Welcome back to the scuttlebutt tavern podcast i’m justin that’s adam and we’re probably going to get down on a little bit of minecraft vr maybe some new generation like generation zero whatever the [ __ ] it’s actually called it’s new to me damn it yeah and possibly even a little bit of frisbee golf right

Wrestling’s still real to me damn it let’s get into this you think those biters out there are dangerous All right so we’re back again and uh man it’s kind of it’s kind of crazy that minecraft has finally made the jump to vr i just i kind of feel like they should have probably done this a little sooner than what they did yeah yeah i remember when vr popped up ps4 vr

There was this dumb game i’ve purchased it and i played it one time called discovery it’s supposed to be like minecraft and vr and it is not and it is terrible and it’s not worth [ __ ] with and i have been contemplating deleting it but it’s like yeah i already bought it

Whatever it’s a small file but now that we got minecraft and vr for real i don’t ever have to look at that game again hooray awesome and it’s cool but it’s interesting because i didn’t think that would happen you know what with microsoft owning the rights to

Yeah you know to to minecraft and [ __ ] and yeah it’s it’s gonna be i don’t know it’s kind of counter-intuitive for me with microsoft or mojang or whoever making that decision just because the ps5 is coming up yeah and if folks know that they’re gonna be able to play i mean ps5 is

Coming right up so if people are recognizing that they can play minecraft and vr now that might be incentive for some fools to buy the ps5 because they’ll have the vr headset with that thing and then be able to play minecraft and vr and then you just won’t on xbox

They’re not even gonna have a vr support system no they won’t have anything like that and uh that’s weird i don’t know maybe it’s microsoft’s way of saying i’ll still make some money off of this vr [ __ ] of yours without having any vr right or maybe they’re just waiting until like

The vr technology gets to like a really good point before they start actually producing it themselves and getting into the game maybe but like it’s taking them so long that like they would either need to make their product vr only like whenever it pops up

And have their [ __ ] be just a vr device or they’re going to need to hurry up and actually like crank one out or they’re not going to be able to yeah like because it’s it’s popping up on like you know it’s the infancy stages on ps4

But by the time ps5 rolls out and they introduce the vr setup for that like we’ve already gone through two oculuses the ps4 vr headset and then the 2.0 version so they like upgraded it a tiny bit and then ps5’s headset will be out right they’ll they’ll be missing the

Mark if they don’t hurry up and and also don’t forget that there’s also the five that’s out there too so there’s multiple platforms for this already to be on well and also what they majors end up doing is just making titles for existing vr uh systems like uh

Oculus and like the vive i mean they’ll probably end up making some stuff that’s probably compatible for the ps5 but that’s just because it’d be compatible uh across platforms yeah i think that like microsoft probably has vr titles on oculus and stuff like that because it’s for the pc yeah but

For xbox to have its own vr i just don’t see it happening yeah i can’t imagine what it would look like or what kind of games they would really try to put on there that were exclusive i don’t know i feel like it wouldn’t be a good idea but

Whatever yeah i feel like either it wouldn’t be a good idea or it’d be exactly exactly like the oculus quest pretty much it would that’s probably all there is yeah and then it’s like gonna be exactly like the oculus quest there’s a conundrum there because like

Now you really need to have some like exclusive titles that make a [ __ ] because otherwise people are just gonna buy the oculus because it’s already out yeah unless they just straight up by the company yeah who knows they actually might do something dumb like that they’re in the

Middle doing dumb [ __ ] like that uh microsoft just purchased uh bethesda recently yeah so i don’t know what that means for the next sky ernest skyrim but the next elder scrolls game or the next fallout i don’t know if that’ll mean they won’t pop up on the ps4 or

Five but i know that they already [ __ ] the bed some on that because like they’ve made a fallout 4 vr yeah but they didn’t release it on the ps4 and it’s like that’s insanely dumb because bethesda released skyrim vr yeah so like what on earth i don’t get it and you know skyrim

On the vr on like it got me back into playing skyrim again because it was one of those things to where like i had played through skyrim well not like all the way through i i usually hit this spot to where i would hit like level 25

30 and then from there i would usually find like a new game to play like a new game would come out or something like that or you know so i would always just kind of put it down by the time i would come back i’d either sold the game or sold the

Console that i was you know had it on or and then finally i was like it kind of came back to the whole like minecraft thing i don’t want to buy minecraft again right you know it’s just like i’m i’m kind of like done with playing minecraft now that there’s minecraft vr

It’s like uh yeah it’s a little tougher to not play it i mean it just comes down to even like just making a small like hut or whatever it’s just a lot cooler to be inside it feels more like you’re indoors then like the moon actually shines in

