How to Download Your Minecraft Server World
If you want to use your Minecraft server world in singleplayer, as a backup, or on another server, you will need to download it to your computer first. This tutorial explains how to download your Minecraft server map so you can use it wherever you would like.
Stop the Server
Mitch advises that the first step in downloading your Minecraft server world is to stop the server. Leaving it running while downloading files could result in incomplete or corrupted files.
Use FileZilla for FTP
To download your world, you’ll need to use FTP, and Mitch recommends using FileZilla for this. He provides a link in the description to a tutorial on how to use FileZilla for FTP file management.
Create a Folder and Download Worlds
After connecting to FileZilla, Mitch suggests creating a folder on your desktop to store the worlds in. Once connected, select all the worlds you want to download and drag them into the created folder. This will allow the worlds to download to your computer.
Utilize the Downloaded Worlds
Once you have a copy of the worlds on your computer, they can be used in singleplayer, on a different server, or as a backup. After downloading, you can start your server backup and continue as normal.
Get in Touch for Support
If you have any questions, Mitch encourages leaving them in the comments below or getting in touch with their support through their website. He thanks the audience for watching the tutorial.
