Hello I’m ab xat and you’re going to have to ignore what I’m doing in park in front of a highway because I have some news about the newest snapshot that came out this week it included a interesting feature which people have some opinions on but also there was a leak inside of It which hints at a brand new game mode selection screen it’s got the new difficulty screens as well which I think are absolutely fascinating Minecraft is going through some big changes some are in public some are secret and some of which relate to people’s feelings on Combat which there are a lot of let’s go through all of that in today’s Q&A Saturday and I guess I’ll go audio only because honestly doesn’t matter that I’m in this park there’s a black squirrel jumping on the bridge towards us he’s coming over here why are the squirrels Black I want to know this first question relates to the most recent snapshot and beta which came out this week which notably actually fixed the tough brick and you might say fixed if you look at this and say this is how it should be the tough brick should match everything Else or you might say if you’re Daniel Conor 2077 uh fixed or cave to pressure low and this is something really interesting about the tough Breck which kind of proves why the snapshots are so important but also why they uh maybe confuse some people is because to many People uh myself included having tough brick be this perfect spot between deep slay and between stone bricks I really like personally but to many other people you might say nah I like the tough brick was upside down I like that it was different many of the changes that Minecraft have to make are about balancing this perfect tight rope between something that is unique enough to be interesting and intriguing but not so unique that people look at it and say it’s not minecrafty or it doesn’t fit with the game and in this case because we’ve seen both versions some people are Going to feel like both sides of that however the most interesting thing about the betron snapshot is not necessarily what was in it itself but what actually what was found by a leak afterwards because the beta uh which comes out every week sometimes includes some Secrets as what’s going on in the future And it seems as though uh King do who was behind some of these successful uh Minecraft life leaks actually found these brand new images and so this is what they would look like a brand new game mode selecting screen as you can see Survival Creative and even more Interesting to me a brand new difficulty selecting screen which as you can see has it’s really it’s huge I I feel like for mobile UI players this is going to be tricky but outside of the difference that it makes for mobile UI I think this is a really cool intriguing way to Introduce people to difficulty in something that is better than just a screen that looks one way or another and so one of the interesting questions that comes out this though is vent A7 saying it would be awesome if they updated the difficulty modes alongside these UI changes make them actually different and That is something uh which I also think is an entirely valid criticism uh Minecraft has been spending years now up the UI and they’ve kind of only updated half of it but as they’re updating UI elements bit by bit it’s making you realize how outdated the UI element that It’s representing actually is and so one of the great examples of this is yeah difficulty modes have needed an update forever uh I mentioned this in my most recent combat video but ultimately Minecraft can make the game much more engaging if difficulty didn’t just mean how much you get hurt and indeed how Much you can hurt in some places um but actually had more impacts on the game which made it more challenging or less challenging in some ways and I feel like they haven’t been doing such a great job on this speaking of things they’ve not been doing such a great job on this is The opposite of what sporm 1674 says who says they really like the direction they’re taking with the UI recently it looks sweet and I totally agree by the way speaking of things I totally agree with I I I think it’s worth moving into a question which comes in from uh Toby Seren who says I can’t be the only one that was somewhat hoping that trial Chambers were what was behind the portal rather than to unlock it new structures are cool but having a trial chamber just there with a high likelihood of digging in from the wrong entrance unless they p A lizard temple which be kind of cool but wouldn’t make sense uh would not be a make it as fun I know and I do think uh so we we have this tiny proof from the trailer if you watch from the very beginning you can see that is surrounded By Deep slate so uh we are 99% certain at least for the pre uh Minecraft live version the trial chamber was originally just found under the ground and so this would you know there’s a lot of questions I have about the trial Chambers and I’m looking forward to Snapshots answering them one of these is can you dig straight into them to the second of these is like is this going to be the best way to get copper and the third of these is going to be uh is there some linear progression through them because they Vibe like Legends of Zelda dungeons but are they going to have a minecrafty element is there going to be a way to complete them M of order is there a benefit even for completing the whole thing or is it like a m shaft where you never complete it there are so Many big questions but the one thing we can answer for sure right now is that it probably isn’t going to be the uh link to the portal a lot of people look at the deep dark portal and say this is the way that it should be but as much as I Would love for that to be true it doesn’t look like that’s really what’s going on here speaking of what is going on here I uploaded a video this week you might have seen about the combat snapshot V8 the most recent version that Jeb was working on and a lot of people Were reminded that yeah Jeb and Mojang spent months so many updates and so much time going back and forth the community about how to update the combat system and they thought it was interesting that like yeah the combat uh you know the the combat update or combat adventure and Tinkering update really would be a perfect time to implement this or at least some part of this and although some people have resp responses saying yep it’s definitely gone if you haven’t seen it for 3 years some people have responses saying well isn’t it ridiculous to have uh this be the Thumbnail I I I did see a lot of very interesting responses about that but one of them that I wanted to directly respond to First was mauda 2179 which is something I’ve never thought about is how much more boring the 1.9 update for Bedrock was than the 1.9 update for Java And yeah one of the big points I was Raising