Speed Running the 1.20 Features! – Hermitcraft 9 | Ep 063

I made such a noob mistake you see on a survival SMP you don’t want to log off the server in front of your friends and go on vacation for a few weeks because that gave them plenty of time to set me up in fact that they did so upon logging

Guess just to make sure I wouldn’t die and I didn’t even realize what was happening I thought it was just like infinitely falling and the server was hiccuping um so yeah thanks guys appreciate the welcome back so as you can see I did make my way back to my base no problem

Thanks to Joe creating a tunnel uh in the nether for me to go through and um yeah we’re we’re back we’re ready to roll we are we’re back from vacation thanks for the patience guys it’s good to be back I’m excited uh however you know we’re behind on some of the 120

In a nice protective case and it’s a nice little collectible for you guys to have if you want the Hermits have been off exploring all the 1.20 stuff without me and I have zero clue which directions they’ve gone in by now so what I have to do is find my own way hello

Sorting system that’s kind of the driving the driving force behind today is to go collect everything so that we can set up the sorting system to handle the 120 stuff I wasn’t exactly uh clear about our intentions today but that’s it that’s the reason why we’re doing this

Able to fit through that little Gap in the corner fences there so I think it’ll stay in there as long as it doesn’t grow up and suffocate in the blocks we are good okay so extra camel even and maybe before I start my journey I’ll breed one

More so I can leave a pair here in case anything happens meanwhile while I’m reading those up I think I will create a bubble elevator and we’ll use glass panes so I can kind of like walk them into the corner and then hopefully they can make their way up to the portal and

I’ll probably put a link here at the bottom as well just in case they fall out of the elevator on their way up and yeah I would hate to see them fall to their death so yeah I’m gonna prep this area for a little bit and we will have a

For me if I got some saddles or some leads at least if we’re gonna be taking them across the entire nether ceiling here to our portals back at the nether Hub uh yeah might go a little bit faster than trying to lead him with cactus so

I’m gonna fly back on my own and then come back for these guys all right I made it home I collected some leads and some Saddles repaired my stuff we’ll make our way back and start transporting these camels all the way to the Dwarven keep actually is that really where I

Want the camels to go I don’t I don’t know where I’m gonna store the camels I mean a Dwarven keep doesn’t exactly feel like that’s where camels belong does it we’re gonna have to come up with some kind of camel Sanctuary or something and yeah I ditched the beard in lieu of a

Hat that had the aqua affinity and respiration since I was doing a ton of underwater stuff it just doesn’t feel right though we gotta get this back on yeah that’s better and I suppose what we could do is just ride this one and lead the other one and then that would

Probably work wouldn’t it there we go and yeah that appears to work all right off we go well we’re back to civilization at least above the nether we’ve got a bunch of things going on uh however I don’t really know what portal I should be taking this camel through actually both

Camels here so I think oh it looks like there’s a little fence post over here I think I’ll tie them up real quick and hop through a couple of these portals and we got to figure out where exactly we want to take them to actually what

Might be nice is there’s this little bit of land right here that’s not being used for anything it’s kind of right here at the mouth of this river that goes in between our bases this actually looks like a nice bit of land that we could make a little camel sanctuary and with

Our new sniffer eggs that we got we could make a little sniffer Sanctuary this little Island right here might be perfect all right and they are here we’ve made it we took them all the way from thousands of blocks out and we are literally right near our base in fact

You can see gem statue right there and this will be our new camel Sanctuary well soon to be camel and sniffer Sanctuary I think it’s time to switch our attention to our sniffer eggs and I’ve made a little pen here just to kind of keep them encased I don’t think they

Can get over this although the camel’s can which is kind of cool we’ll have to mess around with that later but let’s go ahead and spawn our sniffers oh right they don’t just spawn even though those look like spawn eggs they don’t exactly work like that we’ve gotta wait a little