Your eyes some you’re kind of like oh you know it’s brighter this direction and like the thunder’s loud as [ __ ] it’ll scare you and a creeper popping up on you is much more you know frightening yeah it’s like oh god damn i gotta get other this thing’s gonna blow me a bit

And those [ __ ] phantoms attacking you at night when you’re not looking that usually startles you quite a bit too it’s just a lot more immersive it’s it’s just what the game needed exactly so i mean it’s given me like sort of like the the minecraft itch again

But i don’t know i mean i may have to like just hold off for a little while yeah you know just kind of like i’m gonna i’m gonna keep playing some other games right because i still want to get through generation zero because i’m starting to get like fairly far

Into it uh like and i’m i’m finding some like crazy ass big ass [ __ ] robots that just kill the [ __ ] out of me yeah like i i rolled up onto this farm and at first i was like okay this is kind of handleable there’s just like one big ass

Robot i can kind of deal with that and i started getting up closer and then there was like [ __ ] i saw like two of those like hunter robots that were just like walking around i’m like okay i don’t want to go this way because there’s this

Big ass robot and those two dudes with you know just walking around and i’m out in the open i don’t have any cover so if i start this fight here i’m just gonna get lit up and killed so i ended up just going all the way around to the other side

And when i got there and i started rolling up onto this barn [ __ ] there was like seven of those dogs that came out and i’m like holy [ __ ] and there was like two of the little flying sentry little drones and i’m like [ __ ] me and i ended up like

Shooting one of the drones when it got a little bit too close but it’s far enough away from everything else to where it didn’t really like kind of cause them to like alert or anything yeah so i was able to like take care of that and then get close

Enough to where when i started fighting i could actually get inside the barn and i it took me forever just to [ __ ] take care of all the like the hunters and the [ __ ] little dog robots and once i took care of those ones there was like one that was still

Outside that was just like hucking rockets at me and i couldn’t see where it was at because it was just on the side of the barn that didn’t have any doors or anything so i had to come out and like look and shoot and then like dip back in before

Like it would shoot rockets at me and i ended up just getting [ __ ] killed by rockets after [ __ ] like destroying the [ __ ] playing field it’s like oh thanks thanks phoenix but it’s it’s getting it’s getting pretty interesting it’s a fun game i it’ll never happen but i think that

Game would be incredible in vr it would be it would be the best i mean the graphics are just wonderful the day and night cycles and just the way everything looks inside of it it’s just it looks great and it’s [ __ ] it’s hard as [ __ ] well it’s got that kind of like desolate

Like you’re all alone by yourself in the world sort of thing going for it so like the environment’s not exactly like thriving or or doing a ton you know it’s not busy but like if you were in it yourself in vr that would make that make more sense yeah because you’re actually there

You’re physically out in the open in the wild there’s not going to be a [ __ ] ton of people there no in the woods you know if you’re up on a settlement and there were people not like everybody hadn’t already been driven out you might see a person or two but

That’s where the game makes more sense in vr because like oftentimes a title and it’s not in vr will just like like for instance uh like far cry 5 or something like that yeah the game’s loaded down with so many npcs they’re just standing around

And it seems like why are you here you know what exactly is going on here but no i do like the fact that they they typically sort of like arrange themselves right around some sort of like cover right around something like there’s usually a reason why they’re there

But i honestly i wouldn’t mind seeing like one or two more that just roam and that’s all they really do is like have like a pack that just roams yeah but you also come across so many like so much stuff so often that you really don’t need to have roaming robots

Because by the time you get out of contact with one set of robots you’re you’re pretty much getting in contact with another set so yeah and i’m pretty sure there are robots that like roam like i think they’re like individual a couple of robots that’ll like

Take off and look for you because if i’m not mistaken i think that there were like some that i had like on my map that i was keeping track of but like i kept trying to approach it it would get further away because it wasn’t like looking for me

Oh they were uh i think those are the the rivals that they put in there yeah i think those ones actually level up too that’s good that’s kind of cool so the longer you leave them out there the the harder they’re they’re gonna be to beat

Oh yeah that could suck if you take like way too long finding it yeah but also sometimes they just come across you like you’ll get into a giant skirmish and they’ll be just like kind of moseying on and they’ll come across a skirmish and get into it and then

All of a sudden now you’re taking care of some rivals too that’s cool so i mean i’ve had that happen to where it’s just like i’m in the thick of it and all of a sudden a little pop up the [ __ ] thing to where it’s like blah blah blah you know whatever

You know robot number it is has been you know destroyed and it’s like oh sweet there’s one of those dudes in here he’s been destroyed yeah yeah those dudes are usually a little bit tougher than the uh the regular guys but so far i haven’t

Had like too much of a problem with them no no they’re not like all that bad i suppose if they ran around for hours of game play and got much better than you it might be a different story but yeah i haven’t actually had that happen yet it seems like uh

