been under water for a little While and one a notable feature of husks is that they do not burn in sunlight so if you’re spending the night in a desert and you sleep for the night you will find yourself when you wake up surrounded by husks if they have generated during the night they will not Disappear during the day except in the kind of conditions that mobs would normally disappear wherein you get a certain distance away from them and they just naturally be spawn so as you can see that husk over there is not doing anything next to our burning skeleton that husk over there is just staying Completely still and is is not burning up at all but that’s super power aside you can pretty much deal with husks the way you would deal with any other kind of critters just attack them they’ll die just the same as any other zombie you’ll also find rabbits out here and rabbits Will spawn in other biomes as well but they are quite easy to spot in deserts despite their camouflage they’ll be hopping around all over the place rabbits come in two sizes there are baby ones and larger ones obviously the the baby ones will eventually grow up into These larger ones and they are quite timid they will run away quite quickly if you come anywhere near them and the best thing to do with these if you want to kill a rabbit is to shoot it with a bow from a distance rabbits will drop rabbit hide which can be converted into Leather if you have four of it and a roll rabbit which can be cooked and used as an ingredient in rabbit stew or just eaten the same way that you eat a cooked chicken or anything like that let’s wander over here into the savanna biome and take a look at one of our As-yet-undiscovered tree types this is acacia wood and the trees will generate in very interesting pans I like acacia woods the way the the acacia trees will generate they’ve got some really nice kind of zigzagging patterns and it’s quite unique compared to the other tree types which will typically just throw Straight much like the other trees you will have encountered acacia trees will drop saplings you only need one sapling to grow an acacia tree so they are nice and easy and the bark is actually really cool considering that it is completely gray on the outside leaving only the Orange end texture exposed and if you want to make bark blocks out of those you end up with one that’s got the log texture on all six phases of the block and it’s a really nice building block it goes especially well with stone if you Want to give this stone a kind of like a worn and cracked approach without using cracked stone bricks or anything like that acacia can often be the way to go it will complement stone structures very well if you’d like to work with a gray color palette you’ll also find Occasional oak trees dotted around the savanna and aside from the unique acacia trees and the warm yellow grass color there isn’t really anything remarkable about savannas right now it looks like this savanna leads out into a desert on the opposite side I am gonna take a quick Scout around here in case there is a jungle nearby that we can take a look at but I know the coordinates of my nether portal and I should be able to get back there nice and easily if I need to on the way we might even run across another Desert temple considering there are quite large deserts around here and the good thing about that is I don’t need to worry too much about making a mess of this desert if I want to gather even more sand there’s so much terrain here that I can gather a little bit of sand From the surface all over this desert and it really doesn’t make much of a difference to the landscape and ultimately if I wanted to mine it all out for sand to use in other projects if I want a huge amount of glass or I want to make an absolute ton of concrete then There are several deserts in this area with nice wide open spaces that we can claim a lot of sand from before it starts to look ugly and it seems like I was right we do have another desert temple over here let’s go and raid this quickly except this time I’m gonna take The pressure plate out leave the TNT down here and set it off before we leave so I’m gonna have to beat a very hasty retreat down here to make sure you don’t get completely blown up but I want you guys to see what happens when you actually trigger one of these traps in Fact what I might do is make a wooden pressure plate so I can throw a an item down onto here once we’ve safely left the area because I really don’t want to lose Oh interesting there’s not necessarily something I want to apply to any of the gear I have but it’s worth Taking anyway just as a curious artifact maybe I’ve covered cursive vanishing in the episode we did about fish King because we ended up getting a fishing rod with cursive vanishing and mending on it so hopefully you guys should know what that is by now and I Don’t need to explain too much about it we’ve got a few emeralds in here a little bit more gunpowder even more emeralds over there fantastic stuff we’ll take the bones with us as well because without a skeleton spawn of the bones will actually be kind of useful Not too bad as far as loot goes okay let’s put the pressure plate down here you’ll notice that pressure plates actually get made in the color of wood you are using so we have a lovely tasteful acacia pressure plate down here and let’s blow this entire place up shall we Right now all I should have to do is take out this block watch it fall down there oh I caught it that was that was lucky all right blue terracotta I am