with that video and I really want to reiterate right here is that the Bedrock version never got the 1.9 update that’s not to say there wasn’t a 1.9 for Bedrock it looked like this uh if you’re curious but that wasn’t a combat update For Bedrock because they have never updated the combat minecraft Bedrock combat is the same as Java combat was in 2011 uh that is to say basically unchanged and so this is something which is a big missed opportunity and this is why they need to update combat some uh You know some people have been pushy especially when they’re trying to argue that the video was maybe off base for arguing that these features are coming at all um but I think that one of the most important things to consider is that actually Minecraft needs to update Bedrock combat because of how long it has been and so whatever version we’re getting in this update we are seeing a combat change uh soon speaking of things we’re seeing soon by the way I also got this comment from Captain brim who says I’m especially excited for different Reaches per weapon this was something that they did uh different weapons have different reaches so you would actually specialize based on that although I hesitate to believe these changes are the changes they intend to implement so I would be excited to be proven wrong and yeah I am very excited to see what They have done in the last three years on combat because I genuinely believe that Jeb didn’t release combat snapshot uh see I think it was and then go well I guess this is terrible let’s never release this I think that the process went internal from there and the final Snapshot the next version we see will not be a private snapshot that you have to join and download for the launcher and do some weird on there’s going to be none of that it’s going to be part of a public snapshot it’s going to be a very Big deal and in the same way that we were so excited when archaeology came to the game after years of being away I assume we’ll see a similar thing with the combat update we have uh you know takes them a really long time to refine some features once they add something to Minecraft they’re very hasn’t to remove it but I think there’ll be some version of this and I’m excited for different reaches because it means that PVP and combat and anything like that will instantly get more interesting as you have to consider do I want longer reach But worse combat or do I want to get up close and personal but do a bit more damage maybe you’ll even use both on the same hot bar which just seems so fun but speaking of so fun something really important that comes in from uh Riptide anomy anony 1024 which is they need Unique Shield enchantments and just immediately agree with this by the way isn’t it insane basically every tool has unique enchantments besides the shield uh seriously your Shield isn’t as powerful as your offense why not add more damage reduction en chance on The Shield or add a unique Shield ramp like A goat wood I’d be stoked to see something like that happen so I can finally knock those skeletons into the wool and yeah I do think that even again you you’ve raised a very simple idea of skeletons uh immediately what if you could have a shield enchantment that Made it deal more damage or have more power on the projectiles which have bounced up a shield right now damaging skeletons with their own projectiles is very satisfying and so instead of thorns which requires you to be damaged to harm things back what if there was a you know Spiny version of this enchantment for the shield it’s such a I think the enchantment system in Minecraft could do of a real revamp and this is one of the great examples of it obviously I I think cleaving and uh having sleeping Edge on Bedrock would be cool too but those are Very cool ideas speaking of cool ideas something I’ve been hoping for for a while are alternatives to neite I like never right but imagine if you had two to three different options so you could choose how to upgrade your diamond gear this is in my opin people have been saying like yeah you Can’t update the end and add like an endite or because you can’t just have another upgrade to neite I personally think that because diamond and neite are the same besides that knockback resistance and durability you could make a whole bunch of different equivalents to neite and uh then you would actually Have to make the interesting decision about okay do you want to go to the never and mine the neite or do you want to go to the end and then obviously completionist again I think the great thing about choices is completionist can go for all of them having Max Enchanted Endite gear or whatever having having Max Enchanted never gear would be cool and so in the same way they could use the trail Chambers to make one of these sets of gear if they want to make combat adventures and uh yeah I think you could make this gear maybe slightly less Useful against players and slightly better for PVE if you want to tie it into the theme of again Adventures Against the Wild but that’s just my opinion speaking of my opinion could we get six copper doors and six copper trap doors look at this recipe for copper Doors and then look at this recipe for copper trap doors when compared to regular or rather iron trap doors I think the iron I I think copper trap doors doors are one of the biggest missed opportunities in their current form and at the very least they need to Make them fair but a higher a better alternative would be making them actually quite useful uh the idea of having keys or the idea of doing something magical with them is something I’m really hoping the trial Chambers will do again one of those questions I’m hoping that this next week or in the Next few weeks sometime in November we’re going to be seeing some uh trial chamber snapshots and I really want to play around with them specifically for that reason speaking of specifically that reason let’s talk about Breeze rods because I uh I recently shared this fun little just uh fun diagram it’s purely Speculation something I do I think very well on this channel is i i i clarify when something is just some idea that someone’s had a lot of channels out there are full on saying like oh yeah look this is definitely real it sure it it looks like a mod but it’s totally Legit uh something I believe that I do quite well is I I I I try to explain when something is just an idea this is just some dude’s idea of how Breeze rods could be used with heart of the sea the other kind of Circ looking item to make An access point for the deep dark portal very fun idea don’t get me wrong um but something which I think is interesting is that the breeze Rod is a fun idea by itself I I think you would have to obviously use it with something more interesting like you could use pop Chorus fruit and make it like an end version I keep coming up