I’m early enough in the game to where those things are pretty close to me still right or at least not that like not better than you right yeah they’re not getting [ __ ] they’re not pulling i don’t know if you remember on morrowind but on the like tribunal expansion there’s like that wood elf

In mournhold that asks you for like a hundred bucks and if you give him a hundred he’ll ask you for a thousand if you give him a thousand likes for ten and then [ __ ] 50 and then eventually a hundred thousand dollars yeah and uh just you should just never

Talk to this dude because no matter what happens you’ll end up fighting him and like he uh if you give him go to give him the hundred thousand bucks he just tells you you know what you’re making fun of me you know like you don’t actually have a hundred thousand bucks

I’ll show you and then if you never give him any money he’s like i’ll [ __ ] show you for not helping me and he’ll walk away and he’ll just appear there again one week later so you go do other [ __ ] next time you’re there and it’s been a week

Uh he’s there in [ __ ] fully enchanted like uh tribunal armor and uh he looks like one of those high ordinators and he’s [ __ ] leveled up like 50 times and uh he’ll crush you you have to spend your whole time running from that dude i spent hours of gameplay just getting across

There as quick as i could to like every time i came through town just so i didn’t have to fight him because he was that bad and i was like that’s not very fair why’d they get that why’d they let him level up that much you shouldn’t even talk to that dude

Unless you’re really really into the game if you’re really far well what if you just ran up and started hitting him um i if i’m not mistaken that doesn’t work either because the dude doesn’t actually just walk away so like what happens is like if you talk to him and he gets mad

Or you give him the money and he gets mad he’ll he’ll give you that message talking about i’ll show you and then as soon as it disappears he casts like a [ __ ] uh alms of the intervention and like disappears so like the second you put a hand on him that message will display

And he’ll disappear oh yeah it’s like god damn it look there he goes so like it’s just literally like and you got to just stay away from the dude because it’s not like you have to physically talk to him yourself he’ll approach you if you’re within like 20 feet

Oh yeah so you got to just get away for a minute so yeah that kind of sucks it does yeah you got to avoid that section of town until you’re a high-ass level because he goes and in one week gets up 50 levels and gets some [ __ ] you’re not gonna have

[ __ ] that yeah that’s not fair so at least you know i don’t feel like generation zero or most games are pulling that number on you no because that’s not fair but it’s kind of funny because you gotta do what you can to get away from that

Dude because like by that point in the game you know that’s the toughest of the two expansions they release for that game you should be pretty good already yeah but if you’re not really good then it’s not gonna matter i remember having beaten uh the blood moon expansion and i had the

Stall room mace made out of like see-through like crystal [ __ ] yeah i tried whaling on him with that and it wasn’t good enough and i was like uh-oh that was like the best weapon in the game you know like ebony and like really decent [ __ ] hit in the like 60s

And 70s and i think the stall room mace was like 89 or 90. this dude’s hitting you with [ __ ] does like 115 and has like [ __ ] enchantments on it god like see that’s where morrowind really got it right was the entrance oh yeah you could [ __ ]

Enchant [ __ ] yeah you’d go nuts if there were if you could just put a dollar amount on it and make it happen oh yeah there was like generally very little you couldn’t actually get done and that’s why i like the elder scrolls game for me like i wasn’t too

Pissed when i heard that like microsoft acquired bethesda because they haven’t been impressing me in many years because morrowind in many ways is better than all of the others and oblivion just not being in the snow and in the [ __ ] gray-ass mountains and being a lot more colorful

And having some more enchantments and things that you can do and i think at that point in time you still had like heavy light and medium armor instead of just the heavy and light i mean there were all sorts of things that still had going for it and then skyrim

You know is good but they’re just they take away so many shits you know you’re not able to levitate anymore there are no spears there’s no medium armor there’s yeah i can’t enchant things through the roof like i’d like to can’t even enchant things

By myself i have to be like at a table yeah it’s like oh you know you have to have some sort of workstation to be able to do it yeah which i mean that’s kind of okay in my opinion like i’m all right with having some sort of workstation

Yeah because i mean if you really kind of think about it you know having some sort of like enchanting table to where you have this is where you have to go in order to do it means that you can’t just like oh i’m fighting this boss i need this enchantment on

This thing you know you have to kind of come prepared for it yeah i think that like i think that i just got so rich in morrowind i didn’t really enchant my own [ __ ] i just brought it to a guy and like made him do it yeah but that’s where like

If i’m not mistaken because i think i think if you enchant things at a table in like oblivion it still costs money it’s like who am i giving that to you know like i don’t really get it there’s like a coin slide right i could be mistaken but i feel

Like i remember that because i do know you can’t just take things to a guy and have him do it anymore yeah which i mean i think you should be able to still do that yeah to be able but i also think that you should be able to

