———————- The MHC standard rules are as follows:
1. We are all playing the same game with the same features, therefore: Hardcore Mode. (or Hard difficulty in Bedrock edition or Realms) Vanilla Minecraft, no mods (except purely graphical/performance ones, such as Optifine, Sodium, etc. & Batty’s mod). Use the latest non-snapshot Minecraft version, or latest Batty version. Same World Type, Seed, and Structures (OFF or ON).
2. No entering a bed for ANY reason. Phantoms must either be risked or avoided by other means.
3. No harming passive mobs. Actions leading to the harm of passive mobs are also not allowed. Non-food drops from legal deaths (i.e. wolves killing sheep) may be used. Spawned-hostile mobs may be killed at the player’s own discretion. Neutral mobs may be killed if they stand a chance of killing you otherwise, though avoid attacking them, if possible.
4. No eating meat. Zombie flesh and any type of fish (only if caught with a fishing rod or found in chests) are okay. All drops from player-killed hostile mobs may be used. Villager trading is allowed provided Rule # 3 is followed.
5. Brightness set at 100%.
6. No AFK crop growth, AFK mob grinding, or AFK anything else.
7. No duplicate world info (e.g. entering the seed in Amidst or MineAtlas), except other player’s videos on following episodes.
8. Everything on-camera at normal speed.
9. Episodes run from sun-up to sun-up.
10. Post episodes every Monday and Friday, or a day early.
11. No one dies on episode one. If a player dies on episode one, restart the challenge from the beginning.
12. Restoring from a backup copy of the world is forbidden under any circumstances.
13. No violence against other players or suicide.
14. Neither BSM, KVT, Bakerbelle nor Michael Deering may change the rules after the Announcement video is posted.
15. In team play, survivors must build a memorial or grave site for fallen players.
Any changes to these rules, outside of monthly special rules, will be decided by the MHC players as a group.
