Spooky Haunted Church in Minecraft!

Oh boy oh boy oh boy today it’s of the day kind of welcome back to the minecraft guide everybody I’m waddles I hope you’re doing well today and in this episode I I think it’s finally time to prepare to go to the nether we are going to do a little bit

Of building today I have a build idea in mind it should be fun and and yeah but first off I’d like to address something I saw a comment and and it kind of brought something to mind would you guys like to see more exploring and me just

Going around in the world and been looking at things because if you would i I could totally incorporate that into episodes a little more if we have time we’ll sailor on the ocean today and take a look at things but but yeah I just never know I I feel like exploration is

Boring but I I don’t know that’s just me if you guys want to see more exploration just let me know and we can absolutely do that and we will of course be getting into more farms and stuff but today the build I have been preparing things

Before the episode for once I know who is he it’s me and all of the things are actually in my inventory I’m like super prepared so prepared that I don’t even know what to do today I think I’d like to build a haunted Church now or this is

Gonna be weird right like I I don’t know I’ve never built a haunted Church before but I I’m saying haunted Church because I don’t know and I should probably be doing things while I talk I’m saying haunted chair oh no I’m saying haunted Church because the nether right we’re

Going to go to the nether very soon maybe next episode maybe the episode after that and I’d like a building for my portal so that’s what we’re working on first today before we actually make the portal I think the nether is evil right that’s like pretty straightforward

I think everyone would agree to that and the evil nether needs an evil building so how do we make a building evil well of everybody knows an evil building as a haunted building so that’s what we’re going for we’re going to build a like an old run-down old church type thing it’s

Not really a church because it would be worshipping the nether which is something different maybe not for this video we’ll save it for a meme or something but yeah so so the church and I think this old church could actually sit over here so nether portals if

You’ve never made one in Minecraft are noisy portal noise is not my favorite noise in the game if I’m being honest and with that in mind I’d like to put the portal far away from everything else that I’ll be working on and this area over here where deforesting is indeed

Far away from everything else I think we could separate this old church building with like a wheat field or maybe not wheat but like potatoes or carrots or something like that just to create a buffer zone so this area is good we’re nice and cleared out but now I actually

Have to terraform a little bit more i and you could pull this ground down just a little bit because taking a look at it we have this weird hill and the hill can can absolutely go away and while I dig this this land away I’d like to talk

About the nether just a little bit the nether is a completely different dimension of Minecraft they know there’s been around for quite some time and it’s evil it’s very dangerous bad and dangerous but it’s worth it you can get some really good loot and find some really good things and make some really

Good things in the nether like a blaze farm or a wither skeleton farm and with a wither skeleton farm we would be able to collect enough wither skeleton heads to summon the wither and we summon the wither beat the wither we get a beacon which is a really really good item in

This game so the nether is evil but it’s worth it and there’ll be a whole episode on the nether and my tips and just information so we’ll save most of that stuff for that episode but just know that the nether is evil and if you’re going to it you should definitely

Prepare a little bit because did I mention it’s evil Oh and the floor is lava like everywhere pretty much so yeah that’s the thing and after clearing the land here I’m going to go ahead and raise the land over by the shore just a little bit so we can get

Our building a little closer to the water I like the idea of being right along this river so I will fill in this low cap I haven’t mentioned it but anytime you’re doing a build I recommend placing down a material chest somewhere near your crafting bench I recommend

Doing this because your inventory is probably going to get crowded if you have a resource or material chest over near your workstation then maybe hopefully fingers crossed your inventory will stay a little more clean for me does that always work not really but it is just a little general tip that I can

Give to you so the build I I have a vision in mind let’s see if I can actually make it happen I’m picturing a stone back area on the build and then more of a wooden front if you will the front will be back here and then the

Back will be along the water so I need to figure out my placement um I’m not sure how this stone back area will will actually work but I think it should be taller than the rest of the build I’d also like to have a stained-glass window

On this area so let’s see we have two and then maybe three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve like that and then maybe this wooden part like the front area can be be ten like a little more narrow than this big tower then we