Surpass that guy with your own enchantment so you should be able to like level your enchantment up to be able to you know do better enchantments than the guy that you’re buying him from yeah but i think the the possibility of actually buying enchantments instead of just buying like an enchanted

Sword already yeah with a certain enchantment on it buying being able to buy the enchantment itself i think yeah that would have been a really good touch to the game that they didn’t actually have in there and i’d like to see that because that would have made enchanting a little bit

Different you know i mean you could even do like smithing the same way to where you know you could buy like certain smith armor that you wouldn’t necessarily be able to buy from like just the regular stuff yeah they kind of with skyrim being able to

Like armor your own stuff they kind of got over that because like you can make much better armor with your armoring skills than you can buy yeah if you’re like mastering that which i’ve never really gotten into because like i don’t know everybody swears by it it’s like oh go ahead

Go do all the armor stuff because you’ll have the best armor in the game and nothing can kill you ever and it’s like i don’t want that yeah that’s not fun for me and then you’re also spending all of your time dumping points into your armorer skill and spending all your time generating

Points for your armor skill tree by like making daggers like crazy like it’s got people mining in there and i don’t mind in skyrim i don’t run up to deposits smack them so i can go home and make 30 [ __ ] iron daggers yeah nope so like you know i’ll i’ll just do fine

I’ve beaten that game all through before i don’t have enough issue to where i need to not get killed in one hit or whatever right i fought the tough [ __ ] it didn’t really it’s not that big a deal and that’s a waste of time you know i hate it in the

Game whenever i have to like waste x amount of time doing a thing i don’t want to do just so i can have something yeah that sucks and especially to have something to where it just makes the game easy yeah like i mean i can understand making things a little easier

But it would have to be something that was super tough and i couldn’t handle in the first place and that’s not what’s going on here right kind of like that [ __ ] one dude morrowind yeah that would make sense to have like you know really [ __ ] badass dragon armor you know in order to

Go [ __ ] with that dude yeah that dude was a prick he uh i eventually beat him but it took a long time it was it was terrible that would have been the kind of game it’d have been cool if it functioned a little bit more like oblivion in skyrim to where people gave

A [ __ ] that he was like attacking you but they don’t like unless you start [ __ ] and it’s illegal nobody’s gonna do anything so like him attacking me is okay he’s like that sucks they should help me fight this guy because like i don’t know where he got

His armor he’s like you know the only other people that have that armor are like alma lexia’s like right hand man and she only has six of those dudes and it’s not this guy so i don’t know where he got that yeah it was weird he’s just

He’s just out there doing quests that you could have been doing there’s there’s that’d be funny if if that dude disappears and all of a sudden one of your quests like you cannot complete this quest anymore because this dude disappeared and did it yeah oh

I don’t like that’s fair i saw a funny morrowind meme the other day it showed a almalexia sothosil and vivec and sofacell’s like i’m gonna you know use my power to make crazy great things and almalexi’s like i’m gonna use my new powers to you know

Unite the people and then the show of effect and he’s like i’m gonna go [ __ ] something weird it’s like he’s making the like crazy face like it’s like okay dude that’s cool what are you gonna go [ __ ] i’m gonna go [ __ ] something weird okay that is using his powers the right way

Uh i didn’t get it i’m not sure why it popped up but it’s incredible it’s like i was trying to think about that and there’s only two things that could have been like he’s half high elf and half dark elf so maybe he’s referring to the

He’s banging stuff all the time but like he’s literally down the middle one half of him is one the other half the other and then i think if i’m not mistaken i was reading a book to where he like might have beastialiated like a kagudi like one of those like gross two-legged

Like tusk creatures that roams the countryside it’s like a guar but with tusks i thought i remembered him like i thought there was a book entry talking about him like spawning one of those or something like mating with it i can’t remember but it just pinged in my brain in a spot

When he said that and i was like it’s like there’s truth there somewhere i feel like that makes sense somehow like i think you [ __ ] weird things yeah that’s that’s correct yeah well he’s he’s the god of chaos right uh no vivek was like if i’m not mistaken i think he was the

Person that like birthed dark elves um oh man i’m trying to remember like his whole story i can’t remember much about him i think like him and degother were like comrades before he like went to war with him at like red mountain yeah um and i think vivec died at red mountain

After morrowind because i think they did it again and like morrowind exploded her red mountain exploded and i think they said no vivek just vanished he’d like abandon everybody that’s right he’s like ah oh yeah yeah [ __ ] this i’m out i’m gonna get out of here it’s kind of

Funny because it’s like he’s half dark elf and half high off but i can’t remember who he was like responsible for creating i can’t remember it’s been so long right to remember the lore yeah there is a lot of really good lore in those games but i think at that point

