Um around the same time I discovered Vocaloid actually I’ve had it it’s always been bad yeah around like 2014. this this character is an old soul I love I love him all the same but I figure this stream could be used to discuss his origin story before the

Current series I have him in which I feel would be interesting and fun Eclipse I think I hear your dog also it just looks like your personas barking oh okay okay uh so which probably get started on this Bloomington let me tab back in okay this brush will not do okay

Okay so I preemptively gave away his name but this is a character I’ve had for a while renya master except that wasn’t always his name plot twist he wasn’t always written he wasn’t always written uh basically he initially started out as akari Aki or akariakine I couldn’t decide um but basically uh

At one point Rin was um I’m trying to try to remember but basically at one point he was just a vocaloid at the time she um but basically he was just meant to be a vocaloid like character that I wanted myself to voice because yeah I still do

Love Vocaloid and stuff but like to be completely honest um Vocaloid isn’t like the only thing I want this character to be because I’ve had him for so long and I’ve had so many different ideas for him that it just feels wrong to have him be one specific thing steam just popped up

Yeah I wonder why oh bloody hell now we must play during a stream I don’t have it so I don’t have to be in that you’ve given her ideas you didn’t know my twitch is it is it not just blaze tree oh that explains why I couldn’t find you

It’s it’s like my very old Discord username uh so one that we wouldn’t know yeah because like I’m pretty sure like a couple of people in another role play group knows my old username but like I changed it because I wasn’t fully comfortable being called well

I’m just going to say what it was it was kitty cat I wasn’t comfortable being called well Kitty fair enough I mean people people always used to mispronounce my username they said Okami is like okay me or something I’m just like what how the [ __ ] did you screw that up so much

In the span of like one word how I feel like that’s a bit okay I’m trying to make like a palish sort of yellowy tone because I know they usually have like uh this character is Asian by the way he’s like Japanese so mimic that on the skin

I I don’t want him to be like stereotypical but at the same time I want his him his identity um as a Japanese man to be distinct I love how I keep jumping from topic to topic back to the story basically um uh akari at the time was my wow

At the time she was supposed to be with this character Hinata bar owned by one of my other friends thing is that that I don’t think that that character exists anymore in at least the same degree so like basically um yeah I the thing is these characters are like

They were all made around the same time all nine of them there were nine there were nine there were nine there were nine of them most of them were owned by my other friends because for some reason they couldn’t stop making characters um but initially their whole point was their Vocaloid rip-offs

And since we didn’t know what gay was or trance or anything because my older sister hasn’t hadn’t come out at the time so I didn’t know what Gale trans was even though I was on the internet um but basically um he basically um Rin Rin once again at the time akari was

Asis woman as weird as that is for me to say he he was technically my first one of my first female characters aside from my persona Diamond golds who has since been retired but I’m thinking of bringing them back for another series that [ __ ] was a pony

Like speaking of like not knowing what something was that just reminds me of a very funny story go ahead with the Stream I think I once like I’m not sure if I was aware of what I was doing but I think I once accidentally made a trans character oh yeah interesting

Yeah okay so uh okay I’m gonna continue on with my story real quick so basically um I had a akari up until like I had well up until like um um I guess like 2016 2015 maybe 2017. I don’t quite remember one of those years um until I changed her into being that

The thing is I since most of the Vocaloids had gender bent versions of themselves I made one for akari named akaru and the thing is when I discovered oh [ __ ] I’m trans and I don’t feel comfortable playing feminine character or like female characters feminine is fine female blue basically um

Uh it basically turned into uh akaru being what akari was basically um so a bit so um he kind of I guess showed up out of nowhere for the others and at first they didn’t really get it but basically um akari in a CaRu became like I guess

A way for me to cope with being trans at the time because he yeah who joined hi Alpha welcome why did I hear the Discord sound what the [ __ ] okay not gonna question it but hello hi I’m telling a story did he mute yes okay well uh Alpha’s here now say

Hello everybody he’s gone again never mind goodbye okay um we’re gonna ignore basic okay so basically um Rin uh okay so um at one point uh basically eventually Rin evolved from being akari and akaru into being his own entity master the one that everybody knows of today

The one that I’ve kept for like the longest because [ __ ] hell I’ve kept this character for a while um but yeah no basically um that was [ __ ] that was recently actually like um [ __ ] hell when was that um it was like 20 2019 2018. I think I don’t know uh around that time