sending you to your doom and boom that is not an explosion you want to be Caught in let’s go down here and survey the damage Wow that made quite a crater folks and I may as well take some of the stone well I’m here I’ll take it it’s all free after all but yeah that’s that’s not an explosion you want to be caught in Regardless of what kind of armor you’ve got at that stage you’re probably going to eat it now allow me to Pillar back up to the top of the desert temple and I think I’ll be on my merry way this my friends is the desert that keeps on giving because there’s a village over Here so let’s take a look at what the villagers have got for us and also let’s take a look at this structure now this kind of sticks out in the current desert village because it is the only structure where you will find a whole lot of cobblestone the rest of the village Houses in the current 1.13 and earlier desert villages some weird generation going on here these will be made out of sandstone oh and the church over there that’s also made out of cobblestone but this is the blacksmith’s house I was telling you about before so this is the Kind of place where we will find ourselves a little bit of treasure there two furnaces outside with nothing much in a little lava pool over here but there’s no wood near enough that it’s going to start burning down you don’t need to worry too much about that and in This chest here we have a couple of iron ingots some apples and some iron armor finding a blacksmith in the early game is usually a pretty good bet because you can always get little pieces of armor here and there you can find yourself with diamonds or obsidian or some you Know occasional rare resources in there you can also find saplings and things like that occasionally and my word this desert village has been really cut up played the terrain generation around here it looks like it’s tried to generate half the house on top of this cliff of sand and the other half down Here that’s actually vaguely charming in a way although the sand looks like it’s about to fall on that cleric oh dear there’s a cartographer and a librarian who sells cursive binding very interesting again cursor binding we have probably covered in previous episodes so I won’t go into it too much Here but Wow yeah terrain generation has done a number on these houses that’s quite impressive actually but I have no real interest in preserving this village it’s quite a way out from the village where we’ve already found a very good set of villagers so let’s mosey on it looks like this Savanna actually fades out into and dark oak forest over there a Plains biome over here and a birch forest over there so it doesn’t look like we’re finding any jungle well that’s not a problem right now we can we can always head back to our house find the alight tread I put In the ender chest and fly around at the local area to see if there are jungles attached on any other sides or we could head back to our mapping tools online and find a jungle biome that way it’s not too much for worry right now just Thought I would take a look around while I’m traveling on foot to see if there was anything we could stumble upon in the meantime and you might be wondering why I’m travelling around on foot instead of using the Alaia extensively because people tend to head out on a loiterer as soon as They’ve got mending and unbreaking on them which I would probably be tempted to do as well but we discovered so much stuff just by traveling around on foot last time that I didn’t really think I would encounter if I had just flown over the top of everything that I’m a bit More tempted to explore my world on foot for now it’s fun to have adventures like this occasionally to get out of the Elektra flying straight to your destination mindset and enjoy the journey but that’s just a personal philosophy thing it’s not something you need to take to heart if you would Rather just get where you want to go really fast another quick stop add another village on the way back punch to book a bit of a good paper trade not too bad see if there’s anything fun in here cartographer of course who are you another cartographer wonderful and Obviously those librarians would end up giving us a few more trades if we unlocked more of them but I don’t have any paper on me right now one last lesson about desert because I don’t think it’ll ever occur to me to cover this again these are dead Bushes if you break them sometimes you get sticks I think you pretty much always get sticks now used to be the only occasionally you would get sticks you can break them as shears like so actually drops the dead bush you can plant that on sand or I think maybe even On dirt as well you can also plant them in plant pots if you want to just so it looks like a a dead bonsai tree or something like that aside from that they really don’t have any other purpose so here we are back at the village where our mending villager is sat there Patiently waiting to be collected in future and let’s talk about moving these guys around because I’ve mentioned a couple of times that we can bring a villager back to our base but I haven’t exactly gone into how the thing we need to understand first is the entities such As these villages or any other mob in the game really can be placed inside of vehicles vehicles in this game are either boats or minecarts and my preferred way of moving villages around has usually been mine carts but mine carts are something that it is kind of Difficult to acquire a great deal of until later game when you have access