Hello everyone sally here and welcome back to another video today we’re gonna be checking out the oldest bugs in minecraft bedrock edition history some of these have been around for over seven years on the bug tracker which is absolutely ridiculous to give you a sense of scale for how many bug reports There are for bedrock edition there is currently a hundred and fifty five thousand bug reports before bedrock edition on the bug tracker if every single one of those was an item you would need more than 45 double chests to store all those and that would be like Every single one of these being a bug now 66 000 of those are duplicate reports so those don’t really count 22 000 of those are incomplete so they don’t have enough information to be a real bug report or get tracked there’s 6 000 fixed bug reports so that is Approximately how many bugs and mojang has fixed in bedrock edition since it was released and there’s only 4 500 open bug reports at the moment which is not that many so out of 155 000 bug reports this is how many actually need to be fixed and what mojeng is currently Working on honestly not that many so let’s check out the very oldest ones that are still around you are going to have to squint to see this one but look at the chest icons on the hot bar here we got chest trap chest and then the ender chest and then we’re going to Compare this to java edition there is a very very slight difference and it mostly has to do with the shading on the front of the icons if you look at that part you should be able to tell them apart pretty easily and that is the bug This has been on the bug tracker for seven years also a good time to mention that the lower the bug report number the older it is so this is bug report 7990 all of the bug reports before seven nine ninety are actually completely fixed or you know resolved in one way or another So that’s actually pretty impressive there is no older bugs than this one as far as i’m aware this next bug is also from 2015 and it involves a mechanic that you probably have never really noticed i’ve never paid attention to this like at all but whenever you grow a Tree it actually turns the grass underneath it directly into dirt as you can see there i never noticed this so as you can see those are birch trees and every time you grow a birch tree it always converts the grass into dirt however if you grow an oak tree it Doesn’t always convert it into dirt as you can see this is a large oak tree but sometimes this happens with these small oak trees as well as you see it doesn’t convert it into dirt now sometimes it will actually convert it into dirt as you can see there it’s kind of Inconsistent and this bug has been in the game since 2015. does anybody care about it probably not another seven-year-old bug is the fact that dark oak forests have way too light of a grass color as you can tell the grass color is very light and might appear Just like normal but let’s compare it to java edition for a second if we compare to java edition the grass is a lot darker over there and it’s a lot greener on the bedrock side honestly it does look better on java edition it goes better with the leaves and the mushrooms And the dark oak logs but yeah this is another seven year old bug if you’ve played java edition for a while then you’ll know that sometimes you have a buffed spider that spawns in the world these spiders can spawn with invisibility where you just see the floating eyes which is very menacing i Love it and then i believe they can also spawn with swiftness and or strength so all you ever see is the little potion bubbles coming off of them when they’re in the world they’re actually quite fun and they don’t pop up that often and they also just do not exist at all on Bedrock edition so that’s kind of a major sad isn’t it i mean look how adorable that is you just got some floating eyes you can see the glowing eyes of invisible spiders however there’s another bug where invisible mushrooms do not show their mushrooms those should be floating pigs with saddles don’t show Their saddle sheeps with wool don’t show their wool when visible and tamed invisible dogs do not shell their collar there should be little tiny bits of all of these mobs that are visible when they have the invisibility effect but that is not currently present on a bedrock Edition this bug used to affect these spider eyes but of course it has since been fixed so the buff the spiders are actually possible on bedrock edition and like why why don’t we have them i i need the buff spiders man come on you’ve almost certainly noticed this bug that’s Been around since 2015 and that is the fact that some xp orbs do not get absorbed it’s really easy to reproduce as you can see sometimes you just have a bunch of these things that stick around for way too long and you can’t kill them Or burn them or do anything to them and they are very confusing especially for anyone building an xp farm because it looks like there’s a bunch of experiences stuck in your farm when in reality this does not actually exist this is possibly one of the most annoying bugs in bedrock edition but It’s one of like 10 different bugs of experience if you want to see an entire video dedicated to how broken experiences let me know in the comments because there’s seriously some just weird bugs with it man it’s just it’s just a bit much i’m about to die from This fire before the xp dies in the