Let me tell you a little story today in my lunch hour i thought i know i will get in a minecart and go round around on a minecart track and try and get the the 10k advancement for riding in a minecart i come back and look i’m in the nether how did that

Happen well i know exactly how it happened because i was watching the whole time check this out Yeah hello i’m here last time i came through this base i was burning and almost dying um well so the other day i came to logic space because i was just you know i don’t steal anything from anybody but logic um said i could you know what’s his is mine and i was

Looking through his stuff and then he logged on and acted like he caught me red-handed he’s very flip-flopping okay yeah so yeah okay we really need to take an action here though we do we sure do i think you do have like fun project logical betrayal in motion Oh boy oh boy okay i think the track with the water stream loop i was thinking of that whistler but the thing is though uh i was gonna put him in a boat but we cannot force him in yeah we force him in a boat uh no i don’t guess he’s not

He’s not quite like a mob it doesn’t work like a mob so we can’t do that what if we take him down in the overworld and replace him with another stuff oh that’s that could work yeah that’s clever because then he’ll think he’s in the nether and he’ll get all scared like

Oh my god he’s got plenty of nether right here too so activate a rail will run into cactus i think so you’re just gonna we’re just gonna cover him with another rack then he’ll he’ll just be there and he’ll he’ll think oh my gosh i’m in the nether in his but he’s really

In his own bag yeah see he’ll even he the uh the pigment next to it right yeah i like that i like that yeah and we’ve we’ve successfully delayed the uh him getting this minecart achievement doug that is the original goal is it’s simply just uh betraying him because he betrayed us

That’s fine exactly he’s he’s almost in fourth he really and you know logic he’s clever and he can just he’ll find his way back i’m sure yeah i’m sure about this this is what i do instead of advancing see i’m you’re we’re actually delaying ourselves this whole stream was supposed to be

Advancement hunting yeah and uh now it’s just instead i’m stopping logic that’s good though i love it uh all right let’s do that so i’m gonna do a bit of falling louder on this one oh god you were cruel pearl why so stop it’s not damaging anything i yeah

You’re right you’re right it’s obvious either way here getting that that’s uh 10k advancement sorry it’s so logical yeah all fun and gay man all as well in love and war that’s right that’s right enjoy your nether yep okay right i have to keep going with my bats

Yes i’ve got work to do too so uh best of luck anyone who reveals the contents of this chest admits poppy and pearl are the winners of the advancement hunt do not destroy you will be sad value inside so they are trying to trick me into opening this chest

And admitting that they are the winners well the joke’s on them because they have already revealed it on their stream that i was already watching so i know exactly what’s inside this chest but just to make sure i’ve got my faithful drone here logical geekbot

To take a look inside for us and you know he’s an impartial robot so whatever he sees doesn’t really matter so let’s take a look inside there we go it’s the rails that i was riding on to try and get the advancement and also my valuables chest look at this

And also a diamond block not quite sure where that came from i don’t think it’s mine but i’ll take that as a little bonus so yeah i’m definitely going to open this chest and take that stuff and doesn’t really matter now one thing they have forgotten is i control the website

And i can change their scores and there it is 10k on a rail they haven’t slowed us down at all well that was easy wasn’t it okay well one more thing uh yeah like i said i’ve done a little bit of editing on the website let me show you

So check this out they have been disqualified so i’ve just added that that’s just a temporary thing just a little joke i’ll i will remove it but yeah but i wonder what they’ll say when they see it but anyway this chest is now empty i’ve

Taken all the bits out of that we don’t need that anymore no more of those shenanigans and this car can stop as well all right let’s get on with the rest of the episode of course as well as trying to move up the leaderboard on the advancement front

We also need to create a build today and today we’re going to build a new furnace array and it’s going to be right here now this furnace array is going to be like this i’ll talk about this in a second and it’s going to have 80 furnaces so 40 across here

It’s going to loop around and then 40 along here now why are we building it well we do have a uh a smelter array over in the main village which is that way it’s only got 15 furnaces we need a lot more power than that we’ve got a lot of