And that was about when I got fully into Minecraft role plays and the origins mcrp group so I moved Rin on I like I moved to rent along from being a part of uh the old connected universe that he was a part of and I changed it to be um uh

I changed I basically just renamed him oh no actually no the renaming came before that so base so the rename was in 2018 then I moved him along 2019 2020. um so then I moved him into the origins mcrp uh Spear and and basically made him for my hero Origins

Well remade him for my hero Origins because bloody hell I was a big fan and I needed something to put rain in unfortunately he never got to have his debut in the performance series he wasn’t gonna be in the initial version of the series by the way I was I

Was making him for the sole purpose of having him in season two um but basically he was just a cringy self-insert sort of character unfortunately so it’s nice to be able to do him some justice to be honest um basically he um uh sorry I’m trying to I’m trying to think of words

Um so [ __ ] okay why are words difficult why are words difficult um because the because for some reason was needed to be difficult thanks for that please English is horrible fair enough but um basically funny funny little fun fact here um the way that I drew Drew Ren’s bangs like

Since like 2014 to now I hadn’t changed his bangs once at all they’ve remained in the same style this entire time that is a long ass time um and oh yeah basically akari initially started off as a Hatsune Miku ripoff so when Turner Kara was a hatane mikuo ripoff

Um also with a mixture of kagamina in there for some reason I don’t know for some reason I drew those [ __ ] with a mirror and akari initially just had miku’s outfit so I guess I guess akari was meant to be like a fan Lloyd at one point I don’t know

I don’t what was I thinking as a kid that’s a question that everybody asks at some point understandable because bloody hell we were dumb as [ __ ] kids I’m having trouble with my woman okay Okay so and the thing is the funny thing is I am I also never ended up changing his uh

Color palette for the longest time so I’m actually getting around to changing it so that’s fun um what what was the initial color palette the initial color palette uh you know the skin that I was on the server on uh yesterday all right yeah basically I’ve been keeping that

Same palette except I added whites because for some reason I didn’t give him another neutral color so he looked like absolute dog [ __ ] but like when you said yesterday I sat there for a second thinking wait is it earlier today sorry I completely forgot like I didn’t know if you meant like for

Me yesterday or for you yesterday for me yesterday sorry okay yes I’ve practically memorized on skin Maps where everything goes oh my God how did I do that and what how did I I guess okay let me just extend oh is that oh is that uh

I kind of don’t want to show off the old skin but at the same time I might have to um okay um okay so basically the thing is I need to figure out what I did with it so hold on let me just oh yeah because I need to just remember I

Need to darken the colors of the initial skin because I’m trying to make them more like neutral and stuff that’s that character nope nope I need to do redesigns of a lot of old old old characters because actually I should probably pull out because I’ve released a couple of

Them on Twitter so I kind of want to pull out which ones I should do redesigns of on stream stream and just explain the backstories and how they came to be they’re all like there are like all those C’s like like an entire group of all the OCS I

Want to completely remake and rewrite a lot of blood plot for them understandable stream it it’s a lot of fun it’s a lot of fun they’re a bit nerve-wracking because you feel like you’re giving away Trade Secrets um that’s that that’s that’s that what is half of this [ __ ] uh

Oh um and finally actually um Rin is actually getting finally his own his [ __ ] his own story arc with his with like okay so the thing I can’t say much actually how much do you guys reckon we could say Eclipse your lead I don’t know okay well basically oh yeah true

Um basically Rin is getting finally his story told alongside a bunch of new friends and hell even a couple of old ones if I reach out to that friend that I initially made the character with that would be fun it would be fun to have a cameo from like Hinata

I realize Hinata is The Only Name you guys that everybody knows here so there was okay I’m trying I’m gonna I’m gonna remember all these off the top of my head so there was um there was Hurricane Hinata um Sora Mio um kimari [ __ ] I’m missing one home and summons from my great

Oh oh no no different hamari um I think initially her name was Hikari but we changed it to hamari because it was too similar to akari and the thing is that was actually meant to be in that lore um like akaru’s pre-transition name and initially I was I was trying to push

Out a bloom and web comic for it I think I still have the pages on a hard drive but like oh no basically you got to see you’d get to see my old old art style as well as the way Hinata used to look he recently all