to a lot of iron which right now I don’t or at least I have a lot of iron but I don’t want to spend it all on mine carts and rails so instead boats are going to Be our weapon of choice now it’s quite easy to get a free-standing villager like this guy if he doesn’t move around too much into a boat all you really need to do is place it down on the block just in front of his feet like so and it will Disappear give me a second yeah so that will happen occasionally boats are a strange thing occasionally you’ll find that when you place them down in a place where they don’t want to go maybe like if they’re next to a block like this or something like that you Will find they disappear so it is usually a good idea to make more than one boat or alternatively place the boat in a spot where it would like to be placed such as on the water there we go we’ve captured ourselves a librarian I wanted to experiment on this nitwit over Here but this librarian will do in fact this librarian has a 20-7 paper trade and an impaling three books so he’s actually quite desirable as well but I wanted to do a quick test before we ended up moving our mending villager just in case this all goes very very Badly so to get the librarian here back onto land I want to very very carefully take the boat out from under him I do not recommend doing this with a sword for reasons we have discussed previously because the sword has a sweeping attack which will damage multiple entities around it which Includes both the boat and the villager and you might end up killing your villager especially if you have a sharpness 5 sword like I do so for maximum safety what we want to do is press f3 and B to turn on the hitboxes for these objects so you can see when You might be hitting the villager and when you’re probably going to be hitting the boat aim for one of the edges of the boat’s hitbox and swipe at it with an X or another tool like that now the villager will bob up and down in the Water for a second and we’ll try and get him back onto dry land there we go fantastic now we just need to oh and now he’s getting scared by their zombie pigman that’s around here and probably a little bit scared that it’s night time as well so how about I Drop myself into a bed for a second and we can sleep through the night there we go now let’s see if we can get him back onto dry land a little easier this time there we go can you stand there for a second while I explain this let’s pop You back in the boat again lovely now a lot of the time entities will have to voluntarily move around to move into the boats or minecarts or whatever you happen to be using to transport them but in this case I think he’s done alright I think it’s actually been relatively easy To put him in there the villagers move around a lot naturally anyway but a lot of the time you can just place a boat near something’s feet and if it’s walking towards you chances are it’s gonna get in the boat anyway and now we can actually get in The boat with him as a passenger like so row ourselves into the nether portal and you’ll notice that the boat doesn’t go through there quite yet because entities with passengers cannot go through these nether portals but as soon as we press f3 and B again and take out that boat The villager got a little bit of damage there but he ended up going through the portal and that is why I wanted to test this out first because I did not want him going through the portal without I did not want our mending villager going through the portal and taking any damage We do not want to lose him we do not want to risk that whatsoever so I’m gonna get another boat really fast just in case something has happened to the other boat on the opposite side list where’s that crafting table there we go let’s grab an oak boat using some of the Planks from this village over here and having a couple of boats for this operation is probably going to be quite useful anyway and here we are on the opposite side of the nether portal and it looks like we have brought two villagers through or this nitwit has Kind of wandered in of his own accord well no worries we’re gonna pop this boat down hopefully the librarian will be able to walk way into it there we go fantastic we’ve made it and now with any luck we should be able to row our way over this bridge And over to the tunnel that I’ve made here the main problem now is whether or not any ghasts are going to be following us looks like we’ve made it as far as the tunnel now the next thing is going to be a little bit more difficult this Is going to be the stage where we have to get the villager into this section of the tunnel boats as you can tell cannot go up full blocks so this is the point where mine carts with rails start to become a little bit more useful because You can have the rail going up a slope and transporting the villager automatically via powered rail through the rest of your tunnel but right here it should be fairly easy to take the boat out and then coax the villager up a block if you have to block him in with Various other materials and things like that if you want to build like a wall of sand that he cannot escape from so he has no choice but to go into that tunnel that’s probably a good idea too alternatively you can plan ahead for stuff like this and make the entire Journey from start to finish a flat road without any kind of ups and downs in it but either way if we place a boat here once that blaze has stopped firing at me there we go we can actually coax him up into the tunnel and continue rowing him back this