ideas for an end update I’m sorry here but um one of the interesting things here is that I boogy NES says I would really love to see the illusion of mob getting added in trial Chambers the mob fits perfectly With the theme it will get to use give us a challenge as well as reduce Mojang’s work to think about another mob to add in the structure and this is a entirely true in my opinion the illusioner is you know Minecraft is always talking about the ideas library And Minecraft is always saying how hard it is to of an idea that fits Minecraft but they have so many ideas that fit Minecraft so well right now because they’ve already been in the game in some form I think the giant is an example of one that wouldn’t necessarily fit but The illusioner is such a classic example of a mob that just needs an opportunity and is the trial chamers that opportunity in my opinion totally yes right speaking of totally yes uh just for comments in response to my newest member only video by the way available right now you Go to the membership tab it’s called gamer boy pathwater episode 2 Mountain Duke and just don’t don’t question that title but basically I bathed in Mountain Duke so I was curious we always bath in water why is that what happens if you bath in the stuff and just for comment Says why would you let that stuff touch your skin actually I’d like to point out carbonation feels kind of nice on the skin it’s exfoliating uh I felt I i’ never felt so clean afterwards except for my stained orange skin which if you C or stained yellow skin if you’re Curious that has now been fixed and uh yeah this is one of the most ridiculous things that I’ve done uh but I except in the opinion of Interstate 80 which a fun username I think I’m about to approach Interstate 0 as this video goes live by The way uh if that is the one on the east coast uh going through uh New York anyway but the uh interesting thing here is they say why on Earth are you in Detroit out of all the places you could have gone and uh I I think this is so Funny because I mentioned this casually in a community po if you don’t know I’ve been taking a trip to the United States I I I I recently went through a big thing I only recently found out when the funeral will be I still don’t know all the cause defin all the big important Questions if you curious but um the the reason I’m mentioning this is that um I went on a trip recently because I one of the things that I am a big believer in is travel now you’re always going to have this big belief that like yeah just Push it off just do it next year but this is something I think my mother was always like big on doing is just being like yeah like the next time the Olympics comes around we’re going to go and do it and I remember that happening like every four years of my childhood if You have dreams that you just say you’ll do eventually they’re Dreams they’re not reality you’re not going to do it if there are things you want to do if there are things you need to do if there are things that are really important to you make sure you do them and something I’ve Wanted to do forever is visit Detroit because it has one of those reputations of being a terrible like uh you know City like it’s run down it’s awful and I’ve heard in the last few years it’s gotten better and so after go I just wanted to go with myself for like see Because so many people love to exaggerate like oh the crime rate’s 10% higher and so basically everyone will kill you there and so i’ just like to point out I was the trait only for about 6 hours and uh it turned out I my my car Was hit I believe twice while parked so one of the times I was in the car the guy got real aggressive of me I was like it’s not my car it’s a rental I don’t care I’m just trying to follow the legal process he’s like no don’t crash the car As as like a giant whatever yeah point being is uh detroiters I’m sure the rest of you are lovely uh but that one guy was particularly not and the other point was to say that yeah I’ve been on a bit of a road trip I’m currently juai in Canada not that far from the US border about to go through New York and uh back uh home soon and uh yeah I just want to apologize for the short lack of videos here and indeed I also uh I I want to address this because there was a there Was a there was a meme I saw that was shared a little bit about like oh this thumbnail was so misleading for the combat update video and it’s interesting because the thing that people found the most misleading was the fact that it says 1.21 on there when we don’t Actually know be in 1.21 it could be updates from now there could be parts of the features we never see that I I kind of get that but also it’s funny because putting the 1.21 on there was something I didn’t want to do but decided to do to Make it more you know make it less misleading because then for future updates people will know that we’re talking about this one rather than saying like oh new combat things coming and not knowing if it’s in there and so it’s one of those interesting examples of like the perspective you have on Something changes everything if you want to go into something thinking that someone’s evil and is out to get you and mislead you at something uh but I I also want to be really clear on this channel like I uh do share I you know not I I do Share things as honestly as can in the video but also with the title and thumbnail like if you don’t have one that will make people want to watch it then no one will ever see what you have to say in the first place if you uh you Know like as a Creator if you’re making a video that people click and then immediately feel like they haven’t got what they’re there for you have done a bad job but also if you make a video that no one wants to click no one will see it later because YouTube will only Share videos of people who see it and so ultimately you’ve also done a bad job if you make it so your message can never be seen then you’re throwing a a message in a bottle and throwing it into the sea which is a waste of your time but also a Disservice to your subscribers who want to see that message in the bottle because they’re not in the sea uh anyway speak see uh there was a black scir behind me at some point I was going to I was going to try and pet him at the end Of the video okay lack of black squirrel is very sad I can’t feed him at the end of the video but what I can say is that I hope you enjoyed this video uh there will be a couple more gaps in the schedule between now and the uh funeral Uh which is upcoming uh and uh yeah I hope to be filling as many those as I can the most and the most important thing is I am most hopeful for the trial Chambers this is this is the feature I’ve been most excited for for a very Long time and I wonder how all of those questions will be answered but for now hope you all enjoy the video and I look