Could have some kind of huge window in the middle or maybe even two separate windows with stained glass maybe depicting a picture if we can imagine all of that we’ll see so then we’ll go one two three four five six maybe seven eight eight is good so something like

That then we can I think curve in maybe only two blocks on either side uh-huh you know they I think this is the first building we’re actually building in the world to like I mean we have the vine farm thing and we have the wagon but yeah I guess we’re

The barn the barns are building – so the wooden area no let’s use some spruce wood to mark this out so we can get a vision first I always recommend marking things out before you just jump into the build so if we have our building kind of

Pop in like that could we do this you know I think so the hallway doesn’t or the building doesn’t really need to be that wide right so let’s say we do the this first wood on the inside just for now and we’ll do beams as well on this

One and then maybe one two three a beam right and then one two three another beam one two three another beam and that should actually be good that would be a pretty long build and then we’ll do the front door over here we’ll reach our form cut away some of the

Trees and things that we don’t need over here so something like this looks pretty good on the front because we are working with an even number we’ll do a double wide door I’m fine with that usually I don’t really recommend that or even like that it’s all personal preference but

This time that’s fine we’ll make it work but here’s the thing we we won’t actually be using wood on the bottom of this build I think it’s time to start incorporating one of my favorite minecraft blocks into our builds that block is the amazing stone brick block I

Love stone bricks and I love mossy stone bricks even more probably stone bricks look amazing with anything and one of my favorite block combinations in this game is stone brick dark oak wood and then spruce wood those are the three blocks that I think we’ll be using on this

Build now in here I’d like to get some windows going on but we have only a three wide gap so we’ll have some very very narrow windows that go probably pretty high up I’m thinking maybe something like that I’d like a tall tall build we will work on this connection

Down here a little later on in the build but first we need to get the structure in with every build I always recommend getting the structure in and then coming back and adding in the details the details include stuff like moss Stone burg I am laying down the mossy

Stone brick right now but usually I would recommend just waiting till the end of the building coming back in and creating that little mixture of blocks all of the small details can be put on later and should be put on later because when your builds in an early form like

This it’s going to change a lot I’m building all of this right now but odds are I come back and change a good deal of this because it it just will look different once I start actually building the thing but here’s the thing this stone area needs to be taller than the

Actual build we’ll do a pretty standard just peaked roof just a 45 degree angle one with snares probably and then back here will be a tower which means probably just a flat top we could go on top of the tower and sort of use it like

An observatory which would be kind of Oh a blue mushroom then observatory so we can just see the area around us now hmm hmm this is the thing I I decided to do this so wide like this is really wide so this might have to get tall to look good

And that’s where I I may need to change something already that’s just wide right like like it’s it’s it’s wide hmm so not much I can do about it though to be fair unless unless unless unless I wanted to do this I could go maybe one two three four

Uh-oh hey how about this we’ll go one two three four uh-huh and create a small dome instead now it’s not as close to the water as I’d like which is easily fixable I can add one more segment here to move the dome forwards but you know I think

That’s a little more preferable than this giant square one we don’t need that much room anyways it’s it’s just a portable building you know I have an idea the first part of the idea involves another beam area but this time we’ll do one two three four five a five wide

Section on the other side of this five wide section we will do that whole dome thing that I just built a minute ago by doing this we’ll have the church right up along the river like I wanted initially in this five wide area we could add in a little bit

Of a cross-section and possibly another doorway we will have a doorway way down at that far end but maybe in this five wide area we could fit in a second door kind of a little closer to where we’re working and a single wide normal door on

This build I think a single wide door would work maybe even a little better than a double wide door so let’s plan on doing that I’m finally happy with how the build is is turning out so it’s time for me to go ahead and get in some of

The blocks and start making this thing actually look like a building this is by far my favorite part of doing builds I love just focusing in and getting buildings built so let’s see what we can do now now now I’d like to try something a little different on the front of the

Build so instead of the front wall being set in like that I think we could actually move these stone bricks out here and pop the front wall out I think we should also try using more stone on the front wall instead of wood so the front of the church looks all old and

Worn out we will be using a lot of of mossy cobblestone on the build once we come back and start detailing the thing so maybe something you know just kind of going up like this and then eventually we can actually have this thing sort of start to go upwards with the roof so