Of the casts um I think received redesigns I haven’t spoken to the person who I made the series with so I haven’t seen the cost for quite some time okay okay so basically um yeah hold on so basically uh [ __ ] hold on let me just remove this

And just turn that on all right that’ll do basically Um this was Rin way back when that’s what I needed um but basically yeah yeah I’m not too fond of this I’m not too fond of this old skin is what I’m going to say so yeah oh I have a DM from someone or a ping what’s going on here never mind

Stupid little drawings that I made when I was young at the same time I don’t want to reveal my old insta at so why would I do that um but basically I have had this character since at least 2014. I do I do I do still adore him he’s like my favorite

He’s my favorite boy he’s my favorite child don’t tell the others I said that that will make them upset but basically I love this character he is my all-time favorite out of all of my [ __ ] characters okay I’m kind of like really liking the character I made for the project who I

The fact he’s the wren’s more based on me than the other character is but basically I uh yeah yeah so basically yeah that’s yeah I need to stop he’s not gonna be as child as I’ve been doing in like just goofing around yeah that has it has been a lot of fun goofing

It’s probably I should probably um speaking of that I remember what you were making so I do actually want to mention what the projects were that Bryn was initially a part of I don’t want to give away too much so I’m only going to be mentioning the old projects and not

The one I believe is the current one um but basically rin rin’s a character that was supposed to be so initially um it was supposed to be just Vocaloid think like oh what’s the name of that one Vocaloid webcomic that I’ve read that I really really really

Wanted to do like a parody sort of thing of uh I’m glad Tick Tock wasn’t on Bloom and want that one page uh so basically I used to read this uh comic which is hold on um I used to read this comic called um where’s it going a Future Sound it’s by

Star circuits it was kind of incomplete but it is like it was like a really really really really really really really really good like comic and I I loved it I loved everything about it it was it was amazing like so basically I wanted to do a

Series sort of like that I might still do that with Rin but like at the same time like I don’t really want to use Ren for it so I might just make new characters but basically it was um it was a series where um the actual Hatsune Miku kind of went uh Missing

So the like beta version of Hatsune Miku the uh if version from the nendoroids I think people would remember the mat jerez um basically she kind of took over like she kind of showed up to PR Pro the like Krypton house I think that’s what it was called

Um found miku’s uh a thing called a muse so basically um there were these little like Critters that came that were along with the Vocaloids that helped them create music um and it was I thought that was like the most amazing concept so I wanted to

Do a series sort of like it and if I get star circus blessing I probably could um but would you like to see what Drew uh I would have I’m gonna have a look at him like when the stream’s over so that’ll be oh in a few hours okay

We’ve only been streaming for like hello welcome back you miss Sly you missed a good chunk of ryn’s origin story you can watch Back In The Stream later um but basically um he devolved he evolved from that series and slowly but surely he’s made his way between that into a complex multiversal web

At least initially he did um wherein basically he was in like a sailor moon knockoff series he was in um a [ __ ] what was it sorry I’m trying to remember um he was he was in a lot to be completely honest with you um but the one I remember the most like

Clearly is the Sailor Moon knockoff series wherein with the set we’re in alongside the Sailor mooncast um there were other Sailors actually that was written and his group of eight friends um so there were sail a blood moon so this was when we realized what gay people

Were by the way but there were several Blood Moon Sailor Blue Moon um sailor black star for some reason and um I don’t quite remember what hamari was but um basically I love how Blaze immediately bounced like on my screen as soon as I said the name himari that was perfect timing

I think it was because I was still I was moving around my chair probably but um you know basically um we just had this really cringy Sailor Moon are you because we didn’t know what the other planets were so we just made them oh different moons different parts of the

Moon basically the moon was meant to be divided into four different things so there was the Dark Moon like where where dark lady came from um the regular moon with Sailor Moon then there was the blood moon and the blue moon and the thing was um

Rin’s mother at the time named ritsu was supposed to be Bloom and homophobic for some reason and basically she uh well she was homophobic and transphobic and friend was trans so story conflict I guess basically uh at the time Ren known as akari and Hinata was supposed to be getting married to

Um and a feud between the blood and blue moons for some reason they were feuding I don’t know um but basically um basic basically um uh when when the kingdom of the Moon went down the other the other three blood the other three Moon kingdoms remained this like intact somehow I don’t know

Which was I I don’t I don’t know what happened there but uh basically it’s sometimes when you’re younger in writing it turns into a mess of trying to connect the dots yeah I’m trying to connect the dots in my head and it’s not working um

