Today i’m going to show you how to build the best and the easiest wool farm in all of minecraft and i’ll make sure i’ll show you how to use it it’s sitting right here let’s jump into the game so here we have it everybody this is the Best wool farm in minecraft it is so easy to build you can make it look really cool you can even have features added to it like having a display light whenever the chest is all the way full versus not having that light on when the Chest is not full this farm can be nice and compact you could put the sheep with only one block separated from each other you could display the sheep right here or you could put their wool below the chest and you can decorate it up into a Nice cool room like this and leave all the mess in the back that’s enough displaying the farm though let’s actually show you how to build it also i do have a material list here for you we have the basic version it does not have any of the features in it this Is your list of materials right here i will not read them out you can just pause the screen to see what you need and this block right here can be any full solid block whereas the version i have built here does have an auto off meaning that once the sheep has been Fully sheared it does turn the shearing system off and it does give you an indicator light letting you know that the system is full these are the extra bits that you will need for that system now these are a per module basis so three modules would need three times This amount three times this amount and you can build as many modules as you like okay now to make things easy for you we’re going to start at the bottom and work our way up which is going to be with the storage system now i’m going to Use a single chest here but feel free to use a double chest going this way or a double chest going this way if you want to i like to use a single chest it’s going to look a little bit better and i don’t really need that much wool most of the Time and we’re going to go ahead and we’re going to face a hopper into the back of that chest right there and we’re going to face another hopper into the back of that uh hopper right there we’re going to click a rail on top of the Hopper by making sure we crouch when we place the rail we’re gonna place a hopper mine cart right there on top of that and we can break out the rail that’s gonna be our collection system now we’re gonna end up needing some grass so what we’re gonna do is we’re Gonna take some grass and build it up one block high here keep in mind that you need to get grass by using a silk touch shovel or silk touch based item and you really only need one piece of grass because it will spread its way around to dirt after that we’re gonna go Ahead we’re gonna circle in this minecart just like this we’re going to put a piece of grass on top of it and then we’re going to circle in this area around here just like that we are going to actually knock out a piece of grass here though we’re going To knock out this guy right here now before we get our sheep in here this is what we’re gonna want to do out the backside the opposite side of the chest we’re gonna hop right in here we’re gonna take a dispenser we’re gonna plop it down we’re gonna take an observer and Make it look right here what this system is doing this observer can see that this block changes because when a sheep eats this grass the observer is going to detect it it’s going to know that it happened it’s going to want to send out a redstone signal we can send that Redstone signal out to this block so sheep eats grass observer sees it observer lights this up with redstone and if we put a piece of redstone on top this will blink one and since this is facing into this dispenser make sure you use a dispenser not a dropper it will Then fire this dispenser off now inside of this dispenser we will need it to have shears so we’re just gonna go ahead and put one in for now but you’ll want to have many of them that way the farm continues to work even when the shears break because they will eventually get Broken now we are going to want to keep our sheepy friend in here so we’re gonna go ahead and put glass block block block and block now why do we have the rings of grass you may wonder because grass spreads and the more places the grass Has to spread from the faster this grass will regrow the sheep will get sheared it will eat the grass when the sheep eats the grass he grows a new wool when he grows that new wool he will get then get it sheared immediately by this dispenser and since we have grass at the Level below the grass right here and above the grass right here it will be more likely that this grass will repopulate allowing these sheep to eat it the sheep can only eat the grass at this level he does not have any other grass around him to eat i have tested This out with two pieces of grass on the ground in here it’s not any faster guys it’s not any faster the sheep will eat as fast as he will eat and you will get the wool accordingly so once we’re at this point we can actually take our Sheet bag in here or in your case you’re probably going to find a sheep and push them in and then once your sheep is in there you can dye him whatever color you want my favorite color happens to be orange so oops we cannot dye him once He’s already eaten the grass so do it before you get him in here mr sheep you’re gonna have to go there we go and then if we really want to keep him in here we can go