PunkyRoo – Roocraft #4: Steampunk Zombie Survival Minecraft (Create Mod)

Hello everyone welcome back hi there so um we did a little bit of a reboot for this series um because i really first of all actually before you get to that isn’t this ruined portal just gorgeous this is probably the most beautiful one i’ve ever seen and i’ve decided to set my new

Base up in this reboot world because uh wow it’s like it’s gorgeous it’s gorgeous i want to completely rebuild it and have this as my primary way to get into the nether and so i’ve built a basic base here i’ve also got like a you know your basic mine

Over there so things have started over now why did i start over well good question so the reason why i start over is because i really i took the day off yesterday as you might have noticed a lack of video and i really evaluated all

The mods that i was using and i realized that some some work some don’t work and i’ve kind of reformed the the mod pack so the first thing you’ll really notice is that you’ll notice all these other like status bars above my hunger so i now have to worry about thirst and the

One above that the lightning bolts is stamina and i have to sleep regularly if i don’t sleep regularly i start having issues in fact if you look at the top right corner you see that little red eye icon or whatever means i have i need to sleep if i don’t sleep then i

Can actually have like various things like my vision starts getting dark that’s actually why you just saw it get darker so it becomes more dangerous to function i start slowing down and also also i have to be really really careful where i walk so let me try to walk backwards here

So if i get too close to hot things like the lava see how my heart’s turned ah hearts turned orange so i can actually die from being too hot or too cold so that’s the the survive mod i talked about it in a previous episode because i considered adding it

But i was like you know what all right i’m getting away from the hot stuff uh so it’s basically it’s dangerous getting near lava as it is getting in lava but any case the reason why well i talked about in the past episode i was like you

Know what maybe it would be too much since this is build focus but i realized with just zombies running around even if they are dangerous i i could take precautions so for example let me walk backwards in my little base i’ve built a two by two block height

Any zombies that come up my base automatically fall in there they’re not smart enough to build a bridge so um there’s definitely ways i’ve not found the zombies to be particularly dangerous i’ve actually now died of oh wow oh now i’m i’m gonna die well i suppose that’s what i get for

Being cocky so as soon as i talk about being safe from zombies i was just killed by one respawn got my stuff and if hopefully you’ll forgive me but i’m gonna do the rest of this episode in creative mode um but i just really wanted to fill you in

On kind of where we are so let me there we go um so i’ve set myself up some furnaces and while these are going these will also get so hot they’ll they’ll kill me but i found lots of resources iron and potassium and zinc and

Uh copper and i have tons and tons of gold because i built this base and i’m closing oh actually i’m on creative now i’m safe so i built the cinemasa biome uh they should not be burning during the day i supposedly had a mob that turned

It off i’ll have to double check that um but maybe i accidentally removed that mod when i switched things around because they’re supposed to stay alive during the day so their zombies are a threat even during the day but you know i have a basic mind and i was i was

Mining in here and of course found lots of gold and couldn’t find andesite okay so that’s kind of the other big change i got rid of uh oh the volumes you will go biomso plenty and terraforge all things that were kind of messing with world generation in terms of adding i got rid

Of the buy extra biome mods because they added a bunch of extra blocks that were just not they were not compatible or or applicable to the create build and i think it’s good if you want to do if you want to have a lot of blocks for like

Architectural design reasons but i this is not that sort of build you know i want to use the vanilla ones and the stuff that’s added by create and that’s more than enough to get the kind of uh aesthetics that i want in terms of like steampunkiness and survivalness so

I really didn’t need all those extra blocks and woods and whatnot kind of like gunking up the work since a lot of them were not really compatible with create but anyway so i got rid of those and i got rid of terraforge because of the way the world

Was generated so it created massive swaths of when you dig underground it put basically all the ores at the bottom like all the ores and it created like these layers of all the different types of stone now some stone is added by the create mod um but it created these very

Obvious strata what they call strata so as you go down you see strata which is cool but then it made andesite way too easy to get and andesite’s a big part of the create mod so you need andesite uh to create an alloy you either alloy it

Combine it with iron or zinc and you can make the antisight alloy which you use to build a lot of the basic the kind of lower tier mechanisms and components for create so so that was uh it was a little too easy to get it so on this run terraforge is gone so

There’s no longer that strata but then i ran into the exact opposite problem all those huge resources and huge amount of resources that i have i found because i was desperately searching for andesite which i have not found one single block of um but uh that is because not so much i thought

I’d find it easier like historically i’ve always had tons of this stuff i thought i’d find it easier but as it turns out i had another mod loaded that has changed where it’s generated by default the the kind of um if you’re familiar with quark quark is a

Mod in minecraft that adds a bunch of little things and i picked it up and i added it to the mod pack because it adds a lot of cool redstone uh automation that i think would be nice and compatible that doesn’t overlap with functionality of create but it could be very

Very um compatible and um a great combo make great combos there’s great synergy i felt between those new automation features and the automation in create so you know because i’m not against redstone i’ll include redstone in some of my builds especially if i do big crazy intricate circuitry stuff

But also in that mod it does change how the world is generated a little bit so it actually makes it so andesite granite and diorite so the alternative stone blocks are generated in specific places so one they don’t generate in small little veins all over the place

They are rarer but they they spawn in gigantic gigantic veins so i’ve actually already found that with granite here in the mesa biome um i actually have already found tons of granite but to find and i’ll position myself here because we’re going to we’re going to talk about the forest

Stuff in the distance there that’s actually where i’m going to find andesite because they have a site now with quark by default now you can change the configuration but by default uh the large veins of andesite should be buried underneath forest which is great um

So we’re gonna go search that uh or i’m gonna be doing it off screen i probably won’t have a ton of uh these videos really kind of like action like what’s happening in the moment it’s gonna be more uh after the fact i think because i may end up start streaming the everyday

Stuff on twitch we’ll see how it goes depends on my whole schedule and how life works out but um but i definitely want to do daily kind of like updates about what’s going on with this series and probably some action stuff too but i i understand for you to be sake it’s

Watching me dig out you know a mine for three hours it’s probably not gonna be entertaining so um yeah so we’re gonna go searching for the andesite try to find some of those veins and um hopefully tomorrow i’ll be able to report to you that we found a bunch

Of it and finally finally we can make some alloy and we can start making some proper create machines now because i am using the survive mod water luckily i have a little pond here though that that is considered unfresh or contaminated water so occasionally drinking that i have a

Little canteen that i made out of leather so i go and it allows me to refill my by drinking and to uh my drinking meter and to refill the canteen i just right click on a body of water but i really need to purify the water first in a smelter so

You know just basically smelt it in a furnace from my understanding i need to double check the mods the mod configuration and whatnot but um did i find the thirst though the the sort of uncontaminated thirst um poisoning or whatever not to be too bad so i haven’t

Really bothered doing that yet but i will be in the future but but because hunger is so important i i rated the local village which is over yonder and um i found quite a bit of wheat so i made a lot of bread and that’s kept me

Pretty sustained and i found some apples i think there was actually some apples in that crate over there that i rated uh chest that was next to the ruined portal but i i’m gonna have to make a farm like like crazy soon so i think one of the

First create machines i’m gonna create is an automated farming so i’m gonna set out some dirt blocks here and i’m going to use like a windmill bearing to create basically this these collectors that roam that go around and around and around and harvest basically auto harvest wheat for me but we’ll get into