In time i also wasn’t really paying that much attention to that right i think i was more impressed by that being the first truly open world rpg i’d mess with yeah i was just doing things speaking of real world rpg [ __ ] some disc golf yeah real world this is some real world rpg

There’s road rules [ __ ] uh you actually lost your first desk yeah congratulations i did it’s a momentous occasion it’s a ride opacity it is yeah no luckily the one i threw and lost was pretty cheap but i couldn’t find it it hit a tool shed or something

Really loud and i couldn’t see it i went over to exactly where it hit and i just couldn’t find it i was like [ __ ] yeah that sucks whatever though that does suck man i’ve been i’ve been working on my putt game i’ve been i’ve been getting robbed here recently yeah

[ __ ] on some of the the throws there’s one throw i threw and i threw down i thought i threw i was trying to lay up a little bit or like try to throw it straight into the basket i didn’t want to get like too much height

Yeah well what ended up happening is i threw the disc and it hit the ground and it you know skipped and it [ __ ] came up and hit the lip of the basket no i’m like it’d always be cool to skip into the basket right and then i had another one

To where i threw it and it did like the little rim inside of it and like whoop just popped right back out and i’m like i’ve had that happen once because i’ve hucked it and i heard the chains and i saw it laying in the basket and i took my eyes

Off to pick up my driver and i looked up and i hit the ground i’m like hey what’s going on here there’s just a squirrel just jumps up there [ __ ] tosses it out get that out of here yeah yeah that weak [ __ ] yeah remember that time

You nearly took my head off well here you go yeah i hear that yeah we’re doing that now luckily lately i’ve been thrown in such a way that i’ll throw for the basket and if i miss i land right next to it and then because i was thrown way too hard

Like if i missed the basket i had to throw a shot from the exact same distance again yeah because i hit all the way on the other side of the basket it’s like god damn it dude it’s like and that’s when i start racking up fours and fives instead of like threes

It’s because i’ll throw miss and now i’m right in the exact same distance and then i’ll throw again and miss and it’s like dude there’s two huge unnecessary misses that i didn’t need right you know one of the things i’ve been noticing is whenever i step up to the tee and throw

Throw my two discs i’ll throw the driver first obviously but i’ll throw my putter second now half the time when i throw my putter i seem to get a better shot like it seems to get a little bit closer to the basket you know stays a little bit straighter

And i think i think that’s pretty decent and i’m liking that but i’m just kind of like trying to figure out how to like get that driver to go str a little bit straighter and a little bit more like low to the ground and just kind of cruise over there

I it has to be something with the technique because i know the power is there right i got enough power to be able to like put it over there because i’ve done that you know so it’s like especially on some of those longer courses like course three which is you know the one

With all the trees and it’s fairly far away i’ve you know i’ve gotten two in that i’ve birdied that one nice but i’ve noticed here lately i haven’t been throwing quite as far and i think for one thing that is the fact that i’ve gone back to the backhand instead of the forehand

But i also think that my forehand throws are a little bit more accurate you know i i have a little it seems like i have a little bit more control over the for uh over the backhand than i do the forehand just a little bit but

You know i don’t know it’s kind of a toss-up at this point you know and it’s uh i think what a lot of it has to do is i’m trying to like come out from underneath my armpit and i naturally want to like bring my arm

Up in order to like get you know some like height off of it just a little bit but that movement that slight movement is causing it to like really catch air yeah a lot of times when they do that too they’ll kind of go vertical and then they hit

The wind and go much less far because of that yeah and they’ll like curve around and go straight down yeah that’s another thing i’ve been having a lot of them do the whole like come up and then just beeline it into the ground yeah and i’m like oh that’s

Not good on my desk no i like to try and not do that anymore i’m pretty bad about doing that on the ninth hole because uh there aren’t really any trees in the way and i just throw that [ __ ] thing as hard as possible yeah but that used to be the only thing

I threw was tall [ __ ] sky bombers and that doesn’t work on a lot of holes that’s really problematic on like hole three because there’s trees the whole time oh yeah and you go up into there and you’re just going to not travel any distance at all

Right but i’m i’m having a hard time finding that sweet zone to where because if i throw it if i try to throw it straight i tend to like throw it into the ground right so so i’ll throw it half the distance with like the same amount of power that i would have

On the on like a long throw and it’s just like heck damn yeah that’s why i always have to watch trying to like if i notice i’m probably throwing a little bit too high then me adjusting it can [ __ ] me up and go straight into the floor

Yeah because it’s like i always try to just turn it ever so slightly and not adjust how high up my hand’s going i’m just trying to like fix the angle of the disc and like 30 percent of the time that’ll like make a good difference yeah and then the

Other percent of the time is just way too much like skid across the ground right now one thing that’s really helped me is i’ve changed up my grip instead of like gripping up onto the lip like how you would on like the fork forehand cast i’ve actually been putting my like index

