Building time building time who will win and who will fall find out when we burn the wall is building time hello everybody and welcome back to building time this is the show where i’m in stampy candy to build in time on a friday all right stamps how are we doing my

Friend are you all right isn’t it weird how like when you spin your legs just don’t move like it’s like you’ve been on my screen no but i mean like they don’t they’re not like like walking move they’re just spinning aren’t they yeah yeah well it’s like i’m on roller skates

Like i’m not isn’t that weird welcome to building time everyone i just i was just thinking that for a second like that that thought just came to my head and i thought i’m gonna share this with everyone what i’m thinking about let’s share what stamp is thinking in

His mind what do you think in stamps ice skating roller boots that’s what stamps thinking right now well currently i’m thinking i’m regretting sharing that laughs imagine if you had the power okay you had a spit you had a special breadstick okay which was like a magic wand right and just a wand

Because it’s making it wacky okay so you have a magic breadstick yeah okay yeah and at any point you can just tap it on someone’s head and then they immediately say whatever it was they were thinking wouldn’t that be like the most amazing people would fear you

People as soon as i don’t as soon as you walk in a room people would start thinking about like saving puppies from buildings and stuff like everyone would like me just thinking of like nice compliments and stuff to that person there’s a lot of people in this world that that do that

Anyway they don’t think before they speak and they generally just say what they think anyway i think there’s a lot of people with the special breadstick you know connected to the brain at all times so i think we do have them sort of people in the world stamps

So but i i i wouldn’t i wouldn’t care about them i would do i would go to the secret of people you know like would it be fun if like like a woman comes out and she’s like does this dress make me look fat and then she tapped the

Breadstick and here’s the true response to that question you know like there’s so there’s so much power you don’t have to give it a magic break but anyway uh in the last episode we managed to build these balling alleys um so yeah there’s gonna be no votes this

Week we’re not going to reveal who won because we wait until next week aren’t we stamps we’ve got two weeks to vote you guys can remember yeah so so basically because uh squid’s away at the moment so um we’re recording this video a little bit early uh so if

We’re now doing a uh a new topic over here we’ve got a brand new area so um i guess that since we don’t have to reveal any votes we can get straight into it yeah we’re gonna save a lot of time this week stamp saving lots and lots of time

One of my tweets now we’re in another episode of building time he’s plugging his little bowling alley you know i want to explain that tweet a little bit what my thought process was look tap the breadstick on my head and i’ll tell you what i was thinking so basically um

So squid tweeted saying that he needs like a like a minecraft expert to build like a map someone who knows like command blocks and stuff and so i replied saying i’m a genius and you also asked for and you also asked you also asked for like an example of a

Map that they’ve built and so i thought like right i’m gonna try and send a video of like i was trying to think of what’s the worst thing i’ve built as a joke to send it as a as a as a video and i was like oh i know i’ll send quest so

I said that that night’s quest video anyway let’s shall we get on with it that’s irrelevant this was our chance to have a quick opening to building time but even when we had nothing else to talk about we still we still managed to ramble yeah so

Much to waste five minutes so anyway the topic for today is hey don’t you be getting no schlappy potions up on me right today’s topic is a winter storm by chance so so the weather storms the um that’s from uh minecraft story mode that’s very specific i’m trying i’m trying to remember what

It looked like i remember had big i’m gonna can we give ourselves a bit of creative liberty here can we not have to build that one can we build can we just look at the word wither and storm and create something if you want i’m going to build

The wither stock because i can remember what it looks like well i mean i mean i roughly remember but i don’t it’s boring if we just both try and build that exact thing really it’s going to be so similar you could build a weather storm that looks like a

Stick with eyes and it’ll be rubbish and i could build a really cool one so i’m gonna build how did you know what i was gonna do i’m gonna i’m gonna go for the topic because that’s what the topic says i think it’s one of these builds where it’s not

Just like a building it’s one of these things we actually need to build it well to look like what it is so this could quite easily go absolutely terrible and just look awful so i think this is a really good topic actually i have just googled with a storm so i

Got a picture now and i know what it looks like what you were talking about wow we’re never that’s not against the rules how do you know is that against the rules well i made the rules up i came up with building time so i’m saying that that is

