Her readings everyone this is tango back with another tutorial and today I’m going to show you how to make a very fast system for smelting or cooking a large number of items in bulk it’s what I’m calling the synchronized furnace array and here’s how it works You simply over come over to this chest over here and drop whatever items it is you want to cook or smelt into this chest it can be as much as you want and it can also be many different types of items anything that can be cooked in a Furnace now you simply step back and wait a few moments while the items are evenly distributed amongst the 15 furnaces and as you can see each of them are going to fire up at the exact same time so as long as our resources left in The system that you put in to be cooked these 15 furnaces are going to continue to operate in parallel so what we have here is a synchronized furnace system that requires almost no effort to operate and it’s going to work 15 times faster than a single furnace is going to Now of course there are a few other really nice features in this design first to add fuel to the system you simply put as much fuel as you want into this input chest here I’m using oak planks for demo purposes here just because they burn quickly I know they’re Horrible but you can put in whatever type of fuel you want you can mix and match button choke coal charcoal blaze rods you name it just go ahead and throw it all in there and then once the field is added it’s going to automatically keep each of these 15 furnaces Individually topped off with fuel as long as there is some available so just to demonstrate I can come over to any one of these furnaces here and take some fuel out and you can see they automatically get repopulated it doesn’t matter which one I pick you know this One here I can take some out it’s going to get repopulated automatically so that’s the beauty of this system you never have to refuel any of these furnaces individually you simply just keep a huge bulk amount available in your chests which is going to get pulled Into the back for future supply the next feature of note is the collection method so the first and probably most desirable is going to be the auto collector right here and what that means is as the items are smelted or cooked are going to automatically be pulled out of the Bottom of each of the furnaces and funneled over here to this collection chest for you to pick up at your leisure the other method is the XP mode and what that means is just the alternative the items will stay in the furnaces for you so that you can go pick them up manually And get the XP if you want however I should note that you probably only want to use the XP mode if you’re cooking a single type of item or the system is going to have to pause and wait for you to pick up the items before I can smelt A different type but as you can see we are in Auto collector mode and there’s 15 items that we just cooked finally we have this light here which you’re probably wondering what it does and that is going to be our fuel indicator if the light is on it means all 15 furnaces are Completely topped off with fuel as much as they can hold if the light is blinking that means that some of the furnace is somewhere one of the 15 is actively being refueled and if the light is off for more than a few seconds it means that there is no longer enough Fuel in the system to keep all 15 furnaces topped off and you better get off your butt and put more in now this of course is just an example of what a finished room using this design might look like but behind me I’ve got the complete system at its bare minimum with No extra blocks at it so I’m just going to give you a quick flyby here so you can take a look at what it is you’ll be building as you can see the inside is fairly compact and it doesn’t go back too deep so not too big of a footprint On this thing not too scary to build so let’s do it before we get started these are the resources that you’re going to need to build this thing that’s 18 trap chess right there and 18 normal chess two stacks of hoppers bunch of redstone some repeaters and some comparators Alright let’s go to get started you’re going to put 15 blocks on the ground just like this put redstone torches all along one side like that and dust all along the top next put a couple of temporary blocks right there like that and put a hopper right into the side of It and keep chaining hoppers into each other going down all 15 blocks then go ahead and add your 15 furnaces right on top of each of those hoppers that you just place going all the way down and you can kill those two blocks there you don’t need them now On the backside you’re going to take a hopper and run it into the back of each of the furnaces like this then moving along down here drop a block there and get a row of blocks coming right out of the side of the redstone like that keep It all even then go to your comparators and you’re going to put a comparator coming out of the back of each of those hoppers you just placed now you’re going to grab your regular chess and starting with the end hopper skip every other hopper and put a regular chest on it Like this switch to your trap chest and fill in the gaps and when you got all those done go ahead and double all the chests up alright moving on we’re going to take a block and put it right coming out of the back of that comparator and Carry that all the way down so that all your comparators have a roll of blocks to point in to take a redstone torch and put it on the back of each one of those blocks and then you’re going to take a hopper and put it into the back of all Of these chests pointing into them just like this now grab some more hoppers and place one right down on that last chest just like that and from the back of this now keep chaining your hoppers