RubberRoss – Our Minecraft Mod is INCREDIBLE!!

What’s up everybody i just got out of the shower i’m ready to do this the next showcase of crips and creepers we’ve been waiting for this for a while uh so if you don’t know what’s going on uh we as a community are developing a minecraft mod

That is going to essentially be a a way to run something akin to a dungeons and dragons campaign tabletop campaign inside of minecraft we’ve done a lot uh so far we’ve done uh we did a showcase of the the mushroom race uh today if you didn’t know there’s we got a

Different races we’re doing different showcases of all of them but today we are doing the monkey race we also have a special guest with us today uh we have kraken um good buddy of mine kryken is uh is joining for the showcase hello hi ryan hi what’s up hello rose what’s

Up guys how’s it going welcome troubleshooting with virus right now oh this fire is going to join us in monkey land well eventually potentially if you guys want to keep doing that i i will quickly show what the team’s been doing uh before we jump into the showcase proper

Like i said there’s gonna be some uh dungeon mastering tools my hair is standing up what is going on i guess i’m just gonna be an anime boy today and have a little little bit of a cowlick um anyway uh the team has made big developments in

Uh how to do the dm tools i want to show you it’s really cool uh so let me see cause some stuff won’t be in the showcase obviously so i’m gonna try and find it hold on one sec so i’m gonna find it okay here it is so

This is the this was the one of the earlier examples of dm’s possessing uh monsters but in this case pig And then you become the pig so dms will be able to take over uh npcs in the in the map so you can be the piggy and then this has got i wasn’t i wasn’t aware things were uh going moving this fast because now we got this this is really cool

Uh where’s my button there we go this little guy And the the head tracks too so we can actually yeah we can actually uh that it’s amazing it’s so cool so you can actually take control of of of units now i just thought this is the cool isn’t this just so cool um so it’s it’s it’s it’s really impressive

What the team’s already uh managed to get together uh as well as that is um i’ll show this while we’re waiting for uh fires um we also have been working on i guess the i don’t fully understand this one i believe this is an attempt to trying to get the

Uh the music running in game um because that’s like a whole thing in itself right so like so we’re able to set up the regions to play like different songs happy one year thanks for all the content and smiles because we have a lot of cool composers

Instead one thing we’re looking at doing is that in the world you can find uh um note sheets right like like music sheets and then you can give them to a bard and the bard will be the thing that actually plays them so the bard will be in the tavern and

Then the tavern will you can the he’ll act as the uh as the music box yeah so instead of vinyl discs you’ll give little you’ll give them you’ll give them music sheets and they’ll play little songs for you isn’t that cool welcome everybody welcome uh stream welcome to the uh the monk showcase

Like different regions that are like kind of racial specific we have some sub regions that aren’t like tied to any particular race too i broke i broke one of the chairs trying to get up the chair you broke that chair all right so where to first guys this monkey roll rice hut

Okay small house oh this is very cute very comfy yeah we’re cozy i like that i now live in the rice height now get out of my house oh it’s great yeah this is a humble bird kid so this is just like you’re you’re like a like a rice farmer’s like hut

Okay we’re going this way now will the mod have mounts no we decided against mounts at least for the like the the main chunk of the gameplay we we have no interest in mounts because we don’t want to cheapen the world especially no flying mounts it looks so good with all of the

Additional assets that are put on like the food and the cups and the beds oh an orangutang yeah look at this guy oh i love the variety monkeys yeah yeah that’s so cool oh i love him i saw him in the discord yeah he’s very good i love the orangutans

He’s cool he’s got a nice place yeah lovely lovely home is there any like example of the kind of dialogue that they’re thinking for these npcs are i think uh not quite yet um we’re mostly just focusing on the aesthetic right now right right world building but yeah

We’ll eventually have like like flavor text with them and stuff um we we’ve even been thinking that potentially we could do voice acted npcs um but yeah it really depends on like if it maybe would have like major quest lines have be voice acted and then lesser ones be uh like text

Because we all have books on the mind a bit too much oh so these are just like oh my god these are all the different constellations they see but they’re all be related because only the bees care about the sky yeah oh my god so cute

Yeah i really love the concept that like constellations are all just you know relative to human like culture yeah that look like sword i know that this is incredibly cool this is very very cool they call them constellations no installations that’s so good this is so this it’s so big

Like that i don’t know i i’m just thinking kind of like long-form role-play yeah yeah yeah absolutely yeah we like a monk monkey character that like you know this is where he like they train and they always kind of live we can definitely um characters to like

Certain locations once we have like a lot of the lore fleshed out like if this is like a particular monastery like maybe oh there’s one of the guards oh oh he’s coming through wow big big gun that’s a lad that’s a laughing make wave a big guy

Um wide load yeah no we can definitely uh work that into the lore for like characters and like give people like a little bit of backstory so they like you can be from this monastery or you can be from this monastery because i think a lot of the the the potential

Is like the the role play of your adventuring group like going into the game actually going back and then having because that’s that’s where the dms would come in to be like take control of like characters that are supposed to be from there like and then run like a campaign that that

I was like i’d get this cane out which lets you um which lets you use like place the mobs and such right and i’d be like uh right click like change the animation to like a walk and i’d possess it right before you guys got in there um it was seamless i didn’t

Even suspect it yeah yeah a performance for the ages that was good i had no idea bravo yeah he made my life healthy fires is chasing you and you’re trying to get out of the mobs and he couldn’t always make that’s how that worked out that’s so

Uh the turtle has more animations i think right right yeah yeah so for the walking acropolis i only made two for this one so i got the walk and then we’ve got the one where it hides into its shell wow that’s amazing that is awesome that’s so good
