Okay everybody welcome back to learn with minecraft education and today we are going to be looking at rails powered rails minecarts and redstone torches and we’re going to be putting those all together into a project build we’re going to be asking a student to build a Rollercoaster pretty cool a lot of them enjoy this project now before we start let’s just have a look about at how these rails work so let’s grab just a regular rail from our inventory now you will See that if I have a block missing here and I place it on the Block lower down I can get that to slope downwards and likewise with gradients they’re ascending if I just put it on the next Block up there you go the rail will go up that gradient there now using this principle we can create rollercoasters but the last principle of this is powered rails so if I put down a few power Drills and put a redstone torch next to those you will see that they light up and if I put a minecart on those give a little push the powered rails just power the mine cart along slightly now what we’ve done is taken that a little bit further and created this some rollercoaster So let’s let’s pop down I’m sorry miss sheep I have to get you out of the way wait please mr. sheep so I’m gonna pop down a minecart here and just send this through the tunnel here now it’s Powered rail that takes it through the tunnel up the slope drops down here up the spiral falls off underneath the diamond tunnel back around on top of the diamond tunnel and backgrounds where we started so obviously your students will have a lot of fun constructing these rollercoasters But also learning about the principles of rails powered rails and so on one very important thing to note is that if you want to go around corners like so when you join its corner a powered rail Won’t let you do that we need to have a regular piece of rail okay apart from that powered rail will do the job and the redstone torches will tend to light up around five or six power rails At a time so you need to just like over here you need to space them out it won’t light up the whole track with one redstone torch especially once it’s gone around the corner it won’t light it At all so do spaced out those redstone torches but feel free to give a project like this to some of your students you’ll find it it gets them really enthused and excited about building and like I said it also teaches them the rudiments of minecarts rails and powered rails and redstone Torches as well so learning through having fun and building now please do like and subscribe to the channel is going to be lots of project builds like this they’re going to help your students learn about the components of Minecraft so like I subscribed stay tuned and thank you very much you Video Information
