Short oh I’m going to try to make as short as possible and as you see chillax is all my server right now although you’ll see at the very end what happened was kind of funny by the way if everything that you’re gonna need is gonna be in the Description down below and hopefully you guys can set up your own servers be the way I’m gonna jump into my footage right now and talk to you guys there ok guys so we’re on the desktop here and our first order of business is to port for Our router so we can access a minecraft server so firstly we’re going to go to our internet browser here and we’re going to go to the address type in 192 168 1 and then 1 and most routers use this command B either way as you see Here we get a little option for my router plus the username plus password now since I have this already set to an actual username and password this could be different for you guys but for most of the cases it’s good to be Adam an admin for the password and username and B the way I’m gonna pipe type of my stuff here or fast and when you finally get on to your router you’re gonna have something similar like this now depending on what router you’re using it’s going to be slightly different but all the time you’re going to be using The application and/or gaming and like I said this could be something in the description down below for you guys to check out it’s called port forwarding comm B the way the next thing you gonna do is just click on it and as you see here I have nothing because remember I Just said earlier that my um my router got reset B the way so we’re going to type in here minecraft now in our external part is going to be 2 5 5 6 5 2 5 5 6 5 and also the X the internal port So 2 5 5 6 5 now have it on both now right here it says 2 IP now it’s gonna have zeros at the end now this is where you’re gonna need to go here so the next thing you’re gonna need to do is go to your internet connection go down to Where it said or actually right click where it says open network and sharing Center and they’ll get an option like this the next thing you want to do is click wireless network connection and then you’ll go to details and then you’re going to just look at this number right Here you’ll see an IP for address and then we like this it’ll be the exact same one as the router except we’ll have two extra digits at the end so b19 192 168 1 1o something so in this case I have 106 I’m going to close this and Then I’m going to put in 106 for my two IP address and I’ll just click enable and then I’ll click Save Settings and that’s pretty much it that’s how you configure your router so now that the same settings have been saved the next step is to get your IP so the next thing I do is just go to like google and type in what is my IP and I should be the first one is my IP comm you’ll click it and they’ll give you your IP here now of course I am blocking most of this stuff when I’m editing this video either way Basically you’re going to copy this thing right here wherever my mouse is highlighting and getting some word pop-ups right now don’t know why and then you want to copy it now the next thing I’ll show you guys is how to use a website called I know IP Comm so this is a easy way for you guys to hand out your IP without you know you giving your actual IP number so the way you go to the IP comm and she see here I already signed in now all the other dishes make an account it’s fairly fast And very simple now once you make your account just go to where it says host and redirects and then just follow the instructions by adding a host domain and putting your IP and the thing just follow the steps and you should be good so as you see here add a host this right Here is my IP I used to when I get to people it is good we blur it out during this video because I kind of don’t want people to know exactly what it is even though it is still safe I just don’t like people randomly Joan joining the Server and right here in this worm with the mouse is moving up and down this is where my actual IP is so that’s pretty much it and the next thing I’m going to show you guys real fast is how to get minecraft now this the very simple one let’s just go to Google type in Minecraft and you should go to minecraft.net actually will just skip and go to the download section so easily all you have to do is just go to where it says download multiplayer servers and click server jar now save it and I have set mine to the desktop there We go so as you see here it’s in the desktop now you don’t want to open it here but you want to make a new folder and just call it server now we’re going to drag this thing in here and click it and it will give you a little thing like This now all you do is click it once and it should activate the server there you go now it’s good to be generating the world’s gonna be doing is good pretty much I had these other things inside of the server as well or inside the folder So after you do this you want to actually the first thing I like to do is just opie myself so set a sorcerer and then I’ll type and stop because I’m going to be doing some other stuff for fast okay so now this thing