together like this every hopper in place is going directly into the hopper I place just Before it over here come around the corner and keep placing hoppers into the previous one just like I said and when you get down here break the first one you did and put it into that one so what we did is we just made a big loop of Hoppers is going to make a big circle back over on the front side now you’re going to take some more hoppers and start placing them directly on top of your 15 furnaces just like this go all the way back down to that first end here add two temporarily blocks like that and You’re going to take more hoppers this time jam it into the side of that block and then continue to put them into the side of the previous hopper all the way down like that back over those two blocks you just place go ahead and break The top one and then make a pattern with blocks that looks like this break the middle there grab a couple comparators put one down there one up they’re so they’re both pointing out redstone dust squirt it right there take some block and put it right on the Side of that dust torch right there block there repeater pointing out like that and it takes some more blocks and I just run them all the way down the length of your hoppers like this and redstone dust all the way back to that repeater all right with that repeater That you just placed go ahead and change that to two ticks I put a block right on top of the redstone torch two more coming out and have a dust there repeater leave it on its default ticks and dust like that and I put a torch on The side right there now we’re going to take some more dust and throw it on top of all of these hoppers here on top and you’re going to take some blocks and continue this all the way down what this is doing is cutting off the redstone From the top of hoppers to the blocks below all right down this side now you’re going to take a block and add it right on the end of that last redstone there put a block on top one next to it redstone torch tuck it underneath another block over here like that Take another torch and put it up there and three more dust coming down like that next you’re going to grab your twelve slabs but the first one right there like that so that it’s flush with the other two hoppers and then just continue running them down once you’re Down they’re going to take you some dust put it right there and then take 11 repeaters and run those into the block down there and put them all on four ticks now back over on the back side you’re going to need a row of blocks just below the redstone torches Just like this run those down 15 long all the way one below each torch and put some dust on top of each one alright next we’re going to run a little bit of vertical redstone wiring so come up one block like that put a torch on top of The block block on top of that torch another torch another block and I come around put a torch on the front and it took a little bit of redstone wiring and run it like that now go along to the front of your system here and find the centermost furnace and the block above It in that case that one put a lamp and it’s play case take some blocks and make a little bridge like this and kill that front one take some redstone dust run across your bridge and hook it up into the input signal that you just brought up okay at This point the system is mostly built the only thing left to do is hook up our resource input and our fuel input and trigger the collection mode redstone signal down there but I will say that this is pretty flexible at this point all that matters is your resources to be Cooked are going to go into this hopper here and your fuel is going to go into this hopper here and this signal down here power that is going to switch on and off the collection mode but if you want to finish up the design as it was In the original example go ahead and take some hoppers and come out three from your resource input line like that and put a trap chest on top of it the reason we’re using a trap chest here is so that you can you know shift-click your items into here and kind of look at What you’re going to submit to the system without it automatically getting sucked up they don’t get released until you close the chest and come over here to your fuel input line and run it just right alongside the resource input line come down however you want another Couple or so and put a trap chest on top of it now when you power the collection mode down here you’re going to need a full repeater right there regardless of how you wire it up and then after that you’re free to just take this wire and Run it through whatever lever or switch whatever you want and finally you just need to hook up your output stream for your auto collect mode so just set up an output chest wherever you want it to be and connect a hopper string to that guy right there just like that and you are Done and free to start filling up your furnaces with fuel but regarding that I do want to mention that you know if you have a lot of fuel you can obviously just start dumping it into your chest here and it will automatically fill up all the furnaces for you however it’s Going to take a lot of fuel to fill up those guys so you know if you don’t have quite enough fuel to fill them all up I would recommend just manually putting a little bit smaller stacks into each one just you can start experiencing the glory of synchronized smelting alright Guys that is going to do it let me just throw some random items in here this guy cooking and I do want to mention that this design was first introduced recently in my let’s play series I try to make a habit of introducing all my new designs there First so if you’re not a viewer of it I encourage you to check it out but alright this is tango and till next time guys signing out Video Information
