Mojang released a huge article which will impact every single Minecraft player so this is what David tweeted out earlier going forward the new plan for Java Edition is to have multiple minor versions throughout the year including new content and improvements when they’re ready this way you don’t have to Wait for the next big major version update sounds incredible but what does this mean for the players and how does this impact us because more than likely if you play Minecraft this will impact you if you enjoy new content if you’re a modder if you play on servers this more Than likely will impact you so we’re gonna be going over all the information in today’s video in regards to major and minor versions in Minecraft so far this sounds promising so if you’re new to the Channel please consider joining the stealth Army click that subscribe button We got a ton of 1 0.20 content on the way and I just can’t wait to learn more about the next update so I’ll have all the information down below but here’s what Mojang has to say going forward from 1.19.3 Minecraft Java Edition will start to release multiple minor versions Per year including content and improvements that we think are ready to ship this method is easier and faster than waiting for major versions to be ready to go out the door major versions will still be released yearly containing fixes improvements and Technical changes what is a major version a major version Is a version that introduces a larger amount of new gameplay features and is usually packaged in a nice format these are indicated by the change of the second octet in other words from 1.18 to 1.19 these usually also have names attached to them such as caves and Cliffs or another update what is a minor version a minor version is what we tend to refer to to as dot release in other words the current 1.19.2 version is a minor version because it’s dot two these minor versions are smaller than major versions and don’t introduce as much Content previously these minor releases were mostly issued to fix critical bugs but now they will be a regularly occurring thing to add small improvements to the game how will this affect me this change will not have an impact on how you play the game instead it will let you enjoy more frequent Content releases as well as quality of life changes however if you use data in resource packs you might have to upgrade them between versions if you make mods expect more changes in minor versions from now on so relatively straightforward Mojang isn’t getting rid of anything so the large updates that we Get once a year those aren’t going away they’re still going to continue doing that but they are going to increase the amount of smaller updates that they do release between the major your updates so if they wanted to add like a new food or a new plant or possibly even a new Mob but not dedicate that to a major update instead insert that in a smaller minor update they can do that and I have a feeling they’re doing this also to include more Community ideas to include more feedback ideas and the reason I feel this way is because David responded To a tweet where he said 1.21 will be a brand new big update just like you thought however there may be other updates like 1.20.1 with additional features similar to how the pigland brute came out after the main nether update the piglin brute that’s right this idea originated on Feedback not only that it’s by one of you one of my subscribers created this idea a couple years ago so I think that’s really awesome that David is using a feedback ID idea from the nether update which is one of the best updates of all time to show us that you know This is going to benefit the community we’re probably going to get more mobs out of this possibly even mob losers like the isoliger and the moo Bloom and so many now at this point so the possibilities are almost endless that’s not to say that we’re definitely going To get feedback ideas out of this or mob losers out of this but it’s definitely a possibility now now that they’re trying to push out more content with the minor updates so share your thoughts down below how do you guys feel about these changes I’m sure my modders are probably Very frustrated with this I mean trying to keep up with all of that content all of those new features I’m sure can get very tiring and exhausting but I’m sure most of the community will appreciate this having content throughout the year even if it’s nothing big just having Something to look forward to will be really nice but thank you guys so much for watching I really appreciate all the support lately and I’ll see you all in the next video so take care peace Video Information

Major & Minor Versions in Minecraft: Java Edition
Going forward from 1.19.3, Minecraft: Java Edition will start to release multiple minor versions per year, including content and improvements that we think are ready to ship. This method is easier and faster than waiting for a major version to be ready to go out the door. Major versions will still be released yearly, containing fixes, improvements, and technical changes.
What is a major version?
A major version is a version that introduces a larger amount of new gameplay features and is usually “packaged” in a nice format. These are indicated by the change of the second octet. In other words, from 1.18 to 1.19. These usually also have names attached to them, such as Caves & Cliffs or Nether Update.
What is a minor version?
A minor version is what we tend to refer to as a dot-release. In other words, the current 1.19.2 version is a minor version because it’s “dot-two.” These minor versions are smaller than major versions and don’t introduce as much content. Previously, these minor releases were mostly issued to fix critical bugs, but now they will be a regularly occurring thing to add small improvements to the game.
How will this affect me?
This change will not have an impact on how you play the game. Instead, it will let you enjoy more frequent content releases, as well as quality of life changes. However, if you use data and resource packs, you might have to upgrade them between versions. If you make mods, expect more changes in minor versions from now on.