Glass here to smell all of these builds it uses quite a lot of glass and it takes a long time for that to smell over there and also the way it works over there is okay as like a starter one but uh this one this one’s gonna be better just

Put it that way so the one over there you have to kind of manage the fuel and the and the items going in you have to kind of stop it and start it for it to load properly but this one’s just gonna be able to

Dump stuff into a chest and let it go and it’s gonna smelt a ton of stuff hopefully quite quickly as well because there’s gonna be 80 of these furnaces so this is what it’s going to look like so here’s two furnaces we need to repeat this all the way along

And let’s talk about how this is going to work so some of this stuff is pretty standard i guess but there’s uh some new stuff over here that i’ve done that i’m going to experiment with for this build to see how well it works out in in practice so here we have our

Furnaces of course now we’re going to have hoppers in the back that that are for the fuel there is a minecart line on the top of that so we’re going to use hopper mine carts to distribute uh the fuel in the back also the materials are going to go on the top

So there’s hops there going into the top furnace again with rail lines just to make sure we distribute all the items properly then of course underneath we have we have a hopper that pulls the items out once that’s melted that will go down into this dropper and what’s going

To happen here is as the item goes through this hop this hopper here this comparator will notice it and give off a give off a signal this observer behind is uh facing up so it’s looking at that uh comparator so when when that turns on then that

Will uh detect it that will then power this rail line here which then powers this rail line which this this observer down here detects which then powers this dropper so the item gets spat out so that’s uh that’s uh that’s a tiny ball design so here we’ve got alternate alternating

Or alternating uh rails and redstone dust so they don’t interfere with each other we’re going to do that all the way along so what will happen is as the items get smelted of course they’re going to go across here on a minecart so the first one will start slightly before

The next one and then the next one so then you’ll see items spit out this one then this one and this one this one is gonna look pretty cool and yeah we’re gonna have a walk away here to take the items into some storage so that’s basically the idea so

We’re gonna have uh some uh some smart stuff when it comes to uh dealing with uh the hopper minecarts and filling them up and sending them off on their way when they’re when they’ve got the right amount of items in that kind of stuff so i’ve got

A bit of redstone to do as well and of course we’ve got a concave in case all of this in a building so it’s all in keeping in our city and yeah it’s hopefully it will look all right so this is one that’s going to be a bit of

An experimental kind of shape to it as well it’s not going to just be like this we’re going to have some other other bits and pieces to it and yeah this this whole city is pretty experimental so some of the stuff will work out some of it won’t i think

Some of the comments i got on this one was that it was uh quite white a lot of white to it which is true and so i think with this one i’m going to try and inject a bit of color i’ll make it stand out a bit more like

These other ones we’ve got over here all right so let’s get on with the build and yeah see how this thing works out and here we have the furnace arrays if i’m going to go through the middle yeah i can well there we go that is that’s the

That’s the guts of it that is the main part of the uh the furnace array now we’ve got all the uh all the furnaces in place all the droppers uh observers all that kind of stuff all in place with the rails as well ready to go so you can see at this end

This is where the the minecarts for the fuel and the materials will go along here they’ll turn around and then go up this side to the very end so the next thing to work on is uh the bit of redstone at this end which is going to be uh responsible for

Making sure the minecarts are filled up to the right amount before it sends them off and then controls basically the items and the minecarts so bit of redstone over here to be done next but before we do that i need to speak to slice lime he’s online we need to discuss

This whole advancement thing lime i can see you you’re in this massive hole yeah it’s a little bit of a dig a little bit holy holy jeepers look at all this this this is this is my kind of dig though lots of machines lots of technical stuff

Yeah awesome man it’s gonna be a guardian farm but right now it’s just a slime for him i think yeah very impressive but listen listen we’ve got we’ve got problems right and i’ve got a proposal for you really if you if you want to just just want to hear me out

So the whole advancement thing right um poppy and pearl they did me wrong they did me wrong they sabotaged one of my attempts for an advancement yeah i was trying to get the the 10k on a rail so just on in my bases going around around the rail minding my own business

