Ryder the First – Minecraft Witchery Mod 1.7.10 Part 1 – Getting Started

Hello YouTube right of the first year and today I am back with a new mod showcase today I am showcasing a mod called witchery and this mod is a mod that adds magic and witchcraft into Minecraft as suggested by the name witchery and it adds all kinds of different types of witchcraft like

There’s a you can make potions all kinds of new potions in potions all kinds of new potions you can summon demons um you can cast spells it’s really cool so why don’t we go ahead and get started so um first thing you’re going to want to do

Coming into this is probably going to be craft of witches oven and sorry I tabbed out my mistake there so the craft of witches oven oops I forgot that I am cheat mode so you need 5 iron ingots and two iron bars to craft a witches oven

And then you’re just going to pop that down you’ll need some fuel you’ll need some clay pots which a soft clay jar is crafted with for clay like so and then you smell some and you get clay jars so go ahead and toss those both in there

And then you’re going to need wood or saplings and I usually prefer saplings so once you start smelting that up after a moment or so it’s going to give you wood ash and every single sapling has a chance of giving you one of these of a type based on the sapling oak

Saplings give you exhale the horn once but you have to have clay jars in in there to get these and I don’t remember what all of them give you should save the nei though yeah this one gets breath of the goddess this one gives hint of

Rebirth so on and so forth I won’t go through all of them right now okay so you’ve got that and we’re going to hang on to this we’re just gonna let the smelt right now I’m gonna go and let smoke sapling smell that’s not this isn’t the first thing you need but this

Is a good thing to have early on it’s one of your first blocks to craft because you’re going to need a lot of the different stuff that it gives you so the next thing you’re going to want to do is go ahead just start bashing grass I should probably get here because I’m

Going to get attacked by monsters I can feel it so just start bashing grass and what you’re looking for here are a few different types of seeds and once I’ve got a decent amount of all the seed types on my feed or actually I think that’s all still

This one season there it is again see like that house off I was off no one second thought there’s a lot okay so still looking for one more from the blue scene you see at my inventory but that’s ok uh doesn’t look like seems like they’re kinda rare but that’s fine

Because they’ll drop seems more frightening so once you got those the next thing you’re gonna want to do is plant them who woulda guessed buzz off so go ahead and find some water or make your own water whatever whatever you prefer you you do you just like that

Just harvest up a good amount of area blank plankton and you’re gonna long you’re gonna want to go ahead and plant everything that you got because you’re going to use all of it so Wolfsbane is one of the drops you can get you can get five different sea drops

Snowbell water artichoke which is actually planted directly on a water source Mandrake which is arguably the most important out of all of these and belladona which in case you guys didn’t know is a seriously deadly poison so let me grab bonemeal and I can just pop this all up to max growth

And we can move on tank it’s both this will spank gross slow okay so once you got a little bit of everything you’re gonna go and start harvesting your snowballs did not get seeds for that did not get any seeds for that that’s unfortunate so yeah you’re gonna you’re gonna need a

Good amount of snow bells so I would farm up these as well as everything else because you do need a lot of them there we go see that double my seeds all right then you got your belladonna’s these should all drop belladona flowers and a chance of dropping seeds you can plant

Those these you need less commonly in the early stages but you do need them um you got your water artichokes which you really don’t need in the early game but they will come in handy a little bit later on and finally your Mandrake’s now these ones are a pain and that’s why

When you harvest them they have a chance at spawning this thing which just runs around and screams giving you a nausea effect until you kill it now I don’t believe they spawn at night but they do spawn during the day so I’ll switch tonight just to show that I did

Not need to sponsor this is a problem okay that’s one down okay so if I switch it tonight quick if I switch it tonight if I switch it to thank you if I switch it tonight real quick and break them you can see the Mandrake’s do

Not spawn but the monsters do so you know don’t feel like dealing with that but you’ll need a decent amount of Mandrake seeds so now once you’ve got that stuff why’d you run going to want to do is you’re going to want to craft some anointing paste and this stuff is

Crafted with one water artichoke seed one manager exceed one Snowbell seed and one belladona seed and this is a shaped crafting recipe I believe let me test that real quick so if I recall was not like this that I could I mean Ella Dona divinity bull spank No Snowbell Snowbell okay

So you’re just going to want to throw those in your crafting grid we see if it’s shapeless it is shapeless okay according to the wiki it wasn’t shapeless but you know this one then you’re going to want to cauldron toss down a cauldron just right click it with

