Um so that transition was provided to me by Mojang and didn’t have sound in it so I just went in and added a sound in myself so now I’m special it makes me feel good how’s everybody doing today MP beans is the only one talking over twitch chat right now I’m

Sure we’ll probably have some more people hopping over there um some jingles and bells it’s the Olay sound when the leg gets duplicated um let’s see check it to chat appreciate you guys being here today uh of course we’re gonna be hopping into Minecraft Legends again because the game

Releases tomorrow I want to figure out some final um PVP things today um and then I want to talk a little bit about what our plans are with Legends uh post launch um yes everybody click that like button 26 view viewers eight likes we need to change that a little bit

Heard when I first started playing the game that I don’t know if they’re true or not and they do matter for like setting stuff up one of those things has to do with like Arrow Towers like firing when they’re directly behind a wall or those little um there’s like the smaller Towers

Um so I want to do some like testing with that um just to kind of generally see like how well do these towers work will like will they shoot through objects or do they have like a line of sight because see both mechanics exist in the game there’s the uh plank Golems their

Line of sight they will not shoot through things but the skeleton archers will shoot over things so what do Aero towers and Scatter shot towers do I really don’t know scotcheroos be jealous what the heck’s a scotcharoo that kind of sounds good it sounds like it like makes me think of

Dunkaroos I have I’m having a feeling there’s nothing to do it’s nothing to do with dunkaroos your job is to defend your base oh wow it’s real out of my ears okay so this is this is the first thing I want to see okay um here let’s like we’re just gonna

We’re gonna be playing around a little bit just against the um the a the um the what you call it guys um I think strategy lately has been um to do to come here uh to do two Stone one wood um but again we’re just kind of like

Messing around more than anything here I’m not really we’re not gonna be like fighting the actual AI opponent or anything like that Um what I want to do is I want to put down some Towers And I want to cover them with a wall right in front and what I want to I want to see if they if they hit units or not next turn what’s up next to your watch you uh rocking that P is for pro t-shirt today I hope so

All right so let’s see let’s see if these guys I am awesome I love it all right so here in just a moment see this would make sense for it definitely to shoot over because the like little holes where I guess like they should put like a little skeleton in there how cool

Would that be uh but like the little holes will kind of line up perfectly with where the arrows are intended to come out so it kind of makes sense how did you know I got eyes and ears everywhere [Applause] I would I would like a little bit more wood please foreign Oh man they’re coming from that side that doesn’t that doesn’t help me at all let’s see if this Tower shoots at them it does incoming attacks it cannot reach the fro we’ll shoot these guys look it’s not shooting them oh there it goes there it goes okay okay

So it it’s it’s shooting over the wall that’s good okay I need to get I need to get access to iron because I want to make the scatter Tower the scatter Tower is shorter so there is a question as to if it also it’s weird I made it facing that way

Um there’s a question also with the scatter Tower will will reach or not okay let’s go ahead and let’s just get these guys in there for now or at least one of them I love that war horn I do too does it make sense scatter can’t shoot over

Because they are shorter I know so I want to know like in terms of actual game mechanics is that how it works so that’s what we’re gonna find out together okay because this will matter for a lot of different things that we do in PvP we

Want to make sure everything we do is efficient I was clearing out these units get a good get a little bit of lapis and then we’ll uh we’ll make enough Golems to get us a little bit of uh prismarine okay [Applause] redeem hydrate stop it oh I don’t have

My um I don’t have my notification thing up they tend to come in from all sides well not really they come from the directions that the um they like actually come from here I’ve seen them traveling out before okay thanks for that uh NP beans I’ll check that out here in a moment

So let’s get ourselves some urn and why not we’ll get ourselves Some Coal some diamond and some redstone why can I not afford this oh because I already have three leads building okay it’s a very useful um stay on the offensive where can I find iron