Not hurting anybody they come on over they break the rail they try and trick me to you know into thinking i’m in the nether all sorts of things and they’ve teamed up those two have teamed up can you believe it so really we need to so well first of

All i kind of disqualified them what’s on the website says disqualified but that’s just a little joke just a kind of just a little warning friendly warning to let them know who they’re dealing with so i thought maybe me and you could team up would you reckon

Well i mean i didn’t think that teaming up was you know allowed but if they’ve started it yeah yeah definitely i’m all game okay awesome but listen here’s here’s my proposal so i’m kind of competitive but not super competitive so i reckon a bit like you know in formula one you

Get kind of you get like you get teammates but there’s there’s always the the kind of team orders you know the you know to try and get at least one of the guys in the team to get first place so i reckon let’s try and get you to first place and

I’m happy with top three that’s my that’s my that’s my thing so how does that sound all right all right yeah we can do that i you know personally i think we should aim high for spots number one and two but you know whatever we can do whatever advancements we can get

We can get higher on the list that’s the only important thing okay sounds good all right so to cement the deal to submit the agreement i’ve got something for you to give you an advancement i know you don’t have so oh that’s perfect because i have something i’m pretty sure you don’t have

To pick those up there we go there we go awesome and pick those up yes everybody nice one brilliant i’ll hand them back so you can keep those nice and safe there we go awesome stuff okay now we’ve got those now obviously with the creeper heads we’ve got some

Other advancements we can get with those i think with the the rockets and there’s also a banner as well i think or something like that that we use creepy heads for so oh yeah they will keep these handy first yeah some future things all right i think we need an enchanted golden apple

For that banner that’s going to be tricky yeah we do and i think i need that for the uh there’s the one for eating all the different foods so i guess that’s the same oh yeah yeah oh if you don’t have that you can get like three different

Advancements from eating that i got that that was really nice okay awesome all right dude well that’s pretty good so team mate this is going to be really good right so i’m going to try my best to uh to catch up i’m currently in fifth place i think

Uh right in the heels of sausage but i reckon i’ll be top four before too long so yeah that’s awesome and then we’ll just like make sure we keep every single item that we get for advancement somewhere handy so we can share it yeah awesome okay that sounds great all right

I’m gonna head off leave you to your hole thank you very much have a good flight you too thanks a lot see you later the redstone for controlling the minecarts is in so let’s take a quick look and see how it works so this line here this is going to

Provide all the fuel for the furnaces that that line right there and you can see that so we’ve got this angled detector rail that’s to enable us to hold the minecart here while it fills up with items from this chest this is where we’re going to put all of our fuel

In this chest and we can add some more chest to this a bit later on if you want to so over this side we’ve got a comparator that’s going to read the contents of the hopper minecart it’s comparing with this redstone block which is a false with obviously which is a maximum strength

So we’re only going to get a signal out of this comparator if the minecart is totally filled up to the brim which then powers this block powers all of this powers this block which then opens the gate and releases it so that circuit allows us to only release

The my car if it’s totally filled up to the brim now that is not always what you want because sometimes let’s say we’ve uh we’re running out of fuel let’s say we’ve just we’ve totally emptied this chest and the minecart has still got enough fuel in it to to continue to fuel the

Rest of the uh the furnaces we want it to release on in that case as well so we want it to release if the if this is empty or if this is full up the minecart is full up so the way to do that is we are detecting with this comparator

How much stuff is inside the inside the chest now if it’s empty we want to power this line and open the gate so we just got to add resident torch right there so obviously that comparator is checking that which will then depower the torch if the chest is empty

Which again powers this line and opens the gate now i’ve also added this piston over here so if we ever want to once we’ve finished with this we just want to make sure it stops then we can just flip that lever which removes that block from the circuit breaking the circuit and then

Forcing the gate to be closed so that’s a way to lock the minecart into place if we want to do that and what will happen is the minecart will obviously go off go around the circuit come around back again come around to here and then it will come off this this rail

