Hey everyone welcome back to part two of my create mod series on the mod that released just a couple months ago and i’ve noticed there’s not many tutorials out there and the ones that are out there are like 25 minutes plus long so i’m trying to make these tutorials Pretty quick this might be a little bit of a longer one because i want i want to uh dive pretty deep into these concepts because i’ve run into them in my survival world and you waste a lot of resources if you don’t know how to start building certain machines that being said uh The last one we talked about the waterwheel and the mechanical press and this one we’re gonna go ahead and talk about gear boxes uh the message that might pop up saying over stress and also the message that might pop up called speed requirements and you’re probably gonna run into these In the next couple of machines we tackle in the next couple of episodes or you might have already run into them so i want to go ahead and cover them now before we get into more advanced machines and you waste resources that being said of course i’m doing it In a creative world for this one you can see this is our original machine we used in the last video i basically duplicated it down the line so that you can see different ways to construct based off a single water wheel uh that being said let’s jump right into it So this first one is going to be talking about the gearboxes so a gearbox allows you to take a shaft that’s being already spun uh and you’re able to change directions of it so a regular gearbox you can change it to go in this direction this direction And this direction and then a vertical gearbox is able to go up and down so a nice way to go ahead and use one thing of rotational force and change directions of it that being said let’s go ahead and uh craft one of these they’re pretty cheap You might even be able to make them off the resources that we used in the last video but to make one of them there’s just four cog wheels and one andesite casing so we’ll start out with the andesite casing which is six planks one log two andesite alloys You go ahead and create four of those and then the almost clicked on the wrong thing the cog wheels uh just like the last video are eight buttons and one andesite alloys and you make eight of those for those of course we don’t need that many Uh we’ll just go ahead and craft one so now we have a gearbox now the gearbox as you can see if i click on here and i’ll grab some shafts really quick you can see that from one gearbox that i placed right there i can actually change directions and duplicate directions Going into three different way or three different directions now a vertical gearbox is as simple as taking a gearbox putting it in a crafting table or your inventory crafting table now it becomes a vertical one and then this allows you to be able to go up and whoops and down So you can see now you can really change directions just based on the wheel uh this gets really helpful because you could also take like grab a regular gearbox and you could see here you can see it’s spinning counterclock or excuse me spinning clockwise at the moment if i place a Second one i can now spin the pipe uh counterclockwise so this will help in different machines in the future when you need to change directions so just keep that in mind uh next thing we’re going to talk about is over stressing and what does that even mean so You can see right now we have two mechanical presses um granted we probably will never do this type of system but i’m just using something that we know already uh and you can see that they’re both spinning meaning that they’re both working now if i take another mechanical Press i placed it on here i now have it’s over stressed and the description it gives you is basically saying that you need to add some more sources to slow down the components uh with a high stress impact now to me i didn’t know what the heck that meant Uh in other words you have a couple ways of fixing this um one of these is of course just breaking your machine that you just placed on and now two of them are gonna run fine uh your next one is to add a second water wheel or some kind of other power Source and then you’ll be able to power a couple extra ones you can see here i’m powering four if i added a fifth one it would become overstressed again or a much more efficient way of doing this with less resources is to mess around with some cog wheels Now you can see these are small cog wheels attached to lark chicago wheels and this is all done off of one single water wheel so exactly what we have so you simply attach a large cog wheel and then connect it to a smaller cog wheel connected to a large cogwheel and so on You can do it several times to the point that it’s speeding up so fast that it’s creating more speed than just off of a single water wheel now the way that works is if you look at the smaller gears they’re spinning uh basically one rotation of a smaller gear Ends up being different than a larger cog wheel so this ends up speeding up all the further gears and so on and so on now this is not a glitch or anything this is meant to work this is how it works in real life as well You can only do this so many times and then it ends up breaking the gears but the only downside to this is then you’re going to end up needing to make a rotational speed controller now a rotational speed controller you end up actually needing this type of Circuit which i’m going to cover in the next video but i want to make aware that this is something that we’re going to need to definitely tackle for more advanced machines so don’t worry about too much crafting this yet wait until the next video and then You can see on how to speed this up but you can see