Forest okay so it’s like kind of back behind our base it’s a pretty lopsided map look at this thing because you got me like in the middle of the map and my opponents like against the water easily defensible position but I got access to a ton of resources it’s

Kind of like a little give and take there the cold is almost done exactly you’re only allowed to be sick while you’re on vacay that’s how it works dude more like an old steam pipe sound okay yeah yeah but it’s still like I definitely like I think like like a war

Elephant from like games that have those types of things in them whenever I hear it I don’t know that’s that’s just that’s what happens in my head wait where am I oh right here this is this is not Forest though that’s Badlands oh okay forces okay that’s what I thought I was getting

Confused by my marker um sometimes like if you if it can be hard to see there you go like I know there’s iron there we’ll just keep some keep pickling off of that oh here’s a bunch I think I can hear that the elephants from 300 yeah yeah yeah yeah exactly dude

AI doesn’t attack what I’m doing is I wanted to test a few things before we take those things into PVP I’m trying to find a good coal deposit here’s one right here And then always like whenever I put one down I’ll put a tower down with it it’s that way piglens that spawn around it they’re not gonna be able to easily kill it you got cold now yeah I wanted more I wanted more okay so next thing we’re going to test

Out is the scatter Shot Tower so I’m going to take these towers down and I’m going to put scatter shot Towers in here and I want to see if they will shoot through walls why won’t it are all my guys hell no it won’t let me oh there we go

So scatter Shot Tower is in here oh scatter Tower not scatter shot whatever same thing you guys know what I mean and and the reason that I’m wondering about this one is you see how like short it is so now we need some like piglens to come to us

Oh my God the AI the AI is really bad on these like you’ll see like if you tell them to pass on the other side of a wall they won’t do it they don’t they don’t like recognize that they can like go forward to get around the wall okay here comes the hogland

All right let’s see oh no look out your defenses are under attack look look it doesn’t shoot him it can’t shoot over the walls it can’t they can’t do it so like these things are line of sight based the arrow Towers I’m guessing are specifically designed

To like just barely see over a wall that’s good that’s so good to know All right let’s get these guys off her base without let me see what else I want to test great so like scatter shot Towers if you’re gonna build like defensive base those need to sit outside of a wall okay all right let’s take those down love some good old myth busting yeah

It’s just like these are things that like they’re super important to know if you’re gonna PVP at a high level and they’re just like things that like a lot of maybe some people have already gone and figured it out but like they’re not widely known things yet foreign

If you’re like if you’re looking to defend your town center area you’re you’re probably gonna you’re probably gonna place these guys along the outside or allow our uh I guess along the inside is more of what I mean does that lapis hang in the air um it’ll despawn I’m full of lapis I

Have 250. I think the lapis Generation The Game’s a little high because you can make a Lapis Tower a Lapis flag that gets you lapis and but like by the time you go to make one which doesn’t have to be that far in like you don’t really need one

First of all can you even you can’t even you can’t even attach a rant to a wall like you can’t use a ramp to get over your wall ramps are really more to attached to Terrain you can’t use a ramp to get over an enemy’s wall either

Things help Tower so much battle drum it’s 150 Redstone 250 wood that’s not bad spy glass like that’s not a whole lot of resource kaboomery interesting but it is um like you’re gonna have to go gather that you think anything will change before the official release I

They set in a specific way yeah they’re all procedurally generated it’s very much luck of the draw sometimes we’re gonna get a map that’s very favorable to you most of the time it’s pretty even like it’s fairly even but sometimes you’re either gonna get hard screwed or like

You’re gonna get like super lucky and you’re gonna have an easy match easier match I should say when’s official release tomorrow you’ll be able to play starting tomorrow apparently there’s some piglets in on us yeah I want to get I want to get some more upgrades just so we can test things

Marketplace unfortunately so if that’s not something that you’re you’re too keen on then I mean that’s gonna kind of suck for you look this guy can’t get hit dude they are straight line of sight so since he’s tucked in there he can’t be hit by them so that’s kind of that’s interesting so