Something like that but probably a little taller and then this would come down so we have like a door there and maybe even a front window on the build something kind of like that and why am i building giant aise all over the world interesting now over here I’d like to

Give you guys a little bit of a build tip on the wall and and how I’m doing it so depth is important in a build if you can get depth in your build more often than not it’ll help your boat that’s why I’m doing these beams popping out of the

Wall and everything and why I’m also doing this if we place tears on the bottom there instead of this weird you a plank into stone brick texture combination thing we have a smoother transition or what is a smoother transition in my eyes I like the gap there I think that helps separate the

Planks and the top part of the build from the bottom foundation part of the build so I’ll be doing that and all of these areas doing this does create a little bit more of an issue with you’re trying to use glass panes but it’s fine we’ll figure it out a little later on

Now at the top of the windows I think I’d like to just throw some first wood in here to kind of cap them off so we have these nice and tall windows we’ll worry about making the inside and the outside of the build all fancy in in a little bit now over here

I I thought about popping this out a little bit like like this and you know I think it could work I think we could do that we could have this area sort of pop out and we’ll extend the wall back just to hide the beam from the inside like

That I think that could be cool and then we’ll just mimic it on the other side not that we’ll have a door over here necessarily but we can just mimic it over there and have the same exact thing on either side for symmetry sake and this wall could also probably be the

Majority stone so we’ll have stone going up this wall and you know a door in there and then maybe a roof going diagonal up to the build or how about going this way cuz we’ll have the roof going long way like that I should probably just jump up there and show you

Guys I have a really bad habit of visually pointing around on my screen with my pointer a instead of just building so up here the roof will do you know a standard 45 degree angle roof and then over here on this roof by the by this guy the talkative one will do

Another 45 degree angle roof but going the opposite direction end nowhere near as high now on the roof I think we’ll be copying the barn pretty much stone separators in the middle and then dark oak wood in between these stone separator things they just call them now over on the tower

I think we might be able to actually make a circle out of that and have the tower pop a little higher than the roof but I think it’s about time to do the roof on the build and by the way on the front we’ll have to do something a

Little different well mess with it and figure it out but it will be different over here on the front of the build and and of course on the back but the back will have a tower so the tower will sort of handle that side of the roof the roof

Will go up to here and we’ll just do a 2 wide Center peak and then the same thing going down on the other side of course with mossie variation going on in here and lots of dark oak wood so I should well yeah I should probably count down

Another dark oak tree hey hey somebody over here dropped a lead and it’s mine oh you won’t get that back that’s mine thinks I appreciate it no guys so before I finish off the whole roof I wanted to come back in to talk about roof intersections because sometimes they’re

Weird and this is one of those times there’s the small side area I I know I still need to make sure the church looks haunted and work on that but up here if this roofline were to continue going straight across we would hit this one

And that is where we need to to turn this little roof over here to make sure it works with the other one to turn it now that’s pretty easy we’ll replace the slabs where we need to with staircases and then continue the staircase straight up sometimes it’s not this easy but

Thankfully we kind of lucked out this time down here we’re going to have a little bit of a weird area so I think what we’ll do is a full solid block there I will be coming back in and placing slabs on the underside of all of

These stairs so by just throwing a full block in this area we kind of solve all of our issues and where are you going all right whatever men so the roof it’s it’s coming in that’s looking good but I am thinking about destroying it a little bit we we need

Some holes in here right to make this look all old and and to make it look old yeah oh so I think I’ll come in and randomly break some holes in this thing and they get some leaves to hang down to the inside of this to make it look like it’s ruined

Now I do need to come back in and get some variation going on with a cobblestone but we will also be placing slabs on top of all of the cobblestone to make these support beams look a little higher up then the stairs I’m doing this to preserve that whole depth

Thing that we talked about on the roof as well over here on the tower I think a big thing I’ll just go straight up pretty far with this and pretty much continue the shape all the way around I think we will actually stick with cobblestone for the majority of it and

Then lots of Windows we whistle try to do some stained glass windows we have a smaller area for windows now but I think it’ll work still so that’s where I’m at with the build and what I’m going to do and by the way down here we will