Perfectly fine which is lucky because i completely forgot what it looked like i was going to build something very different so i still think i will i still don’t think i’m going to base it on the pictures too much maybe i will i don’t know we’ll see anyway let’s begin in three two

Two one go right with a storm here we go so yeah i have i have bought a little picture up on my screen because i also had no idea what it looked like so um but what i’m going to do is i’ll build the wither storm pretty accurately what

I say accurately i’ll try and build it as accurately as i can and by the way i’m sure squid has brought up a picture by now as well so it should be fair yes i’m going to build the with a storm kind of just as it is

And then i’m going to kind of just build stuff around it i guess like i can build like maybe as if it’s destroying a town or something i think could be quite good so i’ll try and get the wither storm done as far as i can and then i can

Hopefully focus on all of the details the problem is the winter storm is very big that’s kind of the first thing you think of when you see the wither storm compared to a normal wither is well that is a that’s a big thing so it’s going to be it’s going to be tricky

To to get it built quick but i think if i kind of go for my keep placing blocks mentality like if you just keep placing blocks eventually you’re going to end up with something big it might not necessarily look perfect but then you can kind of go back and kind of keep

Tweaking it and it does all look kind of quite random and all over the place anyway as i kind of just by placing blocks like this i should hopefully come up with something that roughly uh looks with a storm shaped so it’s got three heads and they don’t look anything like

The normal river it’s weird like it’s called the wither storm but it doesn’t actually look much like the wither at all it’s kind of it’s black and so i don’t know if you i mean you might want to look up a picture as well so you’re

Going to have an idea of what i’m building it’s got like these big white teeth uh it’s got these um like purple like cyclops eyes it’s nothing like thinking about it i don’t know why i meant didn’t mention this in the uh any of my story mode let’s plays but um it

Doesn’t look anything like the wither but i guess it’s got free head that’s kind of where the resemblance ends so this is kind of uh going to be the main part of the the body done i’m going to make this bit down here a little bit thicker and i’ve actually got this bit

All done pretty quickly actually i’m kind of i’m kind of proud with uh with that and so now let’s go and try and add in the uh the first head so uh i’ve kind of kind of running out of room a little bit here already to be honest because i

Got three heads that i need to fit in so let’s try and make these these heads are a little bit smaller shall we and kind of try and do the the entire thing a little bit more scaled down they got like really like box jaws you know their

Mouths are really quite square and i mean of course they’re minecraft now so you might you might expect that a little bit but they’re like they’re not kind of rounded at all so i guess i can kind of do a straight box like this and actually

I’m going to do the top jaw slightly higher uh just so then i can fit all of the um the teeth in and maybe one of the other ones i’ll do the the mouth shut and make it look different i’m actually i’m kind of proud of this uh compared to

Last week i don’t know if you saw last week but if you saw last week i tried to build a um a working bowling alley and i spent a long time working out and i i struggled with that one but this one has been the complete opposite i’ve started really

Well the big question is can i can i continue to build this well throughout the um yeah throughout the uh the entire episode normally i have either a strong start or a strong finish and oh no i’ve done this wrong because there needs to

Be an eye exactly in the the middle so i actually need to extend this all out a little bit wider i think it’s worth doing it because it didn’t take too long to build this but anyway and the teeth look good as well don’t they this kind

Of pattern of alternating teeth uh makes them fit in really well so there we go this is the uh the front here and then we can have the eye in the the middle there so let’s go and build this up a little bit taller because they also have

Like um they kind of like their tractor beams i can’t think of how else i’d describe it you know like the um there’s like a purple i guess light wave coming out of their their eye and so be good to try and do that i could maybe use like stained glass uh

Purple stained glass i think would look pretty awesome with her with that as let’s go and build the uh the back of this bit in a little bit and so i guess this is where the the rest of the the body i can kind of get filled in around

Here and let’s just get the heads done first because um yeah i think that’s obviously the the most important part so let’s do this next head let’s do it like a little bit higher up and over to the side here so let’s let’s uh let’s go

Like a little bit further out just to uh to make the most of the the room that i have available to me and let’s maybe make the next head come out about uh here it might be good so i want to go out uh how far apart did i do them

There’s one two three four five so if i go like this then i’ll go one two three four five this should be the the same kind of uh uh same kind of shape but it’s just a little bit higher into the the side there it’s like a it’s a little