Way and from here on out the the tunnel is actually pretty well covered so it should be if you’ll excuse the pun plain sailing one thing I absolutely recommend doing is making the corners of your nether tunnels nice and wide if you have to have corners at all try and build in Straight lines if you possibly can and try and avoid any areas like now the fortresses where hostile mobs are going to naturally attack you you should be okay against a zombie pigmen and that kind of thing they will mostly leave you alone but the thing about having wide Corners is that the backs of boats can actually drift backwards into a block and if a villager is a passenger in a boat like that he may end up taking suffocation damage by being stuck inside a block so you do need to pay very close attention to that stuff and be careful If a villager looks like he’s going to drift into a block step out of the boat and widen the corners you will thank yourself for that later likewise if you’re in the open nether and you see any gusts that might be tempted to fire at you step out of the boat and get Several blocks away before you try and fight the ghast because the stray fireball hitting the villager could end in tragedy and you don’t want that to happen to you mending villager at all and as you can see boats will not even go up with the space of a carpets that single pixel of Carpet the height difference is enough to stop boats from traveling up onto that block so it’s a little bit of a tricky proposition now if we can get him onto the carpet and place a boat down again we should be able to get him onto this little row here and then once we Get him into the safety of this little tunnel over here it should be plain sailing again I’m gonna have the other boat ready on my hotbar just in case let’s pop this boat down there yep okay now he’s sinking into the block that is the least good situation oh dear Let’s see if we can get that boat out of there at all yeah there we go okay he’s up onto the block that was bizarre I think I’m probably gonna be better off nudging him up the steps which is something we can do good now let’s Quickly get this boat back on our hot bar and bam get in the boat yes fantastic alright we have made it here with one of our librarians we need to give him the same treatment once again to get him through this portal this time I’ll stand outside Of the area of the portal and just nudge him in like that instead of putting the boat inside the portal first because he took a little bit of damage the last time when he went in if they’re giving you a little bit of trouble by like stepping up against blocks like the Chests we have here then you can always put them back in the boat and give them a nudge in the right direction go on through and he’s made it fantastic stuff now hopefully it isn’t nighttime when we get on the other side of this nether portal fantastic stuff our librarian has Made it here intact now all I need to do is pop down another boat and we can row him up to the farmhouse and find a place to store this guy you will typically find that villagers gravitate towards anything that uses a wooden door so chances are he might actually find this House like an attractive prospect and if night starts to fall he might move in but we could also make some kind of trading house for him look he’s headed to the door already he knows that the door is there he likes my house already well fantastic I’m fine with him moving In here buddy it would be nice to have some roommates and considering you’ve got a pretty decent paper trade 27 is only one away from the minimum amount of people we could trade for an emerald I think he will be a welcomed resident in fact he seems to want to come in through The walls so I’m gonna try and break these blocks around him there we go hop on in buddy welcome welcome along this is our new roommates he’s a librarian with an impaling trade how wonderful and I think we could probably find a a nice easy Corner for you to get stashed away in in fact why not why don’t you kind of hang out over there under the stairs you could be our very own Harry Potter well maybe we will find some slightly more luxurious accommodation for him eventually but for now it’s probably Best to get ourselves some blocks and block him in just to make sure that he’s not going to get attacked or preyed on by any local zombies especially with night falling oh do you want to come upstairs that’ll be great actually the important thing to know is that this Little alcove here for example would not be good for him because if we open this out you can see that I suppose this side wouldn’t be too bad but on this side we have an open that diagonal block where a zombie could actually attack him through The wall zombies can hit villages on the diagonal and zombies will go after villagers at every opportunity they have so it might be worth cozying him away in a place that is surrounded on all sides by full blocks and somewhere that we can barricade him in a little bit better so He will be a little bit safer now he’s in here though and now we’ve actually transported him all this way we might want to maybe put him in a minecart over here that would make for quite a nice little seat for him I reckon so Let’s see if we can do our best to make sure he walks into that minecart and if the minecart is moving slightly if he pushes the minecart he will actually end up sitting inside the minecarts so that might be a good place to start here how About that give that a try buddy see how you feel about it nobody’s