Spellbound: Hardcore Season 3 – Tree Sniffer

That we bring this amethyst Bud forward but I fig we get up to some Mischief first because we also have some bees there we kind of need to get them a bit organized so and maybe a roof on this really yes you know what we we going to rock fall damage

Today it’s just been one of those mornings where it’s been like oh yeah we get everything organized and then there’s just that one thing where it’s like ah so we’re having full damages the book theme I have a funny feeling today is just going to be a lot of goober things

Happening all right we have the book there we go perfect hi Laura good to see you okay so first off come meet the mystery sniffer that has somehow managed to get itself up in a tree like look at this we we have a tree sniffer I have no idea how this sniffer

Got up here but it it’s up in a tree who knew sniffers could climb yeah maybe they are related to monkeys I I can only assume that it climbed up like this and was like oh hey what do you know I smell Greenery no problems see [Applause]

You I just can only hope that the rest of the sniffers aren’t like hey perhaps perhaps we smell other things in the trees and they go climb up the trees as well but I kind of like the tree sniffer so maybe we hatch another one in

A tree at some point cuz we’ve got a couple of other sniffer eggs that being said having sniffers not be on the ground is not very useful at all anyhoo I believe the order of business is a sorting system and that is over here yeah yeah the like I was busy flying

Around and making sure that I had everything and then I saw that and I was like that is the strangest thing I have seen in so long so it beame an instant Wonder for for PCT picture book no screenshot there we go and so it is now it is

Friend cuz I was going between that and looking for andesite for that because I’ve been doing some building for it except I kind of forgot to keep adding the gold so I’m going to have to come back and do that cuz that’s like you know what if if we

Get a big chunk of it done then then we’ll be like oh yeah it’s cool but then I didn’t oops yes the sniffer is the main character of the series now we cannot Escape it yes here we have the daily life of the sniffer it looks to the left it

Looks to the right and then it realizes it’s in a tree and there is only one thing to do pose because it is the main character it only stands on two feet and with that it has what is it four feet hanging in mid air wiggling no other sniffer can achieve this

Feat because it is the main character sniffer actually we need a name tag to call it the main [Laughter] character I think we got someone here oh aha that just sounds deeply [Laughter] appealing and we can even capitalize it just be like the main character capitals like there’s no escaping V I should make a documentary on sniffers life and time of a sniffer t a h e m a i n c h a r a c t e r hi Quine how you going all right main character prepare to get tagged boom and we did a main wait we’re going

To need to make sure that the main character D has his main character tag are you the main charact ah are you the AHA it is the main character we are in the presence of the main character oh awesome we have a sniffer in a tree yes that was fall damage Boom and we have a main character so how does one know they have a sniffer well that’s pretty easy you locate one by the sniffing sound there’s a a whoosh sound that you can lead to a sniffer and they are frequently found around strange plants of odd Colors they drop strange seeds behind them as they go they diet as unknown and a little known fact is they really really like climbing trees despite their size they are quite agile and are able to get there into odd places what else do you guys think sniffers Do do they since they hatch out of eggs do you think they related to platypus cuz they look mamillion but they have bigs like they they kind of remind me of Platypus although they missing the tail I suppose maybe oh well this is thoughts for later hello spider oops yes yes are you Yeah am I on something or am I onto something the only thing I’m on is a Chair that’s all good typos happen you know what I think now’s the time that we bust out the two eggs that we actually had a while ago and we get these two some companies since one of them the main character is obviously too good for these guys now so if we go this

These thank you so much although those will probably why would they be smarter is it because like they’re up there hiding from everyone else or do we need to hatch this up there actually what happens if we hatch one of these up here like I know you can hatch sniffer eggs in odd

Places if we hatch one of these ah cuz he learned to climb like I know we could hatch one of these up here but then that makes it only a an imitation I mean learning to climb is a lot different but than stranding a poor egg up here so it’s probably better if

We don’t there we go okay we leave the eggs here and then we get on to we get on to our Mischief cuz if we get the sorting system going then we can get the sorting and the organizing of what we need to do and then we’ll be able to see where the

Things are going so I guess the main thing is would the sniffer be actually so smart that we’re actually worrying about total world domination cuz if we’re worrying about total World Domination by a sniffer then we’ve got some problems I’m not sure I’m ready for total world domination via