fire that’s how annoying these things are and another super old bug of experience is the fact that they don’t activate pressure plates as you can see they go over all these pressure plates here but don’t activate them it’s kind of a mild Thing but you know what they are an entity and items activate pressure plates so why don’t experience a legitimately kind of cool bug that you’re very unlikely to notice is the fact that there’s actually a gap in the center of double chest so when you place Down a chest of course there’s a little gap to the right of it and then when you place down another one it connects to that but there’s still that little gap in the middle so if you look right in the center of the buckle there’s actually no hitbox there so you can Punch through there and break blocks on the other side kind of neat so you can use this to hide some items there’s a bunch of junk in this chest but if we look through the middle of it right here you can access some hidden diamonds down Below it which is kind of neat lots of different possibilities for this one it’s kind of niche and not many people know about it this bug is also old enough to be in like elementary school i don’t even know this was supposed to be a feature but if you have a snow layer On top of a piece of grass of course that becomes snowy grass however that’s also supposed to happen on podzol and mycelium as well but as you can see that does not happen we are being deprived of our snowy tigers and snowy mushroom islands and also just like extra Decoration possibilities so here we are on java edition and as you can see if we place snow on the grass we get snowy grass snowy mycelium and snowy podzol as well honestly a pretty cool little feature if you had to think of a classic minecraft bug what would it be i would Name something with boats because the bedrock edition just has like an innumerable amount of bedrock edition boat bugs so as you can see there is a bug where you cannot push a boat using another belt this is an immovable object to boats apparently and that is not Something that i ever noticed but it is actually a bug so if we head over to java edition you can see that we can nudge the boat in front of us it’s not very practical it doesn’t really work that well and it’s very slow but we can Do it if we are extremely stubborn now of course on bedrock edition you can just like put a lead on a boat which is incredibly helpful you can’t do that on java edition but you know what we can do on java push boats with other boats There’s a super old bug where slimes and magma cubes do not keep their name when they split into smaller versions so if we name this guy or name of this guy and then kill them the little baby ones that split from it will not have a name as You can see and this is just absolutely tragic they lose their heritage they don’t know their family story and it is just a disgrace to slimes everywhere so if you have a name slime try not to kill it because you you won’t get more of them this also affects map makers as Well because if you have a boss slime with a name it’s not going to keep that name when it splits down into a smaller version what appears to be the oldest redstone bug on a bedrock edition is the fact that redstone lamps do not instantly turn off when losing power so If we flick this lever it’ll basically instantly turn on but if we flick it off there is a small delay in like a fraction of a second before it actually turns off we can slow down the footage a little bit so that you can see a bit More clearly but it is fairly noticeable without even editing this next bug is also an ancient one and it’s just a mild inconvenience as well so whenever you open up the inventory the cursor should be centered right at the middle of the screen like automatically placed back there however on bedrock edition it Never gets re-centered so wherever you leave it is just where the cursor is always at whenever you open up any menu so i’m going to leave the cursor up here in the upper right and then if we like pause the game the cursor is still up There if we open chat cursor’s still up there go back to inventory it’s still up over there basically anytime you open up one of these menus it should get re-centered to a predictable location and this actually makes it a lot easier to quickly manage your inventory and do Things like that because you don’t need to refine the cursor you just always know where it’s at so you could just like go straight to the crafting table straight to the inventory slots down where you need it it’s slightly more convenient and this is how it behaves on Java edition so here we are in java edition if we open up the creative inventory as you can see the cursor is always centered right here in the exact middle of the screen no matter where i leave it it’s always going to re-center back up here which is pretty convenient And then if we’re like in the other inventory screen it’s always right here on this middle slot in the top which is super convenient if we open up chat it’s always directly in the middle of the screen as well and that’s what’s nice about it honestly it is just a good Quality of life a feature why don’t you agree sir it’s a quality of life feature yep as you can see even the pig agrees even the pig knows that this is good ui design this is episode 154 of bug rock and this is the first episode where i’ve Actually gone to the bug