decided to walk over the sand I place their hopes well maybe we can get him to head into the minecart eventually in fact we might even be able to lay down some tracks Here and get him into the minecart so I can demonstrate how villagers can actually interact with minecarts that is if he doesn’t just decide to wander out onto the farm and admire the view it’s a nice place isn’t it do you like it I quite like it but I’m not above Breaking down the walls of my house if it means getting you in this minecart my friends so how about you come quietly oh there we go he’s made his way back in come to play with my model train set have you well we’ll pop you in the minecart like So just gonna roll the minecart over the top of him like that and as soon as he moves he should start getting into the minecart go on buddy you know you want to yes there we go okay well let’s stand over here so we can block the minecart a little bit There’s no powered rail here so there’s no risk of him ending up yep there we go fantastic and we can break the rail with the pickaxe like so yep there we go we’ve broken the rail underneath the minecart so that’s actually meant the minecart has come to rest on the floor And we can probably put the rest of our nether brick furniture back in here wonderful we have a little villager over here at our table excellent that turned out really well and hopefully where he is right now no zombies will be able to get him because they can’t come into the House you know once I’ve blocked up the gap in the wall that is there we go now I’ve done this here’s a quick word about difficulty settings because difficulty settings could make all the difference between whether or not this villager lives or dies so let’s hit escape let’s go to my Options and you’ll see that I’m currently playing on Normal difficulty here is a crucial difference between playing on easy and normal difficulty and playing on Hard difficulty if we switch the difficulty to hard zombies could possibly break down the doors to my house if you’re using wooden doors Zombies will knock on them you’ll hear this really loud banging sound the door will start to crack and eventually it can break so if you use wooden doors on a house that contains a villager there is a chance that a zombie might be able to get in and attack that villager so if We were playing on Hard difficulty there would be need to create additional protection for this guy to make sure a zombie couldn’t just walk up and over this set of nether brick stairs and attack him from the side however since we’re playing on normal right now I’m not going to let that happen The zombies won’t be able to break down the doors on normal mode and we should be able to deal with them anyway for the most part when I’m around here I sleep through the night often enough that zombies won’t even be a problem but just On the off chance that they are I should I figured I would make that note to it those of you guys who are playing on hard and I do plan on switching this series to Hard difficulty at some point further down the line but for now I decided I’m probably going to keep Everything on normal so now we have the task of getting this nitwit back for to his village for a start there is a little bit of a cool-down between the times entities can enter portals like this so it’s entirely possible that this nitwit might not be able to head back Through the portal for a couple of minutes but we’re gonna try anyway and come on get on through there no worries he’s just a network we can probably leave him here in the nether doesn’t really matter if anything much happens to him much as I do want to keep them All safe but I think it is time we deal with our friend the mending villager and I’ll be perfectly honest with you guys before I do that I’m going to save my world and I’m going to take a backup because I cannot bear to lose this guy He is actually the most important thing in my world right now I need this mending trade really badly for the rest of my gear I’ve managed to put it so far on my boots my helmet my silk touch pickaxe and the fortune three pickaxe has now been combined with the mending One that I got from the end but I would really love to put mending on some of my other tools and armor and stuff going forward so I cannot bear to lose him and I will protect him by backing up the world if I must Here is a quick lesson on how to back up your world in the single-player menu click on the world you want to backup hit edit and click on make backup like so it will take a couple of seconds to process that and a backup should be made In your backups folder which is stored inside your minecraft folder if you go to edit and then click open backups folder you’ll be able to see the location of that and all of your backups should be stored in there now here we are back in the world and it’s gonna be A very weird exit for this guy I think it’s gonna be easiest to probably bridge out over the Wheatfield here and then drop him down over by the portal maybe even turn this corner around the well so if we take out a couple of blocks from The well here and build into it a little bit we should be fine now I’ve got a silk touch pickaxe so I can probably bring him over from here by breaking through this window like so let’s get all of the glass panes out the way quickly first and we’re gonna have to be Very quick once we put this down if in case he wants to get out so let’s have the boat ready to place him down note looks like he’s gonna cooperate this time around very good let’s take