Sniffers that sounds both too ridiculous and actually kind of scary because those things are big like if a sniffer came up to me and was like ah so they give us honestly they kind of mechanically they’re kind of useless they just give you two different flowers

Like eh they they make nice sounds I guess if you like the sounds but me personally I like the flowers for decoration but if you’re someone that isn’t into nature decoration okay we need to chop down trees then you won’t find the sniffers very useful at

All and not only that to get the sniffers you have to go look for them in I think it’s warm ocean ruins you either way you have to use the the new copper brush to find the so it’s a very specific action to actually find them and to me it makes it

Quite like compared to the rest of Minecraft’s game design it feels very isolated like everything else is very integrated together or things have more reasons whereas this it’s you get two flowers out of it but the two flowers are very very pretty and for me who likes decorating

With flowers and things like that I like it so I’m not going to sit over here and complain about the fact that we have the sniffer I’m just going to complain about the fact that it’s not well integrated hi Joseph How You Going H that is something that we’re

Going to have to think about in the future is the fact that if we’re not careful we’re going to mine up our pots that’s good to hear but on the other hand like they’ve actually done more with copper which is good and and adding more use cases for copper

Is something I think copper needed because having copper just be a decorative block is not so amazing because like I think tough uh I just mentally going through the blocks of my head and trying to think of like there aren’t many blocks like in Stone in stone purple at least comes from Chorus fruit and you can teleport around with chorus fruit as well as eat it for nutrients you don’t really want to because or I don’t usually want to for nutrients Wise It’s a lot of fun to teleport around with it it’s great to

Annoy people with it but most other blocks have secondary use cases and with copper it was just the lightning rod oh and the telescope but those are very limited and don’t interact with the rest of the blocks cuz like you have the telescope which uses blocks just from that

Update and then same with the lightning rod that is probably too many trees but that’s okay and so oh the the concept I’m talking about is whether a game system is parasitic meaning it it builds on to something but it doesn’t give something back or whether it’s the other one where it

Basically it gives back to the game system as a ho hole and well I haven’t something of I I try not to look too much into the updates before they come out because things change much but I do like the idea of like I’ve seen the

Block sets and I’m like oh my gosh we get more blocks for decoration so I I I like like I like that and like I saw mumbo’s video about the crafter and for people who like automation that that looks like a cool thing and uh what was the other thing wolf armor uh

Of like for a casual audience like if I was giving actually the only true casual player I know is one of my relatives that I introduced to Minecraft and they don’t know that wolves Can Be Tamed yet for pets but they’re the kind of person that is like once they have a pet

They will do anything to protect it so them knowing wolf armor exists they they they will love it and I also know that for a lot of children and younger audience members who play Minecraft and aren’t uh serious or or um you know the the level of serious in the game that actually

Look up tutorials or things like that and like they open up the crafting menu and find out you can make wolf farmor yeah I get a funny feeling that we’re going to need to light up the forest a little bit Better because like I mean we’ve all named pits in Minecraft before and it sucks when they die so having the ability to name your pit and actually have a higher chance of them living yes please I stopped getting pets on the regular because they were getting blown up by creepers and I think

Having that be an option is a good thing the fact that it’s generally restricted to one biome or as far as I know it’s restricted to one biome yeah or shot by skeletons despite the fact that they generally run away but once they bite the skeleton the skeleton has a chance to shoot

Them it it’s one of those things that makes it kind of hard to get attached to the pet but I think with wool armor it makes it a chance where you Can so I I think that is a good thing although I think having if if we got the chance to have some more like some more basic hostile mobs not the blinking Phantom not the blinking fan like maybe a mob that spawns only underground or only on full moons or something like

That I think that would be cool or maybe only on new moons cuz we’ve got that cycle and yeah yeah all biomes oh oh look after yourself it Quine yeah yeah oh yeah the breeze I remember that one I I remember that one from the trailer yeah that one looks really

Interesting I think when cuz I’ve made a habit of not actually playing the what are they the testing things because I find that enough people play them enough YouTubers play them and I get more enjoyment out of it out of the game by not playing the trailers the pre-releases that’s it and the

