actually are not at the beginning amazingly this one is still going So we are just at the point where we have we found an amazing Village here we go here’s where we left off we found an amazing Village this Village is really nice and we got a full set of iron armor looking very good and the only thing left to do now Is to go oh yeah we have a we have a sweet cave right here too got them good shaders yeah we have 64 bread in a dream um but yeah we’re looking whoops shaders reloaded I just pushed I did not mean to push that button but yeah look At the water oh my God look at the water it’s always about the water and then the next goal is to get um what the this is hold on this is did that just disappear what are you doing the next goal is to get diamond can you Get the seed of course um essentially I’ve been putting oh my God where did I actually go maybe it was up here I’ve been putting blocks down passageways that I haven’t explored Yet um to prevent monsters from randomly here I don’t I don’t want to go that way at all to prevent monsters from like randomly spawning and Wrecking me is there a texture pack uh I don’t know you’ll have to ask hiive all right here we Go so yeah we have this see I I’m I feel like I don’t like Open Spaces in this game because I feel like there could be a creeper like up there and it just jumps something I want to learn is um how far will creepers like jump down on you I don’t Know how they work exactly will they only go down like one tile like this or will they just walk off of a big ledge just right on top of you and blow up on your face you see so many blocks I know right this did help us get all of our iron That was the advantage here they’ll follow as much as they can this game looks so different compared to when you stopped playing always put torches on one side that I like the idea of that I I actually do do that in small in narrow spaces in not narrow spaces Though um I kind of put them everywhere because I was told stuff in lava it transforms it I don’t know how exactly that’s useful build light and enter another Portal but I guess it’s related to that so -5 to -32 this is -64 right so I need to go quite a quite a bit up um you shouldn’t tell me uh yeah you shouldn’t tell me content related things like at some point I’m going to get a full suit of diamond Armor and then we’re going to play with that hopefully messing with the nether portal with the diamond pickaxe and maybe using the diamond pickaxe to try to mine the blocks around the nether portal that was my Idea I don’t know if there’s any Merit to it or not but that’s what I was Doing I don’t want to mess with anything else until I get suit of diamond armor for protection but maybe once I do that and I learn something I’ll realize there’s something I should do first I don’t know we’ve never gone that far so I just don’t know at this Point Carl play with redstone no it’s on the list of things to do moderately fixated on diamond armor chemicals do we synthesize them in LS do we extract them from other things it always been a really interesting question to me so as far as making um biologically Useful um substances goes it depends on whether it is something uh it depends on whether it’s a protein uh lots of things are lots of things that are used like hormones and um uh I don’t know there there well okay it just depends there’s a lot of different types of biological molecules A lot of traditional ones that are called like small molecules or whatever things like aspirin or whatever uh can be made with chemical synthesis but more complex larger things um can’t so your your two options are to either get them from something living that makes them um Or sort of if if something is like derived from a gene like there are genes that make enzymes like for instance lactase digest lactose um you can’t just synthesize it so a lot of those sorts of things are made um by for instance taking that Gene and um like putting it Into bacteria and having the bacteria make it or putting it um into a cell culture and having the cells make it for estrogen I have no idea maybe somebody else knows um for making things like that I it’s um has something to do with How antibodies function um when your body um like your body has antibodies in it all over the place and occasionally they stick to things but your body is much more interested in that happening like if you just you know breed something random in digest something whatever And um you happen to have an antibody that sticks to it your body doesn’t want to produce a huge fat immune response against that um it needs a it needs a stronger reason and it can be very dangerous actually when you’re immune system reacts to things that aren’t Really dangerous you know that’s kind of what causes autoimmune diseases and other problems um so it wants to make sure that there’s a good reason to do it um if you have like a virus infecting you viruses are very repetitive their is that a dude no their structures are very repetitive um So if you have some antibodies and they can stick to a virus what’ll normally happen is you’ll actually have a lot of human bodies that stick to all of the repetitive parts of the virus and so you’re um and so the immune system has evolved to specifically look for that to Look for lots of anab is binding to repetitive structures so the vaccine that I worked on tried to make use of this property by creating a vaccine that mimics something that happens during a natural infection where you have clumps of a bunch of different antibodies all sticking to something if that makes any Sense y this guy is juking and Jing over here Um have you seen the Curt Scout videos on complimentary immune system um yeah a lot of their old ones are really good sadly the I I wonder if anything happened with it one of the like most recent kurts kazak videos was like super um it’s the right word to say about it Scaremongering about um is it some sort of um uh genetically engineering viruses and stuff and it was like everybody in the comments was like bro this is not science-based and I don’t know if they did something about it but I was really glad to see that like everybody called them out on It you think AI can help solve health related problems I think for some of them yeah but I’m um I’m not an expert at AI but I’m my brother is and some friends of mine are and I mean AI is clearly revolutionizing a lot as far as Health and Medicine goes there’s a lot of there’s a lot of science that it’s not going to have anything to do with because the only way to figure it out is by doing experiments but there’s also a lot of other stuff that um that AI probably can Help with anytime you have lots of data I feel like AI can be