Anointing paste you’ve got a witch’s cauldron oh my Tory’s getting crowded now what you want to do with your witch’s cauldron fill it with water BAM it takes I think four buckets to fill might be three it’s three three buckets to fill our water and I don’t

Recall if this thing needs a source of heat or not if it does I’ll fix it but once you’ve got that you’re going to need to make some mutandis and that’s crafted by tossing the Mandrake root one of those exhale of the horn ones we saw earlier and an egg into a witch’s

Cauldron I’m going to need eggs and I think this thing actually does require heat as furnaces often do so if I light it up let’s find out yep carzy that’ll cause it start boiling then let me go grab some of my exhale the horn once from this pot up here

Grab some those run on down here and then you’re going to go ahead and just toss in the ingredients so you want a Mandrake root an egg oh it is ordered so Amanda root then an exhale then an egg then you right click shift right wing Oh

Okay left click ah there we go it just needs to boil I guess let me fill it up and test that very good great so if I toss mandrake exhale egg and I think you just need to wait just let it grow and yep so you just need to let it rip

So then you’ve got yourself some mutandis since you got me tandice you’re going to watch Cheers so mu tan this is a really fun nifty little tool you take it and you right-click any plant in the world and it changes it to a random new plant we’re looking for a specific one here

This one Spanish moss the first thing you’re going to need and you’re going to want to share that now the nice thing about Spanish moss is once you’ve placed it it’ll spread down just like normal moss so like if I go plant this on the

Tree over here to do okay let’s just go ahead and cheat in some more so I didn’t you give all that grows and I’ll show you guys a little bit later on that I look grown out a little bit so once you’ve got Spanish moss you can go ahead and start crafting these

Things called puppets and we’ll go over a few of these but first let’s go around a craft so your regular old puppet is crafted with four wool a string a bone needle into Spanish moss and a bone needle is just a bone in a Flint and

Then I’ll meet you eight bone heals so that’s pretty cheap so then you can take this puppet and by itself this puppet does nothing however it can be used to craft all different kinds of puppets and I’ll go over what all of them do the earth protection puppet prevents you

From fall damage the water protection puppet prevents you from drowning the hunger protection puppet doesn’t let you go hungry fire protection puppet also self-explanatory the Voodoo protection puppet this one’s a little bit more complex and I’ll go over this a little bit a little bit later the puppet protection puppet again

I’ll go over it a little bit later the Voodoo puppet this one when used on another player allows you to mess with them and I will show you how this works shortly I will bring in a friend and I will use it on it the tool protection

Puppet this one I don’t remember so we’ll come back to it the armor protection puppet doesn’t let your armor break I believe it unequip sit right before it breaks I actually think that’s what the tulle protection pop it does too I’ll have to double check that the death protection puppet this one does

Exactly what it says it does it only does it once though and then it breaks the vampiric puppet this one will go over with another player to the alluring skull is not a poppet so that’s all the poppets so why don’t we go over all these single-player

Problems it’s just so we’ve got the earth protection puppet the water protection top of the fire protection puppet The Hunger Protection puppet tool protection puppet – protection puppet booty protection actually that one gets clear so does complete a puppet I’m here at puppet puppet protection puppet armor protection puppet and then for that

We’re going to need tag lock kits these things are used to actually bind to pop it to a player and these are crafted with just a glass bottle and a bone needle and we’re going to want seven of these okay then normally you would right click

On the player you want to assign these to but obviously I can’t really do that because I’m the player so solution to that you’re going to want to take a bed that you’ve slept in okay wait first turned on and once it’s been slept in you can use that to collect

Blood of the player that slept in it c7 bound Tagalog kits to speed spider three then we combined all of these two myself and it’ll tell you that it’s bound to that player and now all of these will work and we’ll go through them one at a

Time okay go and save this as two now let’s start with you so if I go in to create a mode just fly on up now go into survival mode that’ll consume that poppet but prevent me from taking any fall damage okay I’ll do the water protection puppet this one

It’s pretty easy to understand you just kind of got a leap into some water I’ll be right back without drink okay then maybe I misunderstood all right so I wasn’t entirely wrong I just looked up it saves you from death by drowning doesn’t save you from drowning damage

The way I remembered it being was that it would slowly take durability but you would not take damage however if we let myself take some damage and bam it consumes it refills your breath and saves you from drowning so that’s the water protection puppet fire protection puppet saves you from fatal fire damage

But Flint steel BAM okay still on fire though so there’s that there’s water here so I could not be on fire skew player okay the armor protection poppet can I jump up what’s going on there we go the armor protection poppet as I recall this one just prevents your armor from