Bit all right we’ll just hang out and uh let them do their thing we’ll see what happens when they hatch oh oh it just hatched look at this cute little guy he’s a little for now oh there goes the other one oh they are amazing look at these guys oh little sniffers

I don’t know if they’re gonna actually like find us anything until they grow up and then at that point uh there’s a few things that they can find some new stuff for us which again I’m trying to get all these things like as quickly as possible

Because I want to get my sorting system all set up so uh yeah we’re gonna need them to find what are the torch lights I believe they’re called and there’s something else it’s torch flower seeds actually in order for us to get torch flowers and then pitcher pods is the

Other thing and they’ll like go ahead and walk around and like pick different blocks to find these things from but uh they they won’t do the same 20 blocks in a row basically so they’ll like keep 20 blocks in their memory is what I’m reading and then uh they won’t redo

Those 20 blocks until they’ve gone to like 21 and then the first one opens back up I’m hoping that’s why I made this big area so they can just constantly be producing no no what in the world went what in the what in the what where did that come from oh my gosh

How we’re in bro we’re in broad daylight where did that creeper come from I think I might be safer in here with these guys so it turns out in order for a snifflet to grow up it takes about 40 minutes IRL two in-game days so of course I I

Decided to just AFK that time and go do something else and that meant I missed the actual growing up of our sniffers look at these guys in fact right away they already brought me a pitcher pod and a torch flower seed which these yeah yes yeah they come to me immediately

These are what they want to breed however I only have one at the moment so uh yeah we’re we’re getting there these guys should be ready to sniff out another thing for me soon I suppose why we’re waiting I might as well go ahead and plant that pitcher pod and there we

Go we got an advancement even and we’ll let that grow up and we’ll see what this turns into oh think he smells something look at him go his nose is in the ground he’s searching there we go he’s laying down he’s digging it up oh that’s fantastic look

At that and it’s another pitcher pod okay unfortunately that means we aren’t able to breed them but I’m gonna go ahead and just make a little little farm here I suppose with all my pitcher pods now and instead of waiting around for another eight minutes for them to find

Some more things I think I’m gonna go on another adventure I want to get some armor trim during our little adventure with the tickler we did find a few here where did I put them and one of them actually I definitely want to use as I

Mentioned to make my armor and that is this host but there’s another one that I really want and that is the ward armor tram now I know I could probably go to the shopping district and use false to shop or jevin probably has a shop as

Well but I kind of want to experience this on my own so I’m going to find an ancient city in the newly generated terrain and we’re gonna go on an adventure and hopefully we can find ourselves some Ward trim Okay I don’t think I actually set anything off there and I did bring some night vision potions so hopefully as long as we don’t get the blindness effect we can sneak around a little bit without setting anything off I also didn’t come super prepared I didn’t bring wall blocks but that’s okay I

Think if we just hold shift and we sneak around we’ll be okay and um yeah hopefully we can find something good in here without making too many wardens spawn if we do I did bring some pistons and stuff to helpfully distract him but oh yeah without the wall blocks we can’t exactly

Block the sound from going off when we open this chest right what if I just dig it up okay that seemed to work and nothing good in here bummer this one’s gonna be tricky look at this we’ve got the sensors right there and the Shrieker right there oh no

Fact all of our goodies that we’ve been getting I have in this we’ll just go ahead and put that away and yeah I don’t really need all these cursing stuff okay let’s go ahead and put this in here safe and sound now the question is where’s our Warden I

Well I think that’s our cue to leave I’m gonna dig my way out of here and we have made it back to our base safe and sound here is what we have collected at least I grabbed some of the things out the smithing templates of course and some of

Our Pottery shirts or shards however you say it um not enough to actually make any pots just yet but that’s okay I want to focus on using these templates and I used a website called Minecraft trim generator or mind trim.com to actually design what I want my outfit to look like pretty

Cool site I’ll put a link in the description to that and you can actually go design your armor so yes as you guys probably know it is a bit costly and if we’re gonna do the host one you gotta put it up there I think this one needs