Finger on the rim of the driver and then my uh middle finger and ring finger on like the flat part and not trying to like actually grip up onto the lip yeah and i think that’s something that’s given me more of a consistent release than uh

Than on the lip because i noticed like sometimes if i have it onto the lip when i throw it and i don’t neces i could release it at the right time but since it’s still like touching my finger it won’t necessarily come off my finger until it’s already kind of over here

And then it’ll be like shoot off off to this side i see which i mean that can be bad but usually it kind of comes back just because of the uh the you know the curve of the disc how how it flies yeah so usually it’s not that big of a deal

I did at one point on let’s see i think it might be the sixth hole the one that’s in the uh that back corner yeah yeah that has the two trees right in front of you and i threw one disc i threw my driver and i i landed it like right in between

The trees or something like that and so i went to throw my putter and when i threw my putter i i didn’t release it until it was like over here and that [ __ ] i was like shoot and it started going up and it started coming down

Towards the fence i’m like oh don’t go in the backyard don’t go in the back and it’s like packaging i’m like oh thank god it didn’t go in the backyard yeah dude it really sucks when they go in the backyard because it’s like they’re not expensive necessarily the discs but they’re just

Expensive enough to where it really [ __ ] pisses you off yeah and especially if you haven’t had it for very long you’re like right and that would have been my putter too so it’s like and see i i spent um on wednesday i was just using the driver i wasn’t using my putter

And i noticed my putt game was so shitty that day oh when you’re not using the putter yeah when i’m not using it it’s it’s so much harder to uh putt with the driver it’s incredible how big a difference that makes i i think it’s just because of the fact that

That putter likes to float yeah instead that that driver it wants to slice so at like lower speeds that [ __ ] driver will just like huh or like you know it it’ll kind of start carving its own path through the air it’s such a short distance too it’s like why

Yeah it’s like you’re you’re from me to the wall and you throw it and all it does is curve around the basket it’s like what in the [ __ ] yeah i didn’t even throw it that hard it’s like it just exactly missed it but i’ve had some pretty amazing putts with the driver though

Yeah i’ve gotten some all right ones i’ve definitely thrown with a putter and missed and gotten it with a driver a few times yeah but i think it’s almost it’s almost crucial to be throwing that [ __ ] dick thrown two discs it’s all like i feel like i mean unless you’re like playing

Competitively yeah you know then just throw one disc and you know that’s what you’re doing yeah but i think the whole like two-disc thing that’s that’s the best way to go especially if you’re practicing or just having fun or something like that that’s for sure because then you stand a

Chance you can’t you don’t just throw a disc fail and go oh god damn it okay well i guess i’m throwing from bum [ __ ] nowhere yeah i mean but i’ve had some i’ve had throws to where i’ll have i have them in two different spots one spot maybe uh closer but it’s in

Like behind a tree yeah and the other one’s more out in the open so i mean it does kind of create a little bit of a problem to where it’s like you do have to kind of choose which one you want because sometimes the closer one’s not the better shot

Yeah you might be able to get the shot on the longer one yeah i’ve had that happen for sure but it’s it is definitely it’s definitely interesting whenever you get to those like medium distant spots to where it’s like i could probably hit the basket from here but

There’s a really high chance i miss yeah and it’s it’s kind of a man it’s a hard thing to kind of like what do you do do you go for it you know do you i always go for it yeah usually because i’ll throw my putter from [ __ ] quite a ways away

Right [ __ ] you know 50 60 feet away yeah like ha ha i’m gonna [ __ ] get this thing you could probably on hole four have success as much with your putter as you would with your driver it’s so close i’ve gotten so close to getting a hole in one on that one

Oh me too i’ve come pretty [ __ ] close i think the closest i came was like two or three feet from the basket yeah i’ll get one one day i think it’s that whole that’ll do it if not that one maybe the eighth hole but you know how

Like i got close to it but the reason why is like you you know there’s that tree that’s kind of off to your right when you throw it you almost want to like almost hit that tree yeah like yeah that’s the thing you want to come

Really close and it’s much harder for a right-handed throw because the tree’s right where it needs to go right but i find like if i throw it forehand on that on that course i tend to overshoot it so bad oh really yeah like i’ll [ __ ] put it up like either up onto the

The [ __ ] little drainage hill that’s right there yeah or like just over it i’ve abandoned my forehand throw i mean it’s not like it’s bad but i just got a much better thing going with my backhand now that i have an approach that’s worth a damn right i’ve pretty much abandoned it too

Just it’s all only in some circumstances like if i have a tree to where i need to throw it off to the left and have it come in to the right then i’ll throw a forehand but only if i’m far enough away from the basket because that thing’s gonna [ __ ] fly you know