But yeah um I have a lot of like old comic things from when I was like when I was like um like nine like eight nine or ten oh God but like I’ve read some of them and I was like what the [ __ ] is going on understandable all right um

My old running is the definition of a random [ __ ] go oh I love this this oh [ __ ] I’m not I’m not gonna touch it I’m not gonna touch it all right we’re good we’re good that was almost a heart attack and a half I almost missed it to restart okay

Um basically Okay so ignore my dog oh my my thing went as soon as the dog barked my thing went I love that okay um Okay so basically okay so um I’m trying to anyways um my my for some reason I I don’t know but like throughout the a running theme with

Rin’s initial character is it well written Rin was uh Brennan Hinata were always a thing that only just changed recently because I pulled away from the other creator as well as I did with most of my other irls oh my God hold on she won’t shut up okay it’s fine there’s

Probably just a cat now driveway there’s a lot of cats around um anyways no dear Gods okay um so a running theme with the please just try and ignore her um her running theme with uh with Renaissance that there were always a couple but like they were probably like the worst couple

In the series in hindsight like Ren was Bland like yeah basic at the time okay see ya basically basically Rin was like uh completely like absolutely like a bland ass character he was just so basic and [ __ ] and to be honest the other the other writer didn’t really like him

Despite the fact he was like the series was initially meant to focus on him with the other eight characters are supporting but then all the other eight characters slowly became main characters so basically I I took a bit too much uh inspiration from Hatsune Miku at the time it seems because

Bloody hell like nobody liked him it’s like I didn’t understand why at the time but now I do and I’m just like oh God oh God he was a [ __ ] character and not even like a shitty person he’s just he was just a bad he was just badly written

I’m not sure if I can get any like two comments on my old character writing because the only person who can technically read it is my mom and I can’t send any of the pages to anyone to like read because well they’re all in Swedish oh yeah that’s that’s annoying okay

Um but basically I had a [ __ ] I had like some the thing is Rin had a whole like big family thing like he had he had a large family in comparison to what like most Japanese families notably are like Rin he had an older brother a younger sister

And he lived with just his mother at the time and the thing was at the time initially um the whole family was supposed to have like our themed names to sort of fit in with the world because like my old friend had a group of had their like

So I don’t know if you already picked up on this but Hinata himari and harika were all related so they all had H names um that’s um that’s interesting it was a weird thing I don’t know if their parents also had H names so if it was

Just the siblings but I went with that same like concept and uh well um uh we ended up with this was this was before I renamed Rin so Rin was basically the black meant to be the black sheep of the family um so we had ritsu regi akari well at the Karu technically

Um and then Remy so that’s when I decided oh I’m Gonna Change uh akaru’s name to Wren because it made sense to me because all our themed names but the thing is um okay recently I did okay so I kept regi’s name up until this point

But I did change the rest of the family’s names and uh maidrin not fatherless so yeah so we have now got Um I don’t remember the dad’s name but he has a h name then we have then we have Chihiro his mother um reiji is still the same wren’s still the same but Remy was renamed to Riku I actually you should probably check the father’s name it’s on a script hold up I ever made like an entire family’s worth of names I would um lay in my bed and question reality the thing was I was like we were like really young so we thought it was cool but and apparently I think my friend was watching the bloody loud house or some

[ __ ] because of all of those Bloom and L names okay bloody bloody bloody bloody blur where the [ __ ] it where okay nope nope uh need to find other voice actors for certain roles who okay but like you want to know something uh you want to know something about my

Um naming scheme specifically for characters with well Japanese names go ahead research research research fair enough I I’m trying to like usually when I went go for like a Japanese name I attempt to do research in how would the two names fit together and what do they mean together

Fair enough also I found the dad’s name you know how I said it was a h name it’s not oh it’s I took it oh my God I’m trying to like like my ultimatic character I like my human character I’m trying to remember what exactly I was mean to me with her name

Fair enough Chihiro and Riku with 2K okay so like oh raging hasn’t shown up in the script yet okay so like apparently himari’s name is like himare’s first name in Sun and her last name means Heavenly plain my brain I don’t remember my mom sent me something to do with uh

With the local convention in my area and I didn’t see it until just then oh bloody hell like I remember that like I just like when planning out a certain thought point for your Mari that I won’t mention um I was also like thinking about said

