Hello and welcome to sobricks I’m Adam and this is sobricks this is my channel for reviewing Lego sets and building them and other Lego related stuff in this video I’m going to be taking a look at the Lego Minecraft polybag uh it is called the drip Stone Cavern it is set number 30647 it has 45 pieces and I paid five dollars for this Set uh this is the first Minecraft poly bag I’ve ever gotten I’ve only ever really done one other Minecraft set which was the training grounds part of the reason I wanted this is because it does look like It comes with a a creeper I think this is what those are called and um a a basic figure for Steve which I think that is called and then also another piece here which I was kind of interested in seeing so it was mostly for those to see how they were done I’m Very interested in seeing how the legs or the feet on the creeper were done here and the rest of it looks very meh but um I thought I would take a look at it anyway and and uh so in this video I’m going to open this up I’m going to put This together and then I’m going to give my thoughts on it and while I build I will Speed the video up and then I’ll slow it back down to review this set in this poly bag this the drip Stone Cavern set so until then enjoy okay so that is this Lego Minecraft Uh poly bag for the drip Stone Cavern um this is okay not so good I in my opinion um I’m not convinced about the Minecraft line yet maybe it’s just not for me um and that’s okay not every Lego thing needs to be something that I like um Uh I guess poly bags are a weird thing to judge a theme off of but uh you know I built one sort of full-size um set in a relatively big one being the uh Minecraft the training grounds set um and it was not my favorite Um but uh this is okay I mean I think for me the reason I kind of wanted this poly bag was for these figures and to see what this was and uh I imagine that’s where maybe more of the value is for this set I don’t imagine these Figures are particularly worth very much money but if they’re worth a dollar or two a piece that’s makes sense for the poly bag and then the rest of this build this kind of Minecraft caverny type thing um you know adds whatever else so that that is uh okay but we’ll we’ll take a Look at the figures uh here first so we have Um I think I’ve been I think I called this character maybe a Steve or whatever kind of like a basic Minecraft character is the training grounds uh set came with ninjas uh I believe and this one is one that I you know haven’t had um and it’s just kind of a basic Minecraft using a normal minifigure body I really like the color here but not really any printing on the Torso except for up around the neck there so that’s good no printing on the mid section no printing on the legs or the arms the back is very basic and we get kind of a Standard Cube Minecraft head printing on that looks pretty good and uh we get a Minecraft type pickaxe but a different color than the one that I got in the training ground set and then we have a mob here I believe this is a a creeper and these are pretty interesting I Wasn’t sure how these legs were done and it’s all just kind of molded and seems very rigid and sturdy and good and and looks appropriate so I I quite like how that was achieved and then using two tiles and on the other side here there’s Studs on the side of this to add a couple more pieces there and then a Minecraft head with the creeper print um this is pretty cool I think this is well done and I imagine it can be studded on things and um cool yeah nice I think these are Relatively common probably in Minecraft sets but uh nice and it one was not included in the training ground set so uh I’m I’m happy to have this I suppose and then we get uh this I don’t know if this is considered a mob as well it is yellow I Think I don’t know if it’s like a salamander or a type of uh bug or some kind of creature here in the very kind of pixelated Minecraft type mold and the mold for this is pretty good and interesting uh and so I imagine this is common enough that they make enough of These that uh it makes sense to have this as a mold but it’s pretty well done I like the color and then it’s two pieces this is a one by one plate here and that is printed on the side which reminds me I think the bats in the Training ground had a printed one by one um plate like that as well so nice to see that that’s printed on there and this is a fine little piece as well I know again it’s probably not worth very much but that’s okay it’s not really why I bought this Um so interesting and then we have kind of the the the drip Stone Cavern here very very basic build some like jumper like two by two jumpers a couple of those gray blocks and a bricks rather and plates uh light bluish gray dark blue spray a Little bit of a kind of azure or like kind of a bluish uh light bluish color in there um and then this is either sand green or just tan I I not like normal tan like a little darker tan or medium tan