I think fill this up with some more staircases like that too to make sure the roof doesn’t look so thin because if you look at this that looks really fragile and that’s not what I want a 1 I want a strong roof so when I come back

In here the roof will be done they’ll be holes the vines cobblestone and and more maybe and maybe a tower I think it’s time to just jump into the build and continue to get it all done if you are ever ever ever ever trying to make

Something look old and and haunted in my case haunted scrapped stone bricks cracked stone bricks are the way to go so I started to mix them in down here I have a lot of the build in I think it’s coming along pretty well ah let’s see maybe we can see it yeah

From over here this looks like a lot of cobblestone right now and and I know I have a few different ideas as to how we could break that up but I think it might start to look a little better once we we get glass in here and then vines I’d

Like to have vines like leaves hanging off the side of this thing going down and making this area look really really rundown inside of here we have lots of leaves I started to you know kind of place them so they’re falling out of the ceiling but I didn’t really get too far

Along in that process now on the front of the build I I was having trouble I have been trying to decide do I want wood in here like filling this area or do I want something else like like I don’t know like I could do cobblestone

In here and then like a beam going across site I’m I’m just not you sure I think I’m gonna do cobblestone a little bit of cobblestone in here and then yeah like um I guess a wood border in here that could look okay I think we can mix

A lot of cracked stone bricks on the front of the build to make it look like like the church is falling apart in a way something kind of like that lots of gray I don’t know as always plants on the outside will help make this thing

Look a whole lot better like it we have lots of bushes down here and then probably some hanging off of the top as well like that so something kind of like that I I think that gives the whole haunted vibe we need a window in here I a door over

Here and then something on the floor way back over here at this grand like back area is where we will place our nether portal eventually so right along the middle and there even of course but yeah so that’s what I’m thinking with the whole build now the floor the floor is

The the next thing that I’d like to tackle it should be pretty easy I’m thinking well I was thinking maybe we do this hmmm I was gonna do first planks but then I was like wait there’s first planks on the wall course turf for sure

In here though lots of dirt and maybe a little bit of oak wood oak wood might might do the job course dirt oak wood path blocks you know everything like that to make this whole area look really really rundown so maybe I should start with the path locks and then come back

In here with all of the other ones now we need to we need to we need to we have to take advantage of the brand-new 1.14 wall blocks in the build and I need to go get more vine so I’ll come back for those but walls can come in here for

Extra detailing and the walls will allow the wood to peek through a little bit on these up these little corner areas which i think is a cool look now the roof is going to be pretty simple to do I think we’ll just tower up and then do you know

Staircases on the the bottom of the staircase is where they need to go and then leaves everywhere else lots of leaves hanging through to make the build look really really old now we won’t be finishing the whole build on camera today I’m sorry but we will be finishing

A lot of it so this is probably reaching the end of what we will be doing today I think I’ll go ahead and wrap this all up really quick and then get back to you for the outro now I mean if you ask me I’m pretty happy with how the build is

Coming out it’s not quite done yet and I think the top of the build maybe needs a few different types of leaves on it to make it look really really overgrown but I I’m actually really happy overall with how this build is coming along so over

Here inside of the build I’ve done a little bit of work I have beams going across on the top now so the whole roof section is pretty much done and I could come back in and place some slabs on the cobblestone but I don’t know if I really

Want to I do need a little bit more leaves in some areas though I’m just sort of waiting for a tree to grow over there but I decided to place campfires in here to add some smoke into the build and the campfires not only add smoke but

They also add in some light to the build so a lot of the church is actually pretty well lit and we won’t have to worry about mobs there’s a little more lighting that I need to actually get in here I’d like to come back in with some lanterns for sure but I’m

Pretty happy with where we’re leaving the build for today so I’ll come in here with some fences to go down the side I like to add fences coming off of my support beams to make the support beams look a little more supported then maybe lanterns for sure but for now we could

Do like ah I don’t think the Georges are even necessary just maybe some lanterns and we’ll need some glass in here or something like that again more leaves but for now this is the Haunted Church hope you guys have enjoyed this one a bill the episode another very very soon