is stopping the server is saving the chunks I’m Going to explain how to set up the server in a way you want now the first thing you gonna see here is a server properties file now by default I think it’s like this but all you did you just right-click it and open as a notepad and It should work like it so we’ll open it and as you see here we get a few options here no majority of the time the one a few things are gonna change firstly unless you love trolling your friends you may want to change this to false PvP max players exactly what it Says maximum players you could join I’m just gonna put two just because I want to give you a chance the name of the server this is what people will see when they’re bad or LOGIN generates stuff mom’s true difficulties etc so it’s pretty self-explanatory now like for Example if I want to change let’s see right here I have world this is the default world but let’s say I have a custom map I just drag it in here I’ll just change the lower name to whatever it is and it should work so any other Way we’re gonna get started here let’s just save whatever changes and let’s start the server back up and the server will go here and I’ll let me open my minecraft up while I was doing that so I can at least get on so I can show you guys okay there you go so When mine crafts there I’m just gonna log in go to minecraft and then you just go to your servers you can save it but I’m just gonna do Direct Connect because just to show you guys it works so either way Direct Connect and like I said I Have mine set to whatever it is but you’re not gonna see it because it will be bleeped out doesn’t want everyone to join my server if I should see here I want what the [ __ ] how how okay okay interesting okay so this chillax magically on my server I don’t even but yeah Wow okay so yeah I kind of lost my train of thought here yeah basically um says I gave him my port forwarding IEP thing the UM the thing I used no IP comm for he could just save it and he could join whenever it pops up I guess He just imagined we got on when it was at that one time actually see here we’re on the server and there he is so yeah I think that’s pretty much it so hopefully this video isn’t too long I just wanted to show how to UM hull be the way like I Said I just wanted this video to be pretty short and just give you the basics on how to make a server hopefully you guys know how to port forward like I said this could be a description or it’s a good be something in the description Down below for you guys to check out its and also if you have any questions leave it in the comments below but hopefully it’s pretty easy it’s a very easy thing to do but there was some people asking how do I set up a multiplayer server and Yeah be the way hope you guys enjoyed this video and other than that I talk to you guys later Video Information

I tryed my best to cover all the important stuff in a small time frame. This is sort of a tips and tricks, but its mainly a guide. If by any chance I missed something, please leave it in a comment below and I will try to ammend it to the video.
This video will show you:
– How to set up a minecraft server vanilla or bukkit – How to find your IP address and use No-ip – How to download minecraft SMP and set up a server
The steps I used in this video: 1) Access your router with 192.168.1.1 2) Use the default password and username of admin/admin
IF it doesnt work, go to this website: http://www.portforward.com (Simply search for your router, skip any ads on the top right corner, and find “Minecraft Server”)
3) Use your IPv4 to find your last 3 digits 4) Go to applicaitons and Gaming, enter 22565 for the external and internal, and the last 3 digits of your IPv4 and enable
5) Go to: http://www.whatismyip.com/
to get your ip. Copy your IP.
6) Go to:
http://www.no-ip.com/no-ip.com
and create an account
7) Once created, go under ports and redirects, and set up an ip with a custom name and domain. Site and fowarding is safe.
8) Go to http://www.Minecraft.net/download
(or bukkit) and download the server jar.
9) Set it up any way you want, and you are done 🙂
F.A.Q.
Q: What happens if I want to use Hamachi
A: Hamachi doesn’t need port forwarding or your ip, but rather you use your given network ip from Hamachi. To make it work, simply place your IP given into the server properties document in the servers folder under “Ip:”.
Q: I’m using the 192.168.1.1 and can’t access my router, HELP!
A: If you cant access it using that, try 192.168.1.0 ,and if that still doesn’t work, go to the website I linked below to search for your router specific needs
Q: Does this work with Bukkit?
A: Yes
Q: You need a local static IP
A: You don’t NEED it, but it can help. The only thing that may change is the last 3 digits of your IPv4 later down the road. It isn’t a big deal, just re-open your router and fix it.
Q: Internet Explorer?
A: I use Chrome, but I had my no-ip screen ready on chrome (as seen on 3:35 ) so I wouldn’t have to log in with my email and password. I also used IE because it doesnt show my saved tags when I open a new tab. Kind of want to keep my stuff private for this video ;P