Snapshots yeah and looking at the trailers for The Breeze it had some really cool mechanics associated with it we need some grass here so I think having that as well is really cool and the fact that it’s both defeatable it’s a boss like thing and it’s supposed to drop some

Really cool loot makes it sound like it’s really cool to go and fight so I’m really interested but I think before we go and fight it in this world we’ll probably try it out in a survival world cuz I’d like to get a measure of it first cuz

Well let’s face it combat isn’t exactly my strong point and like we we are sensible people and scoping we scope out the enemy we know what they’re about and then we go and actually fight them hi Isaiah it’s that a new profile pit and like I think doing

That will be a lot of fun like trying trying the new mop out and what is it I think in the trailers they had the they look like Mossy skeletons or something like that and I think that would be really cool like having the variant of

Skeleton cuz I think the last time we had variant skeletons was with the Stray with frost spoon and well I think that update didn’t exactly that update didn’t exactly go so well I don’t think many people remember that update much mhm I did say hi and Oh all good there we go oh it was Strays in the corner ah I hope you are enjoying it oh what’s the pity was it someone else was it an edited picture I saw that had cuz I thought for sure I saw green skeletons I don’t like Strays like of all the

Skeleton like of all the types of things that we could put on skeleton bows why did it have to have mine uh why did it have to have I keep wanting to say Minecraft what yeah Minecraft’s a cool game why why did it have to be slowness slowness is just

Guy skeletons can be gross like I think I I think dealing with skeletons I I would rather skeletons over creepers but I would rather zombies over skele skeletons but I would rather creepers over baby zombies I I I think that is my order of preference oh yeah where would I put

Where would I put spiders in that list I forgot about spiders ah yes they are the UN they must take offense to ye modern you modern crafting what you do with your modern crafting [Laughter] skills they take off fence okay we need copper stairs then we should be good to Go no that is what we need wait I think wait no no you’re Not we steal their arrows for Mischief we deeply appreciate the stealing of arrows pop pop pop wait we forgot we forgot some Chests oh no I I play Java so this is a PC personally speaking I think Java is the infinitely better version that being said I prefer it because of mod support and the fact that you’re able to mod it to your heart’s content so in this case we’re running a whole bunch

Of oh what is it mods that make the game Run better and personally speaking for me that makes my life a whole lot easier and I think if you’re on a lower end PC Bedrock generally like it’s not as Bedrock isn’t as uh well it it’ll run probably smoother on a

Lower in PC or it’ll be able to run whereas like Java it’s not as friendly to lower end PCS a face re reveal is not on the cards Modding in general I think is generally a lot of Fun like originally I when I first started playing video games the first game I start I’m I modded was Skyrim and then and then my friend was like hey you can mod Java and I’m like wait what I can mud Minecraft and they were like ah and I’m like we must do

This this is a good idea and I like and then I was introduced to the wide wide world of Minecraft mods back in the days where the main place to get it was Planet Minecraft I’m not even sure curse Forge was around back then okay we need Hoppers we need mini

Hoppers we need wait are those are our nuggets like we need iron and many more trees I think at this point we need all the iron and all the trees oh my Gosh I mean I think modding an Xbox would be pretty hard don’t they like wouldn’t you have to crack the software on an Xbox to do that sort of thing aha oh yeah 10 out of 10 if you’re wanting a small lightweight iron farm I think this is generally a good

Design for Java it works really well don’t know if works for Bedrock basically what happens is the three villagers all agree that they’re scared of the zombie so they summon an iron golem the Iron Golem is pushed out of the zone and as soon as the villagers have where beside me the

Flowers or the potato sign but basically as soon as the Villager timer for being scared takes over again they they realize that they’re scared and they summon an iron golem because there is no Iron Golem within their zone so this is po this fog IRL oh it is much creepy Pato is a

Outpost a trading Outpost built on a sign huh I forgot we had a wall [Laughter] there but it’s built on the the assign post of the old people who were much taller than the people of nowadays uh we have wood we have wood okay like I think fog

That no one actually sees me wave my hands but that’s a whole another thing and like another thing is like for the builds I do are yeah it’s like I could do them and do the YouTube thing of yeah we do time lapses we do all the fancy things but it doesn’t feel

