QE inc – Minecraft Update Idea: The River Update

Hello everybody welcome to another video as always as you can tell from the title I’m talking about a Minecraft Update obviously not the next one is the main focus of the next one as far as I could tell is terracotta blocks but the update I won’t discuss is the water update the

Water the gushing update call it you like you get my point it’s about water just before I get started I want say if it sounds a little bit weird I this there’s my setups changed a bit and I’m reading off a little iPad and the microphone is beside

Me so I don’t know what this is going to sound like but anyway my tongue is tied which is really not gonna make this easy especially since this is pretty long video um okay that’s good I got the idea for this after seeing a post on reddit

About how oceans still felt to be lacking something I agreed with this as even though the ocean monument is a great addition and I really loved it even though I didn’t love it quite as much as first that was over a year ago I think it might be closer to two years or

Even possibly past two years ago now and given that since the end has been completely revamped since the ocean monument was brought in I think the ocean deserves a little bit more work the first and in my opinion the most important feature is a new kind of River

I want to quickly just say that my idea for this update and features huge amounts of terrain generation so it would probably take a while to me the old rivers would be capped because I think they are fairly minecraft II but the reason I dislike them is that most

Of the time they are completely useless and I never use them for traveling because they don’t go anywhere sometimes they’re too small to even put a boat in however what I want to do with the new rivers is have them always lead into a lake or an ocean biome or a swamp

Lake by the way a lake is a new biome I want to introduce this makes sense because in real life rivers always flow into lakes or the ocean I’m almost done with rivers just bear with me something that I think would be amazing is if in I

Spike biomes I’d love to see a special type of river which is a frozen river I think it would be amazing if you had frozen rivers I think it would just be so called contrast to the actual rivers to the new rivers that I’d love to introduce I’m not actually sure what it

Would be made of though I’m not sure there’ll just be ice or normal ice on top with packed ice beneath or completely made a packed ice I don’t think completely made a packed ice but I’m honestly not sure that would be up to Mojang flowing forwards get it part

Of the river system I think would be really cool to introduce with these new rivers is drumroll please Waterfalls I think they would be really cool and no I’m not talking about these I’m talking about things like these and my favorite part about waterfalls would

Be as with the river there would be a frozen waterfall and I think that would look just so great mind blowing lis amazing next I should probably talk about Lakes because I already brought them up without much explanation so it’s well it’s exactly what it sounds like

Oceans are great but I think lakes in the middle of fires would be really nice not too big like the likes in swamps except without lily pads swamp colors and oak trees in the middle of them and also possibly slightly deeper for some of them oceans are great but I think

Lakes in the middle of biomes would be really nice I think they’re out to the aesthetic of Minecraft giving a more natural feel to the world I don’t mean that not every River led to the ocean because that would make oceans just too common or rivers not common enough

Either one and not every ocean should have a river leading into it just because variation I don’t know I think I’m losing the point here and my place so what I want to say is that lakes look good and I want them in Minecraft we’re halfway through my list of things to add

So at this point I think I should talk more about rivers even though you’re already bored to death with them this is also about lakes and beaches because one thing I hate about water in Minecraft if it’s naturally generating it’s the lack of blocks about it especially in oceans

Where you can go for miles and all you see is gravel current rivers are fairly good because they have clay and sand and dirt which is okay range and also gravel it in them but beaches are always sandy and I think it should change because I just that they need to be more

There needs to be more variation and I’m not claiming for a biomes o plenty every by own needs five new types of it it’s just that I don’t like how beaches are all the same a new type of Beach would be a rocky beach with large rocks of

Cobblestone similar to that in mega Tigers and I’m not sure that’s the right name of the biome because I forgot to check the script before making this they could also have a new type train that being rock pools from cleft shelves which I’m pretty sure a thing I’m not

Sure that’s the right name low but to add more variants in block types I would like to add a brand new block to featuring rivers beaches lakes and oceans that being the pebble block I would call it a stone block but this would have an appearance similar to

Cobblestone but have more colors in it like brown and more blue grays instead of the basic gray that we have now the pebble block would also come with its own item that being surprisingly enough pebbles the pebble block would be similar to Clay’s so when you break it

You get four pebbles or possibly more but I don’t want them to completely clog up your inventory which is why they should be the same even though I love them to all be different colors but I think they have to all be one color so that they don’t fill up your inventory

With all different kinds of what is just essentially the same item dire granite andesite I think a block specifically for water would be great addition and make the entire terrain feel different the ability to just use pebble blocks would be something I’d love now on to much more interesting things and

Possibly my favorite part with this update I would bring in a couple of mobs that’s right two new mobs possibly more I’m honestly not sure yet one for the river and one for the ocean this would help oceans to feel less empty which is one of the points of this

Update squid oh okay but if they don’t spawn going across an ocean can feel really lonely which I don’t mind if it does because it should feel lonely that’s what oceans alike but the problem is it just feels incomplete so many animals live in water that I

Couldn’t pick a single one four rivers I found tons namely an officer a beaver which I think would be fun as you could then have dams generate along rivers which just I’d love that hippos which would go into adaptive rivers which might be a bit complicated but you know an amphibious mob similar

To pose elephants they would spawn near rivers and never go far from them I do worry adding complicated model models like elephants might not be to Minecraft II and they aren’t exactly very watery either so probably not elephants even though I’d love to have them in Minecraft a crocodile again this has the

Issue of not being very minecraft II and a crayfish which if done right I feel like could fit really well into Minecraft and last but not least my favorite one of them all manatees I love manatees and I would love to be exploring a Minecraft world and run into

A manatee or two just lazing about a river I’m just going to say I wouldn’t want fishing rivers but they could spawn in large groups fairly early so they don’t cause too much lag and they would be spawning oceans by the way because honestly that could look quite cool if

You sometimes come across just entire schools schools skulls shoals schools of fish there’s one other mob I can think of that would work in the current oceans and that is stingrays which I think would actually go really well in Minecraft although if you wanted you tap dolphin sharks or

Whales I just don’t like any of those three years mobs in Minecraft and I feel like they don’t fit in minecraft well again to make oceans less empty a new type of structure pirate ships I know they’ve already been modded in try I’m trying to avoid talking about feats like

That which why even though I love them I haven’t mentioned coral reefs kelp forests or River Rapids although seaweed would be a great thing to add but pirate ships with a new type of zombie or skeleton like husks and strays would be super fun to raid a fairly common mini structure similar to

Villages except obviously a lot smaller I think they won’t be too big to avoid them being spotted all from Ages away and I think they wouldn’t have much loot almost like spawn Azure chests in nether fortresses although you could find sponges and prismarine shots in them fits in with the ocean theme actually

That’s a really good idea I like that sponges in prison rain definitely I know I said I was done with biomes and terrain but something I just thought of while writing this correct was deep oceans these would be very rare but they would be huge in the middle of oceans

Similar size to huge biomes in world generation and that’s in normal world generation so you would have a huge biome but in the normal world without generating it specifically and I feel like the world generation has now lost all meaning whales would spawn in these

But I feel like to make it be worthwhile whales should drop something really cool and how these would be deep is obviously they would go right down to pretty much bedrock so you know why ten or so from obviously y63 I’d leave is the level of oceans well if possibly everything should be

Shifted up there’s tons of space before you reach this the block women in minecraft without to be a big thing to change whales should definitely drop something really good if you had deep oceans because deep oceans would otherwise be really annoying and obviously if you kill the whale then