It’s tracing exact line of sight so basically you need to look at wherever the windows are and if they’re obstructed in some way they’re not going to be able to hit that’s interesting see I would have thought that it was a lot more passive than that

So if you ever want to like take like if you get guys up on a tower they’re not gonna be able to be hit you need scatter Towers right outside the wall yeah yeah I mean I’m not really too worried about that right now or it’s

Kind of like messing around a little bit but in a like generally speaking yes you’re right you know just to keep my stuff repaired when piglens come in who redeemed what what All right remember we wanna we wanna mess with our first guys um I want to take this down And this and this removing stuff is very cumbersome super annoying okay that should set us up pretty good all right um let’s recall everybody over here [Applause] need to be able to collect more coal more diamond and more Redstone why can’t I do this oh I need a more I need another bill

Not much built into matchmaking at this time um and then currently two there’s only a way to queue up for 4v4 although if you get three people in your lobby you can start the game as a 3v3 um I’m still not enough coal which means we’re gonna have to hang out

Here a little bit longer wish we could get a unique cape in Bedrock when buying Legends that’d be cool I’ll we’ll say for just Minecraft in general it doesn’t have to just be for for Bedrock for all my Java fans out there a lot of people like to think I

Hate on Java to hate on Java I don’t I like Java Edition I just happen to think that Java is not going to be around forever and then if it’s not my belief is that things need to be handled in a way it’s where Java players aren’t upset at that

To play it I’m curious on how hard it’s going to be if you Arrow Tower spam at the pigland’s base does the lapis not get picked up eventually yeah you have to be close to lapis and to um and to prismarine to pick it up if

You’re not you don’t get it although you do passively generate lapis after a short time in the game lapis seems to not be hard to come across and if anything I kind of wish they would make it just a little bit harder to get a little bit not a lot not

Core version of Legends what what do you mean what does that mean you look forward looking forward to it I think it’ll be fun Olay collection feels kind of slow too I wish they had an upgrade that would give like a a speed boost to a lay collection

Like uh 25 or something like that it’d be kind of nice I’m sure when you played the waves you you were shouting I’m out of lapis that’s different though they don’t they um they don’t give you lapis for like they don’t give you passive lapis generation in that game mode and they

Don’t give you lapis from killing the enemies you’re just you’re a set amount like that’s all you get what you get see your lapis income has increased so like they’re giving me lapis over time here now we need diamonds which would be out there look see see how the see how the maps

Laid out like he’s the only like he’s got access to Diamonds back there and I don’t so like some of like some of playing this game is gonna be like having a variety of strategies because like if you have a strategy around skeletons which you spawn in with

Diamonds and like you just like to run that 100 at a time if you got this map in my spot like you’re just gonna get crushed because you don’t have access to Diamonds especially like one way I think this game is going to evolve is like you’re going to be blocking each other’s

Resource Gathering like you’re going to be going around looking for that person’s like a lay Gathering box so you can disrupt it all right back to work for me have a good shape all right Sammy battle drum for a lays not a thing what do you mean what is that what do you

Mean okay we maxed out on redstone we have enough coal we maxed out on iron or we will is this anything like the RTS that you said you wanted to see in Bedrock or were you thinking something different RTS I wanted to see in Bedrock I I don’t I don’t remember this I’m

Was a cool thought that I had but now I think it’d be cool if like somebody made like a mod for Minecraft where it the you have a lays that do for you in Minecraft what they do for you here like I could set it away to like

Chop down a bunch of trees for me and drop off the stuff in wood and it was like in a chest and it would drop off the wood in the chest or I could do it to like you know mine stone or something like that and then they’ll drop it off in a

Chest like how cool would that be and then like let’s say like I built something like I built a cool Tower and I want in a layer to build more of those towers for me I could like click something to show it that Tower of mine