Here onto the detector rail and if if it’s still in the correct state it can just keep going round and round and round until it gets to a point where it has to stop and then you know get filled up with some more items and that’s it pretty much that’s that’s

A pretty cool circuit pretty happy with that now at the top for the materials we’ve got something very similar indeed the only difference is there’s a slight difference here because i don’t want the minecart to be totally filled when it goes off i just want it to have enough items

To go around and fill up every every uh every furnace with at least one item so with this circuit what i’ve got here is the same thing basically the same thing here but instead of having a redstone block next to the comparator we’ve actually got a composter here at level four so that

Will mean that this will release the release the minecart when it gets i think it’s something like 92 items something like that which is obviously more than 80 so then it will release go off fill all of the the furnaces with one item come back and then get some more items before it

Continues so there we go that’s that’s pretty much it this is the furnace pretty much done and working so we need to give it a test so i’ve added a floor down here so when the items are fully smelted they’ll get spat out of these droppers and land on this floor here now

We’re gonna have some water streams going this way and then we’re gonna have to take the items out of here into into some storage uh but that is something we can do in a little while so pretty good now there might be some tweaking we need to do to this

It’s gonna depend on the fuel we use and yeah i’ve in my testing depending on the fuel you might get some uh might not be so fuel it might not be perfectly fuel efficient but that’s okay um i think i’m happy with that at the moment and we can experiment with fuels

I might have to remove some some furnaces we’ll talk about that a bit later on maybe um to get it a bit more tweaked in terms of efficiency but yeah pretty good so far so i think the next thing to do is to start building up a building

Around it a kind of uh surround because we want to hide this thing away we can’t have this out in the open like this in our city we need to have a building of course so let’s get that done next I’ve made a start laying out the kind of shape for the building and as you can see i’ve added some of these platforms around the edge they’re kind of in keeping with some of the other platforms we’ve got we’ve got like we’ve got one over there we’ve got

Some other ones over there on the on the portal side as well so that kind of keeps it matching there we’ve got the white underneath with the black trim similar to the other buildings that we’ve got as well now i’m trying to work out what i’m going to do with the

Items i think the items i’ve added the water stream which you can kind of see there we’ll have a look in a minute but the items will come out of there i think they’re going to go this way and then into some chests on that side i think

On this side we’re going to have a bit of a building here not sure what to put in it just yet um we might have maybe in the future a way to generate some fuel maybe a little kelp farm or or even a bamboo farm something like that maybe so we’ve got

Some space for that in the future let’s take a look down here so if we scoot on down to the furnace arrow you can see underneath i’ve added all the water streams so we’ve got obviously water flowing this way we’ve got slabs there so items can flow underneath the slabs there’s ice

Underneath and if any of these droppers like this one here spit out they won’t get stuck on top of the slab because we’ve got water there held back by these uh by these signs and i’m going to add some glass on top of this so we can walk

All the way on top of this and see the items and obviously inspect the furnaces to make sure they’re all empty because sometimes you get items stuck in there through the hoppers that shouldn’t be there so that’s where we’re up to so far so the items will eventually

Come out here so i think i’m going to take them this way and then probably over here somewhere and yeah have a bunch of chests on this side so that’s the plan so far now one other thing i think it will be quite fun actually is i noticed that obviously over here we

Have our comparators just here and they obviously take a signal whenever there’s something inside the hopper something coming through so why don’t we add some redstone lamps next to these just like that so then when we’re side on we look at the building from the side and it’s actually smelting we

Should see a line of uh the lamps kind of lightening up as items come out that would be pretty cool i think so we’re going to do that and yeah i guess now it’s a case of you know encasing all of this into a building that kind of you know makes sense

In the city so that’s the next step so let’s roll the music and let’s get this thing built Me Oh There it is the super smelter building is done you can see down the side there you can see the rails there so you’ll be able you’ll be able to see the mine cart uh as as it as it works and we’ve got the redstone lamps as we see as we