Basically we’re going about three stories deep three four stories deep and then I’m looking at having it split off into basically directions going places maybe and depending on what the items are having them be uh manually sorted or Not okay and I think that one goes down and then this one comes along and then it Comes up and we remove that one and that one yes pop popop pop he well the sound is coming through perfectly on my end and we have music oh CL speaking of which might do what good to actually turn that down a little bit there we Go aha we have this perfect yes we have blocks placed it’s only Tak no we had blocks placed before then we put hoppers down yeah that would do it wait let us up also this the the scaffolding is only temporary I’m kind of wanting to do a

Soul Sand elevator and some sort of other elevators so that we can just go up and down we don’t have to worry super much but there okay so that means Redstone the brain be like okay we have a thing it’s a it’s a special kind of thing but do we actually remember what

The special kind of thing is I don’t know there we go yeah bad interet a whole thing okay so do we have more yes we do this is good however we forgot the repeaters here we go stuff and basically we’ll be doing this situation over again like technically if we really

Wanted and if you were building this yourself you can squish up the ceiling part and push this upwards a little bit and save space but I like the visual of it to have the extra room in the ceiling it it makes it feel a little bit less squashed when you’re

Underground and I find when you’re doing underground builds it’s nicer to have a bit more head Room also if you’re wanting to get into Redstone and stuff like that this is actually deceptively simple apart from like the the the input area I want to say because of the fact that it’s one of the things that it basically repeats a single thing

Over and over again oh yeah my Hunger is always going down I don’t worry about it super much cuz basically you repeat this one block slice over and over again for any section you want to do and you just replace the bit uh that you want to sword and it makes life super

Easy so I think making a project like This like if if you want a a thing that is like it feels big and complicated and stuff like that then I recommend this because it’s also practic i eh we got time we got lots of time we have like all the hunger time also we have been eating pork which

Is one of the best food sources and I am staring at this box and I have forgotten what we were going for wait I remember I remember and it’s not even here it’s in there it’s not in there we need to get some more all right to the nether we go um We shall go past the main character and see what’s going on I think our main character is doing well here our main character looks like they’re doing [Laughter] well oh we have elytra ni and AER eggs a hatching oh oh they actually are hatching oh what

Luck yes we are sping and we are magic we appreciate it Lots I mean the good thing is we actually immediately in the biome that we need so it makes for a good time oh oh this reminds me I stole the the load Stone and I was flying around yesterday I found I found the ice spikes

Biome I haven’t visited it yet but I put it like just within render distance and not only that but I just so happened to have found a cave that I saw at the bottom of it deep Dark so I think in the next few uh episodes we’ll be visiting that and having a Look if streams yet again I have forgotten the hoe we really should remember the hoe when we come here you know what we can fix this we have a hoe it it’s sitting at home it’s just waiting for us where did we come from I think we came from this way I mean

Honestly I think that’s part of the experience of the deep dark it’s just the fa eat all right let us first I think it’s about high time that we actually enchant that home welcome back Joseph well we are working on our storage system the main character is no longer me it is now

Our our Diamond a again so Maybe actually idea we put it in the portable trash can portable trash can Shuler box okay well we’re doing a Shuler cleanup soon so we’ll find it eventually that being said when when we maybe after we do this we we go follow the compass and we

Look at the deep dark I think that might be a good idea that way we know what’s up and we get the adventuring time achievement although dibs we go and look at the deep dark before we before we look at the ice spikes so that we get the the achievement in the

Ice spikes fire rather than in the other way I don’t think we can it would be really nice if we could honestly like having having that happen would be just so nice I I would be there for that b Bomom i I think if we were if we were able to turn on Fast Leaf Decay on these I would be so Chuffed wa forget we forget actually having to Ho them all down yeah or or some sort of magic item for it that’ be so nice or even being able to burn them but there is no way that’s ever going to happen ah for a minute there I thought that was

Enderman feed and I was just like oh gosh did I stare at you are you just staring at me uncomfortably but no no we’re [Laughter] good that being said I think think like this is still probably the safest biome to be in cuz like we don’t have random Ghasts we don’t

Have the the Angry Pigs and the mobs here are neutral unless provoked so it’s like yeah I can live with this like this is probably the best biome to stay in okay this should be enough oh I never thought about that wait we did aha yeah I can see the engraving aspect to