And then it’ll go build another one for me wherever I want as long as I have the resources in a chest close by or something that’d be so cool this level of resource Gathering wouldn’t work against the live PP PVP would it it depends in P beans because

If you’re playing in their current intended way which is a 4v4 you can get enough resources fairly quick if you’re doing a 1v1 probably not if the other person is going to play remotely aggressive um but all we’re really doing here is I just want to see the effectiveness of

These guys a little bit less because I want to use them myself and a little bit more oh how much does this cost okay I don’t have enough for that one yet oh look at all the lapis it uses 225 lapis as well like see man these guys

Are expensive to bring in and like so here’s the thing you can well first of all you can only build these in your base blow this fly you can only build these in your base you cannot build these like outside of your base area it doesn’t let you and also

If somebody builds one of these they committed a lot of resources to it if you knock it down like they’re like they’re hurt so would that mean you’d be playing craft instead of mine it delays mind the resources for you still Minecraft it’s just you’re not doing the mining

Feels kind of cheady yeah but that’s why it’s a mod mods can be as shitty as you want them to be all right so like what’s this dude do I’m kind of I forget sometimes about these units and for some reason they’re not all in here by the way like

The other like first Golems they’re not in this book and I’m really confused why they’re not so I guess let’s just spawn this dude in can you only have one oh my God you could have multiple they take up a population but oh man so what do these guys do

Let’s um let’s take them over to fight some piglets I guess be cool and I could see it being done I don’t have the knowledge to do it but I would but would love to try oh yeah I could I could definitely see somebody easily making a mod that does that it’s

A Java like they’d have no problem with that on Bedrock I don’t I don’t think we we’re quite at that level quite yet so like do these guys like hurt structures really bad like what do they do what is he doing I think oh okay so these guys okay that’s kind of fun

I like that um how did how did they do against a base a player base and and will it shoot through a wall or do you have to knock the wall down Uh those are my okay here we are is this is this Stone this is Stone okay so like if I tell these guys to kill this this actually looks like I already took damage look they actually have good range wow okay so they two shot they two-shot a scatter Tower They um They smash you it’s pretty good too they two shot walls they’re pretty strong for you oh wow um that creeper hurt get away from the creeper oh hello cynthian trebuchets yeah I pretty much dude Hmm okay um I’m gonna send these guys to have fun they they basically they’ll two-shot any player structure oh we need to see first before I send them out to just like get killed I need to know will they hit something behind a wall like can they hit this

Nope nope they just want to get in and their their pathfinding is gonna break okay that’s good to know we’ll leave them here they kind of need to die so I can make new ones those things are huge they are they take up eight population which really isn’t

That bad if you like raise your pop cap you can get up to 100 pop yeah they’re they’re definitely a Siege a Siege base unit for sure for sure um I think the first of brick dude I think he protects you against arrows and I

Know first a diorite guy I want to try a strategy out with him but we’ll do him in a minute now there’s this dude first of Oak and he shoots out a projectile like a arrow and I feel like he’s not very strong but let’s try them

All right they killed one of my stone dudes the first of Oak is now in your team you have great range with them on your side great range okay so like how great is the range I want to hit this guy oh he one shots those guys

So basically this dude is gonna just one like insta one shot kill any unit heat like this this would be this would maybe be your like ant a anti-first unit is somebody’s trying to like run a strategy of those those first Golem dudes that are um like the sea like the trebuchet units

What I want to do is I want to generate I want to generate a lot of uh units from the from these guys my normal population cap and then our cap population separately does that make sense so we should essentially be able to like get infinite units no look they’re not doing it

Have something that stops them they might have something that stops them from spawning in more units uh well if that’s the case then my strategy is not going to work my strategy is not going to work guys well it’s good to know see I thought they would just infinitely spawn in

Units but they don’t I like that there’s like no way to know like how much healthier units have all right okay yeah they won’t spawn anything else okay so I need to know something else I’ve I’ve seen somebody say that I think it was a toy cat Maybe

