Hey YouTube this is Raj and today I’m going to be talking about brewing in Minecraft and how it exactly works so why don’t we get started so why don’t we talk about brewing a Minecraft now it’s easy to completely avoid brewing in Minecraft and especially potions it’s Kind of a part of Minecraft that you can avoid if you don’t really want to know about it but there are a lot of useful potions in Minecraft so it is at least worth looking at and understanding what they do even if you don’t necessarily use them so let’s talk about brewing so First thing we’re going to need to do is craft a couple things so I can better explain how brewing works in Minecraft so what we’re gonna have to do is get a brewing stand obviously need a brewing stand to brew in Minecraft so you need one place rod and three cobble and then You’re also going to need a lot of glass bottles cuz you basically need glass balls but potions in so as you can see three glass blocks get you three glass bottles and it’s good to have something like a cauldron or a water source close by because you’ll need to fill the the Ball of the glass bottles with water so and it’s good to have something like a cauldron nearby because it fills you can use it to fill up your glass bottles with water you can also put a cauldron in the nether and the water inside that cauldron and the nether won’t evaporate So if you want to do your brewing in the nether that’s one way to get the water you need to do that so let’s look at the brewing stand so just to so you can understand this display this is where the fuel goes in the only fuel you you Can put into a brewing stand is blaze powder this is the three basically you can put one batch in so it batch is basically three bottles so you can put the three bottles in here and then you put whatever you want to distill at the top so let’s do this quickly water Bottle and we are going to make an effect pose so to understand how this works so as you can tell it’s working so that’s brewing like that the arrow is going down the nether is distilling or the nether warts is distilling into the water bottle and we are going to be Creating an awkward potion now this is useful because it creates effect potions and effect potions do a lot of different things in Minecraft so you can use it to increase your speed increase your strength increase the amount of melee damage you’re doing regenerate your health you can use it to reduce your Falling damage to basically see at night to breathe underwater it has a ton of different things and the great thing about potions are that they can last for a lot longer than something like a little short burst so you can they can last for three minutes or even up to Eight minutes for some of them so as you can tell here we got an awkward potion and I should quickly explain out base postings work so the awkward potion is one of the base potions in Minecraft now the weird thing about the base potions in Minecraft is this is the way you do Awkward potions but a lot of the other potions you put them in after you created the effect potion so let’s say you okay well here’s a good example so we have the awkward potion there and let’s put some sugar in here so this is going to create a potion of swiftness Which is going to make me able to move faster so after we’ve done this if you wanted to increase the duration or you want it to make it a higher level then you can still other base potions into it so for example redstone would increase the length of that potion effect and Then glowstone would increase the would increase the level of the effect the other thing you can do is you can also corrupt it with fermented spider eyes and this will have a negative effect so it’ll do something like slow you down and then there’s also two other potions Which are you can create splash potions with gunpowder and you can also create lingering potions with dragon’s breath and you have to use Dragons you have to first turn it into a splash potion with gunpowder and then you have to turn it into a lingering potion with dragon’s Breath but the thing is let’s say you have the swift you have this potion of swiftness and you want to create a splash potion what you would do is you would put the Gunpowder in here and then it’ll distill into there and you will get a splash potion which is potion of Swiftness so with every other base potion asset for awkward potion which is nether warts and creates effects of potions and potion of weakness which is used with fermented spider eyes all the other ones you should add the base potion after you created the effect potion because if you don’t it’ll create A completely useless potion that you can’t basically do anything with so I hope that’s helpful for you guys so that was brewing in Minecraft I hope that was helpful for you guys this is gonna be more of an intro to brewing and brewing stance and especially the potion Category I’m going to be going into a lot more detail so I hope