this stuff out the corner so we have a nice Open shot at him get in the boat my friend yes there we go fantastic we’re gonna have to come up with a name for you folks in the comments if you want to name this villager that would be really cool of you if you want to suggest a name for Our mending friend over here there we go let’s just casually row you along the weep field very good drop you down over here and a head for the portal now once again like I said I am going to step out of the boat before he has to go through The portal just to make sure we don’t end up suffocating him a little bit in the Obsidian frame let’s turn hitboxes on to make sure we don’t damage him and whack there we go oh no he’s running away he knows he knows we’ve got plans I managed to catch Him in the boat though before he stepped off the pontoon there we go and a couple of nudges should have him gone through the portal fantastic okay deep breath here comes the hard part I’m not taking any chances with those blazes either I’m rowing him several blocks into the Tunnel before we do anything now let’s see if we can get him out of the oh gosh I hit him then that was a problem heard did not want that to happen okay he should be fine though and it’s worth remembering that please don’t do that please Please don’t do that get down off the ledge okay good as I was saying it’s worth remembering that trading with the villager actually activates a regeneration effect for a few seconds so if we end up doing a couple of trades with this guy for paper and so forth Chances are he will regain his health we could also throw a splash potion of regeneration or a splash potion of healing on him when we get back to our farmstead and we have those potions available to us that will be an acceptable thing to do and we’ll Definitely heal him up but there’s no way of telling what a villages health bar looks like you can’t see his amount of Hearts or anything like that I think he is really scared of some zombie Pigman who are in the area he’s looking very nervously off to one side but Hopefully this should all go okay gonna have to pay very close attention to our environment just in case any ghasts pop out of the woodwork any blazes from that fortress over there managed to bullseye us from a distance okay all good so far it’s very quiet in the nether right now Let’s yep okay we’ve got him we’ve got him onto the carpet fantastic let’s pop another boat down good good this is all going as well as could be expected I am so so nervous considering I’ve already hit him damaged him twice with my ex which is a very very hard hit for a Village to take aim for the corner of the boat like so and II should be no problem to get up the stairs doesn’t look like there’s any zombie pigmen lurking around so he’s not gonna be too scared of them pop him in the boat one more time and Row him up to the portal okay this is our victory lap folks now even before I bring him through I am gonna go and make sure that it is not nighttime over here I do not want this guy getting attacked by zombies when I walk through the Portal okay it looks like it is daytime and daytime for a good few minutes still excellent let’s head back through to the nether I’m gonna play it safe and place a netherrack barrier across here so he shouldn’t be able to walk through any of that and it will row him a little bit Closer to the portal before we finally take him out of the boat like so he hops a little bit to one side but we should be able to get him through the nether portal yes our mending villager has been transferred to the farmstead let’s head through the portal and welcome him to Our community go on up the steps into your new home I think we should be able to call it good in just a few seconds time but I really want to make sure we get this guy under wraps beforehand a few quick nudges through the door and He can be in here having tea with his friend wonderful stuff so we’ll see whether he decides to settle down I might try and get him captured upstairs somewhere yes oh you want to go upstairs very cool so now this guy is here let me quickly brew up one of my yeah let’s Give him an instant health potion from over here I’m gonna put that in there with some gunpowder to turn it into a splash potion we should be able to throw it on him and he will recover any health that he’s lost throughout the process of moving him those two stray axe hits in Particular so it looks like he’s setting up in this corner over here which is gonna be a decent place for him to hang out we’ll try and put a couple of planks around him if we can just to make sure he is nice and blocked in here we could Even put a couple of fences either side and have like a little stall for him I think I like that idea quite a lot and hopefully over here I don’t think there should be any opportunities for zombies to attack him through the corners of blocks but we do need to be very very Careful about that let’s set up a little trading canopy for him we’ve got a couple of wall blocks over here maybe we can put some red wool on top of this like so it’s kind of blocking my chests now but that one up there I don’t think really has anything Important in it right now so we probably move this shelf over and I can still access the one with the potions he’s got a little trading stand it’s not adorable I think that’s pretty cute I like gray one on top there perfect oh so good so good welcome to the family we’ve Got a mending trading villager right here in our house and I think I’m gonna take a selfie with him and call it