Characters name and what I make it be the opposite of what modi’s name means I need to change the police I need to change the bloody scripts this was written for the previous series it still says Canada it still says Canada waited wait an authors take place I will explain everything that happened

In that old series but please but please just know at one point I had to age Rin up and then hm back down hi Alpha welcome back um I don’t know if he’s gonna still hello cheesy likes my skin um but anyways uh but basically yeah um hello hello

The initial version of the skin our idea uh let me just thing is he it went down when it was tied up it went down past his butt but he usually has it tied in a ponytail so it doesn’t drag around because it does reach the floor I feel like for

Um Yuki one of my characters I think I make like the skin version of the hair shorter than the than the art version that’s probably a small thing to do but am I smart no what is intelligence um I might actually make it like a pixel longer uh

Okay okay I think that looks good um might actually make this a little bit like yeah yeah it looks better doesn’t look asymmetrical I like that I like that so now it feels just short of his butt um it’s it’s a bit shorter than what it was

So it’s not as insane and it also gives a way for the future version to have longer hair instead of shorter because uh well we are going to show the future versions of the characters but I will make that skin off stream but um should I start making that making one

What he’s supposed to initially look like in comparison to um well this because while it’s the right shape that part’s not meant to be there it’s a monolid that part’s not meant to be there so they might actually um turn on this layer just so that way yeah but that’s supposed that’s basically

Uh I need to just give him a bit more of a friendly appearance basically as you can see already a somewhat of a major improvement from the old eye because you can see how angular it looks especially with this part over top of it so basically he looks angular he looks

Mean scary angry sort of character he also looks just generally uninterested in everything because of his eyebrows so when doing the eyebrows I’m doing them a bit more up here give me a minute they need to be resting but they also need to look like kinda and softer

Because he’s supposed to be a lovable character he’s supposed to be the cat he’s supposed to be appealing looking while I’m all for misleading appearances and such like no Rin is supposed to be it’s supposed to be clear what he’s supposed what he is to everybody friendly yes friendly sweets kind natured

No it’s not that he can do no wrong everybody can do wrong it’s just yeah that’s just a facet of Life yeah it’s just that foreign okay so basically now now I can see that this part is too like angle angled down so I need to bring it up a smidgen

All right let me just okay let me just all right um now he just looks he looks even more bored now he just looks eternally bored um let me just uh fix that uh give me a minute sometimes drastic times call for drastic measures foreign So now he looks a little bit friendlier so I just kind of slim out the eye a little bit just to actually give him the appearance of his own like race and [ __ ] because he needs to actually look somewhat accurate like the eyes can’t all be about personality you also need to show

Nationality um say for example some races have more like uh let me just make a new lathe they’ll just turn on this layer I need to redo that entire thing but it’s fine it’s fine it’s fine um basically some have um wider set eyes or some a little bit like closer

There still needs to be enough room for a nose say for example you did an eclipse thing and just put like a nose like a nose like here sure it doesn’t do anything really to benefit the skin but it’s there that is a cute little detail

Also you’ve got to make sure that you can actually readjust these eyes for like other Expressions if you want to just so that way it’s easier for cinematic people to do stuff with them also if you want to just install macro keybinding it works as well I don’t know

If blaze said they’ll be right back or if they’re listening I am right here all right I wasn’t fully sure also yes quiet fair enough um okay but yeah bloody hell you gotta make sure that when you uh get to outlining and coloring the eyes

You put it all on separate layers in a separate like subfolder in amongst your line art and coloring folder so that way you can just copy all of the specific files from that one and just put it in the up and just put it in the other

You can just put it like on another file thing that’s the same size and you can just go ham at other expressions sometimes you do need a mouth for some say for example like a pissed off face so you need space for a mouth on your skins as well

Whether it be a one pixel or two pixel size it’s fine just as long as you can fit a mouth in like that you can also move it up or make it bigger I’m waiting for this string to catch up and if you [ __ ] up that’s okay you can resize things

And also free transform them just to make things look a little bit smoother all right has this has the stream caught up for you uh yeah I think so okay I think so I should Okay so we’ve got the basis for the eye down here so that’s the eyebrow the eye itself the

Iris and the pupil that’s all you really need to start off then moving over here gets a little bit more tricky so basically you don’t want it to turn out like how this one did just uh it’s not it’s not the best it’s not the best look
