Dirt that flows like water in minecraft and becomes actual dirt very soon hello and welcome to omgcraft i’m your host omgchad this is a show that’ll teach you how to become a minecraft expert in no time today we’re going to be taking a look at a little mod that Should make your life a lot easier we’ve all been there out and about and a creeper explodes next to us and you have to fill in like a hole with dirt what if i could tell you that you could fix that hole in 10 seconds that’s right it’s called liquid dirt and Let me show it off so here we are in a little world that has a whole bunch of different mods added in but it also has the liquid dirt mod and this is what it looks like when it has been created it’s pretty simple pretty simple stuff Now how do you make it well the recipes are also very simple the easiest is to find a water bucket so get a bucket fill it with water and then add dirt to the recipe and that will make this and imagine this is of crafting pillar if You’re wondering so this is a crafting grid so those two items will create a bucket of dirt uh it’s actually called liquid dirt and but in in parentheses it’s called mud so if i cover over you can see it says mud in the description another idea is to use Ice dirt in a bucket or a water bottle dirt and a bucket and those will give you all the same thing which is this bucket of liquid dirt this is a trash can pillar which i thought was adorable uh so what do you do with it well like We have this area this is a just a simple nine uh it’s cubed well it’s a it’s a three squared anyway you understand it’s there’s nine blocks uh to fill in and with one bucket of liquid dirt if we put it in there after 200 ticks which is about 10 seconds in Server time this will change from normal liquid into actual dirt now you saw that some of the flowing liquid did turn into dirt and some of it didn’t that happens to do with i think how it updates that this will turn into dirt and then this one is Still liquid so it’ll turn into dirt but maybe this one has stopped flowing because it’s so far away from the source that does happen every once in a while but it is no big deal now it’s also good to note that because this is in a mod Let me go ahead and turn on any eye if you look for liquid if we look for mud there we go you can see that it can be uh in a few different forms and this will work with various different mods so it can be pumped and pulled and sent through pipes And that sort of stuff if you want so that is a good thing to know let me grab a few more buckets and show off some cool stuff because we have this gigantic meteor crater and we can put down a little bit of dirt and let me switch into game mode one Enter and you can see how it is flowing down over the side isn’t this really cool and after that 10 seconds here it goes it is turning into dirt and you can see this is a very effective way to cover a very large area with a lot of Dirt and with the mod capabilities that this has you can see that you could pump this into a room and use this to fill a whole whole big area now i was doing some other stuff earlier i found a volcano i covered it in dirt over here i put it along the wall You can see it kind of far off in the distance there and it flowed down onto the ground here here’s the volcano that i covered in dirt and you can also do some cool stuff where this was just on the ground so if i throw some dirt on there it’ll flow off And that will create kind of this nice little hill of dirt over time by just a few buckets of dirt and you as you know if you ever played minecraft water and dirt is not a very difficult thing to come by in the game so you’re pretty pretty set uh in terms of Uh this being a lot of resources it because it’s just not whenever it interacts with another type of liquid as you can see over here it will just push that liquid oh that’s actually just a block sorry over here it’ll push that liquid out of the way just like that and so They won’t mix and then one of the then this dirt will become a solid block or at least the one underneath now it also does an interesting way of slowing you down while you’re in it because it kind of represents mud as i’ve been saying so Whenever you step into this you will be given slowness too it’s a little hard to see with my any eye there we go uh slowness two over here so you will get an effect uh if you step into the liquid dirt liquid into the liquid mud this is Just so fun to play with i just i have to say that it is just a kind of a really fun thing to do you’re just constantly looking for stuff that you can cover in and then after a while it will turn into dirt it’s just a really fun mod this mod Was created by ace 5852 and will run on minecraft 1.7.2 instances of forge go