A lot further than i want it to yeah so it’s it’s it’s only useful if it’s far enough away from the basket to be able to do something like that yeah to my knowledge throwing forehand is just a little bit more tricky it’s uh because i’ve had success throwing it pretty straight

But for real it’s just a mirror image of what my backhand used to be just off the other side it curves into the right from the left instead of the other way and it’s like that’s not exactly what i’m looking for that and also what i find is whenever i

Throw a forehand it tends to want to roll a lot more yes definitely so which is good on some courses like uh the second hole isn’t so bad because what’ll happen is like i’ll [ __ ] throw it and it’ll land like right in front of these group of trees

But then it’ll start just rolling and it’ll roll around the trees no but i mean then it’ll be like more like close to the basket or out away from the trees to where i can actually have a straight line of the basket or something like that

It’s kind of nice there but i mean it’s only like in certain circumstances that it’s actually really necessary you’re right that and also something else i’ve noticed is when i throw it forehand versus backhand when the disc comes out beforehand it wobbles a lot more at first

Ah interesting so like it’ll be like you know so i mean i think that and i think a lot of that has to do with the fact that your your fingers are on the uh my fingers are usually on the lip instead of just like on the disc itself yeah i don’t

I don’t use too many fingers if i can avoid it i try to only have a couple on there uh it’ll either just be my thumb middle and index finger or maybe the other one just a little and it just like rests on the bottom of the disc

I mostly most of the action is on my thumb and index finger and it’s at the very end like i’ll use my middle finger to carry it there but then i’ll pinch it off like a turd [Laughter] just just getting it out of there i got to get to work just pinching it

Off yeah that’s my technique the turd pinch i pinch it off yeah yeah i don’t pinch it off i just kind of yeah just serving it like i’ve been trying that weird throw that that patrick dude was talking about you throw it like a baseball pitcher it’s kind of hilarious because like not

Easy to do but it will go straight hmm there’s something there but it’s just kind of difficult i don’t really understand how it’s supposed to be aimed i’m not sure if i can do it i don’t think my hands are big enough it’s weird it’s a weird motion i’ve seen other people throwing

It like that but i wasn’t sure how they were holding it i just noticed they were holding it like a pizza and tossing it i’m like what do they do what’s that dude doing because guy i always noticed him doing it was doing it pretty well

But he had like five discs and he’d be like yeah i just think my hands are too small for that yeah like i don’t i don’t think i’d be able to actually encompass the whole disc or be able to like stabilize it properly yeah it’s super weird that’s odd

Because usually usually stuff like that you kind of need a little bit it usually helps to have bigger hands yeah i just i just it’s not a great throw like from what i can tell like i mean i don’t see anyone doing it like he said the guy that i saw throwing

Him like that was just putting him out there a little bit and he was like if i can huck it and it’s like well i am not going to be able to land that from any distance you know right i shouldn’t just i should just not do

That yeah well and there’s always going to be that one dude who’s [ __ ] throwing it different than everybody else and able to do it really well that’s the funny thing about the game it seems like you know in golf most people are various very similar and there’s very little differences and

That’s why it’s hard to watch but like i can’t seem to see anybody that approaches the same way when they throw their drivers in frisbee golf like everybody i look at throws their [ __ ] differently it’s weird it is weird sometimes it’s like oh it’s like i see what’s going on here and

Then other times it’s like i am not sure why that dude’s doing that kind of like well i i really like the the the [ __ ] that one old dude that i can’t remember his name they were like he’s the birdie master yeah you know he’s he’s the bm of the

Group that’s the dude i uh spy on when i’m out there yeah but the way he [ __ ] throws his dis is it’s just it’s kind of weird because it’s like this little hop and shuffle yeah it’s like hop shuffle poop it’s just like how he [ __ ] hucks it so [ __ ] far

I just don’t understand because it’s like it seems like it’s just like a it’s like a hop wobble on a throw yeah i’m not sure how he gets that out there either the dude’s uh low and straight with those [ __ ] like with that patrick dude i can see why he [ __ ] throws

It hard he [ __ ] like he’s almost pure wedding when he [ __ ] throws it yeah he’s like and i’m like oh you’re kind of like built for disc golf because he has those [ __ ] long ass legs and it just comes out like a counterweight which is weird yeah that’s a big commitment on those

Throws but that doodle like getting the powdery dirt on the ninth hole right past the basket yeah and it’s like holy crap dude i’ve never passed the basket on my first throw on the ninth hole yeah that’s really far i’ve gotten to the like powdery dirt but not

Bob gone beyond the basket crazy the closest i’ve gotten to is like right behind those trees like i’m usually like a good like five or six well five to ten feet outside the the [ __ ] dirt but i think partially it might just be my release maybe if i kind of like follow through

With it i might be able to like put it a little bit further but i’m also kind of a little bit worried that i might pirouette and it might just go in the exact opposite direction that i want to sail over someone’s house into the next dude’s front yard