Being broken and it’s free it’s not called armor so let’s get boots because they have the lowest durability oops actually gold probably the most durability out of all the boots and then we can spawn something like a creeper no because there’s a good chance of creeper

Would kill me let’s just turn it tonight ambi so uh Jesus durability okay so these are going to break any second good lesson he loses interest in me there we go and it refills them in the the armor protection pop it got consumed and the armor was refilled to full durability

Okay now next pop it to a protection pop it does the exact same thing so I’m not going to show it off the death protection poppet this one’s pretty self-explanatory like that now excuse you again the left protection pop it’s pretty self-explanatory saves you from one fatal anything and and the

Hunger protection poppet this one will save you from fatal hunger damage and give me just a minute and I will show that off can’t eat it because I’m 100 that’s actually really ironic okay oh just second guys okay guys this should be activating momentarily here

Got a little sick of trying to get my hundred down because my saturation was so high so I just applied ten minutes longer to myself to go out okay there we go so as soon as I start taking damage from hunger Wow hunger applies name was

Really slow there we go and then it get puts me back up to full and oh that does not clear the hunger effect luckily milk does glug glug glug glug glug okay there so that’s all of the singleplayer puppets now I’ll be back in just a few minutes I’m going to go pull

Off back off ah you stop that if I get myself some bone needles what’s this ladies and gentlemen this is funny okay consume to get you consumes bone needles from your inventory back off I’ll break your farm now another interesting thing if I go ahead and just submerge myself in water stay back

We just got to wait I’m gonna start drowning but you know it’s fine oh crap I didn’t even do that actually you know I just leave that if I mom stay again No okay back off stay back now that bone needle thing only does half a heart of damage I think

But you know okay here we go he’s drowning I’m drowning but so is he I got ready now this one is also pretty fun see him over there hey hey Brian oh it didn’t work Oh No have to get another voodoo puppet what so maybe I have to ha

Supposed to be able to light you on fire just by tossing your poppet in that but I guess that one doesn’t work anymore unless the unless I have to submerge myself with the poppet so let’s go ahead and get me a fire resistance potion and another voodoo puppet so I can try again

Probably no Tagalog kit from Brian that’s fine I’ll go Oh No okay Brian you ready are you on fire yet no but I’m in the water back there we go you just have to hold you just have to hold let right click in into the fire I’m alive again

Okay Brian there’s one more that we have to play with actually there’s two more so I need another tag lock of you can you not kill me okay I need you not look at me don’t look at me don’t let me do it if you’re looking at me so we got a

Lot buying you do protection puppet we’ve got to bind another voodoo poppet and I actually need one more tag walk it come here Bay where’d you go I’ll set you on fire again don’t look at me here we go okay and there we go so real quick let’s go over the Voodoo

Protection puppet Brian take this what so what that does is while that’s in his inventory if I try to use my voodoo puppet on him I’m gonna get struck by lightning it keeps him safe from my voodoo powers unless unless he’s standing next to me while I strike

Myself with lightning that is so that’s what the voodoo protection Papa does now let’s get on to my personal favorite the vampiric puppet this one requires two tag walks so a protect D and a target right now I set myself as the protectee and him as the target the way you do

That is the top left the top leftmost slot is the protectee and the next slot to the right or below it is the target so now Brian punch me do it hey Ali kid was slayed by Ali kid and that’s what the vampiric puppet does you know what’s funny Brian I could choose

To just do something like this no no no no it doesn’t work punch me here hang on check this one out Brian you might want to back off what are you that’s the vampiric puppet ladies and gentlemen as long as I’ve got this working and on me he can’t touch me

In fact nothing except on my urn mental damage can touch me because he takes all the damage now the vampiric puppet can actually be bound well actually all of the puppets can be bound to more than just players you can actually bind them to animals so if you wanted you could

Okay Brian just lost his Voodoo puppet privileges but that’s the Voodoo puppet which is it’s tons of fun the whole puppet system it’s not too fun there’s one more thing that y’all should be aware of with puppets you can actually craft a puppet shelf and it’s kind of

Expensive but once you’ve got it crafted you can set it down and then you can put I think up to 8 puppets on there and then those puppets will work on you from anywhere in the world is it ten puppets it’s actually nine puppets you can put

Nine puppets on there and then those puppets will work on you from anywhere in the world as long as the puppet shelf is loaded actually it might not even have to be loaded but I don’t really know um whereas normally they’d have to be in your inventory for its count can