Bit of a weird looking one i might make the uh the body a little bit bigger because at the moment it looks like it’s got oversized head it looks quite cute actually compared to the uh the normal with the storm and let’s have this one with a slightly closed mouth then shall

We so we’re going to still add some of the the teeth in and what we’re going to do is if the uh the mouth shut uh just just to make them all look a little bit different as if they’re kind of pulling different faces i gotta imagine what

Would it be like to to live life with free faces like that like you just gotta hope that you get along with the other two it would suck that like as if you were stuck with three heads and you got along with one of the heads but then

There’s one you didn’t get along with in the middle at all i saw look at oh look at oh he’s using obsidian i’m not trying to pick but i just saw it poking over he’s trying to build out of obsidian unless he’s doing the eyes out of obsidian

I’m not sure because it looks pretty black like it is kind of black and purple um but yeah it’s just looking at the the picture i don’t know if it’s just my picture but it looks it looks pretty dark so it’s kind of yeah it does look like he’s building the entire thing

Out of obsidian but he’s gone big he’s gone very big actually he’s he’s trying to build an absolute enormous one um yeah we’ll see where that pays off i mean if it works out and he gets it finished uh building it bigger might be able to make it more impressive but uh

Yeah there’s also you know you’re also also adding the risk of not getting it done which is uh so that i want to avoid to do so let’s go and do this head up here i’m going to try and do a little bit higher up along this side and then

I’m going to go out like this and then now i need to go five in between that should be five there one two three four five just like that and let’s go and add this head in here i don’t know if i’ve built the heads too close together but i

Really i really don’t have much room to spray them out any further this is looking pretty good actually i quite like this one and let’s try and make this one so it’s mouse really wide open if we can do that so let’s go like three

Blocks up this time and let’s kind of do it as if it’s the uh the mouse opening so i’m going to do this bit like this then kind of slope it down a little bit uh this might look rubbish but let’s let’s play around a little bit let’s not

Do it the same i don’t want to just build the exact same head three times let’s kind of go back like that and do the back of the head around here somewhere uh let’s go and let’s go and add the eye in first shall we so let’s

Go and build the front up here and put the the iron let’s see whether this mouth looks okay it looks like it looks like it’s like this is the old man one and all of the teeth has fallen out that’s what this one looks a little bit

Like yeah let’s kind of do these teeth there like that and then let’s kind of add these teeth in here uh like this as well as if this mouth’s kind of been opened and actually let’s fill this back bit in a bit here because that looks a little bit weird so there

We go that is the uh the slightly stranger looking one so let’s go and uh let’s have another swiftness potion actually because that would run out and let’s go and get the rest of this in i am proud i am proud of the progress i

Have made so far and i don’t want to start celebrating yet because i still have of quite a way to go uh yet before uh before i’m done uh as you can see there’s just a big gap in the body here so i’d love to start adding in the

Details and adding in more things but i feel like i just got to get this body and all of these heads completely finished first because i can’t i can’t leave the um leave it like this because it’s with the body bit actually kind of goes up higher than some of the heads

Like it’s not like the um like you might assume that the the heads go on top but actually this body goes up uh higher than the head so let’s just kind of build it up like this and uh not worry about doing it as random and then i can

Just go in and uh kind of random it and put blocks all over the place and break away blocks as well uh just to kind of make it look more natural you know the thing that you want to avoid doing is just uh you don’t want it to look

Perfect basically you want to make it look a little bit messy and so i want to make sure that i do that because this is like this is a living thing you know this isn’t i’m not building a building and i think that uh the the thing that

Is uh so difficult uh building a living thing is a is it’s very easy to try and make everything perfect like when you’re building you know you often try and make things symmetrical and everything lines up and you do perfect patterns but the real world isn’t like that you know a

Lot of buildings are like that but the real world isn’t so it’s it’s funny how it’s it’s much easier to build you know a giant skyscraper than a realistic looking bunny for example you know it’s way harder because it’s hard to to kind of make something look natural or even

Like a a plant or something is normally more difficult to do than other than a building so this is a this is in the realms of natural i mean i wouldn’t call it particularly natural i mean it is a giant evil boss that you know exists in

A video game so it’s not entirely natural but you get what i’m trying to say don’t you all right let’s go for this because i want to make sure that the um the heads stand out i don’t want to i don’t want the body to kind of just blur

