Journey go gently one beacons nearby just outside of the shroud’s grasp so yeah we can upgrade our alter strengthen the flame with all kinds of different items that we’ll need to do that but upgrading this we’ll have to get a shroud core which is uh you get

That from defeating a boss so we have to go save somebody but we’re going to have to make ourself a place to live so let’s craft some items here so pickaxe an axe uh let’s see construction Hammer is also important and we also need a workbench too so let’s let’s make some

String and make that workbench there we go all right so the workbench I’ll just put right there for now and then we can make ourself rough wood blocks rough stone blocks and the the building of this game I kind of played a little bit off stream like it it’s pretty great like

The the building is pretty um extensive in terms of how you can for uh you can shape your houses so I’ll show you guys in a second cuz no we didn’t really get into it all too much like I built kind of a bigger house with for mango and I

To live in but since I’m playing by myself I can build kind of a smaller home but I can show you how it’s going to work out so what I want to do is I want to use um rough wood blocks for their floor so we’re going to make quite a few

Of these just that way we have enough and the same goes for the rep Stone blocks too so if I get my construction hammer and I press tab so I can select the shape with what I want to build select the materials that we have at our disposal and we can open

The submenu to select from different shape categories as it lays out there so what I want to do is make a stone foundation and when I place this block it’ll actually dig out a space underneath that as well unless I actually have it all the way up here at

The top which I don’t want to do that I kind of want to put it into the ground a little bit so I’m going to put a little bit right uh let’s see yeah put it back a little bit so we’re going to raise it up to

There and I’m just going to build kind of a small small shape here for the house and we’ll run out eventually but the cool thing about this is that we can actually some of these you can go in intervals here and it’ll only take a

Little bit out of it it won’t take all the material necessary so like if I did a little corner here which if I go up this way I can just literally Place one at a time instead of just a block or even a larger block if I want to as well

Like this big this big space right here so there’s different sizes you can make you can even design the way that you want it as well it’s just it’s really cool how you can do this All right so I’m going to get my pickaxe I’m going to go get more

Stone it is nighttime so we want to be careful here that time came quick quicker than I thought actually probably CU we were exploring a lot more than I was thinking yeah it doesn’t take too much Stone to actually get the other to get the blocks

Crafted it only takes two so this will be totally fine because I’m going to actually do something with this once I build enough of the floor out so something something like this essentially it’s going to be kind of a small square not not really a square but kind of a small small house

Yeah and I’m going to do a little I was thinking maybe if I did yeah cuz I want to bring this out by a couple more blocks too which there’s actually Stone here that I could pick up so I can dismantle some smaller rocks like as

Long as long as they’re not big boulders I won’t need to use my pickaxe to break them all right that should be enough now so I’m going to place this here and I’m just going to leave it like that have that small bit here all right

So the cool thing is I can actually do the one little block at a time and I’m going to just go ahead and delete these pieces here and I can dig out a little divot here where it’s still encasing it’s still encased with the stone as you can see but what I’m going

To do is replace this layer of stone with wood I mean look how cool that that is and I can just hold this down to do it fast to to remove them a lot faster and in case I accidentally break another one underneath I mean it’s totally fine I

Could always replace it with the stone block cuz we get all of our materials back when we dismantle something that we build we can pick it back up we can remove it just like this that’s an enemy over there I don’t like that yeah I like this is probably one of the

Best features in the game so far that I mean I I’m typically like a a building per I’m the Builder when it comes to survival games when I’m playing with friends or by myself I typically enjoy building so having feature a feature like this it’s it’s just it’s pretty awesome

So all right so I’m going to switch to to the rough wood block and what I could honestly do instead is get a flat piece here and this could just cover the entire space here and it doesn’t actually take over the corners here which I like as well I like so much it

Makes it easy so much easier so we have something like this which I think is really cool so then we can build up the walls to which um there like doorways we could do too but this doorway is bigger than actually it’s actually not as big as I

Thought but I’m going to do the block one little block at a time because not for the whole wall not all the walls but just for the doorway cuz I kind of know what I want it to look like yeah you can even um remove the

Walls here and you can make them smaller if you want to you can have a shorter I think you have a shorter wall I believe if it’ll allow you to do that but I don’t see why you would want to do that to be honest I mean there’s also like the half wall

Here and I yeah they have this too which that’s for more like a door door frame yeah you can make it as high as you want you can even go so far as to just do one little block at a time but that’s that would take forever

So we’re not going to do that so I’m just going to build normally just like this and you can actually have these pieces collide with each other as well and they’ll just snap together and it won’t use all the material if you have it colliding because it recognizes like

Science but I will say the game is much more bearable to play than what it was before right I’m going to bring this out by one old there we go and the the other thing too is that we can collect dirt and it’ll do the same exact thing like

And a lot of these actually connect with each other depending on what path you’re going to go through so like I’m trying to remember what game this reminds me of this kind of reminds me of like Final Fantasy 10 cuz Final Fantasy 10 does the same thing with the with getting

Upgrades and skills just the way that this tree is I’m I’m sure other plenty of other games do that like MMO RPGs plenty of them also do that too this kind of reminds me of Skyrim a little bit too with the trees but these are all these can all interconnect with

Each other so I’m going to go down the wizard path but also get um some bonuses from other parts as well uh so when I was playing with mango I wanted to go down the wizard path here so so I’m going to get Spirit which increases your spirit attribute by one increases Mana

By 20 per attribute point so we have that one and we can actually get any one of these too you only need three SEC three instead of 6 seconds to revive an ally but that’s only if we’re playing with another person but also here with uh the Survivor tree the Beast Master

Tree you get increases your endurance attribute by one increases stamina by 10 per attribute point which we definitely need a lot of stamina to fight and run around the world so and I’m trying to figure out if dexterity uh for Ranger like getting more damage from range attacks actually

Counts towards your wand that you use cuz technically the wand is ranged so I would assume that it counts for that so I mean I wouldn’t mind giving it a try and technically we can reset our skills at the flame alter we just need certain coins for that though so all right we

Need to find the sleeping Survivor which is down here or well he’s not down he’s actually where this um if I can find it where that big old Tower is right there and we need to craft a grappling hook and to craft a I don’t think we can make one yet can

We manual crafting Shields wand staff I know in here you oh here it is so I need four more shroud spores I need more metal scrap I could just don’t we have metal scrap or did I CH swarm we had metal Scrap all right well time to get more spores so we can go into the Shroud and start start fighting things to get more spores he didn’t have any spores I can also dig in the ground here and get some melium which is kind of a it’s a new material

Which unlocks different types of blocks here we go all right so let me get my pickaxe and I’ll just hit that mycelium and we can make mycelium over grown blocks so we unlock that we can also just destroy the rubble here and we get Rubble which I assume we

Can turn Rubble into like stones or something for that matter all right but we do need metal scrap we do need to find a bit of metal scrap here for the grappling hook so the best way to get what we need is probably going down into more of the

Shroud so the bridge over here is pretty much the path that we need to go but we can’t get across unless we have a grappling hook and I’m pretty sure it’ll tell us that too brillin Bridge you can’t proceed with without a grappling hook here seek a path through the Shroud

Instead okay which there is technically a path over there there’s like a ramp that goes up and I assume that it wants us it wants us to go this way to go down into the Shroud and get across but we have to be careful though cuz in the Shroud you can’t really see

That well and we can also sleep too if we want Captain’s Journal day six the Raiders have besieged us these past 2 days attacking from the bridge their eyes such Madness we have withheld so far but only just we may not survive the next assault I’ve ordered to rig the
