If you’ve played Minecraft or watched it on YouTube you have almost definitely heard of the name Tommy in it he’s a British Minecraft Youtuber known for his classic red shirt being a member of the dream SMP and his loud crazy personality which is what many people know him for He had an incredible rise during Co going from around 100,000 subscribers to over 10 million in just a couple of years he soon became the face of Minecraft content creation and was pulling in tens of millions of views per video and hundreds of thousands of viewers live on Twitch because of this He started making videos with other famous Minecraft creators and soon built his presence in the Minecraft Community becoming the number one followed Minecraft Creator on Twitch and having 10 million subscribers on YouTube as well as 10 million followers on Tik Tok but just as fast as his success came so Did his downfall after a steady decline he’s now only receiving 1 to 5 million views on his more recent videos and he’s also live streaming a lot less than before on average having a lot less viewers now it would be unfair and stupid to say that Tommy in it is now Irrelevant or for gotten as he is still a huge Minecraft creator with myself and many other people’s respect but the stats speak for themselves and he’s been on a downwards trend for a while now but the decline isn’t really Tommy’s fault since Co restrictions ended almost every YouTuber and Creator saw a dramatic Decline in viewership and growth as after people were trapped inside for several months when they got the freedom to go out and do what they want and go back to normal life again people were spending a lot less time online and spent a lot more time doing what they Want and because of this obviously people were watching Tommy in it and really Minecraft and any content much less this was the case across the whole of YouTube and twitch and almost anything online had a sharp decline after the co restrictions got lifted another factor that I think led to Tommy And its downfall was his audience becoming older his audience during Co were much younger and those people now after 4 years since Co started are likely to have outgrown his content and his personality with age simply losing interest in his style of content and moving on to other things don’t get me Wrong Tommy init still has a big audience with a lot of viewers consistently coming back but you seem to have lost his major dominance in the Minecraft scene but realistically it was always likely that his rate of growth was going to decrease as at his Peak he was gaining 1 million subscribers per Month and it would be nearly impossible for a Minecraft creator to keep that up for years with that said no hate to Tommy in it full respect to him and if you enjoyed this video you’ll also enjoy the one on screen right now trust me it’ll be worth your time Video Information