from a rotation speed controller i’ve set it to a speed of 1 rpm and you could see on how many of these i was able to run off of 1 rpm and this wasn’t even max i just Got bored after making that many so what you’re able to do is you can actually up the speed of these things and as you up the speed uh it will over stress certain things now what why does that matter why don’t you just keep it at the lowest speed because That doesn’t matter then right so if you use these at the lowest speed a mechanical press won’t doesn’t care about how fast it is as long as it has some rotational power and you can see on how slow it’s spinning that it’s fine it’s always going to Shoot down it’s going to press when you press the button and there’s an item underneath it doesn’t matter now for some machines in the future speed has an impact such as mixers and fans and stuff like that which are things that we’re tackling in the next couple episodes So if you just wanted a ton of mechanical presses this is a fine design and it doesn’t matter on how basically how fast this thing is spinning you can simply just turn it down and have a million of these guys going in a row for mixers and stuff like that they’re Not going to be able to process items as fast depending on how fast these gears are spinning now that might be a little bit convoluted so i’m going to tackle these as we get to these next machines so you can see right in here we have the Exact same process of the gears spinning and spinning and spinning we have the rpm set at eight so you can see it’s slowly now spinning out of here these are just a bunch of gearboxes that are now pushing fans that are blowing air so any mobs and myself that go in front Of it slowly get pushed now that’s the thing is i’m getting really slowly pushed maybe this is not at all what i want and i’m barely going a couple blocks this is going to take forever so let’s say i really wanted to kick this up so i can break gearbox real Quick so i’m only running three fans and i can crank this thing up so let’s crank it up to oops just over stressed it so i cranked it to 32 now you can really see it’s pushing and you can see now i’m moving quicker so speed now matters in these certain items Now granted i can even break that one and speed this up even further i think we can do yeah you can see it’s still going so i have 112 now look how fast i’m getting pushed so this idea of using gears and a water wheel allows you to have more strength for certain Uh certain fans certain mixers certain machines in that set uh versus if we had 112 speed on a mechanical press it wouldn’t make a difference the mechanical press just needs some sort of speed and it will go down and doesn’t speed itself up um a lot of these machines to see if it Matters or not you can simply just look at them by holding shift oops i went over gearbox and you can see on if speed matters so you can see a mechanical press all it cares about is stress it doesn’t have a speed requirement versus if i can find a mixer It’s right in front of me i know oh mechanical mixer you can see the speed requirement is moderate so it needs at least moderate speed in order to work so that’s something to keep in mind that being said let’s go ahead and move on to the next machines So you can see right here let’s see how speed uh matters as far as a mixer so you can see we’ve taken this exact design that we’ve created we took a vertical gearbox the thing that we crafted over there to change directions put a cog wheel on so this cog wheel Connects to the mixer and then now we can see the mixer spinning but we haven’t we have this uh speed requirement that we’re not beating it says that we don’t have enough rotating speed so we can’t even use the mixer now one way of fixing this is of course putting A second wheel on this or we can do our gear trick again and keep spinning the gears and then just simply slow down the speed and you can see on how fast this mixer is spinning and it works perfectly now let’s go ahead and show you this if i slow this down Let’s see there we go so i’ve slowed it to like 36 you can see it still works it’s just spinning slower so it’s going to process any type of items inside this basin at a slower rate so a good idea is always just using this gear trick and then using a speed Controller and you can control on how fast oops control on how fast you want to use your items now i know that this was a trickier video to go ahead and record i know that this might have been a little bit difficult to understand please leave your comments Uh and i will definitely respond to him immediately i know that there was really like no support online for this type of idea and i really hope i was able to help you guys so if i did please go ahead and leave a like feel free to subscribe for the next couple Videos in this series and other than that thank you guys so much for watching and i’ll see you guys in the next video In this tutorial, I talk about the Minecraft Create Mod Gearbox, Overstressed message, and Speed Requirement message for the Create Mod. I talk about how to use a gearbox and vertical gearbox to change directions of shafts both vertically and horizontally. As well as I talk about how to fix the overstressed message and the speed requirement message for the machines in the Create Mod for Minecraft. The Minecraft Create Mod is an advanced mod that has a ton of potential after only releasing a couple of months ago.
The Minecraft Create Mod is a mod offering a variety of tools and blocks for Building, Decoration, and Aesthetic Automation. The added elements in the Create Mod of tech are designed to leave as many design choices to the player as possible, where item processing doesn’t just happen in a single block.