In with the head so let’s try let’s try and tackle this front section here because this bit this bite bit might be a little bit more difficult to do i’m kind of completely covered up one of the other teeth there but let’s try and uh

Get this body to kind of go up over the heads uh like this because that’s kind of the the way it goes and let’s kind of make these uh heads look a little bit less square on the top as well i might go and mess this one up a little bit

Kind of go up a little bit around here and then i guess i can kind of bring this bit up as well let’s see how that looks because um yeah i mean my plan to to do this quick and then build other things is uh it’s kind of backfiring a

Little bit now because i don’t really think i’m going to have a huge amount of time to do anything else but i mean that doesn’t matter the topic was to build the wither storm and i i am going to at the end end up with some sort of wither

Storm at the end of this whether it’s going to be good or bad is going to be something else but i’m going to end with a with a storm done i really do want to get those tractor beams in i just feel like this is it’s so much more important

To to get the actual wither storm done first like the body like i don’t have a big hole in it like i always prefer to have something not as good but be completely finished rather than try and be too ambitious and not have time to get the entire thing finished so i think

Uh for now let’s just try and get uh the rest of this body uh all linked up because i’ve only got just over five minutes left now time has a time has quickly got away from me and i don’t think it’s like necessarily i’ve got slower i think just the heads was

Actually probably one of the easiest things to do and the bottom of the body wasn’t too hard and now i’m kind of getting to the the more difficult way and what look at look at squid what is he doing he’s built an enormous one oh he’s he’s got to be rushing i wonder

If he’s got all the heads done how has he built something that quick because i thought i was building quick and he’s built something that ginormous hmm i wonder if he’s going to have as much time to do as much detail as i’m doing i’m a little bit worried now though

Because if he has built it that big and it looks as good as mine i think he might win on the vote just because of scale just because of how big it is i think that it you know it might just look more impressive but i’ve pretty

Much uh finished filling in the uh the body around here and this looks okay i kind of need to i kind of need to add some more blocks around here maybe break some uh away at points as well actually let’s not do that that’s getting messy and i’m

Not over the edge am i not i’m safe from going over the edge i still got a little bit of room so let’s just kind of play around here a little bit and make it as i said look a little bit more natural because it kind of looked it kind of

Looks a little bit like a wall at the the back there and i didn’t like the uh the look of that section there as let’s kind of just start adding in uh blocks all the way around here and uh some down here there you go this is uh this is

Starting to make it look a little bit wilder and a little bit better now adding in some more blocks around there and just making it look a little bit less boxy which is always a challenge in minecraft all right let’s go and step back and let’s see the work oh it looks

Good that looks that looks really good actually i need to add some tentacles on it though so let’s go and add a few of these so uh they kind of come out from all over like places randomly on the other body and i can’t go much further

Out but i can go up so let’s kind of have uh some of these tentacles going up maybe like this and then around this way so i’m kind of kind of do the the general shape of the uh the tentacle and then i’m gonna go and spend a bit of

Time building it in and i keep getting glimpses of squid he has definitely done more than one head how has he managed to build it that big and he’s still got three minutes left as well so uh yeah i really need to go all out on just the

Fine tuning and the detail because i think that’s going to be where i’m going to have a chance of winning i think if we go for who built the biggest one squid’s definitely going to win uh so i just try to need to try and i don’t just

Make it look better i guess so let’s uh go and do that and let’s add a bit more uh a few more blocks around there there we go there’s one tentacle up there i need to add at least one more tentacle never always that one’s gonna

Look silly so let’s go and have this tentacle uh reaching down this way maybe this one can may probably like go and loop forward a little bit so i’m going to go out to the side i’m just kind of trying to make the the most of all of

The uh the room that i have so yeah this tentacle can go down here then let’s just go and add a bunch of blocks around it just to make it a little bit thicker it’s actually quite a simple thing to build like you look at it and it looks

Crazy like when you see it in story mode but actually building it in you know normal minecraft has it actually not been too hard and you know i’ve only had 15 minutes to build this with zero planning and if you really sat down to make one of these you can actually do it

Pretty well and this this bit of the tentacle looks a bit weird i think it needs to be a little bit thicker here uh just to yeah make it look like it’s not gonna fall off from the uh the weight so there we go there’s uh another tentacle