ahead and we can put that right there to keep a wolf or Something from getting in and eating him and we do want to be able to easily load this with new shears so if you would like to do that you can go ahead you can put a hopper right here and you can easily drop shears in or you could even Put a chest here if you want to and then have it fully loaded with shears ready to go now technically in terms of a fully functional system that’s all you got to do but we want more convenience is key here so let’s add in some convenience i want to know When this chest is full meaning that this thing is no longer producing new wool and i can take the wool out so it will continue to produce that new wool and i would like to lock up the system to reduce lag meaning that if it’s full I don’t want it to try to make any more wool because then i’m going to have redstone going off it’s going to make noises and hey hey look at you get your let’s get this evidence out of here um i want to make sure that it’s not creating any extra lag by having Redstone running that’s not doing anything this is super super easy and also very compact all i need to do is i need to have a comparator looking at this hopper right here it’s going to tell me technically when this hopper is full that means the whole line is full I’m going to break the block beside this i’m going to put a redstone block with a piece of redstone dust here this will subtract out the signal basically meaning that this comparator is not going to turn on until the signal coming from here is stronger than the signal coming from here I’m not i don’t need to go into the details into the weeds too much with this this is a 14 level signal this would be a max 15 level signal if this hopper were all the way full meaning it will actually turn this on and to do That we want to go ahead we want to put a block right here and a torch and then a block and a torch doing that right there means that whenever this turns on this will it will turn this torch off this torch off will turn this torch on And this torch one will light this up meaning that it will no longer get power from the observer i know i went kind of fast there but that’s the chain of events of everything that works so that means that this system will no longer try to activate whenever the storage is Completely full now that’s not all i would like to have an indicator light so i’m going to go ahead and knock all this out all the way down to there i’ll knock all this out and actually i need to knock this out temporarily as well so We’re going to do that so what i need to do right now actually is i need to put a slab right here and the reason why i need to do that is because i need this can i get in here is this real is this really happening I’m literally trying to farm your friend and you’re getting in my way go away i’m gonna put this back down and what i want to happen is whenever this sends a signal out to this not only will it do that little chain with the torches there What i want to happen is i want that signal to go to that redstone dust there and then follow that redstone dust down this way and hit this block what we’re going to do is we’re going to put a redstone lamp right here so whenever this is lit up this block gets power That block getting power means that this redstone lamp will turn on and as a cool little aside since we have our orange sheep there we can get ourselves a piece of orange wool and put it right here that way our chest right there we’ll be Able to know that this is orange if we do hide our sheep or you could do like i showed you earlier and you can actually show off the sheep as part of a build so this system is all done right so what i can do now is i can go ahead and get Myself a lot of wool manually fill up this system and i’m going to show you how the light works so right now this system is full full and almost all the way full it is missing one piece of wool so the next time that this little dude right here Gets sheared it will activate this whole system turn on this light and lock this up to keep it from working and there he goes and there it is the lights on you were in my way go away i can’t believe he ruined that shot the nerve of that guy and there we go Now if you want to expand on this it’s super super easy we’re actually going to use the grass from this side and bring it over meaning that we make our chambers just like this just like this let’s get that right there uh There we go get that right there like that and then i could just repeat the exact same process as i go and there we go bada bing bada boom just like that where did i get out of being bad boom from um just like that it’s all done and we can Do as many of these as we like and like you saw in the other world you can even decorate this thing up to make it look really cool like i did here where i put a piece of glass right here instead of a grass block like i did before and i Moved the grass block down um i decorated it around with some brick here and then now i have a display case showing the sheep up here doing their work for the community and also getting me all of that wonderful wool and a nice cool easy awesome looking format that would fit Really well inside of a building or somewhere where you build this farm and you want to actually aesthetically show it off if you enjoyed today’s video make sure you click that like button down below make sure you go click on the super thanks button if it