That and like these are also really good when you turn on shaders like it’s just like kapow and then if we turn off night vision it’s so spooky it’s like the souls the souls they’re after you yeah and like at some point I’d love to make a build that actually

Looks to actively incorporate our shaders but on the other hand I don’t like the idea of actually working actively with shaders for a long time like living in Minecraft with shaders on although it’s pretty and I think it is absolutely gorgeous like this is this is very picturesque it’s one of those things

That after a bit it starts giving me a headache and it’s just like uh this makes it unappealing to play but it is still very nice speaking of which at some point we’ve got to do do do the uh the rest of the terraforming over here it’s kind of

Looking a bit sad and bald it really is high definition it’s like oh yes we look fabulous do not stare into the sun otherwise your eyeballs will burn but then there’s this and the molten lava that flows through the tree and it’s just so shiny it’s also shiny like seeing copper

Just shine this much it’s so strange but I I think I like the the restfulness of just normal normal Minecraft and how it exists now I’m pretty sure we go yeah Okay yeah that’s right all right let’s get this chunk done and then let’s go on a side quest there is a side quest with our name on it to go get adventuring time where do we put the C here it Is because we have a compass with a load stone that that is there we go that points to where we need to Go yep hi not Rick po pop did we do that right I’m not sure we did this right yeah that don’t look right I think we’re supposed to push that forward what ew we’re apparently not okay we’ll just extend that forward later I guess okay yeah so I think

Oh yeah like I think with math it’s one of those things where it’s like oh yeah yeah meth is easy wait no what is this why are the why is the alphabet in math what is this how does this work and then the just gets worse from there that goes along like this

And then oh dear oh dear I thought this attached to the down later one where oh we were meant to do this one hi red guy oh well we will come back to this and then to the side quest we’re off to do a side quest and it requires

Rockets it requires leaving many things at home uh we we need the totem we need some food we need to probably coat some more apples oh yeah so this is the beginnings of our storage system and we go down this is an automatic storage System and basically the scaffolding is temporary ah I swear we’ve got gold here somewhere we need the apples we have more gold ah more apples math really is I don’t know how people manag to do it so well aha apples chick okay and then over here the pathway that

We did a while ago we now finally have our tree for our tree farm all growing around it and we’ve been chopping things down here today and using them and being enthusiastic so some of it’s regrowing and actually night vision disabled and it looks so good I’m so proud of it

I’m really happy about how this looks oh I mean I think the furthest I ever got with doing Mental Math was crocodile maths which is where you H it’s basically this technique where you take numbers and you chop them up and you make chins out of them and stuff

But like it always took me forever and so I was like ah where’s the calculator makes life easier kild a bunch of carrots Guild a bunch more okay and then do we have any more apples H we do okay all apples gilded the compass this is the right one that is home let’s

Go oh wait wait Rockets Rockets I think if we grab oh yeah the cat box thank you for the reminder cuz if we see any Village we have our cat box like I think being able to do the mental workings on a piece of paper makes life easier with Math and also I think for people I think it’s the same between people who can do math in their head and people who are like oh yeah I I saw this way someone did uh the this really fancy painting technique or this really fancy dance technique or something like

That and I saw them do it just this once and then I copied them perfectly the first time it was super easy like anyone who’s like that I think they just have a knack that being said just like anyone who has a Neck anyone who has a neck at something whether it’s by listening to it or or or seeing it or anything like that that’s all well and good but if you don’t keep up with it then hard work Will trump it eventually okay like people come to me well like all of

This hard work 100% yeah some necks are really worth the effort like I think if you’ve got a neck in something and you enjoy having the neck uh inck means if you got an innate skill with something so or if something comes easier to you so like if you’ve got a

Skill with math and you’ve you’ve always found math easy then you’ve got a neck with math or if you’re good at drawing then you’ve got a neack with drawing we shall take this with us and yeah and for some people they let their uh next for whatever

Their skill is just Coast through life and they’re like oh it’s okay I’ve got a neck for it on the way back we will steal their hay and like personally speaking it goes against my work eths like if you’re if you’re sitting on your neck and you’re like oh