Down i gotta get at least one more tentacle i look silly with just two tentacles so let’s do one here and let’s maybe have this one reaching backwards this time so you can kind of reach up like this way uh make it go up a little bit maybe a

Bit to the the side so you can kind of see it better like that and have this one reaching around here i’m not over the edge am i i’m getting closer oh that’s that’s right to the very edge there so i can’t go oh actually am i over let’s

Let’s be safe and just just break away those just in case so oh yeah let’s go and add this other tentacle around here and then i’ve got a little bit of time left so i’m gonna go and just see if i can do the the tractor beams because i think

That’s gonna be uh the final detail uh that will hopefully make mine stand out like i can just see squid so i can see that he hasn’t done the uh the tractor beams yet and so if he doesn’t decide to do that that could be another thing that

Makes my one stand up so that should be uh that should be good for the uh the tentacles i look like sorry i just i’m just completely staring at squid i’m not i’m not trying to but i just am right so let’s try and uh and uh do

These tractor beams coming out then shall we uh uh how’s gonna be the best way to do this i guess if i kind of go i mean if they go straight out that looks a little bit weird i kind of need to to staircase down a little bit so let’s go

Out like that and then staircase down like this a little bit uh does this look um does this look okay um i think it looks a bit i’m gonna i’m gonna just do one tractor beam i think from the front one’s eye and kind of just make it so it

Goes and spreads out if that makes sense so if i kind of go like that and then go around like this aha i think i think this might look better and i can go like this and then go out a little bit wider here as if it’s kind of one beam getting

Bigger i think i think that might make it look a little bit better and so i can kind of go actually let’s just fill this entire area and i think that will make this uh easier to to build so i kind of go out a little bit wider here like this

And then i can kind of go like this i can’t go too much further out just because i’m getting very close to the uh the barrier here so let’s just go and fill this section in and how close am i on it right that’s that’s the barrier

There so that’s all we have uh for the the tractor beam but i do just have a little bit more time to add a few uh final finishing touches uh just uh just to make the the front look a little bit better and kind of uh fill in some some

Gaps that might need to be filled in but apart from that that is going to be uh time up so let’s uh unmute the uh the mic and let’s speak to squid and uh finally see his wither storm uh pro hello squid nugget yeah i can just see yours but there’s no

Need to burn the wall i could see it the entire time you just built completely over the world sorry about that right are you are you ready to have already right i i built my wither storm out of walls so i’m i’m going to be fireman for

A little while and keep an eye on mine just uh just in case did you enjoy that then dude that was good that was a good one so i kind of i i was i went traditional i just built the wither storm like i just said

Oh no it’s a vital horse rip pass no that was the wither storm it’s attacking that was intense that was pretty tough well i just had you built you’re so enormous i couldn’t believe how big i just i was like whoa he has gone giant

Block places and then just coming up with stuff and then i got like the particles coming off of it as well and i got the tentacles in there but yeah it was um it’s kind of tough getting all the ships like looking this is a prop well it’s a surprisingly easy thing to

Build if you think we had 15 minutes like if you really spent a lot of time you could make an awesome looking one of these couldn’t you it was just the scale that i kind of i wanted to do like from the ground if you look at it it’s kind of

I mean both of us are like quite big sir so i i thought yours was bigger than it was just because i didn’t realize like because yours is quite is more floaty than mine i guess yeah i mean i mean yours is obviously bigger still um so

Mine mine’s pretty much the same so i went with black wool rather than uh obsidian um and uh yeah i had to i had three tentacles i tried doing like a tractor beam you see you know like they have the tractor beam coming out the front where they like pick him up so

That was my best attempt at it like if i had more room i could make it look better but i thought i wanted to try and add that and i tried to make the the faces a little bit different like the mouth’s a bit different but it was

There wasn’t much amount of freedom that i could i could do but yeah that’s that’s my weather storm nice i kind of like that this week because i don’t know it was i like i knew exactly what i wanted to do as soon as i saw the topic sort of thing it wasn’t

Like oh you know how to build this how to build that like it was do you mean that what it said when you saw the topic to build a wither storm you knew that you wanted to build a wither storm that’s his stamps like you know what he

Says like you build a hotel you kind of like oh what do i make it look like what was it going to be this is just like with a starbucks oh i love that style i love that deciding that that’s kind of part of the fun for me like working it out