or something I’m actually not sure it’s Sort of hard for me to tell here um but nice I like that this is kind of at an angle this is at an angle this is at an angle kind of looks like stalactites or stalagmites or whatever which ones go up and which ones go down And stuff and so this is rotated a little bit so it’s not squared up and I think that looks kind of kind of cool There Are Places on here to stud someone down and this of course is supposed to represent some like ore or some a block that you might Mine in Minecraft and so there is a play function an action thing here which you can see there push that in and it will knock off the uh the built up kind of block here um and that gets studded on just with a jumper underneath and so uh it has a Little bit of resistance but not much and you just push in this back and that can be mined away uh and fine I mean it’s not terribly elegant it’s not hidden in any meaningful way the back of this just does stick out but it works and it’s Somewhat satisfying I think and at the very least it works and so it adds an extra layer of playability to this little poly bag but I I would imagine for many people this polybag is probably more useful for the the figures here so the the mob and the playable character and this other Creature here as well and um for me is sort of what what intrigued me the most and they delivered fine I mean I think they’re both these two are you know probably relatively basic and common but that’s that’s okay I wasn’t I haven’t seen them or held them at all so oh That’s fine with me I’ll show the extra pieces here we do get an extra of that print for the eyes or face of that little creature of salamander or lizard or a bug or whatever that that might be so we do get an extra of that and then just the extra Small pieces here um fine um yeah this is an okay poly bag it’s not the most fun for me to have built not the most interesting characters that I’ve done um five dollars is what a lot of poly bags go for sometimes I wish they could be cheaper I’ve bought some in the Aftermarket that were even more this is um very middle of the road I don’t know how this compares to like I recently did a Harry Potter Quidditch training poly bag that came with a Cho minifigure any broom and kind of a very small quidditch pitch and I also did a Um Marvel Doctor Strange interdimensional portal um polybag set that I really like to see Dr Strange figure in the cape piece was interesting and the portal piece was fine and the rest was just so so uh and I thought maybe those sets were kind of maybe more for the Minifigures as well But also potentially to have sort of a little a little thing um and this fits in line with that I think in fact it comes with two figures rather than one like those other ones do I think for me I’m just less interested in this line of Lego and this theme and This intellectual property being Minecraft as I am versus like in comparison to Harry Potter or uh Star Wars or Marvel or DC or um like you know Batman or whatever so for me this doesn’t it’s not you know terribly great or horrible I I maybe these pieces are worth a couple dollars Each maybe they’re only worth a dollar each and it’s fine I mean it’s a five dollar set there it feels about that much here um I think if you were to buy these at certain stores individually they might cost you about as much as the poly bag so Um that’s not too bad and you know it’s just okay I would still prefer like I really liked that friends poly bag of the Friendship flowers I really like the speed Champions polybags uh I have liked I liked the recent Star Wars X-Wing polybag a lot Um I liked the Ninjago one I recently did and those interestingly enough like are all polybags that don’t include Minifigures um and for whatever reason I’ve been liking those I think a little more than um ones that do because they eat up some of the cost and you get less like Lego Stuff to build but they do have their own value it’s just a different value so fine and and this set has two of them and another little nice mold here so it’s just okay in my opinion and you know five dollars uh fine I was comfortable paying that I don’t know if This is worth five dollars or not uh in my opinion it made sense and I was excited to give Minecraft another shot I just I’m thinking maybe Minecraft Lego is not the uh theme for me it’s not a line of Lego that I’m particularly interested in and that’s okay because I’m sure there are many people who are and that’s great so this is just fine if you like this video consider giving it a like and if you like the other videos on my channel consider subscribing to it so you can stay up to date on all the Lego Videos I will be doing in the future including more poly bags more maybe more Minecraft maybe not um but a lot of other sets a lot of other themes polybags big sets small sets all sorts of different stuff so subscribe so you don’t miss any of that and uh until next time thanks Bye Video Information