Somebody said that just just making all like skeletons is like super op um but to do that we need to we need to kill off all of our current units first so I’m just gonna throw a bunch of dudes like in the middle here and eventually they’ll die off

And I’ll do that while we mobile spawners interesting I mean they do give you like it was still like a decent boost of units like you’re getting probably an extra like 50 like 16 units or so from it but it’s that’s not enough to change a battle I don’t think

Like to use as a primary strategy all right we’ll send those guys in they’ll die off uh let’s get these other dudes we’ll send them in they’ll die off and I want to try a big army of skeletons my knee just popped I’m getting old guys

Getting all I’ve been old a bit old for years I typed out a few days ago Minecraft is installed I just realized an issue why be able to transfer my Minecraft license to a new laptop it’s linked to your to your Microsoft account so you just if you’re using that same account to log into the Microsoft store then you’re fine

Range like their range is stupid long that’s what I want to see what happens you’re in danger of losing the means to summon more allies I don’t know how okay Oh man it’s gonna take a little bit I need more diamonds let’s get them faster magic vanilla added Diamond walls and stairs and slabs yeah it’d be fun right so like what is an army of like 40 to 50 skeletons do exactly they cost a lot

How much am I spending 10 10 diamonds for each skeleton vanilla should have slabs to air wall for every block by default I mean I think I’m mostly on that team maybe I could maybe think of some exceptions but I wouldn’t be mad if those exceptions were broken they just did it for

Everything We’re up to 24. oh see I think this strategy works best if you’re a critical mass because basically what you want to happen is every time anything like approaches you you want it to just insta die if you try to roll in on somebody with like 10 skeletons uh decent sized Army

He’s gonna like walk into it and your skeletons are dead resources and legends eventually reformulated or is it all finite it’s it’s all finite Supply what’s on the map is what you get that’s it so if you mind yourself out of resources then and you’re you’re playing just generally very inefficiently you’re

Uh we got some tall trees out in this direction and defeat the enemy headquarters and uh we need Stone more that we need wood so I’ll put one wood 2300 that’s pretty solid and then two Stone JN 13 months wood tier remember let’s go um there’s a big Stone pillar and

There’s a big Stone pillar that that’ll set us for a while okay good perfect perfect perfect okay so now we’re going for Max Max attack here not Max defend so what we’ll do is we’ll put up Towers we won’t worry about walls we’re only worried about protecting it’s piglets right now

Uh come on get up to 150. Okay now we want to come out here foreign s to get our lapis see one of the things that I don’t think Mojang did was see I don’t think they’ve really let like anybody outside of like their own personal um like testers do a lot of the testing

For the game so unfortunately I think most the testing they did were some people that are maybe like somewhat inexperienced in this genre game and that’s why they’ve likely missed a lot of things that are important to this type of game and the development of this game

But like I could see some fun with content doing challenges in terms of like just being a player it’s definitely fun the campaign is very enjoyable it’s a little short but it’s very enjoyable the PVP is super fun uh the Lost legend portal portal pile is very fun I enjoy that a lot

Need separate cues for those and then you can host the game you can just host your own public game or you like invite your friends into it first and then like fill it against somebody else um or you can host a private game where only people you invite can get in

Same options as well like depending on how many people you want to play with um and then they should have like a tab somewhere to like view rankings like how cool would it be to go in and like click on a tab and see who the like

See where you’re ranked no matter where it is but like look through and see like who’s the top 100 people in PvP at the game right now like that’d be super cool so I just entered you can’t host a public 101 you can you can go to private

And you can host whatever size you want to foreign but that would be really cool I would love it and then like imagine if you could go in and like let’s say the number two players playing right now like you could click on their name imagine if they have the option turned

On that you could go in and watch them playing like live that’d be freaking awesome I would love that I really hope mochang watches your streams to get good ideas I don’t think they do I haven’t heard of any of them watching them I have not heard of them watching my streams