interesting the crisper one um well I I think all the like supported by billionaire allegations like don’t I think that that stuff is just I think see I think that’s also false like so I think their video was Kind of false but also Al those particular allegations against them are also false like their videos have been fantastic with that one exception and it was scaremongering people away from certain science things that like it was a they were all valid points they just weren’t um they weren’t plausible like you can’t We we don’t know how to make a virus we don’t know how to make a super virus we don’t know how to make a virus better nobody can do that right now and not in the near future either they were like yeah you could just get this like home brew oh Diamond let’s Go let’s go finally caves are the way I am convinced the caves are the way and strip M strip mining is maybe nice if you’re just like feeling lazy and you just want to you just want to chill just want to mine and chill but as far as speedily acquiring stuff I feel Like the play is definitely what I have I have seven it’s enough to make something at least this is a bit scary down here though 5 whole diamonds trying to make like a ladder I guess or a little stepping stone thing here I’m curious if there’s anything else down here I think a wide open area would be better for finding diamonds though but maybe situations to boldly go where no Laurel has gone before Defender when are you doing a hardcore play through of this um okay I’m going to look for I’m going To check one more thing and then we’re going find a brand new cave I don’t know the thing I like about this cave is that it’s deep enough that it can have Diamond but we’ve still only very rarely found it you’ve been overwhelmed by you Exploring so much right we I’m amazed at how much we explored and still didn’t find a ton of diamond come on game this is such a cool series have things gone what has he done so far well I’ve explored a ton of caves but I’ve also died horribly along the way many Times diamond is so hard to find in this game holy moly does anyone have any strategies for finding diamond any better than this uh since we’ve already kind of tried my own way of doing here I’m okay for advice on that or is it pretty much just what I’ve been Doing strip mining is pretty much the Best I saw diamond in your cave I got I mean I that like actually the optimal way to do it Okay no you stick in a straight Line I’m sure somebody has scienced the [ __ ] out of this and knows that it’s like 18.4% more efficient or something to like do a window every such and such thing or whatever maze building straight line yeah I see making mazes is a problem but Um another method makes it more efficient but it would be a spoiler you can trade with villagers enchanted book what I don’t have that many emeralds do I how many Emerald how many emeralds do I have I only have four emeralds yeah one by one method I don’t understand how one by one Can work because you can’t fit through a one by one area do you want Chad to tell your mining trck I’m tot anything that makes the stuff that I’ve already done faster I am so for any sort of one your best bet just exploring big caves so the problem that I had is that I found a cave but then you’re not low enough to find diamonds at that point so then You I did not have them on my hot presumably the way the game works is like it’s not random there’s always going to be diamonds within like a certain radius so if you just mine a whole area You’re going to get diamonds like wherever they are you’re going to find it with this I could by chance get a lot or I could by chance miss them it just feels like it’d be more consistent if you you just m out an area I don’t know how the generation actually works Though my suspicion though is that if you mine out like a whole area with Windows and tunnels and things you’re just going to find some even if it even if this way has a potential to be faster that way it’ll be more consistent anytime you’re doing the Window method there’s a big line of diamonds but one block below the one though that’s true that’s very true too that there was mining and crafting but uh the strategy of doing hardcore has been really fun um okay can we can we increase my view distance hold on let’s see if it tanks if I uh render distance 24 hey let’s boom Uh nope nope nope still no Village right there are surprisingly few Villages here by which I mean zero what is that is that a forest fire off in the distance there’s a portal oh let’s do that do you see it um let’s see uh I’m trying to find it was it close or Far uh near the fire you guys can see you guys can see a portal somewhere over there where’s Waldo oh is that it right there I see okay cool let’s go there uh okay want to make sure I don’t miss that jump um okay so we want to follow the coast Around there and then we should see it right there all righto oh my goodness guess I didn’t realize that was connected to the portals until This thing said build and light another portal so I guess I should try that and see if I can do that if that works I don’t get how to put the blocks in it though do I cuz I’ve seen lava touch blocks all the time what kind of a block Is what is Obsidian like actually made out of I have no idea oh [ __ ] what just what the heck oh I um we Wetlands damn that’s pretty by the way how speeduns do it I’m imagining like you dump a lava bucket where you want the obsidian block to be and then you just pour pour water on it and it work that should work to place the obsidian block there but then you’d have to like Go back and get more lava and keep placing in it to make the portal um oh can you I don’t mind if you guys spoil um is there any other way to light um to light the portal other than the um flint and steel or do you have to have the flint and Steel can you just build like a [ __ ] campfire or something the fire charge also works which I have okay flint and steel is the easiest so to make flint and steel is it an iron is it an iron bar or whatever iron inot um plus Flint which was from mining like The which is just from mining or whatever iron in and Flint okay and Flint is is uh Flint easiest to find uh I mean unless you just find it out and about you just do you just get it from mining um a particular block gravel gotcha Flint spawns from digging gravel Oh if you just dig it okay and then my next question is uh does gravel spawn like pretty deep do you have to go pretty deep to get it or does it also spawn kind of near the surface literally this entire world is nothing but swamp why is this it’s everywhere okay it’s Not a guaranteed drop so you just have to plow through a bunch of it okay cool why is this