On the other side of their street [Laughter] yeah uh-oh [ __ ] hitting some dude just on his riding lawn mower i’m just gonna let that one go yeah i’m not i don’t want to talk to that guy about that uh good thing my name’s not on this

Yeah i write my last name on my discs but might not anymore you never know it’s like i only was doing it just so i could kind of uh keep track of it if they got mixed up out there but i’m usually not that close to other players i think

What i’ll probably like more likely start to do is like leave an impression on them or like an etch of some kind yeah and not actually put my name on it not like they’d be able to do any like investigative work to find out who gossip is

They’d have to go looking up my first name and or you could just put pega with the trio on it yeah i could just do that yeah aliases yeah who’s pego the trio obviously it’s not a [ __ ] name yeah obviously it’s not you yeah give me that bag yeah are you pego

The trio i’m one of them you know i should check out i should check out if that uh because the two discs i lost did have my name written on them i should check if maybe anyone’s like kind enough to have returned those to oak grove park

Maybe because like since they ended up in those backyards something tells me those dudes have tons of disks they may not need them anymore yeah if i go up there with my id and can prove that that’s my last name i might be able to redeem some discs i purchased that’d be cool

Yeah i wouldn’t mind that i think that’d be kind of neat but there’s that’s a long shot but we’ll see yeah you know what because it’d be worth checking i don’t like wasting money i don’t like waste money either but i i also think that if i live there

I would have so many [ __ ] discs right now oh like i would have a whole collection yeah yeah there are certain holes that the potential for putting a disc in someone’s backyard is quite a bit greater but you know what i would like honestly if i lived there i’d probably like

Make a little box like some sort of like box or something that i can hang off of my [ __ ] fence that anytime like discs [ __ ] landing in my yard and didn’t get recovered just [ __ ] stick them in the box yeah you know like here you go you guys want some discs

Yeah yeah that wouldn’t be a bad idea but i’m pretty sure people would just start to notice it’s like this is the box where i can get free desks well yeah it’s not mine but it’s mine now all well yeah you know put a donation right next to it

Yeah that was funny because from my angle i was like that’s you know he’s not in any danger that’s gonna go right past him but that was totally just gonna hit you right in the head well it was funny because i hear heads up and i look

And it’s just like here’s this disc just like like it’s already right here i’m like oh [ __ ] so i [ __ ] like dip underneath it and dude it [ __ ] i it still clipped me a little bit like but yeah it was like it was one of those things where it’s like it was just

Taking off hair yeah i could have like said heads up way sooner but i didn’t think it was going to hit you it was like i’m just watching it and then i was like well the damn that was actually that was not good that was going to get him

So you got to watch where you got you got to watch where you’re at i’ve come relatively close to getting hit by humans nothing major they’re always way more apologetic than is necessary but right it’s like oh sorry it’s like that’s fine it’s all good it’s especially funny

Because of like depending on which tee you’re on because three four six and seven they all coincide in one spot yeah and that makes it very dangerous it’s the worst spot to be is the fourth tee box or third basket whenever you’re like in the middle of that

Yeah cause like if someone’s throwing from six or seven both of you are in danger it’s like that sucks because then it just it puts everybody to a halt for a second i don’t love that design but whatever like if there was a net there something cause yeah

I’ve actually on several occasions had to just like wait for a second or or more accurately hurry myself along so i’m not up in somebody’s way maybe folks like waiting on you and it’s like uh right i mean i mean it wouldn’t be a bad

Idea to put some sort of like net system in there but also at the same time then that’s just more like upkeep that they got to do right and this since it’s you know a public park you know they don’t necessarily have the funding to just

Like keep everything up and kept up the way you know we would want it to because i guarantee you those nets would get just trashed yeah dude like there would be [ __ ] squirrels chewing through it and [ __ ] [ __ ] like that all sorts of stuff man i’m surprised

Honestly they keep that [ __ ] mode out there that’s a big area that is a big area you know and i see them out there like if you go out there during the week if you’re there any past like if you’re there past i think like 10 o’clock right around

Like 9 30 10 o’clock the uh usually the groundskeepers that’s when they start making the rounds really i didn’t know that i was kind of wondering when they show up oh so i think they probably do that stuff like during the week in the middle of the week

But yeah usually i see them showing up and you know spraying the [ __ ] new trees and [ __ ] yeah and [ __ ] starting to do their all their little like maintenance stuff around there usually by the time i’m leaving which is nice because usually i’m finishing up while you know those

Those dudes are showing up but i’ve also been there to where they’re out there [ __ ] doing their thing right in the middle of the [ __ ] frisbee golf course there’s i mean i didn’t come close to hitting hitting the [ __ ] maintenance like truck but you know i was like