Terracotta and then you surround it with diamonds and boom now you go from one to two and we’ll keep that over there all right now I’m gonna have to duplicate the ward one twice so uh deep slate for this guy and then two diamonds all the

Way around will get us to of those and we’ll save too just like I said okay there we go now I’ll be able to do my armor and next up we need our smithing table why is there an armor stand wait a minute oh we’ve got a resource

Pack issue here aha okay I don’t know which resource pack I needed to remove but now look at my UI look uh I think I have an old vanilla tweaks resource pack and I’m gonna have to upgrade it now that we’re on 1.20 but here you go now

You can see there are a spot now for the smithing template and let’s go ahead and do oh I lost my oh my gosh I lost my beard we can’t have this okay that’s better let’s see is that the one that’s messing this up no okay we’re good all right let’s go

Ahead and do our our kicks here first we’ll get our shoes and that’s the one that we’re gonna want to put in the middle and then we put that guy there and we’re gonna put gold trim of course on these boots and now we have them and

Hey crafting a new look let’s see oh yeah ah that looks so good we are on bread of course we’re gonna do the pants as well let’s go ahead and throw that in use our other Ward template here and put in some more gold oh this Design’s cool

Oh you can’t like turn it uh all right pantaloons let’s see how we look with these yes uh okay we’re coming along I gotta do the chest plate you know it’s entirely possible that I’ve never made a netherright chest plate because I knew that I would just always be wearing my

Elytra which means uh we’re gonna have to take one of these and upgrade it I don’t think I’m gonna have any netherite scraps just laying around oh uh let’s see either there or where else would I put them I don’t think I I don’t remember ever making a sorter for these

Uh because yeah they’re pretty expensive um yeah I don’t think we have any guys we might have to go mining We’ve got our ancient debris smelted into netherized scraps we need to go ahead and make it a netherrite Ingot and then of course put it on our chest plate I guess I’ll go with fire protection on this one seems like it could come in handy oh now that there’s three slots

How does this work can we still do it like this or you have to add this template wait a minute how do we just get netherrite gear without the uh the the gold trim hmm is it just in here now this is confusing okay wait a minute

Wait a minute wait a minute are we supposed to craft netherright chest plates now it’s not just one Ingot to turn it into netherright that can’t be the case can it yep had to consult the wiki apparently there’s a special smithing template now just to update to netherright which we don’t

Have and can be found in a Bastion so turns out after all that I am actually gonna go visit one of the shops to see if somebody’s got this in hand All right this looks new it’s got template donations welcome and let’s see what they have here the Dune the Vex the wild we need just the netherrite update that’s I okay quite a few in here though oh look at this they did have the host the way finder the ones that we had

Found where’s the actual just netherite oh yeah they did a ward as well in silence holy smokes that one’s like really rare we didn’t get a chance to find that there we go okay so what do we need in order to copy this I didn’t exactly bring the supplies if we want to

Copy this all right went and grabbed some Netherrack it looks like that’s what it’s gonna take let’s see I didn’t see any crafting tables around to help us duplicate this template but there we go we put the template in some diamonds the Netherrack and we will get two and

Take our netherright upgrade template with us let’s get back to the base and finally get ourselves this netherright chest plate done all right here we go chest plate in there another right there okay so that gets us our normal nether right wow this is getting expensive and

Then from there can we still use the host and then we want to make it gold yes exactly that is the one I want look at this this is so it’s so cool all right and in fact look at our electric Stein anyway let’s put this on and that completes the outfit Oh my gosh look at it that is so amazing I think I look amazing in this look at that look at that it’s perfect it’s such God it’s got like a Dwarven style to it and it’s on brand I love it I love it what do you guys think

I think the problem is I love this chest plate so much I’m gonna want to wear it all the time which means I’m probably going to do something like try to fly when I I don’t have my lighter on because I’m gonna be wearing the chest