Spoke about earlier so you’re so when this is in action we should sit from the outside so try to add a bit more color now so we’ve got uh we’ve got super smelter so we’ve got the two s’s that one’s back to front there and obviously the lamps on the side as

We said and on this side we’ve got this uh this building which isn’t really used at the moment but um we can probably use that for something in the future but i thought they looked nice to kind of add add a bit of extra uh height variation

On that side and then over here we’ve got a little landing pad we’ve got a big e here for elytra there’s an electric landing pad right here so that’s pretty cool as well we’ve got the normal things on the top to kind of add add some decoration a plus some color

Behind the glass there to kind of spruce things up a bit so it’s not so just black and white but not so monotone so that’s that but now the next thing is we need to give this thing a test and see if it actually works so the items uh will come up here

And end up in these chests so we’ve got this water stream here got some pipes i thought it was quite cool to have some kind of pipe work that they go through comes out here so you should see items coming along here through the waterway so let’s check this out so i’ve already

Added uh some fuel so this is the fuel box in here so there’s some blaze rods in there and of course we’ve got the minecart underneath it’s fully stocked ready to go so i need to turn that on so let me get up here and we can release

The fuel by just flipping this lever over here so that should release the minecart and off it goes so we should get a blaze rod in each one and we should see it well we’ll see it on the way back maybe but we’ll see it come all the way back down here

And then it will go round there is it should go around and it stops for a bit to get some more blaze rods because it only continues once it’s totally full but if once it wants to full up it will go again and it’ll keep going around and uh

Totally fill up all of these uh all these furnaces uh with blaze rod so that’s cool we’ve got the fuel in now it’s time to do the same thing with the materials i’ve already put in a whole bunch of sands there’s one chocolate box worth of sand in there

So again let’s turn this on and see if it works okay that’s a good sign okay so there is one on the floor with this which i spoke about earlier and that is that it’s not field optimized so what does that mean well if we look at this

Look at this one right here you see that the first glass finished and then the second one comes in but there’s a bit of a gap in between that’s not massive so we’re not losing a lot of fuel but over time we do lose out on a little bit

Of fuel efficiency and that’s because the minecart doesn’t come back quick enough uh before the next one so the way the easy way to get around that is to remove a couple of furnaces from the end i think but i’m going to test it out and see how it

Goes now now underneath we can see the glass coming out look at this so if i stand here look at the glass look at it it’ll get shut out into the water looks pretty cool and then it comes down this side as well there we go very cool very cool

Love it so that should all get washed down here you can see it all working underneath us i kind of like that that feel when you kind of see see the redstone you see the minecarts you see some see some stuff working and we should see the items coming up

The water stream there they are and they should go into the chest right here so it’s working okay and if you look along the side here let’s check out the uh the lamps hopefully we should see those uh go across from that side there we go there we go

That that is items going through the hoppers and the uh the comparators over there and checking them out now this last row just here these these ones are just for show they’re not linked up to any uh any any of the furnaces so they’re just to kind of make the outside look good

Because they’re right here not linked up to anything okay that looks like it’s working so i’m gonna let that run and then once it’s finished we’ll check and just make sure that nothing’s got stuck or anything like that make sure we’ve got a full sugar box

Worth of glass in the chests over here Uh um not quite sure what happened there i wasn’t really paying attention when i was on the strider and i got stuck on the block and i’d lost 165 levels and all my stuff all my gear everything gone oh well not to worry i’m sure we could recover but looking at scoreboard

We are still fifth with a with 621 points so we are gaining on sausage we are going to be in the top four before too long now let’s go and check out uh what happened with the the smelter we’ll have to swim over there before i get my gear back so let’s head

On up the stairs and in here there is our shulker box worth of glass so it all worked the super smelter works so that is good news uh at least something went well this episode but that’s pretty cool we’ve got a reliable and uh much faster uh super smelter for

Us to use which is really good because we use a lot of glass over here we’re moving up the leaderboard on the the the advancements front and we have teamed up with lime so that is really good i lost my stuff that’s bad that’s really bad
